I moved here from out of state and have been relying on internet and social media for everything. Long story short, I had an accident which resulted in one of my front teeth getting chipped. I initially went to a different dentist and was very dissatisfied. I made a call to Hickory Hills and they had me in the very next day! This place is top notch! I was so impressed by their kindness, professionalism and willingness to listen to my concerns. I NOW have my amazing smile back! I am forever grateful! I would rate them 100 stars if I could! Their office staff is kind and courteous! Thank you again for everything! Highly recommend!

I give Hickory Hills Dental Care 0 stars out of 5. I have a personal experience with this dental practice that I hope no one else ever has to go through. After paying thousands of dollars in cash for crown work that was so improperly fitted and poorly designed I still sit toothless and unable to go to work or eat comfortably. For 10 months now Ive been begging for Dr. Fawcett to fix my crowns or please give me a refund so that I could seek assistance elsewhere. Not only was I told that he was unwilling to give me any kind of refund but I also suffered damage to my existing teeth that were underneath the crowns. Im not sure if I even have enough tooth structure left after the crowns broke, breaking my teeth underneath, to be able to support crowns anymore. Ive have been communicating my concerns for 10 months now & its never helped me the first time. Now Im left with no crowns, damaged tooth structure and no money to be able to have something done. I do not recommend using this practice ever. The only good thing I can say about this practice is the dental assistants/technicians were so sweet & very professional. I urge anyone to be highly cautious before using them for dental services.

I am satisfied with my care at Hickory Hills. Due to my osteoporosis the implants did not heal into the bone of my mouth.They were very nice to me and helpful in explaining what they were going to do in my mouth and if I was OK with the plan. I am scared of dentist. I can nearly stand to get my teeth cleaned. So getting one pulled is a BIG deal. Dr Fawcett and staff are the best. They always reassure me and treat me great. My tooth and an old root was extracted without me feeling any pain and didnt take long. I highly recommend Hickory Hills Dental Care.

Needed a tooth pulled before abscess set in. They were able to get me set up, plan made, tooth pulled, and it was all done so quickly! Couldnt be more pleased! Edited to add that i brought my kids in as patients that and even they were pleased by the kindness of the staff!

I found myself in need of, what I would call, emergency dental work. After scrambling and making a few phone calls, Hickory Hills was the first dental office that made room for me.Upon my arrival I first observed how well maintained the grounds were and that there was a phone in check in system instead of a traditional waiting room. Taking COVID precautions seemed responsible to me and I much preferred waiting in my own vehicle as opposed to sitting in some stuffy waiting room full of old magazines and easy listening, or worse... daytime drama television.Within a few short minutes of checking in, I let myself into the most clean, and professionally decorated dental office Id ever seen. There was no stuffy waiting room, no old magazines, no daytime drama television. Just a bright, clean foyer complimented by a very friendly and courteous staff member who greeted me and gestured me straight through to my next staff member. Everyone introduced themselves as I went along and everyone smiled.After some basic testing I got the news I needed to go under the drill. When I asked when was the soonest I could have the procedure done, I was answered that all I had to do was say the word and we would get started. Forget scheduling another appointment, they were ready to start it right then!And start we did. The good Dr. Fawcett and his staff explained to me the procedure and made sure that I was comfortable both physically and mentally. ( Spinning metal in my mouth makes me nervous from a dental visit in my childhood. Call me old fashioned.)The procedure was painless, and my worries were set aside. So too was the pain I had been experiencing before coming in. Dr. Fawcett and his team have earned their keep in my book. They will be my dental team for life!TLDR:Clean inside and out.Amazing staff.Quality work.

Overall, the best dentist in Florence. They have pros and cons, you only see the dentist upon arrival and at extraction time, ALL consultations are with the nurses. Hannah is the hygienist you want to ask for, she takes the time to go into detail. I was really pleased with the amount of information she gave me in a short time. I will not rate the other nurses because we all have bad days, some more than others.. The dental work is very good, lab work seems high quality also. I will rate 5 stars because of the outstanding dentistry and their willingness to make sure everything is done the right way.KC

I am not a fan of dentists in general, but I love this place for all 4 of my children! They are very friendly and very personable. The place puts you at ease as soon as you walk in with beautiful decor that welcomes you to lounge on one of their extremely comfortable chairs or plush couch while watching their big TV.. They offer you coffee or water immediately while you wait. They never keep you waiting for too long before ushering you back with one of their wonderful dental hygienists who immediately put you at ease with their genuine concern and care. My shy 4 year old who wont talk to anyone wants to go sit in their dental chair when we go. My teenagers love all of them including the dentist! The dentist, Ian Fawcett, is down to earth, so kind, and very patient. Excellent customer service and patient care in every area. You will love this place!!!

On short notice, my family dentist referred me to Dr. Ian Fawcetts office and upon arriving, I was treated with genuine care and concern. Each staff member I encountered displayed the highest level of professionalism and service... often a rarity these days. The office aesthetics reflect great class and style. Upon meeting Dr. Fawcett, he was down to earth, engaging and genuinely interested in my welfare. He offered practical treatment options... all the time making it seem as though we were sitting at a kitchen table casually discussing various ways to approach... like a family member.

I am very impressed and highly recommend them to handle all your dental needs. It is so nice to find a dentist office where they care and make you feel like important. The staff is very friendly and understanding. What I found impressive after my 9 months journey of exploring implants numerous consultation in 2 states and 4 major cities. Dr. Fawcett listen to me he didn’t try to persuade me into more dental work than I needed.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. Amazing facility. I have been terribly afraid of the dentist for over 30 years.The staff here is very very patient and caring. They are so thoughtful and will do whatever it takes to make you comfortable.They even provide blankets for patients that are cold. They are understanding and treat you like family. They have helped with my phobia and I could not thank them enough. They will never know how they helped me mentally when it comes to dentist. Friends for life.

Everything is good about this place. I have a phobia of the dentist and I almost had fun getting a root canal. Can’t recommend them enough.Only con: lack of written instructions. They tell you everything you need to know, but for forgetful people like myself it’s good to have something to look back at.

Highly recommend Hickory Hills Dental. I must say I’m not a dental person, but by far Dr. Fawcett was by far understanding, respectful, and friendly. He didn’t only fix the issues I needed, but he also listened, advised, and made arrangements to give me the smile I wanted. Before Dr Fawcett came to Alabama, I was considering trying a different dentist because of the fear seeing a dentist brings me. After meeting Dr. Fawcett, I must say Hickory Hills Dental will be my home, as long as Dr. Fawcett Is there. Go see them, and let a friendly staff give you the smile you deserve!

Had 1 tooth fixed a couple of months ago and every since I have had 3 in front hurt and 2 on the bottom. Personal opinion is not to go here

I have never had an experience like this at the dentist. Not only were they friendly, but they done a great job on my teeth, and I felt like they cared. I absolutely recommend them.

Update: this review was posted when Dr. Evans owned this practice on Florence Blvd.....People don’t make the first mistake I made by letting just anyone do your root canels.... Dr. Joshua Robinson of Cullman Endodontics PC took X rays and saw the root had not been removed. Dr. Robinson made sure I felt no pain before starting the second root canel correctly! Thanks to Dr. Robinson I’m pain free ..........Don’t feel like you have to “change your looks” for anyone! Get a second opinion.......I do have something nice to say about Dr. Evans staff. Joy Corn, you are an angel and I will miss seeing you every six months....My new dentist is Dr. DeGroote. He is so kind, listened to my problems left behind from Dr. Evans. He repaired my tooth and it looks great!!!

Great staff and quick service.

Refused to take care of what was actually wrong with me! Been in severe pain for days. Then quoted me 2k for the issue!! Very rude and does not listen to the patients problem. Just wants to make as much money off you they can!!
