I had my first ever Botox and lip filler done by Dr.Kowalski. She was very patient and explained everything, she also made me feel very comfortable. Unfortunately I am one of the rare instances and I experienced a severe reaction to the lip filler. The next morning my lips were super swollen and I called pure med spa as soon as they opened. Dr.K reached out to me right away and was able to assist me. Less than 5 days and my swelling is fully gone and my new lips look amazing.

I love Juan Carlos! Prior to going to him I had never been to a med spa before. The 1st visit he spent ample time to help guide what treatments would be best for me and answer all my questions. He made me feel comfortable since this was the first time doing any treatments to my skin. The rest of my visits he has continued to answer all my questions and has been so wonderful to get to know. I’m a student at Estelle spa institute, we had our laser training there with Dawn. It could not have gone better! She was thorough, knowledgeable, entertaining and about business. Dawn got us started right away practicing and filling our minds with the knowledge we want and need to be comfortable with lasers. We were trained not only on one laser but also on an IPL. We also received a personal one on one training that gave us the confidence we need in this industry. The training certificate course was so good I’m hoping to get a job with pure medical spa one day, so that I can help people receive all the benefits from these amazing machines!!

I visited Pure Med Spa today after seeing an advertisement on Instagram. I had read a few negative reviews about their customer service; however, my experience was absolutely positive.The front desk staff was welcoming and friendly, the doctor was professional and detail oriented. The special for Botox was a great value at $7.50 a unit.I will definitely be back and highly recommended them.

Ive had a wonderful experience so far at Pure medical spa. Ive gotten 4 laser treatments so far by Stephanie, shes great and its pretty painless and the results have been gradual but noticeable. What really has me excited about Pure medical spa and the work Im having done there is my lips. Ive been SO self conscious about my face since I was little. Im an adult now and still I struggle because when I look in the mirror I dont see what I want to see. But last Thursday, Nurse Juan Carlos gave me my first syringe of Restalyne in my lips. When it comes to a procedure like this, for me at least, having a nurse like Juan Carlos made what could have been a pretty painful and unpleasant experience into like...a labor of love lol. He let me be kind of a baby about it and hum through the whole thing and his energy was just really straightforward, kind and supportive. Most importantly, he was thoroughly informative about the risks involved in getting my lips done. He did not sugar coat anything, so I was able to make a super informed decision based on how it could potentially go wrong and what to do if it did (which it totally didnt by the way, theyre perfect). Anyways, when I see myself in the mirror now the feeling is always like a happy surprise. I feel like I look as pretty on the outside as I know I am on the inside hehe and the confidence is really empowering. Im going back in a couple of weeks for some botox work to make my smile less gummy. Its a blessing to have found a practitioner who I trust to do this work.

I recently had a poor experience at another med spa and it made me realize how great this one is. Ive been coming to this location on and off over the past two years and I must say that they are the best price/quality combo out there. There is no crazy upsell and the staff is trained well. I have learned my lesson about deal chasing when it comes to my face. They arent the cheapest but they are the best priced option to receive quality service that looks natural.

I was concerned about the balance of my lips. After doing lip injections my top lip was protruding out compared to the bottom and I needed to get it dissolved. Kelli came to the rescue and made time in her busy schedule to dissolve some of the filler. I am so thankful for this kind professional to take care of my concerns. Everyone was really friendly and spa was beautiful inside. I did however bruise really bad after lip injections. Will probably take two weeks for the dark purple bruises above my lip to go away. I would suggest giving people ice afterwards.

I just recently visited Pure Medical SPA. It was my first time getting anything done before and they made it such a great experience. I went in for a consultation since I did not know exactly how much/what I really wanted to get done. They were informative and did not push for me to buy something I did not need. This review is for the wonderful customer service given by Juan Carlos. I have been a client of his since 2011 and Juan still takes the time each visit to listen to what I am hoping to achieve. Furthermore, he takes time to educate me when I have questions about new services. He is punctual with appointments, professional, kind and so much fun. He has done microdermabrasion, Botox and laser hair removal for me- all with consistently great results. I feel very safe with Juan Carlos during the pandemic. He is very conscientious about safety and hygiene. The spa is clean and the staff is lovely but they could work on social distancing and traffic flow as the space is tight. I suggest arriving right on time to your appointment so that you can go directly to the private office with Juan Carlos.

Dr. Danuta dermal fillers goddess! Along with Dr Danuta’s vast knowledge and expertise, comes a great deal of compassion and understanding. She will work with you, within your budget, but I will say, when it comes to you Botox and dermal fillers work, INVEST in yourself and your skin. Dr Danuta will tell you what you CAN have not what you can’t. She is great inasmuch as, she won’t try to up sell you by pointing out flaws in your face, that need “filling”. They were very friendly and explained to me all about the procedure, what to expect, and what healing may look like. First time getting dermal lip fillers, and my experience was 10/10. The med spa is nice, clean and in a great location. Kelli, RN did my injections of juvederm ultra. She was kind, patient, and friendly. She really made me feel comfortable. She was also gentle while injecting, and had good technique. I highly recommend this medical spa, and I plan on returning in the near future.

I found a Groupon for laser hair removal and decided to contact them before purchasing it. I spoke to Kelsey “the manager” first, who assured me that they’d match the groupon and referred me to talk to Joslyn (who’s no longer there) for my consultation. I explained to them that I would need Saturday appts, because I don’t drive and I have a 3-year old, so I rely on my husband to drive me and watch our kid during my appointments. I was paired with Joslyn and was assured that they’d accommodate my schedule. More importantly, I made sure to ask them (more than once over FB, email, AND TEXT) that if I needed additional sessions that they’d match the Groupon. I still have the messages that prove that they had promised to price match the Groupon, should I need additional sessions so that I don’t buy another voucher from Groupon (the voucher limit was 2 per customer). So, I went ahead and purchased only 1 voucher and was very excited about receiving my sessions, after all the details and guarantees that were given to me about seeing results right away.Well, 9 sessions later and I can honestly tell you that my experience went from good to bad to worse every month. Not only did they NOT honor their promise, but I didn’t get the results from their laser hair removal. First, Joslyn left just after 2 sessions so I got paired with Larissa. Larissa was a great laser tech expert and I don’t blame her at all for the poor results or experience I had, because she was very knowledgeable and she took her time with me, covering all the spots. I believe the machine that they use is NOT a strong laser. It’s an IPL machine that has multiple functions FYI. And I am a perfect candidate for laser hair removal (I have very fair skin with dark hair). Larissa, doesn’t work on Saturdays and that by itself was a major hassle for me, because now my husband had to leave work early every month to make it to my appointments there and it’s a 1-hour drive for us. To make matters worse, they rarely had appointments after 4 and always asked me to come early, even though they knew all about my circumstances and the trouble they were putting me through for not sticking with my schedule (as promised). They even once randomly scheduled me with someone else and I had to reschedule as its not advisable to keep switching between different techs. But considering their unprofessionalism they didnt really care. And even then, I still ALWAYS came on time, and sometimes managed to come in earlier at their request. So instead of accommodating me, it was the other way around (so much for good customer service).After my 6 sessions were done, Larissa explained that I would need at least 3 more. So, when I reminded them about their promise to price match my groupon, they acted like they didn’t know anything about that and Kelsey came up and said, “Oh, well that Groupon offer expired.” I was like, “Yeah, but I was promised that you would honor the price if I needed more sessions, as you and Joslyn assured me and I still have the messages.” She actually asked me to pull them up (insinuating that I was lying) and after I showed her the messages from Joslyn she turned all sour and was like “Okay I could do that as a one-time thing but I can’t risk my job blah blah!” Umm, excuse me, had I known you were not going to honor the groupon I wouldn’t have bought it in the first place, nor came to your spa! They weren’t honest or straightforward with me from the start and they ended up charging me the same price for 3-sessions only. At that point, I no longer wanted to go there anymore but considering I only needed 3 more sessions to see the results so I got stuck with them. Needless to say, 9 sessions later and my hair has only reduced to about 40 percent. It was a total waste of time and money for me and I DON’T recommend them for laser hair removal. Look elsewhere and save your money. They have the worst customer service!

I had my first appt with Nurse Juan Carlos, and they were absolutely wonderful. They listened to what my needs and concerns were and talked through everything. The results from our session were exactly what I’d hoped for! I already have my next appt booked!

I been here twice but the last time I was there , my lips were left with a few lumps and that’s ok because I know some times that can happen , but when I call to get them fix they schedule my appointment, and when I got there they charged me 100 to get them fix . The girl was very rude and told me that because she didn’t do them she had to charge because I was wasting her valuable time . So I paid but instead of fixing them she made more lumps . When I called back and explain the situation they told me to text them and it’s been a month and I haven’t hear from anyone , so I’m walking around with really lumpy lips .Not to mention that I referred a good 10 people there ...

I do not recommend this place. I was scheduled doing a Juvederm with DR. but Gabbie was doing the procedure. Not professional at all, I have done the juvederm Ultra XC for 4th times in the past but this place was my first time. After the procedure my lips was not pluming and not bigger than my original lips at all. ( not see the good result and any changes) She told me to refill it again soon. More sales man than beauty consultant. Id rather go somewhere else.

I unfortunately bought a package & despite already gotten 4 out of the 6 services my skin has not seen any difference. I expressed my dissatisfaction but they are more into selling their products than pleasing the consumer, I should not have to break the bank to see results. My first experience was good but since than its been unsatisfactory, last time I went I had an appointment I was a little late but even after being buzzed in it took them more than 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me, overall for being a result driven spa they really fall short on results. Bottom line dont waste your money aside from 1 of the estechicans saying something rude on my last visit & of course not seeing any difference in my skin, this place is very disorganized & all over the place when it comes to being professional.

I have gotten my lips done many times from a medical spa in the suburbs but have NEVER loved the results as much as when Dr. Danuta did them. She was very professional and would stop periodically to let me look and confirm I liked the results. Very happy with my experience and will be back again.

They are following the safest protocol with having to wash your hands before entering (sink is outside), having your temperature taken, and hands sanitized. It was my first time there and Jocelyn was beyond professional and just pleasant. Glad I went!

I went in for a Venus versa treatment with Bridget and my skin has never looked better! I have been struggling with hyperpigmentation and scaring that has immensely improved. Very kind and educational :)

I love this spa. First of all, they really care. I had lip injections and didn’t use the whole vial, so they saved it and told me to come back in a week in case I needed to even it out, or in case I wanted to use the rest for a wrinkle fill.I went back today & they had a selfie station, wine, coffee, and a candy bar. This is really a great, fun place with talented Doctors who care about their clients.

I have been coming to Pure Medical Boutique for a couple of months, and I have a welcoming experience every time. I’ve struggled with severe acne and acne scarring the last couple of years. Just moved to Chicago and I chose Dr Kowalski as my primary care dr. This post isn’t about that but is about how great she is and I just discovered she also does Botox and filler. It’s kind a great to build a relationship w a doctor and be able to have that doctor for multiple services. I have interacted w her once for my initial visit and have my first filler/ Botox appt tomorrow and can’t say enough that if she is as personable and thorough in the esthetic side as she is on the medical side then I would never choose another doctor. Groupon purchase for Botox - definitely going back!! Kristen was AMAZING! I arrived 15 minutes early and she saw me right away. She was thoughtful in getting to know me and my medical history. She made me feel comfortable throughout the injections and definitely didnt try to over-sell me on what I needed. Kristen also did a great job at making me an informed customer - she shared that they would bank any leftover Botox units from my Groupon and she educated me on the Brilliant Distinctions rewards program. I was incredibly pleased - best experience Ive had getting Botox thus far!

Have had various treatments with amazing results!! Joslyn Furlan is my Aesthetician and she is amazing. Professional and extremely knowledgeable. The staff are very friendly and the office is beautiful.

My experience with Dr. Danuta Kowalski was not only favorable but everything I could have hoped. I am sorry that a previous reviewer had an opposite experience.Moving on, I found the girls at the front desk, one in particular, to be incredibly rude. This woman talked incessantly about herself; where she previously worked, how she was #1 but was still owed money by that company and then back again about what a terrific job she had done...elsewhere.When she looked at my face she told me I milia, melasma and I probably have another horror beginning with the letter M. I am not 25 or 29 or 30 or 35 I am 66 and look pretty good all things considered...at least I thought so until she ran me into the ground. Upon looking at my unfortunate visage she wanted me to invest in a series of some sort of lifting/tightening procedures. Youd think she could have come up with something nice to say about me or to me. And I am no schlub as is in evidence below, btw picture on the left 02/2017 on the right 06/2016. Not bad for an old lady, eh?P.S. This last year has taken a tremendous toll on me due to a recent unsuccessful surgery which has played havoc with my looks and has had me up most nights due to severe pain, and worst of all I committed the egregious sin of not wearing makeup. Gosh what was I thinking?I went there for a much needed wrinkle reducer(Botox). I figured if I am going to be injected with all the hospital medicine I should at least get a syringe full of something that will make me look better, which it did, thanks to Dr. Kowalski.

I unfortunately cannot say how great of a service Dr. Danuta provides because I have never gotten anything done there, and never will! However, on the aspect of kindness and treating “plain” humans with respect, she should not work there. And I say this because I applied to work there as a RN injector working under Dr. Kowalski, I was invited for an interview by Dr. Kam (who’s extremely nice!), however, when I got there Dr. Kowalski had no idea I’m coming. Anyhow, our interview was me standing in her doorway while Dr. Kam was convincing her I’d be a great candidate and her bluntly showing me I’m not even welcome here. Pretty much, she told me this is a hard industry to get in to and you’re not good enough. Yet, I’m an ICU nurse who got her first nursing job in the ICU so I believe I am pretty ambitious and skilled. And on a side note, neurosurgeons or any other highly skilled physicians who I have the pleasure to work with and who “should” hold their head high, as Dr. Danuta does, don’t. That just shows something. This post is absolutely not intended for me to vent that I didn’t get this job (because after this experience even if I was offered the position I’d deny it anyway), but just my opinion about what type of person she is, as no matter how skilled the doctor is, I don’t want a rude person ever touching me. However, besides Dr. Kam, the girls at the front desk were also very pleasant. One way or another, a review written on Yelp that I have read about how she asked the patients daughter if she is PMSing and the Trump comments seem 100% a type of thing she’d say. You wanna make business lady, learn some manners!

Ive been working with Kelsey for years and highly recommend her. Shes such a doll and VERY knowledgeable. I go to her for everything: Laser hair removal, laser skin tightening/fat reduction, Microderm, etc.I also love Dr. Danuta, she does my botox. I get all my medical grade skincare from here, and a plus is that you get 50 points every time you spend $250. They are also affiliated with Brilliant Distinctions, which is great. Im there all the time and love the services I receive.
