Good experience overall. I have never been to an urgent care before, but after today I’d definitely return. Upon arrival I was greeted and walked through how to sign in. Receptionist’s were very helpful and friendly. I was the first one there and the wait was a bit long, but understandable since I was a first timer and needed to be put into the system. Staff was exceptionally friendly, Sasha and Stacy were the nurses that provided me with care. They had me in and out of the facility in a good amount of time and were very helpful and friendly. Would recommend MedExpress to anyone for their medical needs, and would definitely make another visit if needed. All in all, great experience, and great staff.

UPDATE: I’ve been back twice since they changed ownership/mgmt. The staff are still wonderful & sweet, but not as efficient as before. One thing I will say they have improved big time is the same-day appointment, which seems done very well. I wish more places had theirs set up this way!——————The process of signing in, getting seen, and being sent on our way was extremely impressive at this place. Dr. Handler was one of the sweetest and most efficient doctors I’ve ever seen at an urgent care.Even the front desk was exceptional: I had just gotten a new insurance through my work and didn’t know my new info. The front desk not only found my info, but they even took the time to print me an insurance card.Urgent cares are rarely a 5-star experience. This place is the exception - I highly recommend.

Cherry Hill NJ location. Awful place to deal with. I needed to go in for a urine drug test. So I called 2 days ahead of time and asked to make an appointment, they said it’s not necessary. So I show up 2 days later and there are 11 people ahead of me. I’m explained to the from desk that this is for a urine test and I called about an appointment and was told I didn’t need one. All he kept saying was “well, you don’t need one, but appointments take priority” I explained that’s why I tried to make one and he kept repeating the same thing. I then had to wait almost 2 hours, all while holding my urine. After waiting two hours and was “next” I got bumped down to “three patients ahead of you”When I called they could have explained how the appointments worked and gave the option to make one. But they made it sound like they don’t make appointments, well, they do. Very frustrating process, especially for a urine test. I was also told on Friday that the person that does the urine tests isn’t in until today, so even though I didn’t need to see a doctor I still had to wait in line behind everyone that did. I will never use this place again and I will make sure everyone I know takes their medical needs elsewhere.I also called in the main office and selected the option the speak to someone about a recent visit (this was press 2). I pressed 2 waited 10 minutes and was told I hit the billing queue. I asked to be transferred and the agent said she can’t transfer calls. Interesting, first call center in history that doesn’t have the ability to transfer callers. This place is a joke and should’ve embarrassed about the (lack of) “services” they supply.Each time I went back in to try to get an answer from the front desk I was given the runaround.And now they called me to come in for my visit and I almost missed it because their calls come from ALLIED HOME MORTGAGE on Caller ID. This just keeps getting better and better!!!!

I visited this location as a walk-in for an urgent Hand issue. The check in and triage procedures were orderly and prompt. The wait time was smooth and accurate. The service of the staff and physician was excellent. I would visit this place again hands down

I saw Dr Hong MD and she was professional, efficient and absolutely right with regard to diagnosis and recommended follow up. Staff was also very kind and helpful. If you’re in the unfortunate position of needing urgent care, you’ll be in good hands here.

It was the worst experience in my life . First you will fill the same information 2 times online and in person. Then you will wait . I waited for 5 hrs to get COVID 19 test done (rapid testing) .Then you will face unprofessional nurses and stuff . They don’t treat you as human being . We understand that there is pandemic but if we all wearing masks and taking precautions , I think that is ok to start with .They call you through the phone while you are staying hours in the room . This is not accepted at all .I will never be back to this place for any reason .

I’ve been to this location numerous times, and don’t plan on coming back here. Not only did I spend 3 hours here yesterday with my husband and toddler, but it was virtually a complete waste of time. I came in for horrible lower lumbar pain, (unrelated to my chronic back issues), I was wanting to get an X-ray to rule out any bone injury. I saw Dr. Hong, and it was the most unpleasant medical appointment I’ve had in 29 years. When I think of why people become doctors, I believe they enjoy helping people and are passionate about their career choice, this particular doctor did not seem that way. She pretty much came to zero diagnosis about the reason I came in, and the whole time made my husband and I feel belittled. In addition to her lack of bedside manner, she kept circling back to my current prescription almost assuming I was there to look for pain medications. Never one time did I ask about something for pain, I simply wanted to get down to the cause of my problem and have an X-ray. Needless to say she was a miserable doctor, and left a horrible taste in my mouth about Med Express in cherry hill. The experience was so disheartening, enough to prompt me to write such a bad and lengthy review. She was extremely rude and on such a high horse, I’m disappointed to know there are doctors like this. Your doctor should never make you feel the way I felt at that appointment.

No one likes going to the doctor but they made it as pleasant and professional an experience as possible.Dr. Handler and her staff were doing a great job at trying to provide quality medical care during a pandemic. Triage is not easy when your trying to figure out who needs to come inside for a regular ailment and who needs to be screened for COVID. I highly appreciate the doc and staff being outside in the heat during the screenings( seriously medexpress, get them a fan or something)The doc and her staff were exceptionally sanitary , professional , knowledgeable and approached the weird world we are living in with humor and humility. They also got back to me with my results within 24 hours. I would definitely use their services again.

Everyone there is great, but I want to give a big thank you to James at the front desk for always being pleasant, funny, and honest. I was bit by a feral cat at work (I’m a vet tech), and have had to come in on a few occasions for follow-ups. James has been there every time, has remembered me when I come in, and has been nothing less than amazing. His customer service skills, professionalism, and sense of humor are admirable. He is a wonderful face for the company, and deserves recognition for that. Working in the medical field, I know that when things get hectic sometimes it’s hard to continue on with a positive attitude, but James perfects that. Thank you to everyone at MedExpress for being wonderful as well! Doctors and nurses are kind, thoughtful, and patient, and make sure to answer all questions thoroughly. I appreciate you all!

Honestly, After reading a few of the reviews on this place, it was discouraging going in for the first time, was my first choice because of the distance to my house.However, after being here two times within two months I have to say I am very pleased. The front desk is very nice and polite, they answered all of the questions I have. Both times I have went there have been two doctors working as well as a few nurses, People should complain less or go at a non-peak busy time. Doctors were very nice and yes, they are able to prescribe medication as needed.

I understand the wait time is tricky because of COVID, but I made an appointment and had to wait about 2hrs beyond my appointment time to get it. That was unfortunate, but I have empathy for the circumstances and appreciate the time they take to maintain safety protocol.The woman who called me to check me in and get my history over the phone was slow and seemed unfamiliar with the software she was using, but she was the nicest person imaginable. She was kind, friendly, informative, and considerate.The doctor I saw had the worst bedside manner Ive ever encountered in my life, and Ive spent extensive time in hospitals and doctors offices for my own and my familys needs. She was continuously curt, showed no care or sympathy, and was outright insensitive.I just left an abusive relationship and Im currently nomadic, hopping around between different states to stay with different family members for short periods of time. Im unemployed, dont have a car, and am minimally scraping by. I also have PTSD, posing an extra challenge in this context. With that background, I can now share what bothered me the most about this visit:The doctor lectured me and actually reprimanded me repeatedly for 80% of the time I was there about how I shouldnt be there because what I was being checked for is for a primary care doctor, not urgent care. I was being checked for a couple of things that could have been very serious issues; I had called an old doctor I used to see from another state originally, because I couldnt afford to see a doctor at that time, and she said I needed to go see urgent care about my concerns ASAP. But when I did, I was treated like I had done something wrong and my concerns were irrelevant. I was scared and did not deserve to be treated the way that I was. I dont have a primary care physician because, as I said, Im moving all over. Her response to that was well then get a doctor near your parents because they live here. I tried to explain that Im not here long enough for that and that my parents are also moving in the near future, and she cut me off before I could even finish and proceeded to ignored me. The issues I was getting checked for also cannot wait the 4 months it takes just to get a new patient appointment with a primary care Dr, and then another month or two after that before theyll even give me an appointment to get checked. I know how it works because Ive made the attempts repeatedly. Most doctors arent even accepting new patients right now as well! But again, when I tried to explain any of that, I was interrupted and shut down.This doctor from your facility who was supposed to make me feel safe and cared for, who was supposed to address my concerns and not berate me for trying to take care of my body in the only way I could at that time, did the exact opposite. She was dismissive, did not care enough to look at my history and ask if anything she was doing to me might be a trigger for my PTSD (and it was, causing me to have major anxiety and flashbacks for days after I left), she would ask me important questions but cut me off only about 8 words into my answer therefore leaving her with barely any information regarding my concerns. Im beside myself and will never ever go back to this urgent care center again, nor will I ever recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I were treated today for an upper respiratory infection. Dr Heidi Handler treated us with compassion and care. She explained the treatment in depth and even told us the days she was working in case we needed to contact her. The wait seemeed a little long but it was the weekend between Christmas and New Years day.I will definitely be come back again for care.

Do NOT go here for a covid-19 test. I scheduled and appointment for Tuesday at 5pm and they made me wait for an hour an half because no one was working the drive thru covid testing site. They claimed they were busy inside when really there were two people sitting in the waiting room and 10 cars waiting to go through the covid test drive thru. They told me I’d get my test results back in 2-3 days and when I still hadn’t heard by Saturday they told me someone mislabeled my sample so I had to go back again. At least they saw me right away the second time instead of making me wait. They also said they’d expedite my results and I should get them in 24 hours but it’s been over 24 hours and no results. Going here is an absolute complete waste of time. The only reason I gave them two stars and not one is because Dr. Heidi was very nice and had a good bedside manner.

I needed to get a covid test before a procedure, which had to be done within 6 days of it. I had been directed to a rapid test facility in Medford but they didnt pick up the phone in the three days I called them, nor did they call back when I was once able to leave a voice message.I called the surgical facility and they recommended MedExpress on Rt. 38. They dont do rapid testing but Labcorp expedites covid testing for people who need it presurgically.Everyone I interacted with, from the person who scheduled my appointment to the person doing the triage screening, the technician who took the sample and the doctor who spoke to me afterwards, was courteous, helpful and professional.Ive never been there or any MedExpress before but I would return in the future if I needed to and would be feel comfortable to.

I went in with an injury to the back of my right ankle. A 2 gash that was pretty deep. They nurse took me right away, took my vitals and info and then right back to see the PA for stitches. He cleaned the wound and stitched me up. I was, as always, very impressed with the staff of my local MedExpress.

Top notch care! Registration process was simple and quick. After a reasonable wait, met and spoke with courteous medical assistant (MA). MA checked all vital signs and reviewed all medical history. Afterwards, I was escorted to exam room and told the doctor will be in shortly. Doctor was extremely friendly and caring. Doctor listened carefully and conducted a thorough exam. Doctor explained diagnosis and remedies. After checkout, I left with a strong impression that I received quality patient care and treatment. Every one there showed empathy and concern. I highly recommend visiting MedExpress UC.

I would give it ZERO stars but I can’t.What is the point of going in for follow up appointments and visits if nothing gets written down. Some rude staff, and takes an hour-2 hours to be seen when only three people are in front of you.Don’t recommend. I will skip this place for any incidents.*editFor my review, I was there 3 times this week for my work related incident. And now I’m being told over the phone when I have a question about my medication I was prescribed, that none of what I said was taken down and my incident is closed.They said I would have to go in and use my insurance and pay whatever isn’t covered for my question to be answered. Went to go get covid testing and they made the experience to take the longest ever.. And added in features that werent even nessacary. And after they took the test they threaten us that they wouldnt process the test unless the doctor takes our heart rate.. Weve been in the parking lot for 4 hours and we are starving.. Do not go to this place if you want covid testing.. very getto.. do no recommend..

So kind and professional. They all made us feel right at home. We had to return with the same child for a new symptom a few days later and they allowed us to come in at no extra charge. They even worked extensively with us to find the best prescription since we were paying out-of-pocket for our medicines. Would rate it as the best immediate care clinic experience we have ever had.

I went there on a Sunday. Had minimal wait and got to see a friendly, caring doctor. She didnt seem to have much experience and after diagnosing me, she went out for a few minutes. When she came back, she said she had discussed my situation with her colleague and changed my diagnosis. This second one ended up being correct.My insurance made a mistake with the billing so MedExpress charged my credit card for the full amount. Eventually my insurance paid the bill and without me doing anything, MedExpress sent me a check for the difference.All in all, it was a great experience. In and out in about an hour. Cant complain.

Made a visit here for the first time today. I never went to an urgent care before, but the experience was exactly how I expected. I was checked in right away, didnt wait very long and was seen within 20 minutes. The staff and doctors were very friendly and knowledgeable, I couldnt be happier with my experience. The waiting room wasnt very busy (about 5 people including myself), so I cant speak for a busy waiting room, but it was very spacious and very clean. Its just like visiting a doctors office or an ER, but in my opinion its better. Thank you MedExpress for taking care of me and getting me the prescription I need!!

Tried to steal a copay when we’re at our out of pocket max. Slow, never enough doctors on staff. Just in general a trash place. We’ve tried going here twice based on location but both times we ended up leaving and going to Patient First instead. Much better place, no issues there.

Front desk was very thorough checking me in and the gentleman ( I think his name was Vince) checking my vitals was also very kind and attentive but the Asian lady doctor was beyond unhelpful and very dismissive. She refused to even look at me after I had already been there for an hour because I use state insurance medicaid. Told me she wouldnt help me and to seek help from the ER if I needed advisement. You cant make this stuff up. She is clearly not interested in actually helping anyone but herself, and has no problem wasting peoples time. Never again.

The staff went above and beyond for me ! I went there with a torn muscle they brought me back in for a follow up because they didn’t like the symptoms i had. I needed x rays but had my kids with me . They made a coloring station for them made them feel at home. The staff was the best I’ve seen in a long time.

As always a positive experience. I have been to this location 3 times and ever single time I was more than satisfied. The staff is always so pleasant and professional. I find these negative reviews hard to believe. What I like about this location, besides the kind staff, is that the doctors actually listen to you. I have been to a Cooper urgent care and it was a nightmare. This will be my goto urgent Care from here on out. I cant stress enough how amazing the entire staff is. ❤

The Chinese Dr. who resembles shrek is in for a rude awakening when her terrible attitude catches up to her weight. The behavior from all of the staff is cringe worthy. I will never go to this med express again. I will drive to the one all the way out in Woodbury. First, it was New Years day and the staff working here were unprofessional and acted like they were annoyed that they had to do their job. While walking out the door we decided we didnt like the place. Then to top it off, they couldnt even do their job correctly and coded our visit wrong. We paid cash in full for all 3 of our kids, but received bills for all 3 of our kids. So I had to be inconvenienced and call billing to straighten it out. Save yourself the trouble and go to a different location. Or go to patient first.

We came to Urgent care because my daughter went hiking in Idaho and I thought my daughter had a broken foot. So she came home and we went straight to Urgent care. It was 10 am and we went in to Med Express in Cherry Hill. When we got there we were seen by Dr. Kathy Wilkes not only were her bed size manners horrible and she was very condescending. There wasnt anybody in the waiting room at the time of arrival and she refused to do a X-ray she didnt even touch the foot and just said it looks sprain if in 2-3 days it still hurts then come back and I will do a x-ray then. That didnt sit very well with me so I left and just went to my regular Dr. office. Who was very upset at how Dr. Wilkes handled the situation and said they thought I should go back and request the X-ray. Which I did (same day) Dr. Wilkes seemed extremely upset at us and if I thought her bedside manners were horrible the first time they were even worst this time. She made us wait in the room for over an hr. as she talked about us to the other Dr/nurse on duty ( We were able to hear everything). Then when she came to give us the results she opened the door with only her head in the door and said not broke and closed the door. I went out and kindly asked for a copy of the records and she replied front desk.Needless to say if my daughters foot is broken or not this isnt what you come to urgent care for. I am sorry if I was a worried mother and wanted an X-ray. I was very disappointed with everything about this visit and would never recommend anybody to go to this location.

HORRIBLE!!! The Dr gives you 2 minutes of their life and moves on. I went back because the Penicillin they gave me for Strep was not working and they shooed me off with no care. IT WASNT STREP I HAD A VIRAL INFECTION. THANK YOU FOR NOTHING. Everyone is nice. But the service is anything but urgent. 2 plus hours to get an antibiotic for a kidney infection is unbelievable. I have gone to the urgent care closer to my house and never waited very long. In fact I was in and out within 30 mins.

Dr. Michael Duchesneau is awful. He took a half hour to come into the room, only to tell me my 4 year old was having an allergic reaction.......which she couldve told you herself! Her face was bright red and swollen. He was dressed more like a janitor than a doctor, still had the tags on his sneakers, which makes me think twice about how bright he is. Then we waited another 10 minutes for her prescription! Unbelievable. Im probably going to get a second opinion because of how unprofessional this Doctor was. Its a shame for the rest of the staff that was actually doing their jobs.

I would never even ATTEMPT to come to this Urgent care again! I myself work at an Urgent Care out of the area so I know the deal with this stuff. Stopped here because it was close. They wouldnt even see my son! They just DECIDED they wouldnt be able to get a good chest xray on him. he wouldnt stay still. He had a possible fracture. I know my child and he has had PLENTY of procedures done before and behaved just fine. They were rude and seemed like they had nothing but excuses. Even claimed their Xray machine doesnt take good pictures?! AND that they didnt want to expose my son to radiology, when WHEREVER he goes he will need an xray and will be exposed regardless. I ended up taking my son to the ER, where by the way the rad tech there said he was the best behaved 4 years old he ever took an xray of! just ridiculous! NEVER AGAIN! They didnt care about the patient or family at all!

Took over an hour to be seen even though no one was there when I walked in; other patients were taken back before me. When doctor arrived, couldnt understand him due to him mumbling. Meds prescribed didnt work, called back for additional script & no one returned call. Called back next day, & receptionist did not believe that the doctor did not call me & argued with me about missing phone call/not checking VM. Doctor finally called back & asked me to come in again to be seen, which would have resulted in an additional fee. I declined. Will not be attending this urgent care again.

We came to the Urgent Care on 6/11/17 around 4:30 pm because my daughter was having really high fevers When we got to the Med Express in cherry hill we where seen by Dr. Kathy Wilkes.D.O its the most horrible experience ever very negative and not only you can see on her expressions her discomfort with us but also was to obvious that she was racist. Her bed size manners are horrible ,he made us feel like we where stupid for been there and she try to said that I was stupid because I was asking if my daughter was ok. There was not body in the waiting room at the time of the arrival and she didnt do anything to comfort my baby girl with only 14 moths old. She walk out of the room for a while my baby star crying and I wait very patience in the room until I noticed that she was taking to long,so I decided to open my room and there she was in her desk just standing making me wait for nothing while my baby keep crying for a high fever of 101.9 Not to mentioned that she did introduce her self,and that she only used her hand or body language to communicate with me. This people had a tittle but not education once who ever, rude and nasty, she look at me like I was wasting her time for been there. Sorry doctor for been a worry baby mom,sorry for making you do your job.Thank you for not treating my daughter. Oh and yes I do speak English and I also comprehend everything you said.

I have been here numerous times. While they were attentive the wait is long - they should do a triage process, as sometimes I see people in much or more medical distress than myself and get confused. They were prompt in helping me though, and if anything gave me entirely too many meds to treat my problem. It beats the problem I run into with ERs way too often- not being given helpful meds at all.

The doctor was chatting for almost half an hour while they kept me waiting. I actually felt like I was even bullied when I asked when the doctor will show up because my baby was crying in the waiting room for so long. When the doctor decided to quit her chat and arrived, she was not even helpful. She even made a rude remark about other cultures practicing medicine in a poor manner to insult me as if she lives in a country, where people are getting free and high quality health services like Denmark or Norway. How ignorant!She was a family doctor. When you call to get an appointment from them, they act like they are experts on all sorts of illnesses including pediatrics. They just act like they are treating you, but in reality all you do is to get a referral and pay a large sum of bill for absolutely nothing. What a waste of time and money for no service! All I got was an insult, which I didnt need when I was sick! Dont recommend it to anyone!

We were there for my husband today. for he gotten sick of fever and pain hip so they took x-ray even he told a doctor maria that he has history of shingles anyway after that nothing couldnt see any problems on x-ray and the doctor anne maria asked to my husband that so do you think you need a prescription for shingles cuz you had history of shingles?so my husband asked her back do you think i need that medison? ..As my opinion if she doesnt know for sure ,what is going on and what is problems with him shouldnt even be there for patients period. so we had no choice today make him feel better so just took that prescription well it wasnt worth it to get help! Next time something happens for my family i would drive go somewhere else who could be really professionally take care of my family ! It was disappointed

Cranky staff, arrogant doctors. They behave this way because they can do so without reprisal. I did get help but the miserable experience is on them. No one is impressed with ego.

I left work early to go in, knowing I just need an antibiotic. I been very sick with sinus and respiratory infection for 3 days now. Im a single mom, missing work and staying home to rest is not an option. I did explain that to the doctor. She checked me and did a strep test. She comes back in the room saying strep was negative and that I dont really look that sick! She tried giving me a script for a steroid. I told her I wont take a steroid. They make me very sick! She tells me to go to work tomorrow so i just got up and walked out empty handed!!! I will NEVER go there again. I was there 2 1/2 hours and the place was empty. I was in tears on the way home. What a WASTE OF TIME!!!

I brought my 14 year old in on saturday morning. waited an hr and a half. They barely swabbed her throat for strep and then when the doctor came in his answer was I THINK the strep test was negative. Well he was wrong now her strep is worse and this could have been prevented instead of rushing us out the door. I WILL NEVER TRUST THIS KIND OF FACILITY EVER AGAIN. EVER.

Thee worst experience ever ! Waited for 48 minutes before being helped only to see the doctor chatting away with the medical assistants . They put me in a room for almost another 15 minutes before I went out to the desk again to see how much longer the doctor would be only to see her chatting away again and almost was annoyed at me asking . I will never go back!
