I called yesterday and was able to make an appointment later in the afternoon to have my son Covid tested and checked out after running a fever for 4 days . I called upon my arrival and was brought right back to a room. The receptionist, nurse, and doctor were all wonderful. I work in healthcare at an urgent care myself and I was very pleased with this facility . Will definitely use again if needed.

I took my (then) 7 month old here for possible allergic reaction or stomach bug per recommendation from her pediatrician. We arrived 15 minutes prior to their listed closing, and according to my child’s pediatrician ,they didn’t seem to think it would be an issue. Our doctor made it seem like they took their last patient at 10pm, but didn’t shut down the entire business at 10pm.Anyway, we arrived and had to wait until the front desk person finished paperwork before we could check in (I guess it’s good my child wasn’t having a life threatening emergency). Finally got checked in and were reminded that they closed soon. Brought back to the room to wait for the doctor, again was complained to that they close soon and that they were getting an influx of people coming through the door. Doctor comes in, basically says because they are closing soon that we can’t stay to monitor my infant and that she can give her Benadryl and that we need to go to the emergency room. I was totally uncomfortable with giving my infant Benedryl, specifically because she’s never had it before, and we were even sure this was an allergic reaction. When I expressed my concern and frustration that we were being rushed to make a decision, the doctor got super defensive and said “we’re closing soon, this is not my fault!”.Truly an unreal experience. Running a pediatric urgent care with zero compassion or care for patients. I did not listen to the advice of this doctor and decided not to pump my baby full of an antihistamine and then get into the car by myself with her. I just left.I would recommend going anywhere else than here. They run this place like a retail business- when they close, its get the F out

Took my 2 year old for a UTI antibiotic, and upon getting a suspicious quick test was then forced to get a catheter test because they believed the urine test could have been contaminated. I am not sure how it would have been contaminated, her entire lower body was sterilized prior to the test. My daughters anatomy was not large enough for the catheter, it was traumatic, and in the end there was no urine in the bladder. Instead of giving a prescription, the doctor who was visibly upset with me for asking for an antibiotic wanted to try again minutes after the failed attempt. We left to go elsewhere, I can’t believe they would put a toddler through that experience for a straightforward diagnosis.

We have been there several times and every time they have been quick and efficient. They are also super kind and very good to my children. No one wants to take their child to the doctor or have their child sick, but it’s so nice to have a place to go with people whom you trust and always treat your child well when the pediatrician is closed.

The check in process was a long wait due to a computer issue or else I would have given 5 stars. Things always happen on Sundays in our house and I was so glad to not have to go t the ER for an infected spider bite on my daughters thigh. She’s very shy and the staff was nice and welcoming to her. Will return if needed.

Amazing care for a very sick child right before closing. The entire staff was patient and kind, and treated her just as if she was the first patient of the day, even though it was 9:45pm. I am so grateful for the care we received!! Thank you!

Literally the most PAINFULLY SLOW urgent care/ pediatric dr I’ve ever been to. An hour and a 1/2 from the time i got there with my 3 year old to be seen and done when there is literally only 2 other patients in the entire place. This is not up to up to DuPont or Advocare standards at all. I can’t believe this is the urgent care Advocare doctors recommend. We will not be returning save yourself the hour plus wait time and aggravation and go to PM Urgent care

I visited with my 13 month old today. All around, I couldn’t ask for a better experience. From signing in and filling out paperwork, one of the wonderful girls came out and was helping me wrangle my wandering toddler while I signed stuff. The nurse was wonderful with my son and entertained him while she was checking his vitals etc. The doctors were very helpful and calmed my concerns with the issue we were having. They even numbed his infected toe so he wasn’t in pain. Not a single tear was shed. Everyone went above and beyond in my eyes. If they were a primary care doctor, I would be switching pediatricians.

I had to bring my daughter in for an urgent care visit on Halloween. We had an amazing experience! From the woman at the front desk to the medical assistant, the nurse , and the physician, we could not have been treated any better. They calmed my daughter and made me comfortable as well. My older daughter keeps asking to go now that she knows that they give patients ice pops. Simply an amazing experience! Hopefully we never have to visit again, but it is wonderful to know that if we have to visit again there is a place like this just for kids so close to home.

Bad experience. The doctor saw us when the office was empty and still rushed. Techs and nurses were good but the doctor brushed off their opinions. Hardly checked my child for sinus infection and looked quickly in her mouth and ear and moved so fast she knocked her in the face. Didn’t even check her nose or consider her symptoms. Glad this isn’t my normal peds office. Daughter still sick a week later. We are looking forward to some actual care at our regular peds. Honestly next time I’d rather go to the ER and pay the money.

I’m a doc. But don’t like treating my own. When my little guy got wheezy and was looking rough I knew he needed to be seen. I called to verify the Advocare office records would be available and when we arrived we were met with the most friendly and capable staff. Was seen right away by amazing reception, techs , nurses and a real pediatrician. My son was comfortable and had everything he needed in a timely fashion and in the morning our advocare pediatrician called us and had the record of our visit and was up to date. A truly seamless event. Highly recommended by an ER doc. Can’t get better than that.

We had a terrible experience for my 2 1/2 year old, I will never return. There was no wait when we arrived, which was great, except, the physician misdiagnosed my daughter, which is much more important! Despite my daughter vomiting non-stop in front of the doctor, with no fever, she was ordered for antibiotics for a UTI (orally) (with no urine sample) and her abdominal pains were essentially ignored. Even though I continued to express my concerns for the diagnosis, treatment plan and her symptoms, I was dismissed with the doctor telling me to go home and give her a warm bath and then she should settle down, then to start antibiotics in the morning. I even asked several times if I should just go to the ER and my concerns were undermined entirely.Thankfully I listened to my instinct as a mom and a healthcare professional and went right to the CHOP ER, where she was diagnosed with a small bowel obstruction, which is extremely dangerous if left untreated. The CHOP ER physicians were suspicious within minutes of the report of symptoms, unlike the physician at urgent care. This outcome could have been catastrophic if I did not take her for additional evaluation. This should be a humbling experience for this very young physician. And the nurse did not introduce himself or his role at all either. I had to ask him who he was after he called my daughter sweetheart and began asking questions. This experience overall was alarming and terrifying. The general public trust that a pediatrician is meticulous and thorough when prescribing treatment. I will never recommend this urgent care.

_______Updating my previous review. I attempted to reach out to AP Urgent care after my initial complaint and did not initially receive a response. I was finally contacted by an AnnMarie. I informed her of the issue regarding Dr. Calvo ignoring the information we provided regarding our son and her further ignoring our refusal for an ambulance. She indicated that she would look into, among other things, refusal of service and get back to me. She did follow up and informed me that she had spoken with the Dr. Calvo and EMS and provided their responses. She stated that it was not enough to inform Dr. Calvo that we did not want ambulance service (again, there was no emergency); we had to refuse service once EMS arrived and fill out a form. I asked why Dr. Calvo had not informed us of that. AnnMarie avoided directly answering the question. I told her that we had intended to just walk out but were afraid the doctor would call child services; she did not dispute my concern. I subsequently asked her to put her response in writing as my husband and I are not familiar with the health system and some of the terminology and just wanted to fully understand what happened and with whom she spoke. AnnMarie responded with a brief statement basically stating that it was not their problem and we had to fight the bill ourselves. She avoided providing any actual information that we requested and made sure to throw in a disclaimer to cover herself and Dr. Calvo: we are looking out for the children.I beg to differ. Not only did Dr. Calvo not listen to us regarding our child, she never provided us with discharge papers which would have provided us with information regarding the nurses and doctors who attended to our son, the drugs administered to our son and her notes as to a diagnosis. When posed with questions about their procedures and policy, the responses were vague and dismissive. They made sure they provided no actual assistance. This is not behavior I would deem as looking out for children. Again, we cannot help but feel that this was not only a cash grab but an attempt to cover Dr. Calvos incompetence. The end result, a $2,000 bill for unecessary services.Unfortunately, we were uncertain of our rights in a situation like this. Most families are struggling to make ends meet; It is bad enough with the absurd rising cost of healthcare but when a doctor goes out of their way to recommend unnecessary treatment and then act as if its not their problem, it is unconscionable. I would not recommend taking your child to this place.

Did not know this place existed and I’m so glad I do now. Our 5 month old had nasty croup and we couldn’t get a dr appointment and we were sent here. Not realizing how long we would be there (we received both treatment and extensive monitoring) my husband and I also brought our toddler. Everyone was so nice and helpful, and our nurse Nikole went out of her way to chat with the toddler and bring him an iPad. I was terrified when we got there, and both the dr and our nurse were very comforting and provided thorough and effective treatment and kept our baby there to monitor him. We were able to avoid the ER. We were promised that we wouldn’t be sent back home if he wasn’t ok and I felt confident that was the case. Very grateful to have found this place.

When my son fell down the steps, I was concerned that something was wrong with him other than your typical bump on the head. When I called Advocare Urgent Care, I was urged to bring him in. I was greeted by the friendly front desk staff, and was quickly brought into an examination room. The nurse on duty was very sweet with my 4 year old and explained everything she was doing to check his vitals so that he thought it was a fun game they were playing. The doctor on duty was both professional and genuine- she expressed her concerns in clear, regular people language and was quick to order x-rays for my son. The xray tecnhician was AMAZING... my son was scared of getting an x-ray and she was so kind, gentle, friendly, and soothing. She kept him comfortable, engaged him in fun conversation, and used so many encouraging words that he felt so special and brave. The doctor on duty immediatley read his xrays and share with us that he had a broken collarbone. Again, she explained everything that I needed to do in a clear and precise way, and I left there without any questions or uncertainties about how to proceed with my son.At the end of our visit, the xray technician printed out a picture of my sons skeleton that he is so proud of. He hung it on the fridge and cant wait to share it with his friends at school. This little detail took the staff 3 seconds to do for him, but it meant the world to him. These people are truly here for the kids, and their families. My son and I showed up scared, but left with a sense that we were treated by family. I am so grateful to everyone who help our family. We drove all the way from Williamstown to receive this excellent care, and will do it again if we ever need quick, dependable, and reliable healthcare. Thank you to everyone at Advocare Urgent Care for taking such wonderful care of us.

The worse facility to bring your child sick. My grandson was sick coughing and throwing up. The front desk staff Ann Marie gave us a hard time, because I was not the mother. My grandson was delayed from seeing the doctor until the mother had to leave work to come here at the facility. Careless, very unprofessional, putting children life in danger.

So Frustrating.. just because the name is associated with your normal pediatrician doesnt mean they accept your insurance.
