3 days...my father was in there for 3 days. If he hadnt been put on a ground floor we wouldnt have known he wasnt ok. We couldnt see him because of covid, he cant talk because his tongue was removed. They werent answering calls. When my Aunt went up what she saw from the window was a horror scene. It was a Friday and their plan was to wait until Monday to seek care...he would have died in their care.

I came to AristaCare for therapy in order to be safe to go back to my home. All the physical therapists were helpful and helped me with my needs. My therapist Nadia always took the time to work with me to get better movement with my arm. The speech therapist Nicole helped me with exercises to improve my cognition and memory. I would recommend AristaCare to anyone for their therapy programs and kind staff all around.

When I had fallen at home I needed assistance after my hospitalization. I chose to come to AristaCare at Cherry Hill for their therapy services. I have met many people since I’ve been here and I am very happy about that since my life has been established mostly on relationships. There are so many people that have been able to help me here. One of my favorites was Sierra, one of the CNAs, she has been a doll and helped me in so many ways. Therapy has been very helpful here and has truly increased my strength significantly from how weak I was since leaving the hospital. They have some wonderful people in Therapy. Sam has done so much for me helping me in the past two months with transportation. I would recommend AristaCare highly to anyone that needs therapy and would certainly return for a visit if I ever needed it again.

Planting flowers is not a physical therapy. Don’t hide tell the truth n honesty with patients family. Document incidents n change no here say. Remember family members talk to other patients family n we hear horror stories of ur care. Most people say this is the worst place to have a family member and I as a wife agree 💯 percent. Your facility needs update in care n humanity .

This is not a facility you want your loved one to be at. Firstly, it is the filthiest place I have ever seen in my life, not only this but the care and compassion is at a zero level. I sat with my family member for over six hours and not one time did anyone come to check on him. He was unable to feed himself or walk and they allowed him to starve. They abused him with verbal profanity and punches to his body when he wasnt able to accomplish a task. He was itching from the scalp of his head, face, hair, from unclean bedding. When asked about receiving benadryl they said an order first had to be made by a physician which he never received the entire day. This facility need to be shut dow! The staff cover up for one another when mistreating patients and unfortunately they are all African Americans with this behavior. Beware of this facility! If you want your loved ones to live.afternoonnight. T

I have found that the staff is very accommodating. They take very good care of your needs. They’re the most courteous people I have been with in the medical facilities I have attended. Id like to send a special thank you to Kish, Kalif, Kelly and Alex. The therapy team did an excellent job getting me back to where I was prior to hospitalization. My main nurse was Trina she was fantastic!

Understand that placing your loved one in a nursing home is a difficult decision that comes with all types of emotions, fear, etc. That is the position that my family and I are in. Aristacare is compassionate beyond words. Kelly in Admissions was the best friend that I needed in this situation. She is caring and concerned. She listened and showed empathy when I needed it. Kelly took the time to contact resources on my behalf to get additional information for me. I was not able to see my mother for mothers day, so instead I had flowers delivered. It was Kelly reaching out to not only wish me a happy mothers day, but to also find out delivery information to ensure I could face time with my mother when she received the flowers. Everything that Kelly has done for me and my family put my mind at ease that Aristacare is the absolute right place for my mother to be. I know that she is with staff that is concerned about her, her well-being as well as her family.

My father had to spend his birthday while at the facility and due to Covid-19 my family couldnt visit. However, Kelly, the admissions director made it possible for us to see my father by using the Duo app and we were even able to have his favorite fast food, Popeyes delivered. Kelly was very kind and possessed just the right amount of energy to make the us feel reassured our loved one would be cared for properly.

I wanted to share my experience with Aristacare in 2/2021. This was my first experience dealing with a parent during an extended stay in a rehab/nursing center. The Covid-19 pandemic only exasperated a tough situation. My mom was in for almost three weeks. My expereince was very positive. Not being able to visit during the pandemic absolutely increased the stress created by a situation like this. The one person who I really wanted to recognize was Alex. Alex was the social worker at AristaCare. I can only imagine that I was just one of many calling regularly trying to get updates on loved ones. She was absolutely amazing. She always made time for me and listened to any concerns or questions. And I always had a lot. The case load for Alex during this pandemic must have been full, but she never showed any stress and had a very calming way about her. Aristcare and the healthcare industry is very lucky to have Alex.I was able to talk and text with my Mom and I was constantly asking her about how things were going there and how she was being treated. I never heard a serious complaint and she was alwasys complimenting the staff on how they were looking after her. My mom was tested 5x for Covid and I was contacted directly when a case was reported. My mom could barely walk when she arrrived at AristaCare. She was only able to go 10 with a walker or quad cane. She was able to go over 100 when she was released and am happy to say that as of this note she is able to use just the quad cane or even small walks unassisted so she can gain confidence and balance.I was sorry to read some of the negative reviews. These must all be taken with the pandemic in mind. Not being able to vist did make things difficult, but this was only to protect the persons inside. These social warriors are in the front lines of a deadly pandemic and they are taking care of the loved ones that we care about. The healthcare industry is place that takes a special person. Not everyone can have the compassion and empathy required for these roles.Unfortunately so many of the people were just voices on the phone and I never got to really thank the staff and everyone at AristCare for taking care of my mom during Covid-19.

I am very disspointed at this place. A family memeber is living at this place at the moment. For example, few weeks ago I had told a staff memeber to let me to speak to a supervisor because she (the staff) hang up on me when I try to contact my mother. I had drop her clothes off and nobody still have not given her clothes yet and it been 2 months. I understand their are rules that apply over their but noboy never pick up call, and when they do you can be on the phone for hours or a person just hang up out of no where. I have no medical update on her health situation when they told me they will call right back. I am very irritated.

Firstly, this place is in disrespair. There is an obvious smell of mold, and there are several areas where water appeared to be leaking. In general it is shabby and has the feeling of a gross old hotel. Given that is summer time, you think they would have working air conditioners. The day room is so hot they eventually had to remove the residents to another room. Nurses aides are found on their phones ignoring the residents, if they are found at all. If you are demented and can’t speak, you generally will be ignored and not changed nearly enough. Nothing at alll is done for you on the weekends. If you go there for rehab, expect is only a few times a week and briefly, and other than that they will simply be ill equipped to facilitate any type of movement with you. Find a better place than this!!! UPDATE: my father died 8 days after coming home from this place.

Their room cleaning people are thieves. My mom had valuables thrown away simply because they were in clear plastic bags. That and she had clothes stolen too. That I as her son paid for!! The ONLY saving graces are that some staff are nice & the foods pretty good. Other than that? Dont bring your relatives here, not even for short-term rehab.

When we first walked in the lack of upkeep was extremely evident. When we got into her room the bed was broken and had no rails. Mom is a severe fall risk after suffering a major hip fracture. I was told she didn’t need rails Staff seemed very annoyed when I demanded rails and a properly working bed. The ‘nurse’ said if I wanted this stuff I had to talk to Sharon the administrator. Met her and was not this impressed. She apologized for the multiple errors made by staff and that the bed would be ready. We all know they had ample time to prepare for her arrival. This place is deplorable. Filthy. Needing someone to paint clean and take care of. When the maintenance man was asked to fix things on the bed it was definitely a challenge. He could not fix the bed so another bed had to be brought in It came it but the other one got stuck going out. I can tell you that I’ve been the phone trying to get her outta here. I cannot leave my mother hereAltho the staff seemed to be nice agreeing that mom needs the items requested I still feel it’s not the right place. Her temp roommate is delusional and aggressive. She is a resident. Staff seemed to be worried what she will do???? Not sure how the bile is not spewing from my mouth. It is hanging out in my throatPlease be aware of this place. I read raving reviews and if you could feel the panic when I saw this place. I wonder if the reviews were fake. Cuz they sure don’t fit this place! I’m begging another rehab to take her. Pray it happens soon

Appalled at this facility. I don’t understand how it’s open and operating. This place is a dump! My mother is a fall risk stroke patient. For starters her bed was broken, her bathroom sink halfway off the wall with globs of caulk on the edges as if they tried to fix it themselves. Roof with leak stains, tray table lopsided where my mother couldn’t keep her meal without it sliding off. I checked her in and checked her right out the next day. She still hadn’t been seen. She is a diabetic, hypertension and cholesterol patient who was there for her newly diagnosed diabetic neuropathy. Her dinner was a meatball sub loaded with cheese😳 I can go on forever. Just stay away. Horrible facility. I’m sure that the owners are billing Medicaid handsomely.

This facility needs to be seriously reviewed and changes made. I feel sorry for the patients that are in long term care. The communication between staff and assiocates is poor. The supervisor showed no control over the staff. Bed not changed from shift to shift, bathroom not cleaned, food cold, loud chatter between staff in the halls, not work related. I can go on and on about the conditions the patients are living under. The only good report is the Therapy Staff. They showed concerned of the well being of their patients. We were warned about this place. We should have listened.

Aristocare for being a nursing home is 5 star to me if you’ve had first hand experience at a facility as this or similar. The aides are mostly pleasant, the nurses and doctors have been to visit their patients more than a typical home from what I witness. They seem to be there in the rooms quite often. Wound care is good too. The physical therapist’s actually work their patience as long as the patients are willing and most are. The food is your typical facility food. So far I have t had any issues with my family member and he seems happy. He’s sent out to the ER ASAP as soon as it seems necessary and they’ve been spot on when they do send him out. Both times were for a UTI and that’s can be very serious if not treated immediately for someone bed ridden. Mentioning bed ridden. If you’re not. I’d say Aristacare cherryhill is better for you guys. You can go outside and socialize with the other patience or sometimes staff is enjoying some fresh air or you can even see the birds, squirrels and bunnies hanging out in the court yard. So all and all I like it. I wish my family member could stay with me, but 24/7 care is too hard with medical needs and trying to be there for someone as needed and run an entire house. Someone will be neglected over time sadly. If you want the best care for your family member. Do yourself a favor and visit frequently, because it lets staff know you care and it helps them to care more as well. Visit a minimum of twice a week. Even if it’s a short stay. I try to do 2 x’s a half hour on weeknights and an hour to four on weekends. It really helps the patient as well as staff. It gives staff a small break while you visit and it lets your family member know you care. It really lifts everyone’s spirit including yours. Bring your family member food if they’re allowed, because that always brings a smile. I also stop and grab a snack for my families roommate from the shared room and that person appreciates, because everyone there can’t drive and never see real food or a little good old fashion junk food. Like a pizza on a Friday night. I hope you find this review helpful and can visit your family member and bring some of the young kids u the family too. It helps everyone’s spirit there.

My name is Donna and I am the daughter (care-taker) for my father who has been at Aristacare at Cherry Hill first as a “rehab” patient in the sub-acute area and now as a fulltime LTC resident. I wanted to write to you to let you know of the wonderful experience that me, my family and my father have all had since his first day there:My husband and I had visited one other LTC where we had to make an appointment to do a tour. The tour actually seemed like they had prepped many things prior to our visit in order to look good. I decided to look by myself at Aristacare and just showed up one afternoon on my way home from work. I was immediately introduced to Israel who was kind enough to take me on a thorough tour and answered all of my questions, and he even gave me information on the LTC that we were not sure we were considering at the time. Israel took the extra time to listen to me go on about my father’s previous injuries/medical issues and gave me great comfort. I noticed that there was always someone from housekeeping on both sides of the floor who were doing something, and right then and there I knew that this was the place for my father!During his stay in the sub-acute care side, we met many of the caregivers, from nurses to housekeeping and I must say that each and every one was warm and caring not only to my father, but to me and my family. Once dad was moved to the LTC side in April he needed to adjust to all of the what he called “new people” on that side of the floor. He missed everyone that took care of him on the other side, but quickly warmed up to his new people. Below is a list of people who have stood out (and continue to) who not only take care of dad, but have also assisted me in the long and difficult process of placing him. There are many more, but I do not know everybody’s name:Abdul – LaundryCare givers: TY and Christine – from day 1CarmenRoger, dad’s night aideArman – RNAll of the Rehab peopleVanessa, Valerie and Daniel – activities – special call out to Ms. Valerie who was the first person to get dad into having lunch in the dining room each day and involved in the activities as well. Also to Ms. Vanessa who has worked with me in getting a plan together for dad some one on one activities (dad likes to paint and color).Israel – Each time I see Israel he has a warm smile for me and dad. He is never too busy to take a moment to talk with dad almost every day.Sarah - Social Worker – Sarah has been a big help in getting dad settled in from day 1 and always has time for a question.Kelsey – Kelsey is my “shining star”. She has worked with me from day 1, but was my right arm when I was going through the Medicaid process. She always had time to answer any and all questions that I had regarding the process and we worked very closely in getting my dad’s application processed in what I have been told was “an extremely quick application processing time”. Normally this process is 3-4 months long, but dad’s approval came within approximately 5 weeks. In summary, you and all of Corporate have a lot to be proud!

Taking a dinner break will put you behind your 4 AND 3 hour long med passes. Now I know why they have a difficult time keeping permanent staff. Very supportive administration and management.

Great CNAs. The ladies and gents are overworked and underpayed. They have a high employee turnover, which is why there are sometimes only 4-6 cnas on a floor, which leaves cnas with 15-20 patients. Because of this many residents arent able to use the bathroom when they need to, which causes problems in the activities department. Cna injuries happen due to the excessive work they are required to do. Families are often lied to. Residents clothes & food goes missing. The place is messy, and they only maintain the first level to impress guests. The food is disgraceful, even for patients with dementia. Recreation department workers are not often able to do their jobs to their best ability. Diapers & cleansing tools are often understocked. Staff is very nice and welcoming overall, but not given proper help to be able to perform.
