My husband went to Atrium Health Steele Creek Emergency Department Sunday evening for emergency assistance due to an unexpected cut on his right index finger. He was taken care right away. Nurse did initial diagnosis on the wound area, and the doctor put stitches within few minutes to close the cut and stopped the bleeding. They also provided clear instruction on how to care at home and when to see the doctor to remove the stitches. We are very pleased by the world class service they provided with precision and perfection and truly appreciated their help on this one.

When I visit this ER I am always treated with respect and professionally by all members of the staff. In most cases I am brought into treatment shortly after admitting and I am given treatment soon after by the doctor / PA / or nurse. They always provide excellent service and tell me what’s going on and what I need to do next.Definitely my preferred place for medical treatment.

We arrived at 7pm with a 30 minute wait time listed online. The appointment desk stated those times are not accurate. We saw very few people in the waiting area, by 2 am we had still not seen a doctor. The nurse stated they saw people who could be moved quickly first. I would not recommend this facility. The front desk personnel were rude and unhelpful.

3 experiences with this hospital. All 3 were aweful! They try to treat you as quickly as possible to get you out the door. Even if its misdiagnosing you or just sending you home with pain med to get you through the night till you can follow up with an actual doctor. Will by driving the extra few miles to go some where go get actual care from now on!

The front desk staff and nurses were very nice but the doctor I saw was dreadful. I believe her name was Dr. Percy. She did not care about my needs at all and acted like I was in the wrong for even being there. It was a total waste of four hours. This is the second time I’ve left the ER with no actual results. Please go any where else.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I spent over 4 hours there with chest pain and spent most of it in a sub waiting room. When taken to a room I was put on a stretcher in a hallway where I saw a provider for less than 5 minutes and being charged thousands of $$$ because of the level of care. Will not use atrium again.

Don’t ever go to this ER. The doctor will look up your past personal history and determine your care. The male nurse will stare you down as you change into a gown. And the medical director could care less that your ER report is false. They don’t care if you are in pain. So if you have been to any personal drs in the past the ER doctor will tell you that you are delusional and you really don’t have any pain. The best ER to go to is in Tega Cay. It’s the Piedmont ER. They don’t sit there reading your past information to determine what is wrong with you and lie to your face like the ER dr did at this awful place. They just want your money. So if you have a female Dr at this dam place, go somewhere else!!!

I spent over 4 hours in an ER room on 6/29/21 after being triaged. I asked for a pillow and an hour later did not have a pillow. From 11 am to 3 pm they never offered me anything to eat or drink, nope not even water. I had one flimsy blanket. Long periods of time went by when no one eve came in the room (I could have been dead). Seems like over 3 hours if a long time to get lab results. It seems that once they triaged you that dropped you like a hot potato. The level of care for the patients was no there. I realize with COVID 19 our healthcare works are worn out, stressed and beyond their normal capacity but shouldnt you care about people if this is your profession?Next time I need to go to the ER I will go to CMC South or whatever it is called these days.

After looking at reviews of all the hospitals near me, I chose to go to Atrium in Steele Creek. It was very clean, everyone was friendly, and the service was as fast as you can expect at a hospital. The check-out took quite a bit of time once I was done, but that is the nature of an emergency room. Once you are all better, there are just more important things to tend to than discharge paperwork. This will definitely be where I go next time it is needed.

NO ONE would give me an update on him. Im his wife. In what world is it illegal to tell me the status of my husband?! My husband is in and out of consciousness so its not like he can let me know how hes doing. He told them I was coming and authorized them to give me information. They still wouldnt tell me anything. Never in my life have I’ve been treated so terribly by an Atrium staff member until I visited the Steele Creek location. I went to the emergency room on Sunday and was basically told I may be having a miscarriage and was told to come back on Tuesday, we’ll I came back on this day and was told to go to room 130. As soon as I walked up I was greeted rudely by one of the OBGYN’s who asked if I had an appointment (in which I was not informed that I needed one) I answered yes and handed her the paper and she rudely replied that I needed an appointment and that I could not be seen and shut the door right in my face. My mom works for Atrium in Pineville NC and I usually go there but I was scared for my baby and went to the closest Emergency center and this had to be the worst place ever! Extremely disappointed in the service I received recently at this location. I took my 6m old son in because he cough was horrible and was making him gag/choke. After waiting for a while in the waiting room, we were taken back to have a chest x-ray done. The ladies in this department were really great. They were quick but diligent in their efforts. Once the x-ray was completed, we went back to the waiting room for a little while. We were then escorted to a private room, where we were able to lay down and wait for the doctor. We waited for hours for the doctor to come in and do what felt like a minimal evaluation. She checked his ear and said its red and that is to be expected with the viral infection that was noticed on the xray. She asked if I wanted him to be tested for a few of the viral infections and I said yes. The nurse tested him for RSV, COVID and the flu after the doctor came. At this point we had been there for 5 hours. After waiting for almost another 30-45 minutes for the results, she came in and said the test results needed to be run again but that we could go home and they would call us with the results that morning. They called at 7pm. We took him to his primary doctor today (the soonest we could get him in) and he tested positive for RSV, has an ear infection and has bronchiolitis. I am not one to leave reviews because I know how much they can impact a company, but I will say, this was by far one of the worst experiences. I will not take him back.

I brought my 16 yr in for suicidal thoughts. It started out fine at the ER. Then they start in with their policies of no one can have any electronics in the room, but I was trying to keep family updated. Then they tell me I cant stay with her. I get it when she is actually admitted but I couldnt stay the night with her in the ER. Shes a minor! Then when I call to check on her, granted this was after I told God couldnt save them if anything happened to her, they said she wanted no phone calls or visitors. I know my kid & she would never say that!! So tonight Im sleeping in the parking lot. Something isnt right & they wont let me in to see her.

The physician was great! The man that transported us was very nice. However, the triage nurse(?) and our room nurse were some calloused, bitter individuals. I don’t remember the triage nurse’s name but she completely ignored me when I told her that my daughter was probably dehydrated. Due to using too large of a needle for the IV/blood draw, my daughter had to be stuck twice. Before the second stick, again I told her that I thought my daughter was probably dehydrated making the vein hard to get. She still did not even acknowledge me but verbally said to my daughter that she was going use a smaller one this time. If she had of listened to start with maybe only one stick would have been necessary. Not even acknowledging me was not only rude, it shows lack of value to me and my concern as a mother. Then there’s our room nurse. She was rude and lacked compassion. She was in a hurry. My daughter had trouble speaking due to dehydration arising from a tonsillectomy. She left the room so quickly after telling my daughter to give a urine specimen that she had no time to tell the nurse that she was going to vomit. The nurse was in and out. My daughter threw up in the sink barely able to stand...heaving. She could hardly walk because weakness due to dehydration but was never offered help or a wheelchair to the restroom. My daughter was denied water on grounds that the physician needed to be consulted. Fine, but the physician was never consulted. Then she was denied even a cup to rinse her mouth out after vomiting. I was upset and wanted to know why she couldn’t have water to rinse the bile out of her raw throat. The “nurse” said she could ask the doctor or give my daughter her meds. Umm...Why couldn’t she do both. She could have kindly said let me give her the meds as ordered by the physician and I will go ask. If an RN cannot make the call to let someone rinse out their mouth and not swallow, without a physician’s order...maybe she’s not competent. She accused me of yelling. Yes, my voice was raised out of concern but I was not yelling and never belligerent. A security guard was standing at the desk and heard the whole thing. I’m sure he has dealt with profane and irate individuals. I was neither. A complaint was made to the charge nurse and she was informed by the “nurse”of whatever she decided to tell the charge, making the charge nurse bias. Also, the “nurse” remained in the room while I spoke with the charge. I find it funny that they were able to bring in a cup of water during our conversation. Gee..You ask for the charge nurse and you magically get water. Not to rinse but to drink! Maybe night these nurses can treat people as they please and can get away with more. Nursing use to be a calling. Now it is literally for $35+ an hour, not compassion and concern. CMC or Carolina Healthcare used to be a standard for other healthcare systems to strive to be like. One knew they were going to be taken care of physically, mentally and emotionally. I no longer feel this way. Some of Atrium’s nurses could use some continuing education on compassion, courtesy and hospitality with patients and their family during a medical stay. Although, I’m not sure that is something that can be taught because it is a heart issue. I will not be recommending Steele Creek to anyone. I myself and family will not be returning to this location. I’m not sure about the other Atrium facilities because if they allow these types of individuals to “tend” to their patients here, who’s to say it’s any different at any of their other locations. I took a picture of the whiteboard with my daughters’s care team. Great physician! Rude and uncaring nurses!

Went into this facility of an hospital with intentions of coming out with a smile. My 2 yr old had a high fever. Went to check in quickly and called to the back quickly. After vitals, all else slowed down drastically. This hospital need more passionate nurses and doctors that have sense to say to any patient that we do thank you for being patient, we will be momentarily with maybe a certain time just assisting that many patients every 25 mins to 35 mins or so. Nobody does that at all, not even after an hour passes. Just who comes will come as long as we get paid all this money you and the insurance is has was all I made it out to be. My husband and I with my daughter said forget the discharge paperwork bc one nurse was like I will get your papers but she didn’t instead she went elsewhere while the other one laughing in there area about non work related with other coworkers. Unprofessional. Need more done with this practice and be more compassionate. 🤷🏾‍♀️Never again.

My mom got up and walked out because no one came into see her outside of the CT they did after I complained... I then spend the next few hours trying to talk her into going to another hospital...We ended up at Pineville and they took her right in and she is suffering with a very sever case of temporal anteritis. Glad it was not a aneurysm. Its not the waiting so much as the lack of customer care and compassion. NO ONE CAME IN TO MAKE SURE SHE WAS STILL ALIVE OR IF SHE NEEDED ANYTHING. 🤬 I work in the healthcare profession...compassion is key...and you lack THAT!

The doctor was nice, however I received a bill and I pay my bills. that is not an issue, but I was extremely overcharged for a visit. I was charged 3000 for a facility visit. I walked in they took my blood pressure, xrayed my shoulder $400 for that. Sat on the bed waited for the dr. He came in spoke to me for less than 10 mins., you drove yourself I cant give you anything, but I can call in an RX for the AM. He never touched me. He apologized for being late and making me wait. That is not a 3000.00 visit and I did not take up 3000.00 of the facilitys time. I used to go here all the time if needed with my grand daughter. I could not believe this and I tried to dispute the level of charge and they will not even discuss it. The xray charge was seperate and I have a bill from an outside source that had to read the xray. So you tell me how is that a 3k visit. DO NOT GO THERE if you can help it.

Upon entering the desk staff couldn’t find my son in the computer due to the fact that she misspelled his name 5 separate times, after I spelled it clearly for her each time! We were called to the new triage area where the person checking us in did not sanitize her hands nor use gloves at all, even checking my son’s temperature! Another patient came in, was put in the open area directly beside us, complaining of COVID symptoms, also stating her daughter was positive for it. After I rudely mentioned that it was atrocious they put Covid patients in with the regular patients, she moved. I wasn’t sure where she went until a manager looking person came and told the lady who had been helping us to move us to chairs around the corner: there was the Covid patient right there in the chairs! I refused to be seated next to her, I would rather chance it in the lobby using my own sanitizer to clean the seats before we sat in them! We go on to the lobby after being met with much attitude, our last name was called, the lady then explained quite rudely that she “wasn’t talking to us, must have been someone else with the same name”. We were finally called back for x-rays. The tech seemed to get a little offended when I told her that I would be joining my minor child, instead of waiting in the lobby like she said. Upon entering the x-Ray room, we were met with a pillow laying on the table with a fresh head indention in it. Luckily my son did not have to use that. I am unsure if the items used on my son were clean or not, I presume they probably were not. We sanitized ourselves heavily during and after our visit. We left from there feeling very unclean! Had my son not have needed to go to the ER, we would have continued not going to any medical facilities just as we have for the past year and a half, because just as I suspected, everyone has Covid policies, but their employees are too lazy to abide by them! I am extremely disappointed in Atrium’s execution of Covid policies! It seems the only real policy you have is to not allow visitors in for adult patients, but the front desk staff even picks and chooses that too! We watched some visitors be allowed in, while others were turned away. No one EVER cleans the lobby sitting area, we sat for HOURS and only saw 1 cleaning person in the triage area pushing a broom with a dry fiber cloth, no sanitizer, no cleaners, no nothing! I am extremely disappointed in our entire visit! As the mother of child who can not afford to contract Covid, yet is too young to receive a vaccination, I am appalled! I am praying heavily that we didn’t contract Covid from the filth that is Atrium Steele Creek! The LPN that seen us was the cleanest thing about our entire visit! He sanitized and put fresh gloves on each time he saw us. He was also friendly. We never saw an actual doctor, we never entered the actual emergency room, so I can not comment on doctor care nor ER cleanliness.

I was seen in the Steele Creek ER on 12/1. To start, Id like to say that NP Sherri was fantastic. She seemed to be knowledgable and caring. Unfortunately, Im dealing with chronic health issues and it likely wasnt within her realm of comfort. Thats where my positive feedback ends though. The attending doctor that night.....I never actually saw or spoke to him, which is fine. I realize thats not uncommon in an ER setting. However, I, and I imagine every other patient there, heard quite an earful from him. Just before they released me, he told NP Sherrie Just send her home and tell her to call urology. How is this Our problem? That was actually one of the least offensive comments he made. He also quite loudly proclaimed that he doesnt care about helping people because they dont want help, he just wants to work his hours and go home. Thats not exactly a comforting thing to hear from a doctor. But perhaps the most alarming comment was made during a debate he had over heroin addicts. He made it quite clear that his approach is to prescribe them opoids and get them out of his hospital. He said he cant help them in one visit, they dont want help anyway, and he just wants to give them narcotics and get them out. As a long-term patient of various hospital systems, I can easily say that this was one of the most disturbing ER visits Ive ever experienced. I am appalled that doctors like that exist and are allowed to voice such uncaring words in an open environment within patient hearing. I have had very positive experiences with other Atrium Health facilities and will continue to use them.....just not if that particular doctor is attending.

She just brushed off all concerns and comments since she “already knows what’s going on.” The OBGYN said she needed an ultrasound, which the ER doctor said she didn’t need to do. The lack of care for my wife’s condition and for their own system’s OBGYN is astonishing. They had her sitting for two and 1/2 hours with no one checking on her. They are disorganized and unprofessional. Her nurse literally told my wife that she forgot about my wife for another hour. Also, The facility is also very dated with old equipment. Went to Atrium Steele Creek Emergency Dept on September 10, 2020 to have my 22 yr old autistic son checked after he had run head first into a concrete pole!He was able to walk and seemed fine, but I was not present when the incident happened and felt it was necessary to have him evaluated. We arrived at the ER and we were signed in right away by a very stellar front desk receptionist. We were then taken back for BP, Temp, etc. Afterwards, we were put in a room for at least an hour to wait for a physician to check my son. Now, autism can be tricky... my son was doing great waiting that long, but he ultimately became more and more agitated. I went to the nurses desk where there were at least 5 medical staff members chatting and laughing socially together.I inquired as to how long it would be and one replied she didnt know and would have to go check.I waited in the room 15 more minutes and then walked out. I stopped by the front desk receptionist why I was leaving. She asked me to wait 5 min so she could get the doctor for me.The physician came out to the waiting room and asked if she could look at my son. She apologized and stated they were shorthanded and they had to treat the serious cases first.I took my son back to the room, but unfortunately he was done with the process and started kicking the equipment, biting his hand and screaming... he is 6 and 190lbs! The physician had barely enough time, before his outbreak started, to check him out.Im a dentist... and I think the majority of dentists realize the patience and time it takes to treat special needs individuals before they are done with you! I have always tried to see a special needs patient as soon as possible, even if it meant that I ended up running a bit behind on my schedule. The alternative of having them wait is not usually a good outcome for the patient... and that individual is the most important person in the room!I dont understand why physicians are not trained to understand the same. So, I would never go back there... I know it can be run better and more efficiently. The experience was so much more stressful than it needed to be.Kudos to the physician though, she handled his outbreak quite well and allowed us to leave thru a back door, so he did not have to walk far to get out! Hopefully, she will attend to the her next special needs patient more quickly!I do give a 5 star to the front desk receptionist...

The level of care has been Exceptional. The wait times have ranged from 5 minutes to 30 minutes until they triaged us. The staff is divided between the triage area and actual ER area. This is nice. They also have a sub waiting area if a bed is not available in the ER part. You did not have to go back out in general waiting. The nurses, techs, PA, and MD all very concerned with trying to make you comfortable, understand your complaints, genuinely want to have you better before you leave. Keep in mind, your not always able to complete your care at an ER, and be 100%. ER is to get you stable. Then determine if admission is needed, you can go home, referred for after ER care, etc. Length of time is dependent of your severity of symptoms, what might need to be done to determine level of care needed, and others that are already there, those that come in after you. Just remember that someones level of severity may not be visible to the naked eye.

This place was amazing. I was worried to go in during this pandemic but the moment I walked through thd doors I knew I was in good hands. Everything was so clean and organized. Immediately someone came up to me to get my information and to give me hand sanitizer. They let me sign paperwork via email. The wait to get seen was very short. The nurses and doctors were very attentive. I was probably in and out in under two hours for a head injury. I felt very safe going during this covid pandemic. Thank you to everyone at the hospital for all you do.

Went here for the first time August 2nd and it’s probably the best experience I’ve ever had in an ER. I was given hand sanitizer right when I walked in, the guy at the front desk (who was super handsome btw lol) took my information and was really polite, and I sat down for about 1 minute until I was called. (I know that’s not always going to happen tho!) The nurses and doctor we’re so kind and definitely made me feel like they cared. And with everything going on, I’m sure they have faced ALOT more than usual. I definitely had to make sure and give them their credit. Highly recommend this ER and I hope everyone can experience what I did♥️

I hate to tell you this but there is no HIPAA law that says you cant tell me, if the waiting room is packed or not..I mean some of us are trying to say stay safe. Especially during this virus outbreak.. So please enlighten this idiot..

I am truly grateful for the service that I received here. The doctor went above and beyond for my care. Thank you very much nurses & doctors for your care.

Do not come here! Misdiagnosed me, made me get worse and ended up in the doctors again the next day. Doctors dont listen to you and just send you on their way. When I tried to talk to customer care over the phone they told me that they did the best they could and that they know best. No help, no concern, just charge me thousands of dollars for NOTHING! Do not come here!

What a great, clean, professional facility. From the moment we checked in, to the nurse, and finally the Doctor. I am happy I chose to come here even with some bad reviews. Thank you!!

I had a really good experience here. We got there around 6 am and were admitted immediately. The intake process wasnt too bad either. The doctors came quickly and they helped to resolve issues quickly. They also didnt make you stay longer than necessary. Once the issue was resolved they had you check out.I would recommend this ER to others.

I wanted to take the time to leave a review for Steel Creek OBGYN, specifically Courtney Moynihan, MD. My experience with this office has always been good. The front desk staff is welcoming & friendly always ready to answer any questions. Phone staff is very helpful and caring.I recently had my twins delivered by Dr. Moynihan. She was absolutely amazing! She was very comfortable and confident, our baby B was breech but her confidence put us at peace with our delivery choices. She went above and beyond to accommodate us & made my birthing experience so easy and exactly what I had imagined.Thank you Dr. Courtney Moynihan! You are a beautiful person and an amazing doctor! We are beyond happy with our experience!

They were great when not busy. However, the busy visit was absolutely awful. The longest wait weve ever experienced in any office anywhere (and weve had many ER visits). They shouldnt tell you that theyre just waiting for a bed to open to finish your appt up and then have you wait for hoursss on end. Other new patients came in and were seen and left. I know customer service clearly doesnt matter, but there has to be a better way to do this. So many other hospitals & doctors offices have it figured out.

LIARS. At this hospital the staff is trained to LIE. I do not trust the doctors or nurses here because the support staff LIES so what would lead me to believe the doctors and nurses arent also LYING?! They will tell you they just want to take some blood but in fact they are taking you to get an IV. Once you have an IV you are not allowed to go back to the lobby. Instead they force you to sit in a so called Patients Lobby and sit with other strangers who are also getting IVs. The worst part? They tell your husband/wife/loved one that came with you that you will be RIGHT BACK and LIE. They LIE and say there is NO SPACE for them to go with you when they say theyre going to take bloodI got to the point where I just said no, unless my husband was allowed to go with me. They calm there was no room because although they were going to put an IV in they in fact DID NOT have a room ready for me. I said I will wait until they actually are ready with a room. (They are trying to force people into treatment when they are not actually prepared for them.) After I told them I would wait they LIED again and said it would save half an hour of my wait if I agreed to go now. No. I waited another 2 hours in the lobby before a room was ready. This hospital is full of LIARS. Avoid if possible!!

If I could give a negative star rating I would. I have endometriosis and I get ovarian cysts easily I went in late at night for severe pelvic pain no one else in the waiting room with me I got taken back to triage had my blood pressure and temp taken by a rude nurse that didn’t seem to really care was taken back to a room and told to undress and that I would be seen shortly waited 4 hours without even seeing a nurse or a doctor finally walked out to the nurses station to ask when I would be seen and was told I hadn’t been assigned to a doctor yet. I went back to my room waited and additional hour and finally got dressed and walked out no one even noticed absolute worst ER the time management is nonexistent and the staff has the worst attitudes and even worse bedside manner it’s maybe a 10 min drive but from now own I’ll take my family the extra 20min down the road.

We took our son here previously and the doctors and staff were friendly, fast and courteous. I went for myself last night when I was having a lot of pain in my lower abdomen. Everyone from receptionist to doctor was nice, efficient and helpful. Leui, the PA, astounded me when she put in an IV on the first try. I have rolling veins that are small and kind of fork off. Typically it takes at least two times and a lot of moving the needle around before the professionals are able to get an IV. It’s typically painful but leui didn’t hurt me at all. She did a great job. Doctor Ryan was so nice and she seemed to genuinely care. Everyone here is wonderful and I will be going back to this ER for future emergencies. Highly recommend.

Been here 3 hours with nothing said to me and I finally walked to the desk and spoke with Laura ... I asked her who do I speak with to opt out because I’d been there to long... she asked for my name and looked me up and told me I actually was already done and I was shocked because I hadn’t heard anything... I told her I was waiting on a pelvic exam and she stopped what she was doing to take care of me. I couldn’t even be mad anymore with the hours I had been there. Anybody that stops what their doing to take care of a patient is a keeper !!!!!! If we had more like her I would have gave this er a 5 star. I wish I knew her last name but if it helps she had a baby bump ;)Hope that helps because I definitely would like to see more of her .....

Within 45 minutes I was diagnosed after ct scan and blood tests.I had multiple blood clots and my status went to critical condition. ER doctor wanted to transfer me by ambulance to Pineville Hospital which I had to decline. Told them I was a care giver to spouse. Had to go home, to get spouse and take her with me to Pineville hospital ER. That was a big misstate on my part. Not only did I show up 30 minutes early as requested, but the receptionist processing my paperwork tried to collect a $50 copay for my WELLNESS APPOINTMENT on my high deductible insurance plan. After telling her this was an annual wellness appointment, she then said something along the lines of, yeah, well, okay, Im just letting you know for next time. Then, I sit and wait. Its about 11:15 and my appointment was scheduled for 11:30, and everyone that checked in after me was already called back from the waiting room. At about 11:43, the receptionist came over to me to tell me my doctor was running behind, all her rooms were full, and it would probably be a little while because they were short staffed on nurses. Because I was on my lunch break from work and didnt know how long a little while could be, I went back up to the receptionist to inquire about rescheduling, if it really would be that much longer. As we were chatting, a nurse called me back. I went over and asked the nurse, once back there how long the wait would be for the doctor. The nurse told me it would be about another 40 minute wait. I told her that I was speaking to the receptionist about potentially rescheduling because I had already been gone from work for awhile (at this point, its noon). The nurse took me back and said we could look at the calendar while in the room. Once in there, I told the nurse, now that Im back here, let me just check in with my boss so they know this will take longer than expected. The nurse then stated, oh, its too late. I already cancelled your appointment.Long story short, I drove all that way, showed up early, waited, got back in the doctors office, just for them to cancel my appointment and tell me, its too late, they can no longer take my appointment today?! I was furious; and, I dont get mad - hence the reason I felt compelled to leave this review.

ABSOLUTELY NO STARSI have never encountered a facility so unprofessional, this is the last place I would EVER trust. The nurses are rude, uneducated and it’s honestly embarrassing how they go about things. I brought my ONE year old daughter in after taking a pretty hard fall at daycare that left a golf ball size knot to her head, the triage nurse didn’t take her temperature weigh her or even ask what happened, I waited 3.5 hours to be seen. I had to open the curtain to see every “nurse/doctor” hang around the nurses station laughing joking around while I’m trying to keep my one year old awake to make sure she has no concussion. I pulled aside a random nurse to ask her what is going on for her to roll her eyes and tell me no doctor has been assigned my daughters file. Great job Steele Creek you make it known how serious you take properly training your staff!

If I could give zero starts I would. I came in with a sore throat & abdomen pain that I’ve been bothered with the past two days. Being that I’ve had an ulcer before i “thought” that would be serious enough to be seen promptly. WRONG!! I was told by Marsha that they see patients based on “injury” so I’ve sat here two hours watched two people come in after me get seen before me who looked perfectly fine ! The staff here has gone down hill the past few years. Just a bunch of young people standing around discussing patients business OUT LOUD. Thank god I didn’t have anything I didn’t want anyone else to know wrong with me because the whole hospital would have known. Wish I could of given 0 stars. I wouldnt recommend this place to an animal. The nurses here just work for a pay check and their attitude is very unprofessional. They pay more attention to their phones than their patients. If you can go to another ER please do because the staff they hire to treat you wont have your best interest at heart!! You would think the charged nurse would be the best but the ones working here doesnt know anything about compassion for a special need child nor how to handle them. They look at them like animals and treat them accordingly even the Registration staff refer to them as one of those patients. So please if you can seek help elsewhere do so because this place is horrible.

Very disappointed with their bedside manner, checked in to the Emergency room for a dangerously high blood pressure and all they care about is collecting my co -pay . I was in Emergency room being treated when a person from registration came in and asks me how I would like to take care of my 500.00 copay. I said, are you kidding me right now, and she turned the computer around and said, no, thats what it says on your insurance, if you went to Urgent Care then you would only pay %50.00, so how do you want to pay. Needless to say, my blood pressure which was starting to go down went up again after her visit. Theres got to be sometype of protocol on how they handle this type of situation. She could have caused me to have a heart attack right there. The doctor was great, and I should have said something to him then.

I have had to go to this Emergency room a few times in the wee hours of the morning. I have been a residence very near by for years and it has always been a blessing. Once, when it was an extreme emergency and a few times when I was unsure how urgent. In every situation the staff has been very caring, patient, thorough but quick. Never any unnecessary waiting and always keeping you up to date on whats next. Always determined to run every test to be sure ALL was well before sending me home! Once even having to admit me and transport me to another hospital. That time, I drove myself in alone (barely able to drive) and my family had to be called, but I never felt alone. In EVERY situation, I was so VERY thankful for this Team of people!

I shared this info with them but was told I had to have an xray for them to make sure I did not break or fracture my hand. I was given 1 pain med (which did not work) For close to 5 hours, I waited, crying in pain!!! I kept asking about the shot and was told I would need to wait for doctor. I finally was told I could go in to see/WAIT for doctor. At that time the nurse told me We dont give Cortizone shots here, you would need to go to a reg ER After waiting another 30 min for doctor, I left. By then it was morning and I went to my reg MD. When I received the charges, I was angered and submitting an appeal. Had I been told early on that they do not administer this shot, I could have gone to a REAL ER. You should not advertise or charge for ER services, when you cant deliver. There were two people in the waiting room when I got there. Waiting 5 hours for care that I could not get, then being charged these rates is wrong.

Went today and it was an absolute fiasco. First, two other groups of people came in after us with no visible injuries and they were taken before us. We repeated had various people in and out. The PA refused to stitch up the wound. She left us after we waited another 20 minutes for her- she said someone else needed to wrap it. Another 20 minutes later the discharge nurse came in. After realizing he hadn’t been wrapped she did that. Then, she stepped out with the computer screen up so we got to see every patient that was there, DOB and reason they were there. PA never told us he needed to keep foot elevated for 24 hours, we found out from an out of town family surgeon. Once we got home, wound started gushing again. PA also said we wouldn’t be given antibiotics but then discharge nurse gave two antibiotics.
