This facility is by far the best ER/outpatient facility my wife and I have ever been to! I would certainly recommend it to anyone for professional, excellent and expedient care! Truly the Best!

Wait time is absolutely unacceptable! I am from out on town on “vacation” so I’m already irritated, but not only did I come here as soon as I hit town last night (which was going on 11 pm when I arrived”, and I ended up signing myself out around 2 AM once I was told by the front desk that there were SEVEN people in front of me! Came back today with my child, and we’ve been sitting in the waiting room for over 3 hours! Still here waiting as I type! I have 2 reasons I need to be seen, but one is for a bad toothache. I’ve been in pain all this time, and now it’s dinner time & my child is hungry. This really doesn’t make any sense at all. I get that my “emergency” may not be the most severe, but at least mix it up a little. I haven’t seen anyone looking SLIGHTLY near death yet, and they’re steady calling on people that clearly arrived waaayyy after us! It’s going on 5:30 pm and I’ve literally wasted a whole vacation day (and night) and still have the same issue. Never again!!!

I love this location. It seems to be hidden because the times I needed to go I was in and out. You just expect to spend hours in the ER but not this one. Very nice and clean.

We usually love this place and are in and out, but we are on hour five of waiting with our 4 month old and we were sent here by our doctor. He said my husband might have a nerve disorder so we came and we’ve been sitting for hours. I know they’re busy but this feels excessive!

Unfortunately, I currently don’t have insurance. I’m pretty sure this would be the reason I had to wait 3 hours to be seenI arrived at 8:09 I am currently writing my review at 10:54 with not even 20 people revolving in and out of here, I am watching them come and go. I understand they have to prioritize patients, however I had strep throat with trouble breathing. I witnessed people who were not even sick with back pain for example go before me. The local government covers impoverished patients without healthcare while they figure out their situation. They are supposed to receive quality care regardless of income, race, or religion. I only know this because I am a nursing student who will one day have great coverage, until then it would be nice to be treated fairly! 😡

I came in for a cut on my four year olds head that wouldnt stop bleeding. I literally had to bring him with a kitchen dish towel pressed on it to add pressure and soak up the blood. I had been to the urgent care across the street but they said to come to the ER as it would be a long wait there and they thought he needed faster medical care. We waited for a little over an hour and a half before the nurse called us back. By this time the bleeding had stopped because I had kept pressure on it. I didnt know if there was anything that could be done (stitches? Medical glue?) at that point since it had already stopped bleeding. Anyway, I thought at this point we would be getting a room, could see the doctor, and be on our way. Nope! The nurse took his vitals signs, asked what happened, slapped a bandaid on it, and sent us back out to the waiting room to wait for a room. We didnt get called back to a room for another three hours. Another hour later we decided to leave because it had stopped bleeding, we still hadnt seen a doctor, and my babysitter for my other children needed to leave so I needed to get home. This is by far the worst experience I have had at an ER or urgent care. I know they are busy but this seems beyond that. I wish I would have read the reviews before I wasted my whole day here.

This is the worst hospital I’ve ever been to. I’ve currently been in the waiting room for over 4 and a half hours with severe symptoms for covid. I’m on my 7th day and I need to be seen. I can’t leave to wait in my car to lie down and I can’t move because of my very shallow breathing. This hospital is horrible. You better be taking an expensive ambulance in order to even be seen here because if not, then you’re worthless.

I was honestly conflicted about how to rate this facility. The staff is friendly and efficient. The waiting is generally not bad at all. They overcharge for everything. $50 for one ibuprofen? They have an electronic signature policy where you have to sign without seeing anything. They offer a print out afterwards, but not before. This includes signing that you understand their privacy policy which they say they cannot provide until after you sign. I hear them just saying, Sign this for HIPPA now, which is even worse. How could this possibly be legally binding? How could this actually be meeting HIPPA regulatory guidelines? This whole process needs to be audited.

I had a great experience here , I did not have to wait in the waiting room but I did have to wait a bit to see my doctor due to them being busy. But other than that I had excellent care and the male nurse I had (I can’t remember his name) but he was very kind and gentle and he made me laugh.

Nurse I had when I first came in was great but I have been here for nearly 5 hours have only seen my nurse and my doctor one time. Doctor was not clear on what was being ordered and have yet to get my results. Also eat before you come I’ve asked for a snack or something to munch on 5 times and no one has yet to give me or get me anything my stomach is eating itself and I am lightheaded let the nurse know that she said she would ask the doctor if I could get something and no one has come to give me anything. Honestly should give it a 0-1 but I liked the nurse and ultrasound lady.

Dr. Gonzales and Nurse Brittney are Awesome!!🤩 They both really care about what you’re going through and they try their very best to make sure that you are taken care of. I could literally see the care and concern in Dr. Gonzales’ eyes and it was really comforting.

My experience at the Rocky River Rd (Atrium health ER) was a very pleasant one. From the front door check in all the way to the back was fantastic. By the way I had an amazing Dr. as well. I even received a follow-up phone call just to see if I had any questions. In my opinion I felt that was very thoughtful. I highly recommend this facility!

This place is amazing! Everyone from the time you walk in the door all the way to the Doctors are amazing, caring, and kind. We waited less than 15 minutes to get back and immediately had people getting my husband the care he needed. We can not say enough great things about the care we ALWAYS receive at the Atrium health on Rocky River Rd in Harrisburg.

Went in for kidney stones. After reviewing my CT scan the Dr. came in and said kidneys were fine and so was my gall bladder. I don’t even have a gall bladder. They discharged me and the nurse stood there and watched as my family struggled to get me out of the bed and into the wheelchair. I kept falling from the pain and she just stood there callously and watched as my family struggled and I screamed in pain. I was treated inhumanely.

Was there for almost 4h, didn’t even see a dr until 3h into visit. Nurse was awesome- very attentive and sorry for the extra wait. Dr ran no tests to confirm what my issue was, sent me home after giving 1 Ibuprofen. Not looking forward to the bill! All of that for one Ibuprofen! Dr didn’t even spend 30min in the room and dismissed issue. Would’ve gone to urgent care but they sent me here because they didn’t have the proper equipment to test for the issue and the ED did. The ED didn’t even attempt to do anything except a pregnancy test and ask about Covid exposure. Should’ve just gone home and saved the money! CVS would’ve been just as helpful and cost so much less!

I cannot believe what an amazing experience I had last week when treated in the emergency room. There was no wait, as I was taken into a room upon arrival. The staff was compassionate and very efficient. Dr. Sundaresan was brilliant. I had a tough diagnosis, but she left no stone unturned until she found what my primary care doctor could not. I was in and out in a little over an hour and a half, including all the labs, the IVs and consulting the doctor did with others. Again, I cant believe what a great experience my ER visit was. A+++

I smashed my finger open working on a lawnmower. The staff here were not only fast, efficient, and professional, but they also tolerated my nervous in-shock babbling and answered my questions. Id like to specifically mention my nurses: Emily, and the gentleman who saw me next shift, whose name I didnt catch. And Id like to thank the attending doctor, Aris de Vries, for not only taking good care of my wound, but for also treating me like a human being and talking to me while he worked.The place itself is clean, and its pleasant, with big rooms and good lighting. They were taking all necessary COVID precautions, which reassured me. I felt quite safe there in general, which is all I can really ask for in a hospital.

This place has gone down hill. During my stay, my nurse was unprofessional, invasive, judge mental, and made remarks about how people are using covid as an excuse. She began pulling on the needle stuck inside my arm when she had trouble drawing blood. I waited 15 mins for a nurse to help me get to the bathroom because I was hooked to Iv. Eventually, I unhooked the iv from the tall rod that was connected to a monitor and went to restroom. The room was left a mess and drawers that are suppose to be locked were left open. After I was discharged, the ladies at the front desk ignored me when I was leaving out, but acknowledge the white couple that was walking behind me. I would not recommend this ER to anyone.

I brought my wife here for an emergency servicing and we were seen right away. The staff is friendly, courteous and professional. The nurses are very articulate and helpful and the doctor was very knowledgeable and informative. We left there feeling a lot better and more confident.

This is usually the only ER that I will go to as the wait typically isn’t terrible and the care received us great, so when I took my fiancé there a week ago I was expecting better. Two weeks ago he presented with nausea, vomiting, confusion, weakness, extreme fatigue, chills, sudden onset of headaches, abdominal pain so we did a virtual visit and he was given an appointment for Covid testing. That came back negative. When the symptoms didn’t lessen but increased(to the point of him also passing out multiple times) we went to urgent care. Urgent care advised us to go to the ER since his symptoms was beyond their scope of care as imaging would (more than likely) need to be completed. We leave urgent care to come to this emergency department. We arrive and he goes through their screening process and temp check and he give them his symptoms. Due to his symptoms, I wait in the waiting room while he goes back. The Dr asks the standard questions including do you consume alcohol. He told him that he did. Once the Dr heard that, he pushed off my fiancé’s symptoms and gave him an IV and sent a script for nausea medication. The Dr treated this as nothing more than a hangover. No imaging. No further care. Throughout the day, he still doesn’t improve. The following day he is worse. We go back to urgent care and they were shocked there was no imaging or anything beyond an IV completed. We were able to get him into his PCM the next day. His PCM took the symptoms serious enough to order imaging to see the cause of the issue.The lack of care provided blew my mind and now we wait for the overinflated bill for mediocre care.

The wait wasn’t too long, the doctors were a bit impersonal but OH. MY. GOD. THE NURSES!!!! Nurse Lauren was easily one of my best nursing experiences in ever. She made sure I was comfortable and at ease the whole way through, got me the meds I truly needed, made certain that all my questions were answered and I was totally comfortable (as I could be at the ER), and we even had a few laughs together. I told her I’d leave her a yelp review if I could but this is the best I can do. Nurse Lauren, you are amazing and I wish all nurses were as kind and attentive as you! There was also another, She was a bit older and had blonde hair as well, she did my CT scan and was also very kind, gentle, and informative. To be honest, the doctors were rough (as in -“does this hurt?” *PUNCHES MY KIDNEY”) and rushed, but the nurses more than made up for everything. Big shoutout again to nurse Lauren you deserve a raise homegirl.

Went there with chest pains, migraine headache and abscess tooth, they treated me for the tooth, I asked if I could get an aspirin for my headache, got completely ignored, so needless to say, I came out with chest pain still and a headache! This place is unbelievable, I will never go to this place again! Btw still having chest pains!!On another note, they also treated my mother poorly when she went there months ago!!

My son was seen last Saturday after an accidental foot injury, causing a puncture wound to the top of his foot. He received a tetanus shot, x-ray to confirm no breaks and a prescription for antibiotics. At no time did anyone on the staff clean the wound that had been bleeding, and allowed him to walk out in dirty socks and muddy boots without even a bandaid on the wound. Only a day later his wound was starting to show signs of infection. Would have expected more and better care than was received

Best emergency room experience!! Within 20 minutes I was checked in, saw several nurses and received X-rays for my symptoms. I am definitely grateful to have my family living near this location and feel comfortable with all the staff Ive met today. So glad to come here rather than Urgent Care

Good afternoonI hate putting bad reviews but I just have to put this one. I am putting a one star because there’s not a zero star in here. I actually came here last night very late. My experience was horrible. I came there and then got assisted. A lady helped me out and everything was fine, but then a lady named Monica assisted me. That’s where the horrible experience came into place. I speak very little English, but I speak enough. I brought my son because he was serious trouble with kidney stones. She knew that i was his mother and she heard me talking to him in Spanish , my son knows very little of these things so I always have to help him out, she was ignoring me the whole time and even when I was trying to help she has her back on me and wasn’t even paying attention to me when I tried to talk. Yes he is 18 but i am his mother and I came here for a reason or he would of came alone. How is it that her being Hispanic and her knowing I was having trouble, she did not even bother to help me. She didn’t tell me she was from Guatemala but one of the ladies told me she was, I was very upset about that. I myself am in the medical field and I know How it is when I see patients that can’t speak English, I asked her for her title and everything and still was no help. They sent another lady and she was so helpful to me and she didn’t even speak Spanish but she tried to communicate and I loved her. Made me think she is racist towards her own race or something because she was not treating us right but she was to others. I was so disappointed with her service. Her being Hispanic, why wouldn’t she help me that I can’t understand that well. Because she’s there to help us that can’t speak Spanish, so disappointed in this.

Went here for a late night emergency on a Thursday when my young son got some dirt in his eye that we wouldnt flush out. Waiting about 1hr20 minutes to see a doctor. Saw the doctor for 10 minutes during which I held the light since no nurses were available and he quickly removed the small piece of dirt. Back out the door in less than 2 hours. Sticker shock came when I received a bill for over $3,500 for our ten minute visit with me assisting. Again, all the doctor did we use a tool to gently remove the object. DO NOT GO to this facility unless it is a dire emergency! Wait for an urgent care to open or any other facility unless it is a life or death situation. I have called and appealed and they have insisted the billing is correct and will not change it.

My son came in with a 103 temp and trouble breathing and I cannot say how overwhelming pleased I was with everyone at this emergency room. They were kind and and very caring even when my son resisted his breathing treatment. It was a very scary experience but they responded promptly and relived me of a horrible experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of emergency care. The director even went around to check and ensure everyone was comfortable. I cannot thank you enough :)

Went in to emergency room for rabies shot. Spoke to the PA for 10 mins. He sent a bill to insurance company for $900+. Then a separate bill from Atrium health for $16000 of which I paid $500. Spent 2.5 hours in there. Most of it was waiting for nurses and PA. Astronomical prices for 10 min service. Avoid this place.

Im from another state so I have been extremely hesitant about coming to this hospital based off of the reviews. I am so happy I took the leap of faith because the service is phenomenal. Everyone has been so kind and concerned ever sinceI walked through the door. My name was called before I could even sit down and the staff did an excellent job of checking up on me making sure I was ok. The Dr was fast and knowledgeable, plus understanding of the amount of pain I was in. I will definitely return to this establishment and I would like to thank them all for making me feel like a priority.

Bad wait times seems to be the recurring theme here, after getting through triage, we waited for over an hour and a half to be put in a room, after being told it would take 20 minutes if that. Only one abulance came in, so its not like they are flooded mind you shes here with possible pancrial or gallbladder issues causing extreme pain in her abdomen. Both in which could be very serious problems. The site was saying 15 min wait time which was bull. The time they told us in house was bull, and shes sitting in the waiting room in mass amounts of pain with litterally like 4 people in there with us, thats it......get your sh** together guys....if it were you in our position you would be livid, and thats how you should be treating your patients, as if it were you being taken care of...

Yesterday was my first time ever going there; and it was a great experience.! I hate emergency rooms; so I avoid them at all costs, but I literally walked in and was checked in by the nice and informative receptionist within five minutes tops. He then took me back to the room where I was immediately met by the Insurance Registar, and the RN immediately came in soon after to assist me while the nurse was completing her rounds in the other rooms. Dr. Gaskin came in as soon as the nurse came and was taking more vitals and asking the necessary questions. I got there around 9 AM and left around 11:30 AM or 12 PM. It was honestly a great experience. It was the quickest ER visit I’ve ever had for a serious problem. All of my questions were answered and handled efficiently and in a timely manner. The doctor and nurses, and radiology staff were all very professional and knowledgeable. And the emergency room is located extremely conveniently off of 485 on Rocky River. I recommend this ER to everyone who doesn’t want to spend their entire day in the emergency room to get proper care. Great job Carolina healthcare systems .

If I could rate a zero I would. Have been here 3 hours with my husband. Havent seen one person go back for treatment. He was taken over an hour ago for xray and we have been sitting in lobby waiting. They gladly took my money but sure taking their time to treat him or anyone else. Asked if they had any idea of when he might be seen and was told they didnt know. Website says 1 hour 45 wait time....they lie.

If i could rate zero i would. To put it simply they do not care about your well being, or the severity of your condition. I got stabbed in the eye with a drill bit attached to a screw gun and have been sitting in this waiting room for an hour now with all these ladies telling me lies about getting me seen ASAP and my condition isnt severe enough to be taken back immediately. My meat on the inside of my eye is exposed and theres a hole big enough to fit my finger in. THEY DO NOT CARE.

I went in with 2nd -3rd degree burns in my mouth. Dr. Gaslan gave me some crappy mouth rinse and said thats all I need. I said will it last and let me sleep through the night? She said oh yes. They gave me a thck product in the hospital that only lasted an hour. What I got at the Pharmacy was much more watery.. I get better results with the OTC products and they dont cost $30 a small bottle!Now my co pay of $150 plus whatever else they want to add to it will put my visit at over $200. Hey. Thank you Harrisburg ER!You are doing a crappy job helping people. Dr. Gaslan you suck!On a positive note, I got in quickly. It took a while to get out.

I have a medical condition ive been living with for past 9 years and will continue to for rest of my life. I was new to north carolina and happened to have an episode wich means i need a specific type antibotic pescription. I went to this place with papers from the specialists who created my treatment plan. The doctor refused to look at papers and pescribed a diffrent antibotic that caused me to be right back in the hospital. They then charged 5,000 dollars. They have refused to give me itemized bill for the 15 minutes i spent in the back. Instead they have sued me in small claims court with threats of confiscating my personal property to pay for a bill that just list the dollar amount. I have never in my 45 years of life have come across a more dispicable medical facility. I have also never encountered a situation were i was refused a bill stating what i am paying for. My friends, my family, the state of north carolina conusmer protection group, and anybody i encounter have and will be warned of this dishonest, sneaky, unprofessional, and incompatent facility. Ps if you call the billing number given every hour monday through friday nobody answers and no matter how many messages you leave they will never call back.

Dr. Gaskin saw my grandmother at the ER after waiting for hours. She had been throwing up and had a headache for two weeks, which she told him. He proceeded to have blood work done only to tell her that her fluids were low and send her home. A week later the headache was even worse so she went to her primary care doctor. Her primary care doctor checked both of her ears, which were full of fluid, and also her nasal cavity which was fully congested showing that she had a severe sinus infection. He also ordered a CT scan which indicated that she had brain bleed. An MRI was then ordered which found that she had a blood clot down the entire right side of her brain. I want to know why Dr. Gaskin not ONCE checked anything with her head when her main complaint was a splitting headache. Had Dr. Gaskin actually done his job when she visited the ER, he would have been able to refer her to the specialist she needed a week earlier. This shows me that Dr. Gaskin has absolutely no care for his patients; he simply wants to get them in and out as quickly as possible. I would NOT recommend Dr. Gaskin at all.

Very terrible experience. The nurse staff stuck me 4 times to get some blood. The last guy who was trying stuck the needle in my bicep most painful blood draw ever and i have had a lot over the years. The Dr was rude and had no bedside manner. Had music playing loud as hell over the pa speakers.I mean is this a hospital or a mechanic shop.

They were really good to us we were in and out in no time the staff were very nice. I am glad I didnt have the same experience as the other reviews did. I will go back there if I ever need to go again

I filed a formal complaint with the Hospital Administration after my daughter was went to this ER, got an x-ray that came back positive for pneumonia, but wasnt told she had pneumonia nor treated for it. The ER doc told her she had a little fluid in the lungs (which was normal) and was prescribed an inhaler. My daughter flew out of state two days after her ER visit and ended up in the hospital when she landed. The doctors at the 2nd hospital did another x-ray and told her she had pneumonia and asked her why she was flying. They were LIVID when they learned she was seen by medical professionals 2 days earlier, but was not properly treated or instructed.After my complaint was investigated,, I received a written letter of apology from CHS and they reversed all charges related to my daughters ER visit.I have instructed my daughter that she is not allowed to go to this location again. I dont care how short the wait time might be! She is to go to the Concord location or to CVS MInute Clinic and WAIT!

If there was a 0 star that is what I would choose, but..Since there is not .. I had to give it a 1.. I have never been treated so poorly & neglectful , by so called professional medical staff in my life . This place burned an emotional hole in me today, that I will never forget. The staff was cold and SMUG!.Dr. Rashad should not be a Dr. , under the hypocratical oath he swore to practice medicine by, when becoming a Dr, He does NOT follow.. He will go by the computer & what the computer spits out alone. He will not listen to you , your history or even your loved ones ... Your voice will NOT be heard or even taken in consideration..I will not only be reporting him to CMCCs board, but also the NC Doctors board of Doctors.DO NOT GO HERE!

45 mins past when xrays were Read and they still havent taken my daughter back to see the dr to discuss results. They have not had a lot of people but seem understaffed maybe and going very slow. When asked why taking so long head nurse was very rude and condescending.

The wait wasnt long. The service on the other hand was not very good. Triage nurse was not nice at first then maybe she went and had a cigarette or something, because the next time I saw her she was nicer. Got into a room doc comes in pretty quick. I think she maybe did a half smile the hole time she was in the room. I think Mortisha smiled more than she did. Anyway she was in and outso quick like the ER was on fire. Ibelieve I was the only one there to. Youno when you feel so crapy and you gosomewhere to feel better you kindawould like people to be nice to you. No, dont go to CMC Harrisburg if you want people to be nice and smile. They got a 22 million dollar nice facility, but I think they needed to give the people that work there a new attitude, a raise or something. The only person that smiled and acted like he liked his job was the guy that took my xray and the young girl that was doing registration. Why do most doctors have crapy beside manner? Having a good conversation with your patient and finding out how there doing and whats wrong is your number one priority.

Horrible waited 3 hours after my X-ray to be told it was sprained all fine and dandy . But dr was mean . And didnt even treat it properly . You are supposed to wrap it and all I got was sent on my marry way .
