Where do i start first.. I came to this Hospital in pain and left in pain. The person who took my temperature was unprofessional. The PA was Horrible. If i could leave a 0 i would. I came there for a inner ear infection and my tonsils is swollen. I had a little hearing in my ear now i cant hear at all from all the digging and pulling on my ear. Awful place.

In all seriousness, you are better off crawling into a hole and self diagnosing than stepping foot in this place. They BLAST music in the main doctor room. I have a concussion and they’re literally playing music at full volume. One of the employees described it as “having a party,” right before commenting that my arm was big. The most unprofessional experience I have ever had in my 24 years of living.

If you are smart. Beware of this Hospital. From the ER Dept. And from upstairs till you can come home. Atrium; When hiring someone. They make sure they hire the rudiest people to work for them. They want to make sure your experience there will be one youll never forget. Also do not ask for pain meds. If you do your a dope addict. Beware. Go to Novant. They care

I hurt myself from falling on the ground. I went to the ER. I was finally diagnosed with a fracture in my spine. I sat in a wheelchair on Friday 8:30pm to I:00am.Saturday morning. They refused to give me anything for pain. Finally at 3:00am they gave me a shot. Sent me home at 9:00am in a body cast. I have been a patient for over 15 years. I had insurance coverage.

I was in so much pain had migraine headaches for 3 days, no appetite for 3 days but the only thing they wanted to do is give me a Covid test and sent me home in pain. Took them 35 minutes to give me my discharge papers.

The hospitality by the medical professionals was outstanding. This is shocking due to ERs typically being known for their tardiness, and lack of empathy due to long shifts. I was going to leave an extremely positive comment due to the great service I received until the bills began to arrive. My insurance card information was taken when I first walked in. However, I received more than five bills that did not show insurance applied. Needless to say. I had to spend days contacting multiple facilities to make sure everyone had my insurance on file. Had I not worked for an insurance company before, I surely would think that you all are getting over on your patients. This is a healthcare facility, I would think before leaving that you all would have double checked to make sure I had insurance before assuming I didnt. This is slack! Your front care service reps need to up their game. I will no longer be going to an Atrium Health again.

The service was very good from ambulance pickup to getting treated by nurses and practitioner. Security guard gave my daughter a number to call so that she could be in waiting area with me. She tried it 10 times and no one answered. My daughter did not get to me until an hour after I arrived. This should be corrected.

I was getting blood drawn and he took his glove off in the process. I bled everywhere even on his hand. He then touched the site. Nurses were in the hall talking about patients and what they were there for. I shouldn’t know the patient down the hall medical issues. It took 30 min for a nurse to help me use the bathroom. I was stuck 6 times when I told them they have to use an ultrasound to find the vein. During the 6th time while using the ultrasound like I said he jammed the needle in my arm. I still have a bad bruise from a week ago. I’m also in pain from when the nurse was wiggling the needle in my arm for 10 minutes looking for a vein. There was also dried blood on the bed rail and wheel.

I Had an issue that the VA was moving to slow to get rid of the pain and a diagnosis.Went to CMC Atrium. They fixed me right up faster than I thought they would. The only issue I had was my discharge paperwork said 3 to 4 days recommended recovery time but only got a two day work note.

It’s really sad to see a big hospital like this handle Covid19 patient. I expect to see a different entrance for Covid19 and non Covid. But this hospital allow both Covid and non Covid pt to enter the same way and I don’t know what the purpose of the screening when you allow a Covid19 patient in with a regular patient, that is a big risk and likely to expose to more people. I don’t feel safe at all and very disappointed. I was at the waiting area and they brought a Covid Pt to do the vital signs right in front of me and my mom who is at high risk at her 70s with lots chronic illness and they act like it’s nothing. I feel disgusted and would not recommend after seeing this. It use to be my favorite hospital now I feel not safe going there.

I arrived in an ambulance with injuries on my arms, face and head. The paramedics were very nice. The initial team in the ER performed head scans and I was placed in a room by myself and left there without any information about next steps. I was disoriented and in pain and calling for assistance but nobody came. I wasn’t told I had a call button on me but even when I found out I couldn’t reach it because one arm was broken and the other one was tangled up in heart monitor wires. My neck was still in a brace and I couldn’t move. Finally someone heard me and gave me pain medication. Over the course of the next eight hours, I saw about ten different nurses and had to wait a long time in between seeing providers because they were busy. The nurses spoke condescendingly and it felt very disorganized. One person wheeled me to a new location to wait for xrays. He placed me next to a loud TV playing football and commercials. Given I had a head injury and was very sensitive to sound, this seemed a very poor choice. I called out for someone to turn it off but nobody heard me. That said, the doctors who put on the cast and stitched up my face did a good job.

This is by far the WORST hospital I’ve ever been to in my life. No one cares about the needs of the patient. They even knowingly left a young lady who admitted that she was exposed to COVID in the waiting area. I waited 5 hours in the waiting area but just ended up leaving because I thought I was going to die if i waited any longer. Thank God I was able to take my great insurance over to Novant. Avoid this terrible place.

I came in for an incarcerated hernia. It was no longer incarcerated when I came in. I never made it past triage. I just wanted to know that it was okay until I had surgery. I thought I received good care. I asked if I could just leave, but the PA had the nurse give me an IV drug to help with pain, which I didnt have anymore. Turns out they just did that to code it as a level 4 er visit. I now have a medical bill I cannot afford to pay especially after they way overcharged me for my surgery. I had a thirty minute hernia repair surgery later that was billed at 29k. Congratulations for taking advantage of military veterans. The care was great, but the business practices are unethical. I had requested an itemized bill for everything and was shocked. I plan to fight this.

The ER is alot to be desired...although they were very busy with a lot of traumas coming in...the young lady who was my mothers nurse was very sweet and helpful....the person at the desk when you arrive needs some personality....after the move to the room upstairs...totally different scenario. I feel for the ER staff...there was a lot of CRAZY and hostile people they have to deal with there. 😳 The X-Ray cafe is really good.

If i could give 0 I would. I have been here over 7 hours and havent even breathed the same air as a doctor let alone seen one I was told there was absolutely no rooms they just stuck us all in the waiting room one poor boy was almost passed out hooked up to 4 different bags for us all to see they even gave me my morphine in my IV in the waiting room. All around worst ER Ive ever been to. If you want to actually see a doctor or have medical privacy this ER isnt for u. If u wanna waste your time and be embarrassed than this is the place for you.

Can I leave negative stars??? This place is a joke. Wait time was 1 hour when we arrived- as of right now, we’ve been waiting for 4 hours and 20 minutes. They make you pay your copay that you can’t get back so you can’t leave! Will NEVER return. You would think if someone is bleeding profusely, care would be a little more immediate.

Absolutely, positively terrible experience.Understaffed, utter failure to share information, and completely lacking any semblance of customer care. It’s pretty awful when you hear the nurses openly discuss boarding patients.I personally saw Four people leave, one executing an AMA release, rather wait any longer.I’m embarrassed for y’all.

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL UNLESS YOU ARE DYING. Theyre worthless. No one knows what theyre doing, the nurses obviously dont care about their bedside maner, and myself about 20 other of the SAME PEOPLE were here for 6 hours, just in the waiting room, half of us with IV connectors in our arms because apparently they can triage people and take blood but do LITERALLY NOTHING ELSE. Again, DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL IF YOUR LIFE IS NOT IN DANGER. I am from out of town and this was the closest ER. If Id known I was going to sit with an open wound on my arm in a waiting room for 6 hours I would have just damn driven myself back to VA. This place is trash.

BEWARE!!! I left with more questions than answers and feeling worse than when i came in. They didnt even care they were ready for me to go. The response times are ridiculous and i was the only 1. Good thing i didnt die while waiting for them to finish their conversations and feel like attending to me while i laid in pain. When i asked what they thought was wrong with me it went from possible stroke to i dunno and him walking out without giving me any comfort. They didnt even attempt to find out. I had to ask for a scan and for them to run tests. The emergency room has no since of urgency or consideration but im sure when the bill comes they want it paid quickly. I wish i would have seen their rating b4 i went.
