This is late in coming but I saw Dr. McSpadden back in 2019 for a botched foot surgery by another doctor. He was caring, straightforward, attentive and thorough. I highly recommend him.

Dr. McSpadden and staff were great! He was very attentive and made sure all my questions were answered. My ankle is feeling so much better!

The nurse met me the front door of the office at my scheduled appointment time, took my temperature, made sure I had my mask on then showed me directly to my exam room. The exam room chairs had just been wiped off with a disinfectant and all nurses and the doctor were wearing masks. I felt completely comfortable being in the office with this COVID19 pandemic going on. They seemed well prepared to handle their patients visits.

I appreciate how Dr McSpadden explains everything in detail. The staff and Doctor McSpadden are very nice and easy to talk to. I highly recommend them.

Dr. Mcspadden took his time, explaining the issue well. He also explained what I could do to take care of it and the amount of time it may take to treat both the main issue and the symptoms. It was an excellent visit.

I felt like I was truly listened too. My foot problem was explained to me and courses of action were discussed. I appreciated that the suggested approach was on the conservative side and not just a rush to omit possibilities and move straight to the more aggressive treatment. Staff were all caring and helpful.

From Start to finish they were awesome. My Nurse Veronic, was absolutely amazing. I have huge anxiety with medical procedures but just made me feel very comfortable. Then, Dr. McSpadden came in and made it seem like we had been friends our whole life. Nothing but the best here.

My appointment was for 3pm. They asked me toarrive 20 mins early, if I didn’t complete the paperwork online ahead of time, which I did. I finally got taken into the exam room at 3:30pm, (at no point anyone spoke to me or explained the delay) after which the assistant took down some history (most of the same questions that I had a answered on the iPad already, and a couple I hadn’t), took some X-rays and then told me to wait as it could be a long wait. It was 3:45-ish at this point and I had been there for over an hour already. So I asked them if I could re-schedule since my kids were home alone. They gave me a gift card for Starbucks as an apology and said it could be 15 mins more or so.I figured I may as well wait since I had already wasted so much time and didn’t want to go through it again next time. The doctor finally came in close to 4pm.The examination and diagnosis was pretty quick and thorough- so no complaints there.But I just wish that they had not wasted so much of my time- I get that there is a certain amount of wait time at every doctors office that is unavoidable, but this is beyond ridiculous that my time is absolutely not important to them.I do have a follow up appointment, so hopefully that goes better than my first experience.

My son had a double ingrown toenail and was a bit worried about getting it all fixed. Dr. McSpadden and the crew at North Austin Foot & Ankle Institute helped make his visit relaxed and easy. I took my 2 year old daughter here when she was limping and Dr. Keith was fantastic with her. There was no wait time, the x-rays were fast and I could see them as we were talking to Dr. McSpadden. He has an amazing bedside manner. Now anytime we need to see a doctor she asks to go see Dr. Keith I would definitely go see him if I needed care and I would highly recommend him for children as well!

I had ankle surgery 2 years ago with Dr. McSpadden and had amazing results with the whole process and just love the extra attention the whole staff gives. Unfortunately I have another issue with my foot and have a new surgery coming up - but I wouldn’t go anywhere but with Dr. McSpadden!!! My 7yr old daughter needed her toenail pulled due to an injury at dance and they kindly squeezed us in for an appointment and took care of her. Dr. McSpadden was professional and VERY patient with her as she was scared and in pain. He walked us through everything he was going to do for her, how to take care of it afterwards, etc. We would highly recommend him!!

This is a two part review. Earlier this year I started seeing Dr. McSpadden for a small wound on my left outside ankle. After several months of wound care, the wound appeared to be healing. He was very conservative with the care. Since I had previously had an issue with the same area I was concerned about the appearance, and repeatedly asked if there was a possibility that the world was infected. I was continuously told that the wound was not infected. In September the wound began to swelling and started turning dark red in appearance. At which time I decided to go the the ER. This was 4 days before my next appt with Austin Foot and Ankle (Dr. McSpadden), at which time I was told my foot in fact was infected. I was admitted into St. Davids in Round Rock. During my stay there, they performedv an MRI. The test revealed that the infection had spread to the bone. Ive undergonr two surgeries to remove parts of my ankle. I began inpatient IV antibiotic on Oct 2nd, and Im still in the hospital receiving IV therapy. With the involvement of the surrounding bone, i I was told the infection had been there for an extended period of time. I was advised that An earlier MRI would have detected it the infection before it became more advanced.

Just had my first visit with Dr McSpadden for a foot issue that wasnt improving. Ive been to various doctors about this, and also have other complications. Dr M. was wonderful! He took 45 min with me to explain what was going on, and how we were going to treat it. I never felt rushed (although the nurse stopped in twice since he was getting behind in patients!) and every question was answered patiently. I cant say enough about him - very knowledgable (especially about all my other issues), kind, patient, and positive. Plus, I finally have answers to my issues - and a treatment plan that I hope works! I highly recommend!

My experience was amazing. I was having a lot of trouble with my feet (neuropathy and plantar fasciitis.) He was very thorough and wasnt quick to just offer a quick fix to a long term problem. He tried steroid shots on my feet and I was worried that going to Vegas would be a huge problem with all the walking. I havent had pain in over a year. Ive referred him many times over and will continue to do so...Even though hes an Aggie...hes a great doctor! He listens and he cares.. Go see him! I wouldnt steer you wrong!

I recently relocated to Cedar Park and was referred to Dr. McSpadden by another physician for a chronic foot condition. I found Dr. McSpadden to be personable, caring and very informative in his approach to foot health and care. He performed a procedure to relieve foot pain which I was experiencing. It could not have gone better. He was considerate. The pain is completely resolved after about two weeks of recovery, without incident. If you want great care for your feet, I recommend Dr. McSpadden highly and without reservation. He certainly took good care of me, for which I am grateful.

I went to Dr. McSpadden with a ankle pain from an old injury. We did the necessary test to make a long term decision of surgery. They scheduled my surgery with such ease. Dr. McSpadden ran through everything prior to surgery and then to my family after surgery. Unfortunately my pain was much more than I could take and on a holiday weekend he called me back within seconds of my VM. I was WOWed. In my post op we took the cast off so he could look at it and show me (and my family) what took place in surgery again. Overall, the whole process was made easy and comfortable for being surgery because of Dr. McSpadden and his staff. I have and will refer him to any and everyone that needs a foot doctor. Thank you Dr. McSpadden for your genuine and superb expert care.
