Had an initial appointment with Dr Junaid Siddiqui, MD.. Texas Digestive Disease Consultants.. A brief history, review, and examination. Scheduled a procedure in 3 weeks that will be done in the same location. Brand new facility..great , convenient location. The Dr and his staff were all very friendly and professional..

Dr Siddiqui and his staff were very caring, attentive, and acted quickly to get a diagnosis.I had been to several doctors trying to find out what was causing me so much pain. Dr. Siddiqui was referred to me by my general care physician. With my first meeting, I found Dr. Siddiqui to be very knowledgeable, professional and caring. He saw to it that my care was to be quick and through.

I was referred to Dr Siddiqui because of severe stomach pain. My initial visit was good. He ordered an endoscope and colonoscopy. After the procedure the gave me pictures and explanation of all he found.3 colon polyps, 2 polyps in the upper abdomen and 3 places in my stomach that had erythmia. He biopsied all. Everything was negative. So he had me do a Pill cam. It revealed I have H Pylori in my small intestines and gastritis from the H Pylori. At this point is where things got bad. He prescribed Xyfaxan. It had to have a prior authorization. I found out the prior authorization was denied. They wanted me to take 1 of 3 suggested medications first. If it didnt work then they would approve the prior authorization. I called the office and gave them this information. Medical assistant called me back and said she had samples for me. I asked what it was. She said Alinia. I asked if it was an antibiotic. She said it was an antifungal medicine and it actually worked better than an antibiotic. I said is he also going to order an antibiotic. She said no, he just wanted me to take the antifungal. The antifungal is for diarrhea from parasites??? After researching the med and talking to 2 pharmacist, the antifungal has to be used with an antibiotic, omeprazole and diclylomine.I am so upset. I dont really know that this is what the doctor said or the decision of the medical assistant. If they had samples in the office and that was all I needed, then why prescribe the xyfaxan.Without taking 1 of the 3 medicines suggested by my insurance, if the medicine didnt work, then I couldnt get the xyfaxan approved.Problems with staff....phone calls not returned numerous times, when the nurse put in the information for the prior authorization, she said Im doing this for you. No, thats your job....Nurse practioner called in the same medicine twice, within 4 days. They were giving me medicines for ulcers and if the Pill form didnt work then they called it in in liquid form. On Wed the nurse Saud she would call in a GI Cocktail. Never happened. I called back on Friday and asked if they would call in the GI Cocktail to Medsavers Pharmacy. Medsavers even faxed them a request. Well that afternoon I found out the Nurse Practioner called it into HEB. The staff does not communicate well with each other.I see some have had great experiences. Im glad.I think my bad experience was because it was the last test they did that showed what the problem was. It was 7 weeks from the time I went to ER till I knew what was wrong. From day I I told them my pain level was a 10, I couldnt eat without pain. 2 bites of food and my stomach hurt. One day the nurse practioner told the nurse to tell me if my pain was still a 10 to go to ER????My situation was complicated and no one may ever have a bad experience like I have.

I had very bad experiences at TDDC . Communication among staff is basically nonExistent. I ended up in worse condition than before I came to this doctor . Thankfully I was under Dr. Siddiqui’s care for only 10 months . This clinic is only good at scheduling unnecessary and costly procedures because that’s where the profit is.I was given the wrong medications for my condition and I was prescribed medications that had adverse effects on my autoimmune illness that should have never ever been prescribed . By reading other reviews there are plenty of other patients that had the same issue. They do multiple endoscopies and colonoscopies and when you try to schedule a follow up appointment for your results you have to wait a month if you want to see him. Their patient portal is an absolute joke. They take a week to reply IF they reply. They do not even update a patient’s medications on the portal. On appointments Dr. siddiqui hardly makes any eye contact and just looks at the screen. When I switched to the top Gastro clinic in Austin I was told by my doctor that Dr. Siddiqui’s endoscopy report was poorly written without the details of my condition so I have to repeat an endoscopy .I wrote a letter to the Director and board members of TDDC and they never had the courtesy of replying to my letter eventhough they confirmed that they received it.

Professional handling of patients

I went to Dr. Siddiqui in 2014 for a procedure and he was professional, compassionate and very knowledgeable. I liked him a lot. But he has joined a different group now and evidently things have changed. I sent my sister to him for a procedure and she said as they were about to begin he took a phone call about a machine for 10 minutes. Last year I sent my husband to him for a routine procedure and it took 5 weeks and several phone calls on our part to finally get scheduled. No one would ever call us back. I tried to make my 93 year old mother an appointment this week and was told the schedulers were busy and to leave my phone number so they could call me back. Three days later they left me a message that if I still wanted to schedule to call them back. I dont. Went with another group that actually scheduled her on the first try.

Outstanding clinic! The office personnel, nurses and the doctor had a friendly demeanor and all very professional. They took the time to listen to my concerns and answered all my questions. My colonoscopy went smoothly with a lot less discomfort then previous procedures. Highly recommend this clinic and doctor!

His practice has a very poor response time to calls and portal messages. Their Billing dept has major issues. They dont bother to check a patients updated benefits account information with their health insurance so be aware of your billing statements. They would call you to pay any outstanding bill before a procedure even if you already paid an outstanding balance.In my opinion, if you have major gastro issuesAnd a chronic illness/disease that requires the need to get replies within 48hrs from a triage/ nurse , this is NOT the place for you!!. His staff will either not reply to messages on the portal or responds a week later after you chased them sayingwhat can I help you with ( not bothering at all to read the message that you left on the portal before calling a patient). That to me is completely unacceptable.Takes over a month to get a follow up appt to receive the results of your testings. In the big Gastro practice in Austin( with multiple locations) it takes no more than 1 week to schedule a follow up appt if you are already an established patient.Dr. Siddiqui doesnt even read the chart of his patients to remember what he discussed on previous appointments. And I ended up in much worse shape after only 9 months under his care.I went to him because my gastro retired, but thankfully I found a great gastro again and all my issues were resolved within 4 months .The only reason Im giving this practice a 1 star is because their surgery center next door where they perform colonoscopies and endoscopies is top notch service. However I found out that the place is not part of TDDC. In regards to the reply on this post from the owner...I did send a letter to the Director of TDDC and he did not even bother to reply.

Dr. Siddiqui is amazing he is so warm and welcoming and he make you feel so comfortable. I highly recommend him and his PA they explain everything in detail and willing to take extra steps for you and your health.

As a physician myself, I sought out the best gastro doctor for me and my family for our checkups. I had always heard good things about him and his office from patients that I had sent him. But I was impressed how every person in the his office and at the endoscopy center next to his office were so friendly, helpful, professional and caring. Having come to know Dr Siddiqui better from our visits with him, you can tell that his staff is as good and caring as he is. I had to be in contact with them on several occasions and their online patient portal and their returned calls made it such a great experience there. I highly recommend him and as I tell my own patients, dont put off that important colonoscopy screening, especially when TDD makes it so easy and you know you are having a superb doctor with the most modern equipment.

This doctors is great but unfortunately his staff has never been pleasant with my mother . My dad was throwing up blood in the early hours of the morning and we took him to the ER. They where able to get him stable and control his pain. The ER doctor told my mom that he had just spoken to Dr. Siddiqui and told him that my father should come see him asap. When my mother called in to set up an appointment the the office person that she spoke to told her that and fortunately this would be considered a follow-up appointment and right now the doctor was not doing any follow-up appointments. That my father would have to wait until September when he has his appointment then to see the doctor. My mom tried to explain the situation and said that the ER doctors spoke to the doctor and strongly advised to get him in his office as soon as possible. That did not matter this lady spoke over my mother did not let her speak kept repeating over and over again that its is a follow-up and basically it didnt matter if my dad had been throwing up blood or was in pain and thats he had to wait until September. So here we are now looking for another dr. Unfortunately my dad has two autoimmune diseases. This doctor has helped him progressed and deal with the constant issues he has with his digestive system that the disease has compromised. So here we are again looking for yet another doctor because his staff denied my dad an appointment and it didnt matter under what circumstances he needed to see the doctor. I just hope that nothing serious happens to my dad while we are looking for another doctor.

Siddiqui failed to show, or even call, for a scheduled procedure. Staff was unhelpful to the point of rude. They literally waited until the IV was in my arm to tell me that Siddiqui was out of the country. Requests to speak with Siddiqui to understand what went wrong have been refused.

Dr. Siddiqui was very patient and very knowledgeable. He took genuine interest and concern about my pain and got me in for my procedure in a timely manner.

Organ failure (gallbladder) was overlooked while under Junaid Siddiquis care. Monthly visits in-office as well as multiple emergency trips to Cedar Park Regional Medical Center happened after the failure occurred. When Siddiqui was unavailable, the first on-call doctor recognized the failure and ordered an immediate surgery.If you are under his care, I highly advise seeking other specialists locally. Doctors far above his caliber are not hard to find.

I recently moved from the Houston metropolitan area. Since I could no longer consult my former gastroenteroligist, I looked into finding one near my home in Central Texas. It turned out that TDCC is an assiciation of gastroenteroligists with whom my former doctor is now associated. I picked Dr. Siddiqui after viewing a video where he explains his expertise. I was satisfied, but still did not know what to expect.After consulting with Dr. Siddiqui I became more confident nt that he can provide excellent services, and come to a resolution of my issues.I will be having some diagnostic procedures this week, and the TDDC center called me yesterday to go over the preparations and my medical history one mire time. The nurse took her time, and also gave me more confidence and comfort in my choice of a new doctor and facility.I am more than hopeful that the procedure will go well.

I had a good experience getting my procedure but my husband needed to go in for colonoscopy and they called on Friday & informed him that facility was out of network even after I told them which facility was in network. They said he might be able to still go in Monday but they would call back. Thus was Friday late afternoon & procedure was to be preformed Monday mourning. Needless to say my husband wasnt going to do prep for a maybe/chance. They need to get better office schedulers insurance verification bc this was very inconvenient. My husband decided not to have elective preventative procedure.

Very professional and great surgeon, I took my father to doctor Siddiqui for Double Balloon Enteroscopy and everything was great with no problem at all, his staff are the best and they put everything together with no time specially Jill Hamburg helped us a lot . they are very friendly and nice people and me and my father love to see them again.my dad had the same surgery before with another doctor but he said Doctor Siddiqui did it with no pain and much better result.

I found Dr Siddiqui and his associate Jill to be very informative and knowledgeable. They never rushed me and answered all my questions. They were on top of my health situation and when he was unable to get a definitive diagnosis he quickly scheduled me with a more intense specialist to continue working the problem up.
