Great place! It’s small inside and they have a toy shop in front, so expect your little ones to be persuasive… but nice hair cuts and super friendly staff!

3 year old daughter went for 1st haircut. Vinh was great with her, despite it being a potentially stressful experience. The TVs are helpful too. Everything was great.

My wife and I brought our 11month old son for his first haircut. He saw Vinh and she was absolutely amazing. Super patient, knew what to do to distract him to give the best haircut. Would recommend this place for anyone trying to take their baby for there first haircut. Got a cute photo, lock of his hair, certificate, and a balloon.

This is a great place for kids for sure. They have fun seats for them, TVs with kid shows, and so much more. Be sure to schedule an appointment it makes it much easier. You can walk in but you might be sitting a while waiting for an opening.

Took my kids for their first haircuts here when they turned 2. They are truly professionals! The boys enjoyed their balloons on the way out too.

This place is for common hair cuts, traditional, no designs, or urban styles. But very clean and positive energy!

Took my 1 year old and 3 year old for a haircut in cedar park. Vinh cut my 1 yr olds hair she was amazing, she was patient and did really well with him.The lady who cut my 3yr olds hair ( Kim I think) was horrible, she was so rude towards my daughter and had no patience at all, she kept complaining under her breath saying “omg” and would aggressively move my daughters hand away and she rushed the whole appt. She should not be working with kids.

Vinh is the best here. My kids love her, my daughter always feels special with the attention and care she gets from Vinh. The place is well kept and they have lots of games and a tv at every chair. Kids can get their nails done too. My kids really feel like they’ve had a special treat when we come to the salon.

Vinh was amazing!! She was recommended to us by family and we couldnt be happier. It has been very difficult to get my sons haircut bc he is always so fussy (he has tubes in his ears and hates the sound of clippers) , Vinh made him comfortable and used scissors as much as possible. She did my daughters hair and nails and looked great! Son - 3 Daughter - 5 for anyone wondering.

Unfriendly staffLast time it was good experience.Second time it was not, they didn’t provide catalog, the lady was too tired I guess and seem interested in doing proper hair cut, left uneven hair and we had do it again after reaching home. Not good for a $26 haircut.Wont go back or recommend to anyone.

My boys (age 6 and 2) really like coming to Sharkeys for haircuts. I adore their stylist DJ. She is very good with the kids, does good looking haircuts, and is easy to talk to. My kids can be a little wild and she goes with the flow and gets them happy and contained.I think the value of their service is great and we will continue to come here for haircuts.

We did a walking with a first time haircut on a 2 year old. The staff were very accommodating and did a great job with a squirmy baby!

I was really nervous about my child’s first haircut. I booked the appointment with ease. When we showed up, we were greeted by the friendly staff. They were amazing with my son. They gave him a great cut. We got the first haircut package. For the price, we received a certificate of first haircut, a small bag which contains his clippings and a photo. We will definitely go again.

I previously went to pigtails and crew cuts. The stylist doing my 2 year old hair was not that pleasant to my little guy. So I wanted to try a new place out. I loved sharkeys and so did my little guy. The stylist was so patient and sweet with Bram. My daughter got her nails painted and we loved that it was such a fun place for kiddos.

My son is 9 and, not surprisingly, but doesnt really enjoy getting his hair cut. This place rocks for kids! My son was completely engaged the whole time because the stylist he had is amazing working with children. They have handheld gaming systems for kids to play with and movies available while other kids are waiting. In todays world of gamers, this is the perfect place to bring your child for a haircut. They have a vast selection of styling products and shampoo/conditioner designed for children. They also have a rewards punch card for a free haircut. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Theyre easy to book with. This is my go-to place for my son. I think children of all ages would love coming here.

My son hates hair cuts and tends to cry the whole time when he gets his hair cut, I emailed them and they made arrangements for us to come in a little bit before they opened which was amazing of them. Vinh was so patient with my son and made him feel comfortable, I love the TV set ups that they have up for distractions as well as offering the kids a ballon at the end. My only complaint would have to be on how pricey the hair cut was, but you get what you pay for and it was worth it. We’ll be back because of Vinh!

Sharkeys Cuts for Kids in Cedar Park did such a great job on my 3-year olds hair! I *think* our hairstylist was DJ. She was so sweet! They shampooed my daughters long curly hair, did a great job cutting it, painted her nails, let her pick out a ring, hair clip, balloon, and lollipop! We went on a Thursday for Toddler Thursday, and the price for her (because shes three and under) was $16.95 (everything included)! Not only a great value, but they were so wonderful with my daughter (who has a hard time staying still and is VERY talkative)! And as a busy working mom, one of the best parts was that I could make her appointment online! No waiting around with an impatient toddler! I HIGHLY recommend!

We went their yesterday and I think woman who did the haircut for my son is not a real barber and did awful haircut for my son.I showed her a photo and what she did is terrible .i told her i want hard line but look what she did for hard line.i post the photo that i want and my sons photo to see what she did.I paid 21.95 for haircut plus tip.

We had an appointment with Gina to cut my childs hair. She was phenomenal and really sweet with the baby. She blew him bubbles and chatted with him so he would feel comfortable. His little cut looked so cute on him. We will definitely be going back to her and recommend her to everyone!

Good cut. She did what I asked, but its expensive. I think its competitive with other kids haircut places, but they all charge too much.

Today was my sons second visit here. Truthfully, we only returned because its within 10 minutes of our home. The receptionist never says hi or smiles when we enter. Today I stood at the front desk, in front of her, for about three minutes before actually being acknowledged by a stylist instead.My son is 17 months so of course hes likely to cry. He did a bit today and the lady who cut his hair tried briefly to cheer him up but then went back to cutting his hair. The way she kept holding his head down really got under my skin. If youre not going to be patient enough to work with him, dont do kids haircuts. His haircut looks ok, but definitely not worth the $21.95 price before tip. Theyre was no brush off of the hair that was stuck to his face and ears either and no styling product.I dont think well return.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my Pamela who has for years now done an awesome job with our sons hair, even back during his unruly toddler days. She is always so sweet and skilled with his wiggly little head! I dont want to tell you too much about Ms. Pamela, because then I wont be able to schedule with her when I need to ;)I will say my only reason for not giving 5 stars, and I hope the business owner reads this, is that their phone responses are horrendous! It never fails that I call to make a simple appointment, and Im asked to hold for more than 10 minutes at a time, before they inevitably remember they left someone on hold and then just pick it up to hang it up because Im certain they assume Ive given up and hung up myself. Seriously, this happens just like this every time I call to schedule. Fix that and this place is a 5 star all the way!

Took our twins over there this past weekend (boy + girl, age 5) and had DJ as the stylist. Despite being busy with kiddos coming back from spring break, the staff were kind and courteous as always.Dont want to be over top about our experience with DJ but she is an all around great professional that listens first and helps find what you are looking for... When it comes to.little boys vs little girls, my son.loves the chance to play video games, my daughter digs getting her nails done too. Both always leave with a lollipop, a balloon and are always happy or in cloud 9.Plus for young dads with a retreating hair line, I have found d DJ. To be a a wealth of knowledge; loves to share tips, tricks and basics that no one thought to teach us.Havent worked with anyone else us at this.place but its solid and something we look forward to.

My kids love this place! They have big power wheels mounted as the chairs for the younger kids, and TVs with popular kids shows to help distract them.The staff is always super friendly and patient with the kids, and chat and play with them to keep them calm during the cuts.

Tried this place out today with my daughter who is 2 years old... not much hair to cut a simple trim. The receptionist was not very welcoming and the lady who cut her hair was not very patient which means she was cutting while my daughter was squirming around causing it to not be an even cut. She also got the comb stuck in her earring because she didnt use her finger as a barrier. Then on top of that $25.00!!!! Holy cow! Out rageous! Not impressed and will not be returning.

My son HAD long hair. He asked for a hair cut so we went in and were looking at the boy cuts in a book. We settled on a shoulder length cut, showed it to the stylest, she appeared to understand. She got down to our sons level talked to him a bit I heard her call him her even though we showed her a boys cut so I corrected her and said him they went to wash his hair. I told my husband about her calling him her. He wanted to sit in the firetruck, she tried to make him sit in the pink car. I told her *he* would prefer to sit in the fire truck. My husband at some point mentioned BOY loudly as well. The stylest started giving our son a bob haircut. Not the boys cut we picked from the book. Not shoulder length. Chin length. So. Girls cut. We repeatedly told her he was a boy. Picked a boy cut and yet she decided to give him whatever cut she wanted. Cut it way shorter than he wanted. Thankfully he didnt really realize what she had done. She started layering it and now its no where near what he asked for. Its not a terrible haircut. If you are okay with going in with a head full of hair and leaving with practically nothing. This is the place for you. If you are okay with going to a salon and asking for a style and getting nothing that you asked for, this is the place for you. If you are okay asking for a boys haircut and getting a girls haircut or vice versa or being called she when repeatedly telling someone youre a boy. This is the place for you.

Amazing! Took our 16 month old for his first haircut and the owner scheduled our appointment and really took care of us and eased a first time mom. Staff was wonderful entertaining my son when he fussed...I will recommend this place to anyone and will be definitely be a life long customer!

I tried this place upon suggestion by my stylist when my 2 year old baby wouldnt sit still in his seat. Here, they have seating shaped like a fire truck, a police car (and another more girly themed vehicle that I cant describe off the top of my head). My son was acting very clingy today and was easily upset by being sat down...But have no fear, this place is prepared with just about everything you could ever hope for! Screens with videos or movies being played, books for several reading levels, even little lolipops for your child to distract themself with.Better yet, the stylist was fast and able to trim my sons hair between his wiggling and need to hug me. Hes never looked so handsome before!Absolutely try this place if your child has trouble sitting still or has trouble leaving your side. You wont be disappointed.

We LOVE Sharkeys! Vinh and Amy are both great--both in terms of hair cut and the way they treat the kiddos. I havent even thought about taking my daughter anywhere else since I found Sharkeys a couple of years ago. Since that time, they have gone under new management. The shop is cute and CLEAN! Highly recommended.

This weekend my 3 year old had the most perfectly adorable, girliest princess party ever! She and her besties were pampered with updos, nails and princess costumes. They did a craft, sang karaoke, and strutted their stuff on the run way! The party was complete with princess goody bags, a keepsake picture and a princess certificate! Jenna was a dream to work with. Her staff made this party effortless and everyone had a blast! Thank you!!

Worst hair cut I ever seen! They know how to entertain kids. But skill on hair cut is the worst!

We went here for my daughters very first hair cut. I specifically asked for them to cut a lock of hair from the back so I could keep a curl in her baby book. Instead, the stylist just cut it and when I again asked her to wait and explained what I wanted she just scooped up a tangled wad of already cut pieces and handed it to me. Not okay. She was also needlessly impatient and rough.

Pamela at Sharkeys is worth her weight in gold. Shes always so sweet to my son, attentive and gives a WONDERFUL haircut. I wouldnt go to anyone else!

Vihn is the Best!

Took my girls in for bang trims on Saturday. Signed in, front desk staff was nice, let them know I just needed bang trims for each of my girls. Went to stand and wait at the back of the salon as the waiting area was full. Within a few minutes an employee came up and asked my older daughter (age 4) if she wanted to get her nails painted. As the website lists a mini-cure as part of the Bang Trims cost, I didnt think anything of it. As my daughter is sitting down and selecting colors, I hear someone yell from the front of the store, No, no nails, it is just a bang trim. There isnt nail painting with that. The employee says, Oh and then tells me it will be $8 to do the nail painting she has already offered my child. I point out the web information on the trim being part of the cost, but say ok, and begin trying to explain to my daughter that she cant get her nails painted as the employee gets up and goes up front. The owner/manager then comes back with a brochure and tells me that her brochure doesnt list it as included, and a bang trim is just the trim and a clip. I politely let her know that is fine. And she walks away. I see my husband bristle as she walks away, and later learned that the manager had given him an exaggerated eye roll as she walked back to the front. Both girls got their bang trims... both trims are crooked, although that was not evident until their hair dried after we left the salon. Neither girl got a clip. My two year old didnt care but my four year old asked about it, as I had told her that instead of her nails painted she would get a clip and she was appeased by that. When I asked the stylist, she gave me a weird look and told me that wasnt included. Several pieces of advice I would give your staff: 1. Please do not offer something to a child and then say oops, sorry you cant have that. Kids dont understand, and it causes havoc for all involved. 2. If you see your employee making a mistake, dont yell through the whole busy salon. It is unprofessional, and I found it to be a bit embarrassing. 3. When your customer politely points out that the website says something different so perhaps they may want to correct that, just listen. 4. When your customer doesnt argue with you and simply agrees and says ok that is fine, dont roll your eyes at other customers and be petty. 5. If you do offer a special something with a cut, make sure your stylists know it. It was a shame my daughter had to be disappointed twice in this one visit over lack of training or whatever of your staff. 6. Take your time to make sure the service you are providing is right and of good quality. I have used your salon before for dance recital hairstyles and I purchase products from you. My youngest has her hair cut there a few times, and while it wasnt perfect, I gave you the benefit of the doubt as she is a wiggly toddler. But this time, I was just highly disappointed. I will not be returning.

Walked in at 4:30 and was told we couldn’t get my daughters haircut because they close at 5. My daughter and my money went elsewhere.

Save yourself the time and frustration and just go to Pigtails and Crewcuts.

They do an OK job, but the price has increased dramatically. Fortunately my kids have gotten older so the appeal of sitting in a police car has diminished; we wont be back. Theres a reason prices no longer appear on their website.
