I visited this location and July 1, 2021 and was warmly greeted by libby who asked me if I needed help finding anything because I was looking extremely lost. I asked her the location of what I was looking for and then I asked her opinion on what eyeliner she recommended for someone who normally uses a felt tip applicator and she suggested a personal preference and as soon as I got home and used it I was super impressed with her choice she is very educated in her craft and if you want and honest opinion on make up quality go to libby for sure. I didn’t see all the girls there but she definitely has some of the best make up techniques that I’ve seen an ULTA employee use on themselves.

I love ULTA Beauty! This one is very big with a great selection. However, most of the very young staff were snooty and acted like it was a hassle to help me. Remember young ladies, you too will end up old and wrinkled, so be nice to your elders! ;)

Store is disorganized and hard to find items. I also dont need a 20 year old giving me a hassle about a $6 pickup that was accidentally put in my husbands name, when my ID matches the last name and address, and it was my card that paid for it.

I love this store and all it offers. I am usually distracted with the various displays that line the store. There is so much to look at and the employees are very helpful. I also like that the employees are understanding about a shopper not always wanting help. The sales are a great time to grab favorites or something new.

My first time being at an Ulta Beauty! The bright lights bothered me for a while, but I over came that! Good experience since my move to Indianapolis 3 weeks ago. I loved the girl with the Grey contacts at the check out. She was absolutely stunning and gorgeous.But I would love to work at Ulta!

Showed a pic of how I wanted my hair cut & she completely chopped it off. After the initial shock wore off, I called to complain & was told to come in and get a refund. I came in to get my refund but the salon manager wasn’t in then was told it was too late to get my refund. That I was supposed to of come back within a week to get my refund. Well the salon manager didn’t tell me that when I spoke to her on the phone. I don’t live in Carmel otherwise if I’d known not, I would of came in sooner. Anyways, then I was told the manager would call me back & she never did. No one ever called me back. I never got my refund 😕

Never have I had a poor experience here! I come here as a regular for any hair care treatment and/or skin services. Mariah is phenomenal! She is very talented, and listens to what I would like, then does an outstanding job. The workers in the store are all so kind, and have treated me so well! I have had my fair share of rude workers from other Ulta stores, but at this location I have nothing, but praise to give!

Love this location. Each representative is warm, knowledgeable and helpful. Turns out that my favorite BB Cream is discontinued, so 3 different team members worked (online searching, tone matching, testers) to help me identify a comparable replacement. Excellent customer care!

Of course! I love Ulta. But this was a little bit of a bad time to go being right after Christmas. And I have to say. Only one girl was at the checkout. And then when the second check out girl came. Her name was Lindsey. Obviously distressed she could not fake her smile and her service-oriented attitude. Was completely lacking. I felt like I was interrupting her day. And then to add to it. All she did was complain about the part of her nail that peeled off from her manicure cure. Poor baby. Maybe she needs to go to India and live on $0.75 a day and then shell appreciate getting her gel manicure

Went to the salon the other day with a purple disaster on my head needing some major TLC. My stylist Alissa (Angela😂) was not only amazing but so fun to talk too. She did a better job then I could have imagined! My hair went from purple and fried with scary ends to chocolate brown and it feels great. I highly recommend booking with her next time your hair needs an upgrade. I will most definitely be returning.

One of the workers was very rude today. I asked her a question and she replied in a very rude way, and then proceeded to answer another question with attitude. I was not pleased at all with the service. I don’t care if you’re about to leave because your shift is almost over, you still treat customers with respect

Worst makeup shopping experience ever! Some girl at the Clinique counter has actually first hide one of their makeup remover and then come to us to ask us to buy the product if we want to try on it one more time! I was going to buy some lipsticks and the makeup remover, but no thank you! I would rather buy it online!

I am not sure what is going on with ULTA today, maybe its just Monday, but I have issues when I walk into a store to spend money and I am not greeted. I walked over to Uban Decay spent some time looking for the product I wanted. Walked over to the register and I had to ask if greeting was no longer a normal practice. The young lady at the register was very friendly, apologize as she stated that is not normal practice. We looked the the two ladies who were standing by the front door having a non work related conversation and never acknowledged anyone. If I wasnt in a hurry I totally would have asked to speak with the manager. Guess I need to get a little more friendly with Sephora.

I have never had a bad experience at any Ulta I have gone to before. That was until today. I spend the extra at Ulta because I have always had great service, and feel confident in my purchases. However, I will never return to this location due to my experience this evening. My poor review is mostly due to one particular worker. If you are going to work in a make up store, you had best know how to color match foundation, and be able to answer questions regarding coverage types. I have come to expect that due to the awesome service I have gotten in Noblesville and Kokomo. This worker (dont want to put her name here, I am not that cruel) was quick to be done and give me a color that she herself said she wasnt even sure was right. She seemed annoyed that I asked to try a different color since the first one was not quite right. Then she recommended a concealer and left. Someone else helped me at that point and gave me some good tips for a dupe. She however, passed me off to yet another worker. She didnt really ask me what type of coverage I needed, so she tried to sell me on a line that seemed great, but not really for my skin type. She found my shade, however they didnt have anything in stock for my shade, so I couldnt even buy it then (which it happens, I get it). Then at one point I realized that several workers were staring at me and acting odd giving me weird looks. I thought maybe it had to do with a really obnoxious customer that I had actually seen at a previous store making a scene, so was kinda chuckling to myself about that...so I moved on to look at something else. Finally one of them came up to me and told me she was sorry but they were closing. I felt terrible! I didnt even realize what time it was and would have 100% left if they had announced it or at least told me then when they were all staring at me! I have worked retail and absolutely loathed the last minute shoppers, so I never like to linger. Not watching my time was partially my fault so I gave 2 stars in review. I should have just left then and called it a loss. I go to check out and it is the one I had the struggle with in the beginning. Tried to make odd conversation and she wanted nothing to do with it. As she is ringing it up she is tossing them in there clinking the glass together and says Oh...that sounds and looks bad...but its not. Oh...okay...anyways I do my Ulta Card, and at any other store they tell me Hey look, you have points! Want to use them? And I did this time because I bought a little extra knowing I had points. I wait...and nothing...so I had to scan my card again and as I am doing that she tells me I earned a free product but she couldnt find it so she told me to come in back Tuesday...Okay...I then ask Can I use my points on my purchase (cause I got distracted with the whole come back Tuesday thing) and she says Oh...well its kinda too late for that now. Greeeaattt...So now I am going to have to make a second trip into another store to make returns so I can use my points and hopefully get the free product I was due. I accidentally hit the email button instead of receipt button, so hopefully that shows up in my email soon. So, apparently I have been spoiled by the other locations, which has made my expectations super high apparently, but isnt that what stores are aiming for?

One of my favorite places to shop. However, I rarely go to this location if its the only thing Im going there for. Its in an extremely busy area. I find if I go in behind the store, its easier to get around than to go through the parking lot.

I took my wife in now because of on-going special offers. One was if you spent $30 on Redken products, you would get a specific product for free. She bought the Redken & picked up the free Redken product too. At the register, the free product rang up at full price. Cashier said she wasnt aware of an offer so she called for help. She relayed to us that the specific free product was a smaller size than the one we had. Told her there was no smaller size on the shelf. She told us they had run out of the smaller size. She then said they had not received any of the smaller size. I wanted to ask Which statement was true? And then wanted to ask So they ran the ads and sent all the placards advising of the free item which were displayed all around the Redken products but they didnt send the product that was supposed to be free? Didnt ask either. The figured they would offer the larger item for a discounted price equal to the price of the larger one minus the price of the smaller (free one) but they did not. We ultimately didnt buy any Redken products but paid for other things and left.

Ulta Beauty at this location provided terrible first-time customer experience. They kept calling to confirm appointment over and over again. They did not help me to accomplish my goal to clean up the white heads in this facial appointment. They made my skin worse than it was before. The whole experience was not relaxing as the staff kept asking me questions during the entire appointment about my previous facial experience, cleaning routine, the products I have been using, etc. The staff had a harsh blaming tone about all the beauty supplies I had used and the facial appointment I had in the past. They charged me extra without advanced notice and they did not explain the charge properly. The staff offered nothing to clean up my messed-up eye make-up at the end but just asked me to do it myself. Their website really did not explain their services well to first-time customers. The worst is that the staff reprimanded me for using their website to book the appointment instead of calling them directly. She even said that she did not know what their company website stated. When I felt that I wanted to run out of this store as soon as possible at the end, I knew that I had the worst experience comparing with all my past personal service appointments. If you want a relaxing and effective facial appointment, dont go to Ulta.

Crystal I believe her name is the manager deserves a raise!!! Seriously this is the third time my blow dryer had issues... The first time castleton ulta did nothing for me.... Second time was within thirty days and I took it to the Carmel store because I was closer and they were so kind .... Third time I go to castleton they tell me there is nothing they can do for me and I need to talk to hot tools... Then I called Carmel and the manager was so kind she explained to me how to fix the issue and better maintain my blow dryer and if it still didnt work to come in and they would exchange. Crystal knows great customer service and is a great manager! Thank you. !!!! It works great now by the way :)

After several months, and several different hair stylist, I have finally found one that was able to recreate the look I have been wanting! I have very dark hair and have been trying to accomplish a balayage look with an ash blonde fade. Each attempt made has been good, but the blonde tends to be more brass appeal than ash appeal. Except this last attempt, after showing her a few pictures, LINDSAY was able to give me that ash blonde balayage that I have been yearning for! She did an awesome job with not only the color, but with the whole experience! If you are looking to make drastic color changes, or try something new, I highly recommend Lindsay, she knows what she is doing and she is one to be trusted! Thanks again Lindsay!

My first experience with Ulta was terrible. I went there the day of my wedding to get my makeup done. Had a picture in hand of how i wanted it done. She seemed pretty confident that she knew what she was doing. Sometime during the session, she told me to take a look at what was done ao far. I was not pleased with how it looked & asked her to make a few changes. She did and it looked worse. She asked for some assistance & after that it looked somewhat better. All she had to do was match my other eye. It looked awful. i was crying & was very disappointed. I could have done a more professional job myself with walmart makeup. I walked out, with tears and makeup running down my face on my wedding day. Thankfully, with the help of my bridesmaids, i was able to get my makeup done in half the time.
