I have been waxing for 15 years and NEVER experienced anything quite like this before. There is a level system, which no one ever told me about until after I had the worst wax of my life. Apparently, my aesthetician was somewhat inexperienced. I received a Brazilian, lip, brow, and nose wax. Unfortunately, the aesthetician missed so much hair, I felt completely ripped off (not in a good way). I had wax in between my bottom cheeks and all over my privates. I contacted the facility and the assistant manager, Nicole was extremely sweet and helpful. I had a touch up wax but unfortunately, the experience was terrible and nothing could save it.WARNING:::They have you strip down while they are in the room, butterfly position, while they are waxing EVERYTHING. This is extremely unhygienic as the aesthetician who did the touch up kept going back from my privates to my face!

Professional and great advice for aftercare. Service took about 30 minutes from start to finish.

The receptionist are always rude/ shrude, like they are in a hurry. Everyone of them i have encountered at this facility. The wax ladies are friendly and almost do their job well but if there is any hair left, you get rescheduled to come in for free. Well ofcourse it should be free. Why cant they just do it right that time, why another day.? Anyway, agreed, but same thing can be explained politely.

I’m giving this 2 stars because my first experience was amazing. I had my first Brazilian back in September and it was a great experience. Today, not so much. I was more sore than normal today and when I got home I noticed that I was covered in blue and black bruises in some pretty sensitive areas... I also noticed during the appointment that she wasn’t pulling my skin tight (sometimes she didn’t hold her hand down at all) when she was about pull the wax strip. I’m assuming this is why I’m left with bruising. Not a pleasant experience

Lauren is the best at her job! I went to her throughout my entire pregnancy and she talked me into buying a wax pass for a year! I have been to several waxers and she is the most down to earth one and makes you feel at ease. She won’t sugar coat anything and she will make sure you are satisfied before you leave. Go to her and you won’t be disappointed!

Love this place! Patricia is fabulous. The wax is high quality (hallelujah) and workers are lightning fast and do great work. No awkwardness and no discomfort...aside from hair follicles getting destroyed lol

This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. I was not going to write this review because I figured I would speak with the manager that would be good enough. The unprofessionalism of my service, but the managers attitude helped me to understand why the service there is horrible. The work of the team reflects leadership. So I need to let everyone know to stay away from Lauren. When getting a Brazilian wax, you obviously dont know what youre doing if you go over the same spot 4 times. Obviously, if you are missing hairs, maybe you need to slow down so you can actually pay attention to what you are doing. You are covering very delicate areas when getting a Brazilian wax so its very important to go to someone who cares about being thorough. I had to stop her from going over the same section the fourth time, and after that her attitude was bad and she was done with me. She had done other areas for me as well, but was just in a hurry to get me out. It is obvious that they have a great clips mentality at the European wax center... fast and quick... quality of the work does not matter. When I asked her if she had something to help clear off the wax residue, she told me a shower would help. I have been getting waxing for more than 11 years, that was the first time anyone has ever told me to go home to take a shower to get rid of the residue. This was also the first time that I have ever had to go home and shower because I could feel the wax constantly sticking to my clothes. I will never go back to that location again. I understand that the European wax center is cheaper, that does not always mean that you are going to get a better job done someplace more expensive. However, I definitely expect a higher level of professionalism from the staff and management. I was not looking for a refund, but a simple apology for the experience would have been nice. Maybe if she would have said I will speak to her about being more careful would have been good enough. I was compelled to leave this review for a reason. It will not surprise me if this place ends up being hit with a lawsuit. They should not be doing Brazilian waxing.

I’ve been coming to this location for over 5 years (i think?) even though there is now one way closer to my house. A while back the girl I was booking with left the company and I wasn’t sure if I would continue going there HOWEVER Lauren was the person they rebooked me with and it has been even better than before! She not only does an amazing job but it’s like going to see your friend... she’s quick and efficient and you have someone to chat with the entire time which makes the whole experience feel more comfortable! I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

My teenage daughter loves this place, however when I called to inquire about a service charge on our joint credit card the person was very rude. She spoke extremely fast and failed to pause to allow me to absorb numbers, and respond with clarifying questions. Slow down people, no one is out to get you I was just inquiring and Im not cancelling anything. Perhaps she was young but this a great learning opportunity for management to share some coaching/feedback. 6/11/18 at 4:00 PM

This is the most comfortable wax that you can imagine. What makes this service unique is that the technique is very fast and the cost is very affordable. A Brazilian takes 15 minutes and costs $42. Its the best!!

Unprofessional, unethically, bunch of i.. working here including mansger.Didnt register my appointment and were openly laughing, when brought to mananers attention, his response was that he couldnt do anything.Openly laughing, when asked if it was right tjing to do, they said NO, didnt even try to deny they were laughing, spent a lit of money here, not anymore, hope they run out customers which they will eventually, ppl like that shouldnt be provided any sercvice.

Molly has been my wax specialist since I first started getting waxed- she is excellent! They answer your questions and make you feel comfortable. I often chat throughout to help with nerves, and she has always been kind and allowed me to do so. EWC is quick but extremely efficent. Its a real win-win! Reception has been great as well. I have a pretty busy scheudle and have had to call last minute to change my appointment to which they have always been kind and accomodating! I use their product Paradise Strut to help in between my waxes and its a great product they support. I love EWC!

Very friendly and makes you as comfortable as you can. I was terrified and nervous but I wanted to get a Brazilian and they made it possible. I get them regularly now! I went a few other places ti try them out just because they offer half off of your first visit, but I will never go anywhere else again. They have a special wax they use that doesnt attach to the skin, just the hairs. It is a dark blue color. Wish they would sell it!

I’ve been going to EWC since I was 16. So almost 10 years. When my favorite employee left I hopped around (mostly at the 86th street location) trying to find someone as quick and as painless as her. About 3 months ago I called up and asked for the best and most experienced waxer they had. Needless to say I was getting waxed by Lauren just hours after, and I LOVED it. From how she listened to my concerns, and dealt with my whining- she really is the best. I will continue to go back as long as she is there. I will also say the front desk gals are kind and quick to help you with rescheduling, buying passes/packages, and finding the best EWC product/tools you might need.

If I could I would a 0 star!!’This place does not keep their word had us drives about 45 in rush hour traffic and then could not complete service and was scheduled at different location and they called today say can’t do today. Scheduled to travel first thing in the morning and all they can say is oh SORRY!! Not with this one DONE!!! U all can continue going to this place where they want your money but can not complete your service. Dishonest and disrespectful!!

I’m not a fan. I went my first time, and it was the most painful wax (Brazilian) I’ve received before. Then I went home and finally had time to check it out and lots of hairs still remained. It just didn’t look good. So I decided to try their place again, nearly a year later, as they are very affordable. This time was not nearly as painful (it was about the same as other places), but I was still unimpressed with the splotches of hair left behind. The staff is all friendly, they just don’t necessarily take measures to make you more comfortable, which may just be a company policy issue.Would recommend Melissa at The Waxing Spot as an alternative, she is amazing

Dont get your eyebrows waxed here. I went in and asked the lady to clean them up but not to thin them or mess with the shape and ended up with a chunk in my top right eyebrow missing and random sections thinner than the other. Awful. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I called last minute and they had an opening on a Friday afternoon. Katie (I think she spells it differently) was very nice, talkative and didn’t make me feel like she was just waxing my intimate area. She was quick, efficient and polite. Loved the fact that she laid my wax thin vs thick which is how most waxers do which I don’t like as I have very fine hair. Once done with the wax she tweezed efficiently and informed me to exfoliate more. Only thing that sucked was there system was down that day and couldn’t take my card they had to write it down and charge it later but overall for my first time being at that location I was impressed.... smaller than the one on 86th where I normally go but overall good...

I’ve been coming here for at least a year now. But not anymore. Their front desk girl is really rude ( one with glasses and dark curly hair) I wish I knew her name. She didn’t allow me to have appointment because it was just 10 mins past my appointment time. I understand their policy but it’s extremely rude when I’m already in their facility. She didn’t even try to ask the waxer if she would take me. Also, the website says they close at 6 pm but according to her they were closing then which was 5 pm. Extremely rude and worst customer service! They just lost a client.
