From start to finish, my experience exceeded my expectations. I was met warmly upon entering, and COVID precautions/sterilization procedures are fully enforced. The Staff and Doctor were very friendly and took care of my needs; Pam helped me to pick out a great pair of frames. Overall great service, and will definitely recommend to others.

Finally got insurance through my job. And pearl vision was on of the ones that took my insurance. I’m so glad and happy that I went to this location. The people that work there are amazing. So nice friendly. Make me feel welcome and I just can’t say enough about this. I can wait to go get my glasses.There ready but with my work schedule I can’t get them till Saturday

I had a great experience from start to finish. All of the staff there is very warm and professional. They have safety measures in place prior to entering the actual office, they clean all of the equipment as well as the chairs after each patient. I received great feedback with choosing glasses but they dont hover. The physician is very knowledgable and explain everything he is doing. They also have a great variety of glasses. I felt very comfortable and found a great pair of glasses that I know I will love.

I was very pleased with my Pearle Vision experience! They were able to get me a same day eye exam and at a very reasonable price. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, they were very efficient. All surfaces were disinfected in my presence and Dr. Jalal was extremely professional and pleasant.

I felt blindsided by the cost, I have no insurance and they wanted over 900.00 for two pair of glasses also I was told the exam was 75.00 and they took a picture of my eyes and then told me they were charging separately for that without informing me first. Also I am trying to absorb the info of the cost, all the while sitting in front of a sign that would allow me to make payments and not once was that mentioned as an option to me. I was less than impressed. Exam was professional not impressed with the costs, going elsewhere to fill RX.

The doctor and exam were fine but their POLICY for Covid is RIDICULOUS, INCONVENIENT and makes NO sense. They only allow 2 family members in at a time. I have 3 teenagers who need glasses. They wont allow us all to come in to pick out glasses IN CASE there are walk ins who need to pick things up.... so I asked what was the number of people allowed in the store. 10 she told me. There were NEVER 10 people in the store while we were there, but my two teenage kids had to sit in the car, and not pick out glasses because I was in there with my son and only 2 family members allowed. It makes NO SENSE!!! If there are 10 individuals or 10 family members who need glasses, wouldnt the 11th person at the door have to wait either way?!?! You have to make an appointment anyway so what are the chances more than 10 people are in that store at one time for any length of time?!? People picking up should wait at the door if absolutely necessary- even that would be unnecessary. Go to Costco or any other eye doctor and you can take your family all in.

Very nice facility. The man who check me in was very kind and accommodating -sanitized equipment in front of me. The woman who checked me out was very kind. Unfortunately while I was there I saw an employee WITHOUT A MASK in the patient common area speaking to the office manager. Also the Doctor I saw only had the top string of his mask tied. With the pandemic I would recommend waiting to have your appointment.

I just want to say my experience with pearl vision was outstanding. I’ve never had an eye exam in my adult life, I changed careers and now work in front of a computer all day. I made the realization my eyes are garbage, and but the fine people at this location not only made me comfortable doing a new thing, but were able to really make getting glasses kind of fun which as far as I’m concerned is worth 5 stars. I’d like to put a side note in that before trying pearl I had decided to try Direct Optical of canton as I had heard other direct opticals were great. The one in canton is not, they were all incredibly rude, tried to tell me they didn’t take VSP insurance (this is not true they do) and then when I tried to change my appointment they told me even changing it several days in advance I was to be charged 40$! To change an appointment! As a first time guest! Go to Pearl, leave happy.

The experienced with the Tech guy and the Doctor itself are good and both are very pleasant. But there was a white thin lady that met me at the door and took my infos who from meeting me at the door to get my temperature to getting my infos was not very pleasant at all and not even smiling. I don’t know maybe she was having a bad day (I hope). And when I was browsing through the glasses she came to me and told me that whatever glasses I touched needs to go to the tray (due to covid) which I was not informed in the very first place. She could have approached me in a nice way but she was abrupt! I hate to think that it was because of my race... other than my experienced with her, everything else is good.

An amazingly poor overall customer experience. First, the positives. A young man that does the prep work was outstanding. The Black young lady that helped with paperwork was good. This is about where it stops.My wife, daughter and I all got exams in the last week. The optometrist is flat out rude and abusive, challenging both my wife and my daughter with “Why are you here?” when he realized the we were getting an eye exam that was covered by insurance, but not necessarily buying glasses. I actually priced glasses from Pearls Vision: $759.84 — with all insurance discounts - and forced into a “designer” frame. Costco: $229.98. Same specifications but no “Designer” frame - and no insurance discount.Also as part of the process I got pictures taken of my eye - then the optometrist informs me that these are not covered by insurance but for $39 he can assess them. I bought the assessment and asked what he learned from them. “Oh, they were ok”. Wow. Really glad that I got talked into this.Bottom line is that this bitter old guy is pushing a failed business model for overpriced glasses.You have to be crazy to buy glasses here, and you have to put up with a lot of abuse just to get an exam

Dr. Hagans exam is thorough. He listens when you talk. The pre-exam, done by Tanya (sp?) Was done very efficiently. Tanya is always a tremendous help choosing frames. Pearle followed covid guidelines. They cleaned every frame I touched. Everyone wore masks. I could take mine off when trying frames. Only a couple people in store at once.

Appointment scheduled a year ago, got a text on 8/19, clicked the link in the text and confirmed the appointment online. Got another text yesterday, confirmed the appointment again replying to the text. Went today I was told that “your appointment is canceled because we couldn’t reach you by phone and your voicemail is not set up”. A year ago I did LASIK somewhere else and couldn’t see near. They said I needed bi-focal glasses and spent nearly $300. Few days later my eye sight improved by itself, LASIK dr said it was normal to be near-sighted temporarily and could have bought some bi-focal glasses for $10. Not saying what happened was deliberate, but don’t think they strive for giving their customer good experience.

Don’t like this place and will never return for services here:1. Everything they sell here is waaay overpriced. When they advertise a “sale” the prices are then only at the level of what you should be paying for frames or contacts.2. The staff have obviously been instructed by corporate to withhold your eyeglasses/contact lenses RX from you unless you explicitly request a copy of it. Under law you are entitled to your own RX, since it belongs to you. Many other optical retailers actually provide your RX to you with your bill upon checkout. Not here. They obviously want to keep your RX captive here so you are forced to buy their over-priced products. I find this policy almost deceptive.3. I had to “special order” several products as they were not in stock. Fine, no worries. I was told I’d be contacted by phone when items were ready for pickup. After 2+ weeks of waiting, I called the store to find the items had been delivered and sitting at the location. “Oh, we couldn’t find your phone number” they claimed. My phone number was on the patient info sheet, the receipt and other documentation I provided. Additionally, they had my email address.My advice, go elsewhere to obtain eye exams and needed eyewear devices. The vibe here is almost as if Pearle Vision really does not want to engage in the transaction of business.

Been coming here for over ten years now. I’ve never been seen by Dr Hagan, so I wouldn’t know much about him yet. I was never a huge fan of previous optometrists here (Dr Cunningham?) — as other reviewers mentioned, she was cold and rude, never listened to my concerns, wouldn’t ever even let me finish my sentence. Now with Dr. Marzuka Jalal here, I love it! She’s the biggest sweetheart. Answers all questions, concerns, and really cares.

I have been a patient/customer with this Pearle Vision for 25 years or more. I would never go anywhere else because of the store manager, Tanya. Tanya, is AMAZING. She runs the store with a balanced level of confidence and expertise with an amazing personal touch. Tanya has become invested in our lives, as we kept bringing new children into the world, who needed glasses. 5 kids later and all of them will only walk into the door of Pearle Vision if Tanya is there to help guide their eye wear purchases. My husband also will not go anywhere else and tires to make sure Tanya is working, if he has an appointment. I have watched Tanya be gentle with her staff and constantly teach them with a spirit of humility. She has created a warm and friendly atmosphere. I can not say enough wonderful things about Tanya and because of her the store runs well.

My only comment is in cleaning I believe they are using bleach and I had bleach marks on my brown pants upon washing them. Other than that I was really glad to see all the cleaning!🧼

I made an appointment online only to receive an email the next day saying Your eye exam has been cancelled I call the office to figure out why that is, (as I needed the appointment urgently due to breaking my glasses) and they tell me its because You scheduled online and someone else scheduled in person Meaning essentially my spot was given away and I was only notified via email. I paid $ 313.40 over insurance on June 11 for new frames and lenses.The employee was number 35.I hav never had such an uncomfortable pair of glasses. I came in once to have them adjusted but still they are uncomfortable.So today, July 1, I went back and had to spend another 6$613.19 to get a pair that is not uncomfortable. The first agent never showed me these frames even though I told her I wanted a light weight pair.Very unhappy as to the amount of money I am spending!

The Optometrist was very professional and performed the examination well. The cost of the glasses was too much, especially since a brought a pair of glasses I actually purchased from Pearle Vision a few years ago and wanted to use the frame. I was charged $30 extra for reusing perfectly good frames.

I appreciated that this Pearl Vision location had very strict COVID precautions. Masks were worn by all, customers temperature is taken before you enter the store, if you touch a pair of glasses you cant put it back on the shelf (they take it and clean it). Each person in the store is accompanied by a staff member to monitor this. No issues in that department.I do think they have less frames than before, as the store has been reorganized to accommodate social distancing. I also question the upsell on the machine that takes a picture of the inner eye. I think that should be included in the cost of the exam. Not a separate fee ($39.00)

I had the worst lady take care of me, I have gone there for 9 years and no issues, they hired this new women and she’s rude , I had to ask for another employee to help me, she went as far as to say I need to wear red glasses because my facial tone is pastie complexion! Myself and my children will not be returning to the canton pearl vision again ! Note to hiring person SCREEN better! Shame on you !

The team at Pearle Vision Eye Care center in Canton MI is amazing! They are very helpful in selecting new frames and also make great suggestions when to purchase what and on how to best utilize your insurance. I felt the Optometrist didnt take her time examining my vision. I have been back to this location twice because the computer reading glasses I got from them arent clear. My guess is either the prescription is off or the quality of the lenses are that bad. On the bright side, the manager of this location is very kind and helpful. I dropped off the reading glasses for adjustment and hopefully when I pick them up, Ill be satisfied with the new adjustment.

They messed up my daughters prescription. Staff was unfriendly and didnt believe my daughter couldnt see well. They gave us another appointment but my daughter had to go a few days with her bad prescription. We go for the second appointment and they still treated us badly: they still didnt think her prescription was bad. They took her back to check her eyes again and the woman shoved my daughters glasses up her face and asked her if she could see more, to which my daughter said no. Once the doctor came in, he did admit my daughter was right, her prescription was wrong. Once we were ordering the new lens, a different woman came to help us. She was not better than the first lady who helped us. They decided to help other customers although we should have been earlier in the line. Once they finally came to help us, the new woman was still very rude. She wouldnt expedite the shipping although my daughter had been dealing with her horrible prescription for too long. Overall, the staff was extremely rude, to the point of shoving my daughters glasses into her face.

I have never worn glasses my entire life and Dr. Cunningham was prescribing progressive glasses with three levels for me.... I was genuinely concerned about my ability to use these type of glasses and the adjustment. She was incredibly rude to me when I saw that she had glasses on and asked if hers were progressive and she said I am NOT “that old”! She did not want to take the time to explain how they worked or what it would be like to make this adjustment.... If Pearle Vision did not have such a good selection, I would have walked out immediately! What a rude doctor. I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy!!!!

Do not recommend this place. People are not friendly. In-spite of my insurance covers major part for frame and glasses. The lady mis-guided quoting extra dollars including the stuff which we dont ever opt for. I went in for an eye exam and to get new glasses. When I got there, everyone seemed friendly, but when I went to the exam room with Dr. Pack-Cunningham, she was extremely condescending, arrogant, and just plain rude. When we started doing the tests, she asked me to look forward and tell her when I saw that the cap she was moving around was red. I was telling her when I saw it as red and she told me that I was wrong and that I wasnt doing the test correctly. I went through the rest of the exam as quickly as possible and went to get my new glasses (she continued to be short and condescending the remainder of the exam). The only reason I give this place a 2 is because the staff in the main room were nice and accommodating, but the doctor was one of the worst Ive ever seen.

I have been a customer for this location for about 10 years now! I have never had any problems with their customer service and their products. Last year, April to be exact, I purchased a pair of Tiffany glasses. Within 5 months, they had been adjusted 3-4 times. Today, I went for another adjustment and the store manager went above and beyond her call of duty! I explained to her how disappointed I had been with the frame and how many times I had gotten them adjusted. She made 1 phone call and I walked out of the store with another pair of glasses! Went to see Dr Naomi Park Cunningham for an eye exam and had the worse experience. She was extremely rude when we began to discuss what the insurance will cover and wont. She declined MY suggestions in regards to MY eye sight and when we walked into the reception area I inquired about contacts and her response was we have to see if you can pay for them first Ive never been so offended in all my years of life. Ive never experienced someone so rude and unwilling to help. If you have to go to pearl vision go to the one in Ann Arbor.

This is the worst place and people. Neither the doctor cares about you nor the staff. The exam was not done according to my needs.Initially, they made glasses that were not meant for me. I wanted them for driving and they made regular glasses. They ended up tinting them. But, the prescription glasses themselves were making one side magnification which was straining my eyes. When called, they (Pam-staff) say they cannot do anything about it and that I have to just get used to them.I regret going there and wasting my money. Do not recommend this place.

I went to get an eye exam, which was provided without issue. My plan was to buy glasses online due to no optical insurance. The optometrist told me point blank not to buy glasses online and I was given a little hassle about being provided with the pupillary distance; I was told by the optician that this should be done by the place where I decide to purchase glasses. I think that for a 75.00 eye exam and a 40.00 retinal scan I should be entitled to walk out the door with a complete prescription. The email I received from this location describes it as follows;This business is operated by an independent licensee of Luxottica Retail North America Inc. and may have an independent Doctor of Optometry. Anyone who cares where their money goes should educate themselves about Luxottica Retail, as they retain a global monopoly on overpriced eye glasses and are the direct reason why eyeglasses cost so much money (and indirectly, why I went 5 years without new ones!) I can see just fine with my new glasses purchased ONLINE with my Pearle prescription. However, I will never set foot in this place again. Maybe by the time I need new ones again there may be an exam available from a less biased retailer.

They are getting one star because that is minimum by Google. I ordered my frame and lenses on May 13. My vision insurance requires that to be taken care of at special lab for lenses and it is Pearle Visions job to send frame. Lenses were ready on 25th but they forgot to send the frame completely. I just confirmed with my insurance that they got frame on 30th. This is horrible customer service. I would never recommend anyone anymore to this place. This was my first and last mistake.

Would not recommend to anyone. Staff are rude and customer service is poor. Doctor and staff give the feeling that they are doing you a favor by helping you out. Never mind that the prices are outrageous. Can easily find glasses much, much, cheaper online if you have your prescription. After making the mistake of going here more than once, we recognized that the poor service was not a fluke and finally learned to take our business elsewhere. Will never go back - learned my lesson.

Horrible Horrible!!! Please do not waste your time. They are a total scam. THEY decided to put DIGITAL LENSES in my glasses. Sorry but Ive never heard of them. I had my current glasses with me, which the Dr. checked out in his little machine. Sorry NOT DIGITAL!! So why did they put them in? Its a SCAM for more money in there pocket. During the whole ordering process NOT ONE WORD of digital lenses were even mentioned. Wonder why....hmmm!!! What should have been 2 trips, first being exaim second picking them up. Turned into 4 and a month later and still no glasses. They had to send them back one pair at a time. OMG...are you kidding me. What a flipping joke. And the people. Not so friendly at all. If they are all that depressing then there must be some internal problem they need to address before they get closed up. Starting with there Manager Tonya Caldwell. She needs to learn people skills to have that position. Very rude and inconsiderate. Believe this or not....Go to Costco. I did. Couldnt believe it. Awesome. You dont need a membership for there optical people... Hint hint!!!

The customer service was very poor. It was like the staff was guessing on how to do our insurance and the lady when I asked to help assist to pick out glasses. She just directed me to the section never offer to assist. Lastly, I dislike how the tech who is suppose to cut the frames her times are ify and I have to call back to speak to her in order to pick up my daughters glasses. I lived in Canton for eighteen years first time here and last time.

Extremely rude and arrogant Dr! I will never step foot in that place again! I only went there because they took my insurance. The Dr would ask me questions and then when i would answer, he would interrupt me and say firmly wrong answer! He put me down for wearing contacts and said I should be wearing glasses that I am not a teenager anymore. I am 33 years old. I couldnt believe how rude and condescending he is. He said whomever Gave me my script last was wrong. He told me I am not to wear contacts overnight even if the package says you can because I am not a teen and my eyes show overwearing. Scolded me for not bringing my glasses and contact box. He told me if he accessed a picture of my eye then it would be $20 because insurance never covers it and I said no. He snapped back at me, wrong answer again! I said, I dont have a lot of money. He seemed like an angry person and hateful towards people.I told him I was there for contacts. He told me I need glasses and contacts. Even with telling him i dont wear glasses. Then Pam acted like she had no clue about what my insurance covered and told me the cheapest glasses for me was $269! Tried ordering contacts and she said they wont give me my script unless I pay in full and order from them. I was shocked. I have always gone to Dr Bohdan down.the road but they didnt take my new insurance. They have never been rude to me and always give me my script and also a trial pair of contacts to walk out wearing. Pam told.me I would have to pay $20 for a pair that day. I said no thanks...keep your contacts. They also told me my exam was $77 and I had to pay that before they could do anything else for me. She claimed my insurance didnt cover any of my exam. Also, was trying to.push me to join some club and I didnt want to. She even folded the paper over that had my script on it so I couldnt see. That place made me so mad, I paid $15 and walked out. Im glad my debit card didnt go through. Im better off going to Sams club and getting the exam and contacts for $120! And they are friendly! This so called Dr. Doesnt deserve that job! Jerk!
