Dakota Child and Family Clinic is excellent. Their patient care is unlike anything I have ever experienced. I felt that the doctor listened to me, gave me options, and was extremely empathetic and kind. I drive a long distance to go to this clinic because it truly is wonderful. I will never go back to the big clinics again!

Michelle is an absolutely wonderful doctor. She always tells you about all your options, helps you understand the benefits and risks of each choice, and makes sure you have a say in the matter. I always feel informed after speaking with her. She has a kind heart and truly personally cares about her clients. Cannot recommend her enoughThe nurses at the office are also very friendly and Ive only had pleasant experiences being there.

I use Dakota Child & Family Clinic for my children and myself for our primary health care. The staff and clinicians are the best. Both my kids are on the ASD spectrum. Gretchen really understands kids with all needs. Michelle really understands the parents that are managing these kids. It is a win win situation. In addition, knowing this clinic helps the community with a variety of needs no matter the financial situation makes me feel good about going there.

I refer families with complex children to DCFC all the time, especially children with a history of complex trauma and/or Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders. I also refer young adults and adults with trauma histories. And I also recommend that parents of complex kids get their primary care at this clinic, as I do myself. They understand us and our kids. There is no better place in the Twin Cities to get comprehensive care. Is the clinic a shiny dazzling facility? No, it is a real place that serves some of the toughest patients out there and they place value on relationships, care and support, not fancy artwork and waste of money amenities that many larger clinics value over relationships. It is where I get my care, and where I recommend the families I work with get care. I time and time again, get emails/texts/phone calls from my families, almost in tears that they finally feel understood by a medical professional. Make the switch, it is well worth it.

We love Dakota Child and Family Clinic. We have been patients for 11 years and would not go anywhere else. All if the providers and staff treat each person with care and compassion. We don’t live close and for us this clinic is out of network but we come here because there is true compassion for parents and children and their needs. Many times you might feel brushed off or unheard but I don’t get that from this clinic. Gretchen Moen is top notch and she’s gone above and beyond responding to my messages and concerns. I see the adult provider who I love. I prefer a holistic approach to my health and she has spent time with me and offered alternative, natural options instead of just prescriptions! I truly feel cared for and listened to. I also think that what they do for the community, outside of healthcare, is amazing!!!

My family has been going to this clinic for years. They go above and beyond not just to make the medical issue disappear but to actually get to the root of the issue. The staff goes above and beyond.I would definitely Recommend this clinic to everyone I know.

Gretchen is amazing to work with. My kids love seeing her because she listens to them. We have been seeing her for 7 years!

Poor communication. Questionable care. It took three tries and two people to find the correct length of my infant, on two separate occasions. They did not know where to take the measurement on the scale. At wellness appointments they were out of standard vaccinations. They said they would call when the vaccines were available. I did not hear back for a few weeks. I called to inquire several times. We received the vaccine two months after the initial appointment. Im still waiting to hear about the other missed vaccinations. I mentioned a lump on my sons neck during a wellness check. Gretchen Moen seemed confident she knew what it was. She just never said what. Thankfully his bloodwork came back normal, but no one ever said what the lump actually is. In the clinics defense, activation of my pending insurance took two months. Also, I think its awesome that the kids receive a free book at their wellness checks.

We were so lost until we found Gretchen and staff at Dakota Child and Family. Very professional and caring clinic. Highly recommend to everyone. Been going to the clinic almost 7 years.

My babies went there and so did I 5 years ago moved away had horrible care at other places when I came back I tried multiple clinics and dr.s for my self and my kids. I returned to dakota and child and family and the amazing care they provide has not changed and its a blessing to find providers that are there for you and your family. From medical tk personally. I love this place.

We have been going to DCFC for med management and the special needs parent support group for years, and we recently moved all of our care for our family there. There is just no other clinic that comes close to feeling as welcoming and supportive as DCFC. I highly recommend!

This place is not a good fit. We have seen this nurse practitioner for 3 weeks and the first time she puts my daughter on a bunch of medicine. She doesnt come in to her appointments and just sends her student to give results and what the plan is. She doesnt listen to what my daughter and I have to say. Gretchen moen is not a good nurse practitioner!

I Absolutely love DCFC and the people that make it run smoothly. Youre treated like youre family and they show you that they appreciate you.I have been so humiliated and embarrassed at other Dr. Offices because i am transgender and NEVER once have they ever treated me like i was less then or never have used the wrong pronoun when addressing me.They dont rush you like other Doctor offices.I have went in with a list and they have answered every question & concern that i have had.We also have a child that is living with mental illness and us and some other families have had some extremely trying times with our kids and no matter what time of night it is, Gretchen is right there to be a shoulder to lean on,make you laugh,give you advice or lead you in the right direction.These people actually care about you as a person.Youre never made to feel like youre just a number.There are so many wonderful experiences that i have had with DCFC.I also love that they help out those that are in need. I dont know any other medical facility like this oneWhen anyone at DCFC asks how youre doing they REALLY want to know how youre doing.I cant say enough about DCFC.

DCFC has always been there for my family. We will not take our kids anywhere else. Our girls love going to their appts to see Dr. Gretchen Moen. We love that we can all get our care in the same clinic. Michelle Christian is awesome and we always feel like we are recieving the best care!
