Andy Griffith tv show is on in lobby and other waiting areas. Beautiful decor inside. Reminds me of Grand Central Station. Lots of comfy chairs to sit in. I am, for the first time EVER, seeing at 20/20 or better! I feel like a new person. I can read street signs, restaurant menus on the wall, the tv, I wake up and go to bed with perfect vision. I have been in glasses for 31 years and contacts for 23. Nobody has ever gotten me to the kind of vision I am now experiencing. My experience at Vision Point was like no other. This has been a great experience from the initial exam to the actual surgery. First of all, Nancy was profession and comforting the whole time that she worked with me. Second, I received a great medical recommendation to use the mono-vision approach instead of doing both eyes. This fit more of my lifestyle needs as I wont need reading glasses in the foreseeable future. The surgery went very smoothly and the results have been fantastic. When I went in for my consultation, Alicia was super nice. Answered all questions I had and was just a very genuine person. From that point on, I knew this was what I wanted. Wow, what an amazing experience! The staff at VisionPoint are all amazing and are so patient centered. I had such a wonderful experience getting lasik done and am still surprised at how fast and easy it was. Only a day and I’m already seeing better than 20/20. Everything was explained thoroughly and the process was incredibly efficient. All my appointments ran on time, but I never felt rushed. I would highly recommend an evaluation if youre considering it. We had a wonderful experience at Vision Point for my five year olds first eye exam. Everyone was wonderful from the moment I walked through the door to the time I checked out. Very impressed with the exam. That being said, I was rather let down by the lenses I ordered. #1 they were VERY expensive….search around at other establishments for lenses. I provided the frames. I strictly ordered “transition” lenses. When I received the lenses they were not, and there was an added cost. I WILL return for the Physicians. Never again from lens purchases.

The Vision point staff are all extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Every interaction I had with them, they were preparing me for what to expect and able to give a detailed explanation of what I would see, hear, smell and feel. They acknowledged all of my questions and concerns in a professional and warm way.My eyes were evaluated several times in preparation for the procedure as well as after, which goes to show the level of care and precision they expect for their patients As for the results of the procedure, I am able to see clearly after only one day! I received Lasik eye surgery from this place in February of this year and I wanted to wait a while so I can leave an honest review.. If you are still debating getting Lasik eye surgery, this is your reassurance to do it!! 4 months later and it is STILL the best decision I ever made. Going from wearing glasses since the age of 10, and not being able to read something unless I had it literally in my face, to now I have 20/15 vision, I am still amazed and wish I would have done this sooner. My doctor was Dr. Pinter and he is extremely knowledgeable and professional (highly recommend). People here were really rude. As soon as my girlfriend and I walked through the door, we got rude looks like we weren’t supposed to be in there. After waiting for 30 min for someone to help us, I told them that I was looking for a new pair of ray bans and they looked at me like I couldn’t afford them. After finding a pair that I liked, we went up to the front desk to pay for them. After paying for them we checked the bag and THEY DIDN’T EVEN PUT THE SUN GLASSES IN THE BAG. We almost walked out the door after paying $300+ Without the sunglasses. We then walked up to someone working there and told him we just paid for sunglasses but didn’t get the sunglasses. He just stood there and looked at us like we didn’t buy anything. We had to show them the receipt to prove that I paid for them. He didn’t say anything to us he just walked away and had the lady get the glasses after waiting another 15mins. They did not apologize to us for making us wait so long. We will never go here for anything ever again due to the horrible service we received.

Very professional. My experience unique in that I got my glasses and after a week or so returned to get them adjusted. They redid the entire process starting with Victor, the the Doctor, then out front with Michelle. Ask for Michelle in the 1107 retail shop if you want proper manners and cheery service with a wonderful touch of proper English. GJD

Going into lasik I was very nervous. My vision was beyond bad and I was quite skeptical anything could even fix it. I did all my research and looked at every place around to make sure I made the right choice. And holy cow did I, the staff was beyond amazing Nancy was god sent. Answered any questions I had. Not only was she very knowledgeable but she was so excited for me! They did so many measurements on my eyes to make sure I had the best vision possible. The day of the lasik I went in at 8 feeling a little nervous, everyone in the room was extremely reassuring and so kind I can’t get over it! I went home rested as instructed and woke up being able to see clearly blew my mind. I couldnt even believe I had work done on my eyes I had no discomfort. The following morning I had my follow up and they think after my eyes fully heal I could have 20/15 which how my vision was is insane. Major props to the whole vision point team for being so awesome and making me feel so comfortable and excited! Thank you guys so much for everything!!

There has been no business in my life that has provided me with as consistently phenomenal service as this one. Im going to say it: VisionPoint Eye Center of Bloomington, IL is the peak of optometry. Here are my reasons and anecdotes that lead me to believe so, listed in order of importance:- Staff is extraordinarily friendly, helpful, welcoming, entertaining, basically any positive adjective you can think of. Everyone I interacted with was great (in person and on the phone), but big shout out to my main team: Erin and Teresa in contacts, and Maddie and Samantha in optical.- My contacts team went through several appointments, contact lens brands, and prescriptions until they found a perfect fit for me. I really appreciated their care and patience in the entire process.- Old glasses I bought (not from VisionPoint) were giving me contact dermatitis, but I needed a pair of backup glasses before leaving town. In a pinch, I went to VisionPoint to see if they could put the lenses into some new frames. They found me a frame that fit my lenses perfectly, were hypoallergenic, and were very affordable. Seriously a miracle. I could have cried.- Super transparent about pricing, expectations, and timelines. All of my questions were answered very clearly, and I was never caught off guard.- VisionPoint was the only eye clinic in town (and in many other towns across the U.S. that I had considered going to while I was traveling) that would allow me to start my contact lens fitting without redoing my routine eye exam (and having to pay out of pocket for a repeat exam). I thought this flexibility was very unique and saved me a lot of money.- Very spacious, clean, well-lit space. Atmosphere is incredible. I would live at this eye clinic.I had been a patient at Gailey for over a decade, and they are great, but VisionPoint has stolen my heart.

I have given VisonPoint Eye Center enough chances to show me the same level of service before McLean County Eye Center became a part of this merger.They promised more access to doctors and the most comprehensive eye care in our community. Since the merger, I’ve had to schedule simple eye exams months in advance.When I have to reschedule, they have no flexibility. I again have to wait weeks to be seen. How does more access to doctors mean fewer appointments?When it was McLean County Eye Center, I felt like a valued customer. That is definitely not the case now.

I wanted to share my experience regarding an appointment I had 2 weeks ago at Optique. Unfortunately, I sat on my glasses a couple days before and bent them out of shape. After I arrived, Damian promptly asked how he could help me and I showed him the mangled pair of reading glasses. Shortly after I gave them to him, he returned with the glasses perfectly aligned. He then noticed I had on another pair of glasses that needed an adjustment, so he fixed those, as well! Optique is so fortunate to have such a conscientious employee. Thank you, Damian, for your excellent service!

Julie Sloan was extremely helpful when I selected new glasses. She listened to what I wanted, selected several options and found the perfect choice. She was also skilled at getting a great fit for me. Coupled with her patience and bubbly personality, my experience at Vision Point was absolutely perfect!

Ive been thinking about doing Lasik for a decade, but always was too scared to do it! I appreciated their free consultation and exam to see if I even was a candidate to get lasik. Megan did a terrific job at talking through all my questions, calming my fears and educating me about the procedure. I still cant believe how easy and simple the procedure was! Dr Crockett and her team of Lasik Ladies made my procedure fun, quick, painless, and comforting!

I will not be returning.I have always had a great eye doctor, but after moving I decided to try VisionPoint. The best part of my experience was the lady’s at the front desk. All of them were beyond kind. However, that is where the good experience ended. The nurse that took me back had gloves on and touched many things. She then (without changing her gloves or using sanitizer) held my eyes open for the pictures they took behind my eyes. I did not think anything of it till I got an eye infection and had to go to my doctor. I obviously cannot say it was from that but it was pretty gross when I saw her type on a computer after someone else, hold multiple tools, the door, etc… Also, lets not forget we are still in the middle of COVID. Then there was the doctor. He went on a rushed rant about how I was more than a number as soon as he walked in….obviously, I felt exactly like a number. He did not take his time with me and it all felt super rushed. There were also some comments made that did not feel appropriate. Whoever was with him taking notes was very kind and caring. I was supposed to go back to make sure my prescription was working. I ended up calling in and the doctor released my prescription. It took 5 days to finally get them to give it to me after the doctor released it. The lady that ended up calling me walked me through how to order online and helped me find them to order elsewhere. I for sure will not be returning and I would advise anyone to go somewhere else. Looks are deceiving with this place.

If i could give 100 stars i would...from the moment i walked into the office I was treated like a special patient. The front staff was friendly knowledgable patient and efficient..job well done...then i met Nancy..she quickly became a friend. I was put at ease in regards to the procedure i was contemplating..not an easy decision for the momma of 8 and grammy of 12...seeing my family is the most important thing to me..the confidence and knowledge Nancy has made my decision so easy..in fact i moved it up from the original date..next i met Dr Brownstone...what a bedside manner...he explained the procedure to me so i could understand it..his talent and skill are immeasurable..he is the best...i now see 20/15...In the past i couldnt see anything without my bifocals..i couldnt drive at night at all...i watched things without truly seeing them ...Dr Brownstone changed that in less than a half hour...I truly believe God has given Vision Point to is to change the way we see the world and Dr Brownstone is truly a gift from God..you make a difference..i will forever be your biggest fan

Sean and Susan at VisionPoint/Optique were stellar. I told Sean what I needed and he went above and beyond. Apparently I was cleaning my lenses wrong and scratched/smudged them. My lenses were within warranty and he asked if I could wait 20minutes and they would be replaced on the spot. He also threw in some extra cleaning materials. Also Susan made sure at checkout I had my receipt from the prior office visit for the $100 rebate on my contacts. I had lost the receipt and she offered to print another one on the spot. I was grateful for the reminder and those simple acts of service and helping the customer. It’s the little things that make all the difference. Thank you Sean and Susan!!!

I am seeing better than I have for years after getting contacts from VisionPoint Eye Center. Everyone I worked with was patient, kind, and responsive to my needs, especially with this being the first time I have ever tried contact lenses. There is a sensible fee to navigate through the fitting and trial period to ensure the best fit, but it is well worth the expense. The technicians in the contact area were so gentle with me when I experienced some breaking in issues with my lenses, especially Holly! Her approach was so personable, and I could tell she really cared about ensuring I got the right fit! I highly recommend VisionPoint Eye Center for contacts and eye care in general.

I have been going to Vision Point Eye Care (and previous to that name) for several years now. The level of care and attention to detail for my needs has been exceptional. In the past I have had treatment for glaucoma and cornea disease along with having had cataract procedures in both eyes. Dr. Crockett has given me excellent results.Most recently I have had the pleasure of being fitted for scleral contact lenses for a remarkable improvement in my vision. The lenses address the dry eyes and provide a comfortable smooth surface that addresses the irregular shape of the cornea. Dr Huettemann and the associates there have restored a level of vision I thought was gone forever. This is an ongoing process but I certainly am thankful for the amazing efforts they have made for me.

I had LASIK surgery yesterday and cannot say enough positive things! Nancy, my LASIK coordinator, walked me through the entire procedure and made me feel so well cared for before, during, and after my surgery. Dr. Crocketts expertise, professionalism, and friendliness were top notch. During the surgery, Megan held my hand throughout, and it provided me with such comfort. My vision is already so much clearer just 24 hours later! Cant wait to see (pun intended!) what the next week brings!If you are considering LASIK, just do it! Once I chose, Samantha saved the information until I was ready to order them in January. She completed my order and called when they arrived. Samantha was so friendly during our interactions. I wish I wouldnt have waited so long for Lasik eye surgery! It was the best decision ever! I have been dealing with glasses/contacts since elementary school. Now to no longer have to deal with the hassle and to have better than 20/20 vision is life changing! I would do it again in a heartbeat. The staff was wonderful and made the process very easy and comfortable. I give them all a 5/5 for sure!!

It was my first visit VisonPoint Eye Center, but not my first to my eye doctor.... was not impressed. I miss the personal attention and feel of McLean County Eye CenterGuess it started from the minute I was called back. The person was cold, no personality, very awkward. Then I had to wait.....and wait... final get called again by a different person....had to wait some more.. Dr. running behind...When I finally did see Dr., I knew Dr. was stressed because they were so behind, however I am one who suffered. My appt. felt rushed, DR. was running through things quickly. I felt like I had to hurry up and ask what I wanted to. Never felt that way before at the old location. The Dr. always took the time to talk to me and never hurried out of the appt.Then had to wait 2 weeks for a pair of trial contacts and then they were missed in order. Felt that is too long, dont recall waiting that long before. I am sure it is because they are waiting to collect as many as they can before sending in order because they get a better price, all at the expense of the customer.When it was McLean County Eye Center, I felt like a valued customer. I dont at Vision Point. I will go back, but only because I really like my doctor.

Very satisfied with all the services Ive received at VP. In the past few Ive been prescribed my first pair of glasses. This year eyewear has been exceptionally helpful as I have added 2 pair of glasses. Being a rookie at this I never realized that selecting glasses is also about fashion and I found a couple pair of glasses I really like, although Maddie may question that statement. This is a shout out to Maddie who must be wondering how I find so many ways to pop out a lense or on that rare occasion when I sat on my glasses. Maddie thank you for your patience, kindness, and technical expertise. Im sorry but I was betting against your ability to repair the glasses I sat on. I wont bet against you again! When I first visited Vision Point I was very impressed by the number of frames they had, I soon found a frame that I loved. I have gone back for some minor problems and Michelle and Sean were amazing! They were both so helpful and went above and beyond to help me. If you are looking for a great selection of eyewear and a good eye exam I highly recommend Vision Point.

I had been in the fence about getting Lasik for years. My eyes weren’t “that bad”, and I always thought worse case scenario because that’s just the life I lead. From the moment the process began, Megan put me at ease and made me feel so comfortable. She thoroughly answered all of my questions and didn’t even bat an eye when some became pretty far fetched. I also never felt rushed or like just another number. She anticipated my needs throughout the entire process without any prompting and ensured I had a great experience from beginning to end. Dr. Pinter was professional and knowledgeable, and gave me the ability to watch my kids’ sports/activities without glasses, contacts, or straining. COVID precautions were followed dutifully by everyone in the office and not once did I question if they were doing enough.Overall wonderful experience that I highly recommend to anyone whose eyesight is anything less than perfect! Only negative is that I didn’t do it sooner.

I recently had lasik surgery done at Vision Point Eye Center and it was easily the BEST decision I’ve ever made. The lasik team helped me feel prepared, confident, and well cared for throughout the entire process. They were just as excited as I was about my outstanding results. The 5/5 stars is well deserved.

I visited in early December to purchase non prescription Maui Jim sunglasses as a Christmas present. I was familiar with the building and the incredible atmosphere created in the space by the furnishings and lighting. However, as a first time client I was very impressed/pleased by the following:1. Covid screening process was quick and gave me a sense of confidence being there2. I was overwhelmed by the kindness of the staff serving me. I ended up having touch points with 5 staff members and they made me feel like a million bucks.3. I didnt do a ton of shopping for sunglasses, but as far as I could tell I think I paid less for this pair at VisionPoint than I would have online. I was floored by the deal/discount I received.In sum, from price, customer service, health and safety, and atmosphere-- the Optique at VisionPoint hits it out of the park. Thank you.

Every time I have came to Vision Point (6+ times) I have had to wait over an hour to be seen. I arrive 15 minutes before my appointment time, every single time, and I’m never called back until it’s been an hour after my appointment time. I’m always here for almost 2 hours. Their scheduling is terrible, especially if you’re seeing your eye surgeon. I also live almost 2 hours away, and they’re aware of this, and also aware of the extent of my appointments (Pre-op & Post- op eye surgery). Every time i come, i have to ask if they’re behind schedule and they say no every time. Apparently waiting this long is “not behind schedule.” The secretaries at the desk are also very rude if you ask how much longer it will be until you’re called back. You would think they would treat patients better, especially if they’ve been waiting for an hour and also pay thousands for these services. I’ve also asked to speak with a supervisor to discuss wait times and was denied both times. My husband and I will not be coming back. We will be finding a different surgeon, which is pretty ridiculous. Also, according to past reviews, this is an ongoing issue many patients experience and have experienced since the day they have opened. They have been open for over a year now. No excuse. Take patient complaints seriously.

I recently visited vision point eye center for the first time since the merger. It’s been several years since I’ve been in to see Dr.Landes who was his usual friendly, professional and caring self but someone who really stood out to me was a technician named Sam. He was friendly, genuine and caring throughout my initial exam. He took the time to explain to me exactly what he was doing all the while making sure I felt comfortable. My Optique experience was wonderful. When it came time to narrow down my glasses selections, Gabe was so helpful, honest, and fun!

For context, I am a patient with keratoconus who had crosslinking about 10 years ago. My experience was very positive with visionpoint as I was looking for contacts after struggling with glasses for a long time. My vision is definitely managable without assistance but the quality of life isnt the greatest. When I went in, they recommended scleral contact lenses which are good as they sit above the cone on my eye. The process for learning how to insert and remove was difficult but the staff there were very patient. It was a frustrating thing to learn but man, when it worked it was night and day. They are very comfortable to wear and almost eliminates all of my ghosting (seeing double vision of things). I will say that the procedure for getting the right fit also takes awhile. I had an initial appointment to order the lenses and 2 more over the span of about a month or so to get the fit right. My insurance (VSP) covered almost all of it as it was medically necessary. I would recommend the facility. The staff was kind and helpful and they answered all of my questions. They also told me they would be starting doing crosslinking procedures there. If you have keratoconus, I highly recommend getting the crosslinking done. The procedure is scary and unpleasant but the results speak for themselves. I got my surgery about 10 years ago, and my vision has completely stopped degrading since.

I had been thinking about getting LASIK done for many years. I finally decided to get it done a few weeks ago and I could not be happier. Megan, Dr. Pinter, and the rest of the staff were amazing. Prior to the procedure my vision was 20/300 and I had pretty bad astigmatism. 24 hours after the procedure I came back in for my re check and found my vision was 20/15! I am seeing better now than I ever did with contacts or glasses. Thank you all so much!

I normally dont do reviews, but I 110% have to do one for VisionPoint. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I had the BEST experience (aside from general anxiety of the unknown, which they did a phenomenal job helping me manage) throughout the entire experience. I met with Alicia and Dr. Brownstone for my first two initial appointments, and day of procedure met Megan and Nancy as well. From start to finish there was nothing short of crystal clear information given to me about anything and everything revolving around Lasik the steps leading up to. They answered all my questions, and even rallied around almost 20 emails trying to set up the best time and date for my appointments. The genuine care and compassion I experienced each visit and especially on the day of procedure was unprecedented to any other medical visit Ive had in my entire life. Dr. Brownstone had the utmost patience with me while my left eye was being a little stubborn and the superior level of comfort the girls gave me during that time was something I genuinely dont think you would find any where else. If you have ever considered Lasik, or have recently just started considering it I 1000% recommend at LEAST scheduling a consult at VisionPoint.

Vision point is by far the nicest, cleanest, top notch eye center I have ever been to! At my first appointment I had multiple people welcome me to Visionpoint since they knew it was my first visit! I saw Dr. Vize and worked with Sarah and Jessica. Dr. Vize answered all of my questions and gave me some good take home knowledge! My favorite part by far was picking out glasses!!! The ambiance of their glasses center is awesome! It feels like a cozy rustic modern resort and you get taken care of. I worked with Gabriel and even though I tried on a dozen frames, I of course ended up picking the second pair I tried on that he personally chose for me! Gabe gave me more time and attention picking out glasses compared to when I was wedding dress shopping! I’m telling all my friends about VisionPoint because they are that great!

I received excellent service today from Sean Easter in the optical boutique. He was so helpful and knowledgeable in assisting with my selection of new frames. Just a great experience - hes a real asset to the practice. Thanks Sean.

Love Dr Crockett. Excellent MD. I did like the smaller Eye Surgical Associates better to get my choice of opticians. Lenses take a much longer time to come in and I don’t feel Vision Point is as personal with clients because it is too big. When I got my new lenses I knew right away something major was wrong with them but young lady would not listen. Had to make new appointment for an adjustment and Just as I thought one lens needs to be remade. So, I wait even longer than I should. Cost of everything has gone up, too. Still, because I think Dr. Crockett is top notch I will continue to go there.

The staff was so amazing and did a great job of mapping everything out for me step by step of what would happen in full detail. They eased my nerves more than they know on the day of my procedure and I was just blown away with how genuinely nice everyone was and how much they truly cared. Would recommend anyone interested in Lasik to go to VisionPoint Eye Center. Everyone I interacted with from check in staff to Dr. Pinter himself were top notch. Special shout out to Alicia who I feel is an absolute all star there. She put a smile on my face every time I stepped in there. 10/10 experience.
