The Long Family Eyecare team have been taking care of me for a few years now. I’ve been to several low vision specialists since I was about 2 years old and I’ve never had a more professional, precise and most of all, caring group of people work with me to accommodate every one of my vision needs. The staff is beyond top notch. I’ve been treated to well, which isn’t easy because I’m difficult generally, that my husband left his optometrist to be treated here. Even prior to being taken as one of their patients, the whole team took the time to answer my husbands questions to put him at ease with the processes of my biopic training.

The Long Family Eye Care staff is also friendly, knowledgeable, and patient, taking all the time you need to choose eyewear that is right for you!

What a great experience! You can tell they truly care about the interactions with the patients and their customer service is top notch. I work in the customer service industry, and they hit all the right marks to make you feel special. Misty at the front desk was awesome with scheduling (got me in same day because of a cancellation!) and helped me understand my insurance. Also, the techs I met with were amazing and so was Dr. Long. The whole process had my time in mind and I was in and out in 45 minutes which included a contact fitting.

After the recommendations on the nextdoor site, I went to Longs. Love it. Dr. Jarrod is wonderful to visit. I feel like they were very thorough and patient to explain everything. Great selection of frames as well. Gets my highest recommendation!

Excellent Service

I had struggled with astigmatism on both eyes for years. Glasses wouldn’t work for me. Dr. Angela Long helped me get 20/20 vision for the first time with special custom gas permeable contact lenses. Now I can work more effectively! The whole staff has gone above and beyond to make sure my vision needs are taken care of.

Fantastic experience. I routinely go to another practice in town but I needed to see an optometrist quickly and couldn’t get in to my normal practice. The staff was kind and thoroughly explained the issue I was having. This single experience has me thinking I might switch to them becoming my primary practice. Thanks Longs!

Dr. Long has been a tremendous help with our adult daughter’s vision. She is now legally blind. He helped her to remain employed longer than we ever imagined. The staff are all so friendly and helpful!

The first time I went to Long Family Eye Care, I got lost. It was the end of the day, and by the time I finally found them, it was only to apologize for being late and to reschedule. I felt like a fool, but they treated me well. Two weeks later, I had a fascinating and fabulous experience with Dr. Long, and ordered two pair of glasses. (They were on sale!) When I was ready to pay and leave, I discovered Id left my credit card and drivers license at home. Yikes–here I was, the crazy woman again, but the receptionist was very nice. I went home and phoned in my credit card info. Two weeks later I had great sunglasses and a new pair of regular glasses. Im a VERY satisfied customer!

This was by far the fastest and most complete eye exam I’ve ever had! The staff was friendly, and each step was explained - no surprises! I’m so glad to not have to dread eye exams anymore!

My experience was very good. I have been going to Dr. Long a long time. It would be nice if they offered some discounts. This would really help for people on Medicare as glasses and lens are expensive.

Wonderful service from everyone at Long!

Ive gone to Long Family Eye Care since Ive moved to Bloomington almost a decade ago. However, when I switched jobs I found out that Long Family Eye Care was not in the network for my new vision insurance, so I went to a different place (which was way across town) about two years ago, and i had a decent enough experience but nothing amazing. I decided to go back to Longs for my latest appointment since it was closer to my house and work, and getting my glasses adjusted wouldnt be as hard. Im so glad I did! I had such a better experience than the previous place. The staff was super helpful in helping me pick out new glasses, they fixed my old pair even though I didnt buy them there, and I really didnt end up spending much more than I did at the in network place.

Friendly knowledgeable staff and modern equipment make every visit pleasant and time efficient.

Ive had glasses and contacts for some 20 years and though Ive always received good eyecare, I never quite had the GREAT service I get at Long. Every person who works there is nice AND helpful no matter what the need. I know Bloomington has other options but I do not think anyone reading this should consider anyone but Long Family Eyecare.
