This is one of the most professionally run offices I have ever been to. I had three separate procedures over the past year and each time I felt more and more comfortable. It is clean, organized, and runs well despite the pandemic. Everyone is so friendly including the surgeon with a real name of Dr. Fear. From the techs to the admin people, everyone is efficient. I was most impressed with the followup phone calls and post op video. Very classy. A model dentist office.

Dr. Lopez was amazing! My son came out of surgery saying that he deserved the doctor of the Year award! It was a difficult surgery with four impacted wisdom teeth removed...and in a difficult position on the top, but things went so well! He healed so fast!! Excellent place to get wisdom teeth extraction. I was well cared for weeks after the operation, and the doctors and assistants regularly called to check up on me. Even with a complication (dry socket), everyone made sure that I was comfortable and happy. Highly recommend getting surgery here.

I arrived at the office of MI Oral Surgeons quite nervous & just wanting the experience to be over as I have deep tooth roots & there are ALWAYS problems with my teeth. When I met Dr Fear, he was very calming and informative. He assured me it wouldnt be so bad and he would likely be finished, without pain, within 15 minutes & thats exactly what happened as I was more than relieved...The day after I was called from Dr Fears office to check on my recovery as well as an informational YouTube video texted. Then another call two week out. IM IMPRESSED AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED DR FEAR & MICHIGAN ORAL SURGEONS!!

Has to be the worst practice in Michigan. Zero empathy for a new patient in a great deal of pain. I’m new to the area. I don’t have a Rolodex full of options. I had an appointment in 3 weeks for an extraction, but unfortunately the tooth completely broke before my appointment. I called the emergency line after hours and left a message with the office’s service for help. No one returned the call. I called the office again this morning and explained that I had a severe issue. Even though I had an appointment scheduled, I was informed that as I was not a “patient of record” and would not be seen until my appointment in 3 weeks. I pleaded stating I was in tremendous pain. The receptionist wouldn’t even help with the name of another emergency practice. I’ve never received such a callous response from a medical office professing to care about their patients. Even in an emergency they refused to help with so much as a suggested alternative. They may be great to “patients of record’, but there was zero compassion from either the on-call dentist or front office for someone new to the area and in need of help. I’d suggest staying away from people like this. I certainly won’t use them.......

My daughter was in quite a bit of pain because of her wisdom teeth. I originally took her to another place closer to home but because of COVID it was a longer time then expected. So I called up Michigan Oral Surgeons to try and get her a earlier date. Michigan Oral Surgeons would not get be me a price because she needed a consult first which they wouldn’t do until the surgery day. The first place gave us a price of $1800. After the $1000 from insurance it was going to be about $800. Michigan Oral surgery gave us a price of $3300, $2300 after insurance. I was blown away the the huge price difference and walked out. For $1500 I went back to the first place just have to wait a lot longer. Make sure you get a final price before you schedule a surgery.

Dr. Fear and the assistants at Michigan Oral Surgeons did an amazing job. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted there at once and didnt feel any pain during the process. I knew I was in good hands because they told me all the information I needed to know and answered all my questions. They were very professional and they also followed up with me afterwards to see how I was doing with recovering. They really care about their patients. Definitely recommend.

I saw Dr Fear and he was excellent. After my surgery I thought I’d have a lot of mouth pain. I was surprised at how little my mouth hurt. It was a great experience.

Besides the shots to numb the area this extraction was painless. I took ibuprofen the first night only. Thank you so much Dr. Fear.

This rating is for the office staff who are the most disorganized, patient-blaming group of people whom I have ever met. For every error that they make, they try to blame the patient for their incompetence. They all need to be fired and stop lying. I had to reschedule an appointment because they could not get their act together on time tp provide the needed material for the appointment.This is my response to the offices comment: No one knows what they are doing, and I have tried multiple times to work with you, but when you schedule an appointment with me for a follow-up with a doctor whom I have never met, insist that I see him, and then complain to the original doctor about my reaction, causing friction between me and the doctor and an outside doctor who is supposed to finish the work because of your incompetence, where even that doctors office staff gets frustrated with you, I am not alone in my assessment.Lastly, the doctors assistants are not doctors, so do not have them do the doctors work. For my final visit, the assistant was alone, told me (DID NOT ASK) that she was going examine the surgical site (I had stop her), and was about to X-ray me without an X-ray apron! -Completely unprofessional!

The entire experience was great. From scheduling to recovery the whole staff was very helpful. Calling to check on our daughter and answering any questions we had. They gave thorough instructions on how to care for her and how long the recovery should be.

I had a tooth extraction by Dr. Fear. I expected to be there for several hours and in pain for several days with a big swollen face/jaw. The whole procedure took about 15 minutes. I never had a minute of pain. The entire staff was very nice. They followed Covid guidelines. I felt very well taken care of. It was a great experience.

I had four wisdom teeth extracted with Dr. Lopez. I called on the first night after my surgery because of horrible pain and they were able to help me manage the pain better for the days to come. I appreciated having Dr. Lopez a phone call away for any emergency, he was the absolute best!

During the shutdown I had a tooth that became infected. Twice. When life opened up again, and the infection was flaring for the third time, Dr. Lopez made time for an emergency appointment. (Another oral surgeon’s earliest appointment was September) They were professional, relaxed, and as painless as the process is able to be. Excellent aftercare as well. Both my kids have had their wisdom teeth out here. Dr. Fear did my sons and Dr. Lopez did my daughters. Both times the staff was so nice and helpful and the doctors were fantastic. Even with Covid, things went smoothly. Neither kid had any of the issues or horror stories that you hear about happen to them. I highly recommend this office and team!

Dr. Lopez and the staff were absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. They made, what would otherwise be an unpleasant experience, an incredibly easy breezy procedure. I had a wisdom tooth extraction and it was done within less than twenty minutes. It was virtually painless and the staff made me feel so relaxed and comfortable throughout the duration of the procedure. My husband was shocked by how incredibly easy it was, seeing as how he’d been terrified for me based on his past experiences with wisdom tooth extractions done elsewhere. I highly recommend this place and specifically Dr. Lopez to anyone and everyone! The aftercare was also a breeze because they sent me home with detailed instructions and some items that made the recovery super smooth.

Everything was professional, Covid-aware, and sensitive to the needs and fears of my 13-year-old. The office followed up with us after surgery to make sure my son was doing well. We had no issues, and the healing has been problem-free. Highly recommend.

One of my back teeth cracked in half and needed to be extracted. I have never had a tooth pulled before so I was a little cautious getting it taken out, but Dr. Fear made the whole thing extremely comfortable and easy. I prepped for a little pain but surprisingly there was none. Dr. Fear made sure I was numb before the procedure, then double checked before starting. I was in and out in about 30 minutes and I cant speak highly enough of Dr. Fear and the staff.

Dr. Fear was amazing. I put getting my wisdom tooth pulled for over 2 years. He calmed my anxiety about staying awake during the process. The staff was great, as well. Everybody had positive attitudes and made you feel comfortable. The healing process was great. The staff called twice to see how I was feeling and the instructions for aftercare was thorough.

I usually hate the dentist, and surgery is even scarier. I called them after cracking a wisdom tooth in half, they got me an emergency appointment for the next morning. Everyone was super nice and sweet, the nurse and I had a great conversation. The doctor was super informative and explained everything and aftercare. They even called me back asking how I was doing! Yes I will continue to drive an hour Bc this place is awesome!

Very good dentist. They did a good job removing my wisdom teeth. After a few days, there was almost no pain and the holes were starting to close up with no problems. The operation seems to have been done very well.

One thing I do know he takes the fear away. He has you feeling relaxed and before you know it its done. I had three removed at one and before that had a post put it. Dr. Fear would be the one I see every time if I need anything done. Thanks a bunch Dr. Fear.

I was due to have a dental extraction done at my local dentist office but they are unable to extract the tooth. It was a Friday evening and I was sent home in lots of pain even after the Dentist gave me 5-6 shots in an attempt to numb the area. I had a long hard weekend especially after the full feeling began to come back to my face. On Monday morning, I called Michigan Oral Surgeons Ann Arbor and explained my condition. They were able to get me in that same day. So I worked half a day then a family member and I drove to Ann Arbor for the extraction. I was nervous because of the events that took place the Friday before, so I opted to be put to sleep. The Dentist came in and introduced himself and reassured me that the procedure would be quick and easy. They started the IV and the Dr. told me that I would start feeling a little funny. I confirmed. The next thing I knew his assistant approached me and I began to ask how long before they got started. But as I attempted to ask I realized something was in my mouth. She walked over to me and said I was all finished. Then she asked me to lay back and allow myself to fully wake up. Lol I didnt feel a thing. No anxiety! No pain! No struggle! No problem numbing the area! I give them ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ !!!! Best dental experience EVER!! - Beth

Got me right in at my appointment time and didnt make me wait on the doctor. Absolutely no pain during the procedure, and surprisingly, no pain afterward. I didnt even bother filling the prescription for pain meds, because I didnt need them.

Dr. Fear, in particular, was open and able to answer all questions that I had both before and after surgery, which greatly calmed my nerves. I called for a consultation I was asked about insurance. When I said I was paying cash they sent back a price for giving me a price. I already had 3d images and have them with me with the plan. All I wanted was a quote from another surgeon. I also already have the $21,000.00 to do the 1st plan. I was looking for other pricing. There are 2 others that have free constitution and I have appointments. So Ill take my money there. Thanks bit no thanks. I would never ask these people again and I would suggest no one i know go here

(W/Dr. Fear) Had to get an impacted wisdom tooth removed. I managed to get a surgery appointment a couple weeks following the consultation, which was very convenient. The surgery appointment only took a couple hours and I was basically in-and-out with no follow-up complications. Thats about the best you can hope for when it comes to dental appointments.

Everyone here was super amazing. They explained everything to me really well, including the cost, what would happen during the procedure, and what I could expect after. They charged me too much, which I didnt even realize until I got a check in the mail just a few days after my procedure covering the overcharge.I called on both the fourth and the fifth day after my procedure, because I was having some pain that I thought was out of the ordinary. I went about 4 times during the duration of getting my wisdom teeth out and I never had a problem, and my Oral Surgeon was very friendly and knowledgeable, just like all of his employees. I went in last month on the 22nd to get my wisdom teeth out and was terrified at first, but Dr.Fear and the wonderful ladies helping him explained everything that they were going to do and were doing before and during the extractions. I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced getting all four wisdom teeth removed was, even without insurance. All In all I am very happy with the care and information that id received and Im already recommending to friends and family that need their teeth taken care of!

It was a very good experience. My tooth extraction went well. Everyone was very professional and I was treated very well.

My reason for visiting was wisdom teeth removal, and the surgeon was Doctor Fear. The Dentist and Nurses were all very helpful. They explained how much the expected costs would be to help me decide on the best course of action between going under or just local anthesetic. All in all, I was there about 45 minutes, including waiting and surgery. The actual removal took about 10 minutes. They provided me a packet to help explain how to care for my wisdom teeth.

I was referred here due to the fact that my family dentist couldnt get me in soon enough for an infected tooth.The staff was fantastic. They were able to get me in same day and walked me through the paperwork. I had to wait 30 minutes past my appointment time, but I couldnt complain. Not only were they able to squeeze me in, but they squeezed in two emergencies before me. Totally worth the 30 minutes.Dr Fear was great when I first met him, but when I had serious pain problems with the local anesthetic he got frustrated and short with me. It was a very painful and emotional experience for me, and it was made worse by his attitude. The woman assisting him was fantastic though. She explained everything to me, answered the questions I had honestly, and offered to let me use a recovery bed to calm down before I left the office (I was in tears, and probably the closest Ive ever been to hyperventilating).On a side note, I did have to schedule an appointment with my family dentist after my visit here, because no one had gone over aftercare with me, or explained what I should expect for the healing process. They just gave me a prescription for pain meds, and sent me on my way.While I would recommend this place to others for their amazing staff, I would suggest another doctor.
