Had a really wonderful time at the spa with my friends. Receptionist was friendly and easy to make appointments with. Their online survey portal was great for gathering more info to better personalize my sessions. They have warm comfy robes and sandals for you to switch into. Also, youre able to grab a warmed neck pillow in the waiting room. My MT made me felt comfortable and worked my back and shoulders area to my preference. Would be looking forward to coming back another time.

Soothing atmosphere, my esthetician makes me feel comfortable, and their products have vastly improved my skin. I started going due to adult acne. It was a toss up between monthly facials or dermatologist appointments and medications no longer covered by insurance so I chose monthly facials and it was the right choice. My skin is no longer experiencing the severe breakouts and cysts. The tone is even and the look is so much better. Im not 100% but Im on my way for sure.

Everything from the booking to the massage was very seamless. The survey sent out only helped to personalize the experience. The location is tucked in a nice area, across from shake shack, so grab a burger after! The facilities are very clean and quiet. Kelley was the MT for my hot stones, she was very nice and have strong fingers for deep tissue massage. Julie, the aesthetician gave me great advice for my “maskne” after a facial treatment. Who wouldn’t known I was doing it wrong and treating the maskne as acne the whole time! The staff were very polite and professional, temp checks and masks were required so it’s safe. Would recommend.

The worst spa I have ever been. I had all my appointments scheduled, they took my money then cancelled all of them. They cannot keep therapists and the staff is extremely unprofessional. One of the staff mentioned by name other clients to me? WoW really. I got stopped going their and they kept $14 0 of my money. Read the fine print in their contract they will rip you off like they did me.

I’ve been a client of Julie’s for over a year now and my skin has never been better. She’s thorough but gentle and has started me on a routine that addresses all of my issues. She’s super friendly and we clicked right away. I’ll only ever go to her.Recently during a facial, as she could feel all of the tension in my neck, she recommended that I go see Laura for a massage. This was the best massage I’ve ever had hands down. Laura really focused on my problems areas, using new techniques that I’ve never had before. Those new techniques really opened up different parts of my muscles so she was able to work out hidden knots. It was amazing and she was amazing. She even gave me a few stretching exercises to help with some problems areas. I can’t wait to go back to Spavia to go see Julie and Laura again!

Jan is amazing and really focuses on points she knows are tight that need extra attention. She is extremely intuitive and just knows what you need without you having to vocalize it. I also used the machine (I cant remember the name) but that was helpful to warm up the area that needed it the most. I felt great afterward and helped to increase my healing process for a strained shoulder. I have been going here for about a year and I love the massages. I would highly recommend Jan when booking :)

This was my very first massage ever and I went in I was very nervous and thought that I was not going to enjoy myself. By the end of my visit I was so relaxed that I was ready to just lay down and go to sleep. My body felt great afterwards Its not just that everyone was so friendly and so informative that I cannot wait to buy my membership to come back.

Overall great experience. Very clean and soothing, everyone was very nice. Juliet did an acne facial for me and it felt amazing! I hardly felt a thing when she was doing the extracting part and my face overall looks and feels sooo much better. I will definitely be coming back here.

I had the purifying detox body treatment. The description states you’ll get a purifying detox body wrap and exfoliating body treatment. Along with a warm hand and foot massage and warm stones and a scalp massage. After putting On the icy cold exfoliating treatment, she put some lotion on my hands and put them in baggies. Never touched my feet and the scalp massage lasted about 30 seconds. Never even mentioned anything about hot stones. She put a heavy blanket over me and left me lying there for about 20 min. I was then told to rinse off and then was sprayed with some type of mist and that was it. Nothing like the description. The girl doing the treatment was very nice, but definitely not worth the money.

The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great. I have been getting facials for many years and this was not one of the better ones. When I voiced my complaints, the owner responded very quickly and wanted to address my concerns right away. I appreciated his passion for wanting to provide quality service and it sounds like I just may have had a visit that was outside their normal, on an off day. I will give it another try and feel that I will likely have a better experience.

Had an acne treatment facial with Karen Nicole and she was so knowledgeable! The environment is very soothing and relaxing, with cozy robes and sandals. My skin was glowing afterwards and my pores were invisible because they were so clean! Loved the facial and care that Karen Nicole provided and would 10/10 recommend!

The Day at Spavia was wonderful got the couples massage of course do to covid we couldnt be in the same room but. They had a relaxation room we met up in before and after our massages to still make us feel like a couple it was really nice 👌 loved it

Feels like a mini getaway everytime ❤️2 year update: Still so many great things to say about this place. My favorite place to relax. Even in the midst of the pandemic, they have maintained their standards and vision for the spa.

I just had my first visit to Spavia, 6 months pregnant and during COVID-19. I was very impressed with the stagf, services, and ambiance. Everything felt safe with staff and guests wearing masks, limiting number of guests, temperatures upon entry, and being served tea and water instead of self-serve. The relaxation room was cozy and the treatments were amazing. Julie gave me a wonderful facial with a scalp massage that was unbelievable. The massage with Kelly blew my mind (especially having some bad prenatal massage experiences elsewhere). She gave great pressure and used bolsters for comfort. Definitely worth the price to get services from people who are excellent at what they do.

I had the most incredible experience during my facial. Not only is Karen Nicole amazing as an Esthetician, she is a healer. Such a beautiful soul. I signed a three month membership. Highly recommend.

This place then came highly recommended and it did not disappoint! We went there to celebrate my friends birthday, and they made her feel like a queen along with all of us! The women’s retreat room was very relaxing and cozy. I also appreciated how clean it was. The robes were so comfy!!First I had a facial, and it was out of this world! Best one I’ve ever had. She even took the time to tell me special ways to take care of my skin, I appreciated that so much. I can’t wait to go back and get pampered again. I have been a premier member since March 2020! I am a healthcare worker and I highly recommend this beautiful spa! They are very compliant with Covid precautions and it is a very clean and peaceful atmosphere! The membership is affordable and very versatile! I love working with Julie! She is so knowledgable, caring and talented! She has a lot of experience! I trust her! Julie is amazing at spray tans, facials and waxing! Best spray tan I have ever gotten (I have had two so far)! I got an eyebrow wax and my brows look great! I usually get so red and irritated after an eyebrow wax, but this time my skin was calm and happy! The facial is such a relaxing experience! I am learning how to take better care of my skin and I am able to decompress from the stress of life! The scalp, hand, and shoulder massage is so great! The facilities were clean and nice with a small room for you to relax, drink tea or water, and put on a warm neck pillow. Robes and sandals were provided and they have a shower if you need it. I had a wonderful facial by Sharon and she gave a nice upper body massage. I’d highly recommend her! The overall three star rating because of my massage therapist. I think her name was Messiah. It was one of the worst massages I’ve ever had. It was not relaxing at all as I kept thinking about how bad it was. I asked three times during my session that I wanted the pressure to be firmer but it really didnt make a difference. It mostly felt like her just running the oil on my body with the occasional pressure when she uses her arm instead of her hands. I was informed that she is a new massage therapist and graduated not too long ago. I complained to the receptionist and she just advises that I choose someone else next time (like Adriana who my sister and mom really liked) and get a deep tissue massage.

I had an 80 minute massage here, with Adriana, and really enjoyed it. I was very comfortable. She was very attentive to what I wanted and it was very relaxing. The facility was very clean and nice, and it includes a relaxation retreat for you to relax in before or after the massage. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. I will definitely be coming back here for my next massage.

I am a bit of a spa junkie, so have had massages all over the world, and I can honestly say, my massage with Adrian at Spavia Ann Arbor, last week, was one of the best massages I have ever had! While I love a good firm massage, I have persistent low back pain and am super sensitive to any level of pressure in that area. As such, I always tell my therapist to go super light on my low back, but I still want that area massaged because I feel like I really need it. Normally...it is pretty agonizing when the therapist gets to that area, even with lighter pressure (I just grin and bare through it though, thinking this will help relax those muscles and make me feel better!). This time, like I always do whenever I get a massage, I explained this to Adrian, and not only was she very cognizant of this during the massage, but much to my surprise, by the end of my massage, my low back did not hurt AT ALL when she touched that area! I do not know what Adrian did during that massage, but her technique was PHENOMENAL! I couldnt believe it, as I have NEVER had that happen in a massage! Adrian is amazing, and I look forward to finding a therapist like her, where I live (in Ohio)! Thank you Adrian, for a wonderful, and super relaxing, experience! If I am ever back in Ann Arbor, I will definitely be back in to visit you!PS. The icing on the cake is that I loved everything about this spa...especially how they encourage you to leave the worries of the world, outside the spa, and truly retreat into relaxation. It was just one hour...but I felt completely rejuvenated after! Thank you Spavia!

Just had my first massage at Spavia and it was by far the best spa experience I’ve had. I had my massage with David and he was awesome! I already can’t wait for next months service! I even won a free foot treatment for their Black Friday gold envelope promotion! Everyone there is friendly and helpful, and the spa is very clean and so peaceful. David was professional and really made me feel comfortable! I’d definitely recommend!

Very nice welcoming staff, clean and relaxed atmosphere. Had an 80 min. deep tissue massage done by Eva, and was blown away by her skillful Chinese technique. Best massage Ive ever received! She hit all the pressure points very skillfully, it was very relaxed but firm, the whole massage felt very cohesive and beneficial. Went away feeling less stressed, relaxed and rejuvenated. Definitely will be back soon!

Spavia delivered on everything I look for in a day spa! Welcoming staff, clean facilities, relaxed atmosphere and VERY skilled therapists. I will definitely be going back. Also, if you are looking for a different type of massage therapy (not your traditional Swedish massage) I suggest requesting Eva. She utilizes a Chinese Acupressure approach that combines muscle relaxation with stretch therapy, pressure point activation and more. I will ABSOLUTELY be going back!

My first visit with a few friends for a birthday celebration. Great Service, relaxing atmosphere, top level professionalism and cleanliness, best massage and body treatment Ive ever had!

I usually really like Spavia, and their services are great. However, I called to cancel an appointment 4.5-5 hours in advance due to an emergency situation, and was told of a cancellation policy I’d never heard of. I understand that cancellations are a nuisance for a business, and that cancellation policies are often in place to prevent them. Unfortunately, I was not made aware of the policy that charges 50% of the service price if a cancellation is made within 24 hours, and if they’re unable to fill the appointment spot. I’d be happy to pay this had the mistake been mine, but I checked all my appointment confirmations, their website, etc., and I was unable to find any listing of this policy (the cancellation policies I found were in reference to memberships and “spalebrations” only). To be clear, it’s not an unreasonable policy in my mind; what is unreasonable is that there is no mention of it anywhere (that I’ve been able to find), and that I was a bit blindsided by the amount of money it would cost me when I was trying to be considerate.

I had made an emergency last minute appt for myself and my future mother in law to have our eyebrows waxed. Needless to say we were late and we were still accommodated and they treated us with so much care and respect. The spa is so relaxing and they are priced well. I was happy with our results and the overall experience. I highly recommend.

Everything was wonderful from the great customer service to the relaxing atmosphere, the amenities, to the treatments, and the knowledgeable technicians. They are very communicative leading up to your appointment and very friendly when greeted at arrival. There’s a form you get to fill out asking you what kind of music and scents you like for your experience and they even ask you what type of conversation level you prefer. That is especially my favorite part because there is nothing worse than trying to relax when someone is talking to you. They also didn’t try upselling me at every point, which was another refreshing aspect of my visit. They have all options outlined on their website as most spas do, so I get a little stressed out when that happens, which goes against the whole point of the visit.Con: One little thing - I would actually give 4.5 stars if possible. The description of the Age Defying Facial on their website states that it comes with a complimentary neck and shoulders hot stone massage. I feel like that is very deceiving because I don’t recall the use of any hot stones and the massage lasted all of maybe 10 seconds. There was a long, slightly awkward period where I was just lying there while the moisturizer was “doing it’s thing”. That would have been the perfect time to incorporate a little extra massage and would have really tied the whole experience together perfectly. With that said, my technician did a fabulous job. She was very knowledgeable and my skin felt great afterwards. I will definitely visit Spavia again.

Eva Long is the reason I signed up for a spa membership at Spavia. Eva specializes in Chinese Acupressure, an amazing treatment which targets pressure points- in my opinion, it is similar to a specialized deep tissue but better! Eva is kind, has a ton of energy & an intuition for healing that I have not come across with any massage therapist. When you leave, your body, mind & spirit are calm. Thank you Eva!

Facial was nice. However, I filled out the customer profile at the location. Just minutes before my therapist started. It included my allergies which included pineapples. The girl that did my facial ( clearly DID NOT review the customer profile). She used a pineapple scented product on my face. Luckily, I inquired about the scent and I immediately told her that pineapples are on my list of allergies. Although she did remove the product. She informed me about how weird it was to be allergic to pineapples and how she never heard of such thing. As if I asked to be allergic to pineapples. Highly disappointed in my experience at Spavia.

At Spavia I truly feel that I am paying for an experience, not a treatment. The environment, staff, massage therapists, and estheticians create an incredibly relaxing visit every time I am there. The space that they have created forces me to release from my day to day stressors and thinking and simply breath. As I was taken through their individually tailored treatment the world fell away for 90 minutes and it was quite incredible to say the least. Thank you for all that you guys do for my health physically and mentally and I look forward to my next day spent with you all at Spavia.

Awesome!!! I had knots on knots; neck, shoulders, arms and lower back. Those gals are miracle workers. The atmosphere is so calming and they carry some of my favorite oriental teas.

The entire place was clean and very relaxing. I especially liked the warm lavender pillows before the massage. My sports massage was great and really helped with some of my upper back issues.

I have never been more relaxed in my life than after my visit at Spavia. My friends gifted me the facial and massage package via groupon because Ive had a stressful couple of weeks, and my life has been forever changed. My masseuse was Eva, and I cannot recommend her enough! I had such an amazing time that I became a monthly member on my way out. I cant wait to go back again! Every moment from the second I walked in was an amazing experience, please consider giving Spavia a try for yourself!
