Staff do not pay attention to the needs of the patients and do not notify families when their condition changes. My gram has had 3 strokes while at this place and we were never notified any time. We only knew because she was coherent enough to tell us when we visited or we noticed a change in her movement and speech.I went to visit today and she was sitting in a chair in the hallway crying. Staff ignoring her calls for help.Upon my arrival I was told “finally someone who knows her”Here she sits crying in the hall waiting for helpI asked them for help and was told she was just moved to the floor and they don’t know what she needs or how she eats yet so they can’t move her…just left to sit in the hall until someone decides to help her.Unreal the lack of compassion each nurse that I spoke to hadJust there for a paycheck with no care for patients

If I could leave no stars I would. My mother has had 3 strokes in less than 2 weeks in their care and they have failed to notice. Family has had to tell them. They are horrible to patients unless family is in the room. Have seen it first hand when they do not realize others are in the room.

Do all you can.. to everyone you can...every chance you can. I had that day today as I was able to calm a worried resident and he asked me to feed his birds outside as last year I hung a bird feeder outside for him...and yes he gave me a soda bottle today filled with bird seed😚. He also remembered his cartoon cutouts from the Sunday paper he loves share...and most importantly I was able to keep his mind stimulated with just a simple visit. Thats all it takes just a few minutes to reach out.

I have been trying to reach the person in the HR department for a few days. I am not looking or a job , i am trying to help someone get into an apartment. Individual needs help accessing their ADP to get paychecks and HR has not called or reach-out to myself or the individual to assist. Her voicemail says she will return your phone call 24-48 hrs. I understand that HR is busy i am just asking her to reach out. thank you.

This place is responsible for the death of my father! They should be shut down! My father came here without COVID. Due to their lack of care or any attempts at preventing the spread of COVID it has infected several people at this nursing home. It is unacceptable! How many more elderly have to die? Hudson Park didn’t even have the decency to tell me my father had COVID. The ER called and told me! They also told me my father was admitted for several falls without my knowledge in the past. When I asked Hudson Park they lied and said they contacted me. They just care about getting as much insurance money as they can. They never called to offer condolences when my father was in ICU. Absolutely the most heartless people I have ever encountered.

The staff works HARD to ensure resident needs are met. I happen to be a recent hire and I love working at HPRNC. We ALL care and love/appreciate our residents. I happen to be an intern right now. The fact that my colleagues and ESPECIALLY my boss understand my absence most of the time shows that we care and will make up for my time spent away.💛❤

My sister has lived at Hudson Park for 3 years. She is developmentally disabled with an IQ of 69. She was admitted against her will when 2 hospital attending physicians certified that she was not competent to administer her medication regimen at home. She had been hospitalized for diabetic kesodosis near death because she unilaterally stopped taking medication that she erroneously believed was detrimental to her condition. My sister is difficult, hostile and confrontational generally. The staff at the facility have always been respectful to her and professional in every way. I have never observed the conduct that poll so many negative reviews speak of.HPR&N was the only facility which offered to accept my sister as a long term (age 69) medicaid resident. Like many nursing homes Hudson Park experiences staff shortages from time to time. So meals may be late or patient comfort may suffer somewhat. While I wouldnt rate it five stars, I think three plus is amore appropriate measure of my experience as a weekly visitor.

Forget bringing anything nice in for your loved one, clothes or otherwise. They will be lost or stolen. My loved one was sent to hospital in t-shirt and pajama bottoms with light cotton blanket. The temp was 25 degrees outside! Never received the clothes I bought this person for Christmas. And the facilities are dirty.

Horrible Place !!!! Not as bad as Diamond Hill , but running a close 2nd. My aunt waiting over 2 hours for her lunch. Sent my dad to go and see where it was and staff was on their phones, and talking, doing nothing. Staff is rude. They refused to take my aunt to rehab one day, said family member said she didnt have to go . My aunt said she did and they still didnt take her. She sits in a dirty diaper for HOURS. Bed sores, neglect, dirty gloves under bed, elevator has been broken for weeks. WHY DO THEY THINK ITS OK TO TREAT PEOPLE LIKE THIS . WELL ITS NOT. Someone needs to investigate.

HORRIBLE, the hospital sent my grandmother there to learn to walk again and it was not good. Staff was rude and took 10 minutes to get there to go to the bathroom, understaffed, not comfortable for elders, they offer lots for them to do but thats alls that good. 1 bathroom for 4 people. No phones there only tv. And all the rooms are double unless you cant control yourself around people. Stinks and very dirty

Find another place for your loved one! High turnover creates warehouse situation. My mother passed away there last year so I feel I can now review this facility. She had no choice but to go there. The 4th floor was horrible. Daily, most were moved into the day room and ignored. I found her in the hall with a soaked diaper that had wet through her sweatpants. They didnt alert me to her weakening condition. It was an outside nurse paid for by her insurance that called me and let me know. Our family was able to travel there before she passed. They never told us what we needed to set up for when she passed. So, they harassed me with another phone call 2 hours after they notified me of her passing (right around change of shift which was a common time for them to call) to tell me that her body was bothering her roommates. We had never been told to arrange a funeral home. The staff is undervalued and I am sure underpaid for the work they need to be responsible for. Over the 3 years she was there, we would find shining stars in the staff, only to have them leave very quickly. Poor, shoddy way to run a business and care for human beings.

My Uncle was there for a month. The day I went to visit the place smelled like combo of bleach and urine. When visiting a man in the another bed stood up stark naked came over to my uncles bed fell down and peed on the floor. It took the staff at least 30 mins to get someone in to pick him up. The mattress he was on was too small for him. He constantly said They took hours to take care of his medical needs. I would stay far away from this place if you can.

My family member was only there for 1 week and a gold ring was removed from his hand, his clothes went missing, the room smelled liked 10 yrs of old piss, the room TV was missing buttons to use it correctly. The place building is under construction at this time. The staff was nice but there is a sense of no responsibility when it comes to making sure that the residents belongs return back to them from the laundry room. I recommend to do your familys laundry versus them. When on the 2nd floor the housing didnt look that bad, when transferred to the 4th a whole new world of stinky rooms and beds that looked like there had been there for 10 plus yrs.

If I could give them a zero I would. The place smelled so badly and I cried having to leave my loved one there. We had no choice. No other bedsThey would leave my stepfather in bed or just sit him out in the hallway alone. It was so sadThey told me he was choosing not to eat. After he was hospitalized it turned out he had an aspiration and he hurt when he ate. Do not go here!!! The place is a prime example of the need for reform for our seniors. I dont want to hear about the over worked and under paid bs because we all are. This place like many charge 10k per month and they cant/wont hire people who can do their jobs. Patients sitting in their own waste, dirty rooms, employees complaining about having to do something and treating the job like its a burden. But well throw some paint on the walls and change a few light bulbs and all of a sudden its a great place to be. Just wait for the next law suit and then theyll change the name and claim its under new management and well have to post the same bad reviews again. Lol.We need reform to protect our families and ourselves from these corrupt corporate practices.

If i could give 0 stars i would. My mother has been living here for 4 months. Twice her clothes have gone missing and no one has any explanation or takes responsibility for it. I have spent hours trying to find out why this keeps happening and everyone just passes the blame. My mother also appears to have only been given 2 showers in 4 months. They say its because she refuses.. well so do little kids but you still make them bathe. Im appalled at the lack of responsibility and angry when the staff deflects and no one takes charge of any issues that we have. Im over it. I will be contacting a lawyer and then maybe then someone will have answers for me. I will be taking my mother and moving her to another facility asap. Ok so today 6-13-2018 i went to try to get answers from the facility in regards to my mothers2 missing laundry. Again we were met with indecision and lack pf responsibility. While speaking to human resource i received a call from the social worker Katie saying that the building isnt responsible for my mothers missing clothes...Then Who IS?????

As the nurse practitioner of the rehab unit I feel that the reviews DO NOT reflect the care our patients and residents receive. This is a nursing home and rehabilitation center, it is made for those who either need long-term care placement or short term rehab , after a hospitalization. The goal of any rehab facility is to get your loved one/patient back to their “baseline” function and assure that they are safe to return to their living situation prior to the hospitalization that intern resulted in a short-term rehabilitation stay. I can assure you that the staff that I work with give 100% of their hearts to provide the best possible care to these residents daily. They treat the residents as they are “family”.I am made aware immediately when there is a concern with a resident. We are equipped to provide many complex therapies such as venipuncture, X-ray, antibiotic therapy, and Clysis/IV therapy, amongst many other advanced treatments prior to sending your loved ones to the hospital where they are more prone to attain a nosocomial infection. Short term rehab “IS NOT” hospital level care. We are able to provide many of those therapies, but to qualify for admission, the resident has been cleared by the hospital of not needing that “hospital” level of care and they are sent to us for therapies such as PT/OT/SPEECH/WOUNDCARE/ and continuum of antibiotic therapy. The residents should be working towards being as independent as they can be with the assistance of those therapies to get them back to there “baseline”, if possible, in order to make for a safe discharge to home. Interdisciplinary family meetings are held frequently where concerns are discussed and with our very dedicated social workers, miracles are made to accommodate the needs of our patients so they do not have to transition to long term care. In the event that your loved one needs a higher level of care and is unable to return there previous living situation, we make every attempt to make the transition as smooth as possible in making “Hudson Park” there now forever home. Our building is currently under renovation and is being transformed to a modern, brighter, cleaner, environment. Having a building FULL of residents and doing a “complete” rehabilitation of the aesthetics had been a challenge for all but the end goal is to make it as beautiful, clean, comfortable, and as much like “home” for those who call Hudson Park “Home”.In terms of our staff, I’ve worked 16 years in a multitude of settings from private office, hospital, rehab/nursing, operating room, ICU, ED, and last but not least substance abuse treatment. The staff work I observe everyday is some of the best I’ve seen in all my years and facilities I’ve worked in. On my main floor, which is the second floor/rehab, I watch the staff provide thorough, safe, resident focused care. The staff works endless hours, doubles, overtime, and holidays to give there love and care to your loved ones instead of choosing to be home with there own families. At Hudson Park, EVERYONE is family! We work together to provide your loved ones any and everything that we can within our realm of practice and ability. Nobody likes to see there loved one sick or unable to care for themselves but unfortunately after even just a few days during a hospital admission can weaken a patient to the point they need an “extra boost” and longer duration of therapy to achieve the strength and safety they need to ultimately be discharged back to there prehospital living situation. We are able (if appropriate) to set up the services your loved one may need in order to do this. Our goal is to provide SAFE, comprehensive care, with the “Love and Care” your family member needs while they are admitted to our facility.Hudson Park offers some of the capital regions best doctors, nurses, CNA’s physical therapists, occupational therapists and social workers. I’ve never had a job that I didn’t dread going to in the morning. Since I’ve worked here, I look forward to going to work and Love ALL my co-workers! We are a TEAM!! I love Hudson Park! P

This place is HORRIBLE! Corporate is ONLY concerned with increasing their income. Corporate/administration could careless about the staff or working conditions. Staff try very hard but supplies and help from administration are bare. When several concerns were brought to Jim Caligiuri (the administrator) by a CNA his reply in front of several other employees, residents and family members was You dont like it, go work at Walmart. This is no way to treat anyone. If compassion isnt shown to staff how do you expect staff to have compassion for the residents? You can tell a lot about a team by looking at its leader!

This is the last place u want a loved one. I would say only 25 %of the staff really cared. My mom was sick I will amit. But the level of care for her in her final moments was just awful. The most caring nurses were the ones who worked in a real hospitals but worked Hudson park per diem. The aids at nightAre the worst. So many times I went to the nurses station when my mom or her room mate needed help And thier light was on for a half hour. Do not place a love one here as thier final moment.
