Best facility around. Been to many places in the Albany area to visit family in therapy and this is by far the best ones. Nice facility and best therapy. Workers really care about their patients and are great.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. Run from this place. Do not send anyone you love there. They are unprofessional, abusive and totally incompetent. This place is hell on earth!

My recent stay at Daughters of Sara was filled with compassion, empathyAnd friendship. The care I received enabled me to progress beyond myMeans. I will always be thankful to the Rehabilitation team Meagan andCarol (GiGi) and all the staff on the Green Unit, especially CNAs Tonia andShanna. Without their continuous support I would not be where I am today.

This place made my loved family member suffer by letting her sit towards the wall and taking her ways to alarm nurses

My mom was treated with dignity and respect during her entire stay at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing home and rehab center. We were so impressed with the staff from aides to nurses, nurse manager and the director of nursing. They helped our entire family as we worked through a very difficult time - all with empathy and compassion. We are grateful for the compassion, leadership and loving assistance that was directed towards both my mother, my siblings and me.

Disastrous day program. The yentas that pretend to run it, gossip and do nothing productive all day. Lousy food preparations and often no food is offered. Awful. Do NOT use this service.

My friend retired after 40 years of nursing. She was from the old school. Each night she ironed a fresh uniform, answered call lights and worked with everyone. She was the kind of nurse you would want caring for your mother. She was never written up. Her co workers gave her gifts they could not afford. The outpouring of love and respect was overwhelming. Management did nothing. When management doesnt recognized a distinguished career it has a head without a heart. I have watched benefits erode, heard crass jokes from the corner office and seen a constant turnover of staff. The place needs a new head. How do you want to be treated at your retirement?

Hit and miss, mostly miss, care with serious problem of understaffing and lack of staff supervision and the use of outside agency personnel who dont know residents or normal nursing home procedures. Many disillusioned and embittered staffers who see cost cutting going on at the expense of resident care. Weekends the worst. Often have to hunt down aides, who often seem to be hiding from those theyre suppose to serve. Many aides with resentment attitude, like theyre doing you a favor by doing their jobs. Doctors a rarity. Mixups frequent. Food service ridiculous, slow, inefficient, sometimes desserts served before entree. Place is dirty with deteriorating infrastructure. Was a painful embarrassment to residents family.

Nursing staff put my grandmother in the wrong ward and left her alone, without access to a call button for the nurse (they threw it under the bed) and left her legs swollen until a family member visited and tracked down a nurse. Dont put your loved ones through this awful, mismanaged place.

I was unfortunately forced to move back to M.A due to personal reasons however, my experience at daughters was quite wonderful actually. I worked on the blue unit and met a lot of really great c.n.a.s and nurses. The environment for me was not what I was used to but I adapted quickly due to great teamwork and good management. If you struggled with getting your people to bed, you could ask one of your co-workers and they would always help, overtime was readily available if needed most of the time being able to choose where you want to go. Honestly speaking, working there for however short a period of time that it was, has made a lasting impression and I would recommend anyone who is in the area to try it out. I loved it and I am sad I had to leave. 5 stars through and through.

Rehab unit was awesome so she decided this would become her home. Nightmare in Red unit. Pt complained of pain in buttocks Head Nurse stated skin was fine. Actually had an open area. Fell out of wheelchair in hallway , lay there until a visitor came out of room to her repeated calls and then searched unit to find help , everyone was on break. Ended up with black eye and skin tear on arm. Not sent to Er per Pt. The clincher took Pt stocking off foot and found her leg to be bright pink and cold, she had been complaining of leg pain severe at night and dr ordered neurontin. She had PAD ( diagnosed at new facility) with gangrene of foot. No aide even reported change, and headnurse said in her chipper way”guess she has peripheral vascular disease. If you hate you family member send them here. And the food stinks!!! 5 stars to financial department bill was never late.

Staffing is horrible. And the food is horrible. There is a serious shortage of CNA’s at this facility. I think the staff is over worked and under paid. My mom was here for rehab. Worst place ever !!!

My mother had total knee replacement and when a bed opened up we took it. We were on the dementia unit for three days until rehab bed became available, and I can say the CNAs and nurses were wonderful. Kind, caring and compassionate. They were so helpful and truly very kind. I was amazed. I had read the poor reviews, and I found a completely different atmosphere. The rehab unit was the same great CNAs and nurses. The rehab therapists were outstanding, jenniferlynn amanda are upbeat, motivating, kind and wanting the best for my mother. They are so good, she is coming back for her outpatient therapy. As a registered nurse myself who has worked in nursing homes, I cannot say enough good things about everyone we came into contact with and the care my mother received.

The day before my mom died. She fell out bed in her back they said the bar broke on bed. I went early morning one day and her door was closed she was crying I pushed door open and here they had her sitting on camode and they were forse feeding her. I told them to get out of her room. When she died they actually went in her roo and stole from her. NOT A GOOD PLACE..

My mother was here to recuperate from hip replacement surgery. The staff was inattentive to her needs and she ended up soiling herself while waiting for staff to help her go to the bathroom. At night, she was often left on a bedpan for HOURS at a time. Horrible place. The rehab part was good, though - they really helped my Mom get back on her feet.

Horribly staffed. All of the good nurses end up leaving because of the lack of care that residents recieve. Most long term staff are unhelpful and uncaring.

Im a former employee there i left in march 2016 i shall say my time there was the worst experience ever there understaffed only care about the money and the unit managers like nadiene on blue she would talk about her staff to other staff she would favoritism certain people she is not good to work with the unit manager on gold is okay but her assistant melissa coones is horrible she says rude things like when are you going to quit they let her daughter work there 2 the worst decision now the nurse fred and charee they cool i liked them and ligua she is nice to they often serve the same meals over again and they often mess up food orders they underpay there staff they would leave 3 people on the hardest unit on a evening shift that means some people arent getting changed they just dont care at all to them its just money but dont put your loved one on the gold unit there was a girl name carissa who was working there she used to leave all her residents pissy they didnt say anything for a while u would think they care but im off this
