If there were a 0 star rating, I would use it. This place is a joke, sloppy nursing work, inattentive and unprofessional staff! My 84 year old mother was discharged from the hospital to this facility for PT and due to delirium/confusion. She suffered TWO falls in less than a 24 hour period! The 2nd fall was accompanied by a large laceration to her head (can you say subdural hematoma?)! Had it been left up to them, she wouldve been put to bed, no stitches, no CT scan and very possibly stroked out in her sleep from any blood that could have been pooling on the surface of her brain. The staff did not even consider taking her to an emergency room until I threatened to call my attorney about the horrible care. Mind you, she was only admitted there for 4 days. We removed her from their care after the second fall and ER visit. We have not been able to obtain her medical records or the incident reports concerning her two falls (imagine that). No worries though, the negligence will all come to the light in due time using the legal system. Negligence at its very best is being displayed at this death trap of a facility! If your loved one is bed bound, they might have a chance of survival since they cant hurt themselves too much. If they are able to ambulate, stay away! Getting in contact with the management is nearly impossible. No one has an email address that they will share or voice mail. I guess these modern day tools would harbor too much proof of the problems going on at this place. Talk about a back woods, behind the times, country bumpkin cesspool of inadequacy! Medicare should shut this place down, seriously.

This place is awful and their staff is very rude and unprofessional. If there is another choice please use it because you will be sorry later. I dont recommend this facility at all.

My mother was moved here after she had a stroke. The rehabilitation staff worked with her and restored some of her function and now she is a long term resident. No longer able to live on her own.Everyone Ive dealt with is just fantastic.Admission was simple. The finance department helped us get Medicaid for my mothers care and the nursing staff and the administrator, Mrs. Barnes has been very helpful with hands-on action. This help has been continuous and ongoing. It is somewhat difficult to reach specific employees by phone since there is only one phone number. But they respond to Email very quickly. And cell numbers are available.I cant say enough about how pleased I am with them. (This is important because I live almost 600 miles away.)The facility has been remodeled and is both modern and clean. The food is usually good (not always according to mom) and there are enough activities. The activities are very imaginative and they are enjoyed by a large percentage of the residents. The staff tries to pair residents up with other like minded residents. Like in the case of my mother...Some one else that likes the room to be very cool.Mom gets a shower every day. And she goes to the in house beauty salon about once every 6 weeks. There is nothing as nice as this that Ive found that is covered by Medicaid any place else. Certainly not in South Florida.Do not hesitate to visit Wynfield.Youll be pleased with what you find.I have no idea why the reviews are all very positive or very negative. Nothing in between. No care facility can be perfect.I find it very interesting that a few of the people that gave this place just one star have NO OTHER REVIEWS . Anywhere. About any other place or business. They seem to be a couple of disgruntled x employees and someone that posted a 1 star review just because they felt slighted by a single phone conversation.I find that to be most unfair.

Ive had family here and family work here too. This place used to be amazing, stake dinners for theyre residents. Thats changed over times, it now being horrible. Some of the things Ive heard or just terrible and I feel legal action should be taken. Ive heard of residents having to go the hospital because they were dehydrated because of dementia and the nurses not ensuring the reminding to drink. This place should be restaffed from the ground up besides the handful of people I know are worth anything.

The verbal abuse goes unchecked. CNAs boast about being reported without consequence. The director of nursing will investigate but ultimately never does anything. Good CNAs have fled. If you care about your loved ones, DO NOT put them in this facility.

Thank you doesn’t say it enough. Our Gramps was registered with Wynfield a few days ago after experiencing a fall and getting sent to the hospital. Prior to the fall, he wasn’t taking his medication properly, wasn’t getting enough exercise, and was not eating correctly. My wife and I have gotten married and returned from the honeymoon, and Gramps has VISIBLY changed for the better. He is speaking more clearly, looks healthier, and is in better spirits than when I saw him last.I thanked the sweet ladies at the front desk, but I hope every Wynfield staff member reads this. It takes patience and a loving heart to do what you guys are doing and you DON’T KNOW how much our family appreciates it. God has a special place for you guys. Thank you so much for caring!!God Bless all of you!

I’ve worked for Wynfield park and I can tell you that I enjoyed the good and the bad days there because it didn’t matter what race or religion we did treat everyone one with respect and the first floor you may have a difficulty time with them, because you have old CNA’S that’s been there for ever trying to be RN’S and haven’t passed the test trying to run other CNA’S and when the floor short they need to be working but other than that I enjoyed it and would go back because I really liked what I do and that’s helping others.....

My grandmother recently had a stroke and was transferred here from Phoebe. After only two full days, her condition has regressed. They do not bathe the residents daily, only 3 out of 7 days, do not turn them regularly to prevent bed sores and are not attentive to their needs; after sitting with her for more than three hours, no nurse came to check on her. There needs to be an increase in staff to accommodate the patient ratio. Needless to say we are removing her and placing her elsewhere for her rehabilitative care. Please do your research before choosong this place.

I used to work there in August 2017. I quit 3 months in because I couldnt take the racism. The nurses, and some CNAs, were very racist and mean. Some CNAs would be rude and mean to the residents. I do not recommend this place, not to mention there was a bad roach problem!!

I work for a church in Albany, I called twice today to check on room numbers for some of our members who had been transferred there. Both times, the lady who answered the phone (which was the same one) gave me the information I needed and then when I said thank you she hung up without saying your welcome, thank you, kiss my foot, or anything.
