What is the point of a health center is the dont help people get better. Referred me to urgent care for some sniffles. If I could make sure my tuition doesnt pay these peoples salary I would. Find a local GP, youll be better off.

I couldnt even make an appointment. They hung up on me in the middle of the call and I called back multiple time and no one answered. Dont waste your time trying to go here.

Made an appointment and was still turned away because I tried to check in 5 minutes late. I am having intense stomach and back pains, nausea and cant walk that well which is why I was late. I explained to the lady at the check in desk and to the appointment nurse, and they said the best they can do is give me a list of medications and tell me to go to urgent care. What is the point of making an appointment just to be turned away BECAUSE OF YOUR AILMENT. The UAlbany Health Center needs to rethink how they treat their patients because I am now being forced to go to the hospital and spend money that I dont have on a hospital bill that I cant afford.

Misdiagnosed, then when I called back, I was hung up on mid sentence.They do not provide flu or strep exams, so if you think you have either, do not go.Dr was nice, but again, misdiagnosed and missed my window for tamiflu.Additionally, had pneumonia which wasn’t even looked into at this site. Horrible and will not return.

Idk what everyone’s talking about.. they were super nice and took care of me pretty quickly. Obviously you have to make an appointment first I’m not sure why that upset some of the other reviewers.

I gave 1 star because or else I cant post the review but I honestly DO NOT want to give any stars to this place. My daughter was throwing up sick, crying and the girl who BTW took a while to greet her just told her she cant be seen that she needs an appointment. She was rude and dismissive. What is the purpose of this place if a student is sick and cant even be seen. Who can possibly have the right mind set to go in the internet and read about their appointment policies and make an appointment when they wake up so sick throwing up. I think they need to reconsider how they do services and add walk-ins especially for these students who most of them are trying to take care of themselves on their own when they are sick. The supervisors or directors of this place need to train their staff to be more compassionate, kind and have a better bedside manner to patients. Is it that difficult to be nice and direct the students in a kind and polite way as to where they should go, since they cant give them Student health service especially when they are sick. Oh no, that will be too much effort. Thats why the world gets worse and worse because nobody wants to be nice to anyone lately. I had to direct my child from miles and miles away to go to an Urgent Care I found in the internet located in the same building. Great place BTW. They took care of my daughter so well. Perhaps the Student Health Center needs to be trained by the Urgent Care on how to take care of patients. Simply the worst experience! So very disappointed at the so called Student Health Center the University offers to the students. What a waste of space and services!

Told my roommate who was throwing up and dizzy that she couldnt see a doctor because they didnt have a time slot open for her and that she needs to make an appointment. I dont understand why the dont have a nurse on call. She also had a midterm that day and the woman over the phone said she couldnt give her a note. My roommate is visibly very ill and you dont need a doctor to examine her to confirm shes sick. So not only is she sick shes stressed because she has a midterm. This school needs to do better at servicing their students. People wake up and feel sick sometimes - dont penalize them for something they cant control

Honestly if i could give it no stars I would. I have never been in a more uncomfortable situation than the womens health center. 9/10 of the staff are rude, un-compassionate and judgmental. Terrible quality of care.

Dont know why staff has to sound rude and stern over the phone, making people uncomfortable to visit.

I was taken care of when I was sick. There is a shuttle bus that connects the campus and this hospital, but be careful as there are not many buses.
