Albany Surgical is the best surgery center!! I had reflux surgery and Dr. Smith was my doctor. He is awesome, very caring, and an excellent surgeon. He treated me like family and that is very rare in the world today. Thank you Dr. Smith and Albany Surgical for taking such great care of me and my family.

Dr. Chris Smith has done 3 operations on me (now 67) over the past ~ 10 years...a Nissen, an inguinal hernia repair, and another (congenital) hernia repair. AFAIK, they were all done well...no problems, and a HUGE relief from the previous GERD which drugs had not resolved. He explained the procedures well, with a cute sense of humor. On one occasion, he worked me in just before year-end for the insurance cost benefit, and there was never much of a wait for surgery. Based on my good experience, I would recommend him very favorably.

Procedure went well. Came back for follow up and waited an hour and a half before leaving because there were several people ahead of me. Pack a lunch when you go here! Staff has no idea how to get you to your patient portal! They gave me an email address that goes to the site only doctors use to buy the program. The staff at this office need to go back to training and learn how to set up appointments and access their own patient portal.

My daughter recently had surgery to remove a serious infection (MRSA) and Dr. Davis did a great job. Knowing she was diabetic, he was very careful to ensure he got all the infection. A few weeks later, she had to have a skin graft which also went well and shes now been released from his care. Thanks Dr. Davis for possibly saving her life!

Should have done research shame on me . Practice has good reviews but should be able to review individual Surgeons. I have some not too pretty scars

HORRIBLE !!!!! Experience with Dr. Smith. Would not ever see him again, would not refer ANYONE to him. Loved his nurses, but felt sorry for them as they had to work with him. Pretty sure he violated my hippa rights as well.

Dr Smith fixed my GERD problems with the Linx device and Ive had no problems at all. However, he did a lap nissen on my daughter and she has had nothing but problems. Even two bleeds in her stomach both of which could have killed her each time.
