I always expect something wonderful to happen everyday of my life; with the exception of ALL THINGS DENTAL… A few weeks ago I finally gathered up a nerve to reach out to THE Smile Center. I sent the email and thought nothing more of it. I received a follow up call the very next business day from Janine. She scheduled me and sent my new patient paperwork via email… a few days passed and she followed up to make sure I received the paperwork and answered any questions in anticipation of my appointment. She even offered to resend the paperwork so I wouldn’t have to go searching through my emails (WOW). Today I went to my appointment and from the moment I walked in, it was like I was THE ONLY PATIENT in the office. The attention, care and concern extended was remarkableI have EXTREME DENTAL ANXIETY and within 5-10 min, no lie I didn’t even remember I was in the dentistEvery single person was personable, genuine and intentional about their service level. It was like being at a spa with a few great girlfriends. Dr. Frye thoroughly explained my treatment optionsTheresa answered all my follow up questions and was even able to get me scheduled for a cleaning today too. I mean they left no stone unturned and I was completely blown away. Sharetta the dental hygienist referred to them as “FANTASY DENTAL ISLAND” and I couldn’t agree more … seriously I have legit been smiling since I left…. Best experience ever and just as I was walking out Theresa was like hey take some flowers on your way out…WOW! WOW! I have been going to The Smile Center for over 20 years now. Not only are the doctors great (Dr. Parr and Dr. Frey) but the entire staff is excellent, and I always feel like part of the family! Also, they have the best Hygienist (Rebecca and Sharetta) in Virginia. Oh and one last thing, the girls are just so sweet, especially the one named Susan. She is my favorite assistant.

Dr. Parr and everyone at the Smile Center were amazing! Long story short, I had some heart arrhythmia happen one night and ended up passing out, hitting my face on the counter and breaking my front 3 teeth. I went to my local dentist in Suffolk and he recommended The Smile Center for crowns. I called them after my appointment and not only did they get me in right away but fixed everything the same day! I couldnt believe it. They were wonderful. Dr. Parr fixed me up good as new, I have my teeth again!

Recently, I returned to the Smile Center after an extended absence for much needed treatment. I found that although it had been a while, the entire staff treated me very cordial & professionally, which was quite reassuring because I was a little apprehensive. However, my experience was great and, they have my appreciation & recommendation.

Continuous laughs, personable and individualized service, genuine concern for all parts of your health, not just dental, and after my cleaning yesterday I was presented with a hot towel on a platter to clean my face 😊. I always enjoy myself go figure! 🥰🥰

Perfect location for me. Dr. Parr, and the staff are wonderful! His mannerism is exceptional! Warm, friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Detailed explanation of what your procedure will entail. I am soo grateful that I was able to be seen at an urgent and last minute situation. My implant procedure is almost at it’s completion, but with my temporary, I’ve taken advantage of EVERY opportunity to smile!!! I recommend The Smile Center to anybody who needs pretty much any type of dental work done. My mom has already joined me, and she’s happy!!

STOP!! Look no further for dental/ortho care. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE The Smile Center. The office staff (Theresa, Lauren, and Crystal) are so warm and friendly from beginning to end. I LOVE Dr. Frey and her team (Megan and Mallory) they treat you with patience and gentle care, but most of all, they definitely guarantee their work. They have a lovely view of the outside in their treatment room and if you dont want to look outside, you can look at HGTV while they attend to your oral needs. I have been going to The Smile Center for over a year and its not only for the treatment of my oral health, but also for the warm and loving reception I get every time I walk through the door. When youre there, you dont want to leave. They treat you better than family do!!

Dr. Parr and his team have been taking care of me for the last five years. No matter what issue pops up there was never a hesitation to take care of me. It’s great to feel the confidence when it comes to your teeth. His administrative team is just as good they are informative, proactive, courteous, and always know what to do. I really appreciate the text message updates and the email updates for my appointments because my day is on a stopwatch and thing may get away from me...I would recommend smile Center any day of the week and I was not paid for these comments these comments are of my own and nobody has influenced me or asked me to take the survey.

I have been going to The Smile Center for the past five years. When I first started going to them I found them through my insurance. After I did not have it any more I signed up for their Smiles for Life program. This offers two cleanings a year and x-rays. It was the perfect program for me because I have not needed to get any procedures done. I pay for a year ahead of time and get a month free.Throughout the time I have been going to The Smile Center Sharetta has cleaned my teeth. She is the type of person that lights up a room when she walks in. I especially love how she always remembers the things going on in my life. Doctor Parr is my Orthodontist, and is just as pleasant. Anyone that you meet in that office is willing and able to help you have a pleasant visit. They have warm drinks like coffee and tea, candy, and flowers for their customers to take, as well. I always look forward to The Smile Center experience when I get my teeth cleaning.

Dr. Parr and his staff are phenomenal. I recently had to have two fillings done, and the experience was completely pain-free. Their attention to detail and calm demeanor make all the difference in the world. In addition to having great clinical skills, the office staff does an excellent job as well. I am always seen promptly and never have to wait in the waiting room for more than a minute or two. You will not find a better dental team anywhere. I highly recommend them!

I came in for a tooth extraction (my current dentist does not perform them) and left out feeling like I had been to a family members home. I was not in the market for looking for a new dentist, but unexpectedly I think I found her in Dr. Frey. My first impression experience was top-notch. I honestly dont think it could be matched. I encourage you to just have your teeth cleaned. Your experience will change your notion on what you thought dentistry should be like.

All the staff are friendly and helpful.Dr. Parr is great and always takes the time to explain what needs to be done and makes you feel comfortable.Sharetta is a fantastic hygienist and always does a wonderful job.The office is nice and always clean. Never had any complaints about the service I have received.

From the front desk staff to the doctors and hygienists in the back, this is an awesome office. I loved the tv over my head while my teeth were cleaned. There were cushions on the chairs and I was brought a blanket when I said I was chilly. Later when I had more work done, I never had pain. An overall very nice experience. If I could describe The Smile Center in one word it would be PHENOMENAL!! From the front desk to the dental chair, youll receive the best service any business can provide. The facility is superbly clean and the atmosphere and environment is very comfortable and welcoming. Dr. Parr knows his stuff, to say the least, and is incredibly friendly, patient, and caring. The rest of the staff also have the most friendly and professional personalities Ive ever seen. The tools and techniques they use are advanced and top notch. I recently had a cleaning and a consultation for an implant. Rebecca did my cleaning and did an absolutely amazing job which I could not have asked for better. Susan was the other hygienist who did my crown and also did an amazing job and made me feel very comfortable and calm as I was visibly a bit nervous. Lauren helped me with my consultation for my crown/implant and made it an easy and stress free experience for me as well. Overall, I give them 5/5 stars and would give 10 stars if I could!

When you walk into The Smile Center you know youre in the right place. You are immediately greeted by the friendly, welcoming staff. Everyone knows your name. The waiting room is not your typical waiting room, it is big, open and airy. Not that you spend much time there anyway. The staff at The Smile Center are punctual, they have respect for your time and dont leave you sitting around looking at your watch.I am the third person in my family to go to The Smile Center. We heard such good things about The Smile Center that we took our oldest son there for braces. We were so impressed by the professionalism and attention to every detail from Dr. Frey and her entire staff that we took our youngest son there 6 months later. Now I am a client of The Smile Center, in braces. Also, our whole family has switched to The Smile Center for general dentistry from a dentist our family had seen for 20 years.One more thing: Last month I had a problem with the wire on my braces causing pain. The Smile Center was closed. I called and within an hour I was met there by the young lady that usually sees me for my braces and my problem was solved and I was out the door in less than ten minutes. My family has been going to the Smile Center for over 13 years. We are a military family and the smile center works with our insurance and takes great care of my family’s dental needs. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Frey takes great care in listening to what our dental and orthodontic needs are and we all feel extremely comfortable there.

This is the ONLY PLACE TO GO TO IF YOU HAVE A FEAR OF DENTIST!!!!! The staff is beyond knowledgeable, helpful, and walk you through every step. The entire staff is like having your best friend there, from the beginning to the end. Words cannot express what a great place this is and this is coming from someone who is beyond terrified of a dentist and their office. Dont believe, go in for yourself for a consult and find out. The chairs are comfortable, no weird dentist light, a direct light that is never in your eyes. While Dr. Frey is working on you. Just sit back, literally relax, and watch TV. Any cable show you want. Everyone stays up on their education and they DO NOT JUDGE YOU if you are not a twice a day brushing and a flosser. They educate you and encourage you not make you feel as though you are a child being scolded. Absolutely only place I will ever go, even if I move, I will still be coming here!!!!

I was going to be a customer for life, however while I was on vacation my voicemail stated I was out of the country. I missed my appointment and they won’t waive a $59 fee when I have spent thousands of dollars!!!!My mother is also a customer that you will be losing over $59...... it seems like you would treat your customer better and not be so greedy

Thank you so much! I called yesterday to get her an appointment to have a filling done by Dr. Frey and the receptionist was able to get my daughter in today @ 4:00pm. We were driving from Deep Creek Chesapeake Virginia (usually a 29 minute drive that turned into a 45 minute drive or so) so I called them at 3:50pm to them know that we would be late and GPS indicated that at that time we would arrive by 4:15pm for my daughters appointment! The receptionist said that was fine! She would let Dr. Frey know. We arrived at 4:21 pm and as I walked in Im thinking that we will have to reschedule due to being so late, And they close at 5:00pm , instead to my surprise, they were so happy we arrived and got my daughter to the back promptly, as well as, did a filling on a cavity and a tooth extraction for a baby tooth that would not fall out on its on! I am so pleased with the way that always ,no matter when we come in, Dr. Frey truly cares about her patients, her staff as well in return her staff cares about her patients. They do have up to date technology and the up to date expertise to handle the one part of your body (your teeth) that we all hate and 90% of patients either put off work either because of fear or its so uncomfortable, I would highly recommend Dr. Frey to anyone who needs a Dentist that listens, cares, will work with you because of your budget, calm all your fears, and knows what she is doing when it comes to beautiful teeth, filling cavities, tooth extractions, cleanings, bridges, crowns, veneers and braces or any dental work that you may need done. Bring the whole family you will be pleased. My daughter didnt like her last dentist at age 5 because he rushed and had very big hands and her fillings and mouth would hurt for days after procedures. Dr. Frey calmed her fears and works with my daughter to make her comfortable during procedures and has even worked on my teeth and made me very comfortable. The quality of work is 100%. Dr.Frey and her staff definetly deserve 5 stars or more thank you so much for making a big difference in my childs life as well my life and my husbands! All is very much appreciated! I wouldnt trust another dentist now that we have you working on our teeth! We do have a lot of issues that she has corrected, and she will be correcting in the future!

If I had known about this office, I would not have been terrified of going to the dentist. I have been a client of Dr. Freys since I moved here in 2006. She and her staff have always been so welcoming. They have always gone above and beyond for me and my family. She takes the time to get to know her clients and their needs. She also does great with clients who are fearful of dental procedures. She really takes the time to elevate those fears and concerns. They are always very professional, the office is very clean and always smells great. They take care of all my familys dental and orthro needs in one office.

Having a very poor experience at the dentist many years ago, I was always over anxious to make dental appointments; I had to get a dental implant and searched the internet for references. The Smile Center had excellent reviews, and the staff definitely lives up to the top star rating!

We have been coming here for many, many, many years. My grandson started coming here since he was three years old. He is now ten years old. The staff and the doctors are very approachable, they are friendly, and very knowledgeable of their duties. As soon as you walk into their front desk. You feel very welcomed because they make me feel comfortable. Rebecca is my hygienist, she is very professional, kind, and caters to each of her patients. Dr. Parr is very understanding, very respectful, professional, and very, very patience.What I didnt think that my hygienist who talks to me, and I did not think that she was not really listening. I happened to have mentioned to her that I loss a very special person in my life. The next few days I received a synphaty card signed by all the staff and their prayers.I did not expect a symphaty card with each staffs who wrote on the card. Scheduled to have a tooth removed. Went in for xray and care plan, left with antibiotics and scheduled appointment for a week out to come back and have a valium/nitrous cocktail and get the tooth out. So, while waiting for the valium to kick in the nurse says lets get the gas going to get this moving only to find out an hour after sitting there, they had NO GAS!. Honestly I wouldnt go back here, I had a care plan they did not adhere to, I paid up front a week prior, there is no privacy as I sat in a room waiting for the valium to kick in I listened to kids screaming at the top of their lungs. Dont schedule surgeries if your going to have small children freaking out in the room next to people, as a mother of 6 theres no amount of valium that will calm me while not one but 2 kids are screaming next to me. Im very disappointed in this place, took my money for a procedure, didnt have what was discussed and I still have a broken tooth and am out almost $400. The receptionist was super sweet, nice staff in general but no doors on the rooms, anyone can walk past and see you and whats going on in every room. Super upset that I dont like the dentist to begin with only to be let down by another who assured me they arent like the others.

Im very upset. Not only did they lie about my insurance being covered there they scheduled me for a 90 min consultation appt with xrays. They spent 30 mins talking to me about nothing then another 20 actually taking xrays and checking my teeth. I was out of there in under an hour and I never even got my teeth cleaned. They also told me they couldnt check to see what my insurance will cover bc they werent open yet... btw they were open. Nice place tho. Im sure its great if you dont have insurance. They did almost nothing and I get a $230 bill. awesome.

This dentist is the greatest there is omg.and the staff is also was so scared to have theeth pulled but they made me so comfortable I was fine n relaxed .they are awesome I had the biggest fear of going to the dentist but you can bet when I ever need to go back he better still be there cause its the only place I will go .
