Great dentist office. Had an emergency and they saw me the same day. I had to come back the next week to get a root canal and crown and Dr. Boylan was awesome. Weve brought my daughter to the Albemarle location twice and to the Mt. Pleasant location five times. This review is solely about the Albemarle location.My daughter was in need of a crown, which is generally broken down into two visits. Our first visit was at Mt. Pleasant, the second at Albemarle.Upon completion of services today, the young lady checking us out declared our balance for todays service to be $592.80. Her father maintains his credit card number on file to pay for these visits. The woman typed in his credit card number (incorrectly), then decided to loudly inform us and the other 6 patients his credit card was declined.Naturally, I call him from my phone while standing in front of her to inform him of the news, then hand my phone over to her. He tells her there should be no problem with it and to retype it in. She does, and magically, the card runs just fine.Does it occur to her that she should apologize after going out of her way to humiliate us in front of all of the patients? Not at all. On top of having a complete lack of respect for a patients privacy, it shows she also has horrible manners.I will not be bringing my daughter back to this location ever, and its my suggestion you do the same.

The receptionist is super friendly. Quick and painless cleanings. And my personal favorite they don’t try to talk to you when their hands are shoved down your mouth. 10/10 would recommend.

Our entire family has been going to Dr. Sharrock for approx. 25 years or ever since he opened the office on Mt. Pleasant Road. He has done cleanings, whitenings, fillings. root canals and crowns for us.All have been satisfactory and there have been no problems. Dr. Sharrock explains what is needed and why and from there it is your decision. There is no pressure. We have always been treated with the utmost respect from Dr. Sharrock and his entire staff. I am very pleased with my experiences at RB Comprehensive Dentistry. The staff is very friendly, as is Dr. Boylan. He is professional and great at what he does. During my second visit, Dr. Boylan fixed a cavity done by another dentist previously, and it was easy, fast and painless. Just yesterday, he placed an implant, of which I was very nervous about prior to because, obviously, the thought of a post being drilled into my jaw wasn’t very appealing. HOWEVER, he talked me through everything prior to and during the procedure. He and his assistant Grace kept me comfortable the entire time to assure I felt nothing. During the procedure he took his time and Grace took multiple images to assure proper placement, and to also be sure they stayed far enough away from the nerve, which I appreciated. I am one day post-op and I have zero pain. The area is a little sore to the touch, as expected, but I am not experiencing any pain or aches whatsoever. I go back in 2 weeks to have my stitches removed and then in about 7 months, I go back to have the implant (tooth) placed on the post, which is not anything I’m worried about. The part that gave me anxiety is already over and I am more than pleased with how smooth everything went. I would recommend this practice to anyone/everyone in Hampton Roads area- specifically those who live in or near Virginia Beach and/or Chesapeake where both his offices are located. Special shoutout to this team! They are great.

I am going to very honest. I have never liked going to the dentist, because I always had a bad experience, but now that they are my dentist I will never go to any others. Love the staff....always there to help answer questions or assist in any needs I may have. There is no judging by the dentist and in the past I have been judged, but Dr. Cox is outstanding, compassionate and understanding of all my needs. I highly recommend making them your family dentistry.

Dr. Bittner was wonderful but he retired and sold his practice this year. Unfortunately with Dr. Boylan as the new owner, this place is just not the same. None of the original girls at the front desk or the hygienists work there anymore. Before everyone would know your name when you walked in and everyone was so friendly. Now, it seems like they have a constant rotating staff and no one seems to know what is going on. I have had multiple appointments canceled or rescheduled with the new owners over the last few months. Also, they rarely answer their phones anymore. My last visit I had for a cleaning I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes and no one was at the front desk and the phones were ringing off the hook. The hygienist came out to get me and after my cleaning she wanted me to sign a form saying that I had agreed to the cleaning without a doctor in the building..... if something had happened there would have been no dentist there to fix it! Had I known this before I showed up for a cleaning I would have left. It appears that the new owner only wants to minimally staff his practice to keep costs down but this is at the expense of the staff who seem to constantly turn over and the patients who are leaving in droves. I will be finding a new dentist in the new year which is a shame considering I was a loyal patient of Dr. Bittner for the last 5 years.

While my first visit was for a cleaning and check up and it was a bit painful (my fault, for not going to the dentist in, like, forever) the dentist and assistants were very kind, helpful and tried their best to make it as pain free as possible. I got early service on every dental emergency. You can tell a great Dentist when you dont take any anesthetics for simple tooth fillings. This is where you can tell a good dentist from a bad dentist. Im very impressed with the service and his ability to do the job smoothly. Also, he doesnt get over committed like some others. Dental over commitment is when you sit in a chair forever with the assistant entertaining you, only to be shot up again when they return, when your visit was just a simple filling. If you are like me and what to get in and out fast, this is the place. I dont feel any pain and Im back to work without a droopy numb mouth and you don’t have to go back several times to get something adjusted. That’s my kind of Dentist

After 25 years in the Navy, and seeing a different dentist each time I had a check-up or a procedure, I luckily found an absolutely great dentist with Dr Harvey Glick. His professionalism, friendliness and superb comforting care were his trademarks. When his health started failing, he sold his practice. I thought Id never find a match to his care. With complete respect to Dr Glick, Dr Boylan proved me wrong. Besides a state-of-the-art approach to dentistry, Dr Boylan and all his staff make every office visit a most positive experience. They always make you feel like you are their #1 patient. Lightning has struck twice for me.

Started going here in March of 2019. I received a bill today March 2020 for a mistake they apparently made. I have been there 4 other times between the one year period and nothing was ever brought to my attention about owing any money as I paid in full each appointment. The bill I received had an amount with no date of the procedure and no description of what was done. I called to discuss and they informed me it was a mistake on their end from my first visit in March of 2019 and that it needs to be paid. If not paid it goes to collections in April. Notifying a patient For the first time a year later then telling them it goes to collections in a month is unacceptable.

Cant imagine ever going to another dentist!!! Over 20 years ago, after a lifetime of avoiding dentists I finally went to see Dr. Sharrock. As you could imagine, much work needed to be done on my teeth and I was scared to death. He took all my fears away, made the experience virtually painless and was such a comfort. Twenty plus years later, my teeth are in perfect shape and I go for my bi-yearly teeth cleaning like clockwork. I couldnt be happier. Dr. Boylan is young and inventive. I have been seeing him a little over two years now and believe he is the BEST DENTIST I have ever been to. My wife and I both go there and see the same hygienist Chaz, also wonderful. I had some terrible pain, he fit me in during his busy schedule as a last minute appointment and performed a root canal with virtually no discomfort. Looking for a Chesapeake dentist, this will be your only stop.

This place has gone downhill now that Harvey Glick is no longer the owner. The hygienists are always nice, but the new owner is a dismissive man who only seems interested in rushing you into getting as many fillings as possible.The shoddy job he did on my fillings caused additional cavities in the adjacent teeth, not to mention daily annoyance due to the large food-accumulating hole he left in one of my teeth where he drilled and only partially filled it. The new cavities and the botched fillings are now being fixed by a different dentist.

I was referred to this practice by a family member after experiencing a series of extremely weird moments at other dentist offices. I had my first appointment on 02/02 at the Albermarle location & I was pleasantly surprised! Everyone was so friendly, helpful, seemed to really enjoy their job, and it felt like Id known them forever. My hygienist was HILARIOUS and a great multi-tasker who kept my 5-year old occupied while treating me. I look forward to my next visit and plan to transfer my child to this office. Thank you all!

I had been seeing Dr. Tuggle before Dr. Boylan took over the practice, and I must say that everything transitioned smoothly and without a hitch! The hygienists at the practice (many of whom rolled over), all have excellent bedside manner and are always super friendly! New patient. The worst dentistry ive ever experienced. Mr. Boylan spoke to me with such disdain and the lack of professionalism was remarkable, he had a very weird silent vibe after the snide remarks. I heard many different rumors about this practice, but now I would highly recommend others to seek elsewhere. Guy is a creep.

Ive always experienced severe anxiety and panic when going to a dentist. However, when I went to Dr. Boylan, he had a calming, caring nature and explained everything to me. Finally, can be somewhat more relaxed even though my teeth need a lot of special attention.

Never again. I literally waited in the waiting room for over an hour but to absolutely no avail. My appointment was at 3:45pm and I will arrived at 3:30pm. When I arrived there were eight people already sitting down. “Wow, what a busy dentistry, I’ll wait, how long could the wait possibly be” is what I thought to myself. However I find it funny how people who came in after me were served, and people who complained of the wait were immediately served (ALL CAUCASIAN) Ridiculous. Hate to play the race card but why is it four people in the lobby right now and three out of the four are African American (including myself). As of right now it is 4:45pm mind you I have waited for exactly an hour and 15 minutes, absolutely unacceptable. Never again. I will stick with Greenbrier Dental (1059 Eden Way, Chesapeake, Virginia). Also, the police were in and out of this dentistry. Who needs Chesapeake Police at a dentistry. Definitely seems like a shady place, would not recommend. Customer service is piss poor to say thee absolute least, no apology for the wait, nothing. Ridiculous. I’m like really sitting here talking to the front desk receptionist and she is acting pure clueless. This office is sad, never again. They lost a patient that they could have very well had. To topit off there is a dental hygienist standing right in front of me on his phone. When I say never again I totally mean it! Any questions, please contact me! Never seen such sorry service in my life, and just look how Dr. Boylan responds to his reviews, totally unprofessional. Mind you police presence is still here. This is absolutely pathetic, definitely no Konikoff. Guess when you have to park on the grass, what can you really expect? I feel sorry for every single individual that works at this dump. Alright, I digress. Wow now a Virginia State Trooper walks in. I cannot make this up, what is really happening back there? This is almost comical oh my goodness, what a joke. No wonder I never heard of this dentist before. This is what happens when you google “cheap dentists in Chesapeake, Virginia”. You totally get what you pay for. I am seriously done with this review now and this dentistry for that matter. Mind you I was only getting my teeth looked at (sorry last thing). I was not even getting a cleaning and they already had my XRAYS (Greenbrier Dental sent them over). This is totally inexcusable like seriously.

I have been going to Dr. Sharrock for several years. I was looking for a new dentist, because I was having terrible tooth pain. I had seen two other dentists, and they had not been able to help. I was referred to Dr. Sharrock by a co-worker, and he diagnosed the problem right away! I have been going to Dr. Sharrock ever since! Everyone at the office is friendly and courteous!

The staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I go to the Mount Pleasant office and am very happy with my son and my dental care.

Everyone is very nice and they are extremely professional. You can get your x-rays completed in the treatment room and every dentist I have interacted with was knowledgeable, thurogh, and curtious.

My entire family goes to Dr. Sharrock. Dr. Sharrock takes his time with his patients, the hygienist are very thorough, and the office staffs professionalism is unsurpassed. Best Dentist in Chesapeake!

I had The worst experience towards the end but recently went to another practice in Virginia Beach . They tried to say my husband received work that he hadn’t and over charged him . When he was charged and called back they told him they would fix it and never did . Then while he was working he ask me to call and they can with HIPPA LAWS. Saying your not on his paper work. That was fine till he called and they still haven’t done it . I loved Kristie ans Grace they were amazing glad I could Meet them . Boylans refuse to call and talk or answer any of our questions . I mean I truly remember when he had no patients and me and my 2 year old at the time stayed when the original doctor left and later pass . I pray the word KARMA DOESNTCOME BACK AND HUNT HIM AND THAT NASTY NEW FRONT DESK PERSONNEL. It’s sad I would Never recommend them to another soul. Not to mention he sent me a letter of dismally after I already Told him we found a new dentist .

I have been going to Dr. Sharrock for over fifteen years now. Dr. Sharrock and his staff are understanding and professional. I would recommend Dr. Sharrock to anyone who is looking for a dentist.

Dr. Bittner sold his practice, new guy just isnt even close to a comparison. Do yourself a favor, find a different dentist .

Dr. Sharrock is an excellent dental provider. He is always on time, explains all procedures he is doing throughly, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. A great practice all around. Theyre all great.

Dr. Sharrock is very personable and is prompt. I have been a patient of his for 10 years. I have always been called back within 5 minutes of my scheduled appointment time.
