Ive gone here since I was a kid. Dr. Fernandez and the team here are a fantastic family. Theyve gotten me in for an emergency appointment before that same day. They send text messages and email reminders about your appointments. The facility is brand new. And best of all it works with my insurance :)

I am someone with very bad anxiety with doctors offices however as soon I spoke with the front desk the tone of voice relaxed me the office was beautiful and welcoming. Getting serviced by the treatment coordinator, Jessica, she was so friendly and helped me feel very relaxed being so informative. May, was the first one to walk me to the back and she was very bubbly and understanding which really put me at ease. Dr. Fernandez was very nice and straightforward describing everything he was doing and showed me everything he looked at and saw. This overall was the best experience I have ever had and certainly will continue to go back.

I have been going to Michael Fernandez dentistry for 11 years now and I will not even try out another dentist. Their office has all the best technology and it is beautiful. More than that the staff is always so friendly and do a great job to always make you comfortable. I previously had to cancel my regular cleaning, i called in to find out when they had an opening, and was able to get an appointment in 2 days. The appointment was right on schedule, Very friendly hygienist and thorough. Dr Fernandez performed the final inspection and talked to me about my general dental health. We discussed a possible bridge. He was very honest and offered a few options including ranking by cost, although each person is different because of insurance. The bridge to fill in both side of the mouth missing teeth, he said was the most expensive, had the most metal, and he has had several patients after getting it decided to now wear it. Great place, Great people.

The staff is amazingly friendly and always welcoming and accommodating. It is a true joy to visit their office which is well run, efficient and immaculately clean. From my first consultation to the plan for my dental surgery I have been treated with extraordinary care and every step of my surgery was explained to me in detail. I am not a very good patient when it comes to working on my teeth. I broke one of my front teeth and in the same day they were able to see me. They explained all my options. Everyone was great and made me feel comfortable. Great team!

I was having an issue with a tooth. I called them in the morning. They got me in that day at noon. When I got there they took me in the back. The Doc came right over to check me out. After they took some x rays and the Doc looked closer, he explained everything in detail as whats going on. I needed to see a specialist in Endodontics for a root canal! They set me up an appointment asap, the next day! The Endodontics they sent me to was also GREAT! I am doing much better and no PAIN! I will have to go back to Dr Fernandez to get the temporary filling removed and a permanent one in a week or so. The staff was wonderful as always! I am so lucky to have this Dentist Office as my Dentist Office! Been going to them for years and would recommend them to anyone.

Ive been to this establishment a few times & have been pleased with the service as well as the professionalism. However, during my visit on 2/8/2021 I was not pleased with the bed-side manners at all. When I entered the exam room with my 6 yr old son, I instructed him to have a seat. He proceeded to sit in one chair; however, the assistant told him that the chair was for the dentist. Next, he proceeded to another chair. Assistant then told him that the chair was specifically for her. She then pointed to an area in the exam room & told him that he could stand there. Appalled, I asked her for a chair so that he could sit, which she granted. Ive never felt so humiliated & disrespected. I had to explain to my son afterwards that he did not do anything wrong. This behavior was totally unacceptable.

They are able to for me in for a quick visit at the last minute. Very accommodating, very professional, and great customer service!

Very nice people and non-judgmental. Did an excellent job fixing a broken crown (that another dentist did a poor job installing). Dr Cox explained what he was doing every step along the way. Im a big chicken about dentists and they made sure I was as comfortable as possible.

I moved out of Virginia Beach and went looking for a dentist closer to my new home. I couldnt find anyone close to the Fernandez caliber, and I decided to do the drive and get back here for dentistry. Wonderful folks, even Jennifer! Soooo glad to be back.

My very first visit and Ruth and Dr. Cox were amazing, the receptionist was very kind as well but I cant remember her name unfortunately! The office is decorated very nicely and was quite cozy. When Ruth took me to the back, she showed me around and how they make their own crowns, etc. I explained to them how terrified I am of the dentist due to past experiences and they were completely understanding and patient! Ruth is a ball of energy and joy and made me feel very welcomed. Dr. Cox explained everything that he was doing as well as thoroughly answered all of my questions. I have never felt so comfortable in a dentists office in the past 15 years as I did today! I see myself having great continuity of care with this practice.

My family has been going to Dr. Fernandez for over 10 years and I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist in the area. Dr. Fernandez is personable and attentive, always making sure to explain or answer any questions. All the hygienists and front desk workers are friendly and eager to help. My usual hygienist is Christina and I highly recommend her though they are all fantastic. The office is always very clean and the wait time to be seen is usually 10 minutes or less of being checked in. I have nothing but good things to say and I highly recommend them.

Fernandez Family Dentistry was able to accommodate three of our children at the same time so we didnt have to come back for multiple appointments. The office staff was cheerful and friendly. We also felt safe because of the COVID precautions that were being taken.

I had a crown come off last Saturday and called the office this morning. I was immediately given an early appointment the same day with Dr. Fernandez to have the crown reinstalled. The entire staff was very professional and friendly. Dr. Fernandez perform a detailed exam, which was impressing, since no other dentist has performed this extent of exam before with me. Kelly did a awesome job at cleaning my teeth, and I have sensitive areas that cause pain. But, with Kelly I didn’t have any issues with my sensitivity. Jessica perform all my X rays. Renee checked me out and took care all my billing questions. Overall, the entire staff go the extra mile to make your visit a pleasant and professional one.

My husband, who was traumatized as a child, refused to step foot in a dentist office until I was finally able to convince him to see Dr. Fernandez, that was over 12 years ago!
