I was going to wait but honestly Im so blown away Schrumpf & Herman Family Dentistry is amazing. My kids even love it there (4 & 7). We are a military family and so grateful to have found a place we can all go.I was allowed back with my children and stayed with them the whole time. They do have a treasure box which is a big deal to my kids.My new patient exam was the most thorough I have ever had. I felt extremely comfortable and never once did I feel like the process was rushed.My cleaning which is a separate appointment was great! She took her time and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time.The office staff has been working us in on cancellations so we dont have to wait long since we have a flexible schedule and are leaving the area soon. Honestly they are all extremely nice and so helpful.

Ive had some canceled appointments and because of that I was told to find another dentist which is fine. There is a policy in place and it has to be followed but, the unprofessional manner in which I was handled is actually BENEATH the service that I have received while using this dentistry. ESTELLA the office manager doesnt deserve her position. If you cant talk to people in a professional way, then this isnt the job for you. Even if I was allowed to make another appointment, I wouldnt because of her!!!!!!

Very caring staff. Everyone is very professional and they don’t make you feel just like a patient but an actual person. They take their time to answer any questions and very understanding! I will definitely be coming back for any of my dental health moving forward!

Dr. Herman is a great dentist very sweet and patient however the office staff member ESTELA KOONTZ was very rude to me and disrespectful I advised her I need to post pone my procedure due to my mothers death she responded via email “ is this due to a death or your plastic surgery in June “ I responded I would like to speak to the doctor or someone in management she blocked my email immediately I then called and was told they don’t know when the doctor will ever call me back after that my number no longer worked when I called them I emailed from my new email advised if I don’t speak with thw doctor I will make a complaint I get a response that I will not be able to talk to the doctor bc he has nothing to do with the issue I have very unprofessional and rude! She had to have violated my right to know what surgery I was getting bc I never advised her I was getting plastics surgery or anyone in the office I was getting it in June

I encountered 5 staff members and they were all friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Schrumpf was gentle and thorough. He explained everything in layman’s terms & used examples/models to demonstrate. I was impressed and have already recommended this office/dentist to a few people.

Wonderful practice. The girls in reception are great with relaying calls back and forth as well as scheduling. They were also informative about insurance costs. Valerie was very professional and polite. She was very gentle on the mouth with cleaning and very educated and informative. Dr. Herman was also very professional. This is absolutely THE BEST dental care I’ve ever had. Dr. Schrumpf is super meticulous on cosmetic and repair dentistry and very thorough in his evaluations. He’s trustworthy and caring. He always checks and re-checks to make sure his patients understand what is happening and why, and also makes sure we are not in pain during a procedure. I love how the whole staff is very calm and caring.

I DREAD going to the dentist but everyone in this practice makes it a breeze. The waits are short, the care is the best around, and they take the time to explain everything in detail.

So far I have had two appointments at this place and each visit has been extremely pleasant. The staff is friendly and personable and Dr. Herman is always at his best to make sure his patients are comfortable and educated in what is happening.I especially like that he uses a gel to help numb the outside of the gums before applying any anesthetic and overall he is someone I hold great confidence in when it comes to taking care of my teeth. This was my first time there & I was amazed at the service & treatment I got, just at my first visit, which was a consult. They did X-rays & took pictures of my teeth (WOW!). The lady that did this was very friendly as well. The second visit involved cleaning & an oral procedure & again, they were wonderful. The lady at the front desk (Sorry, forgot name) is super friendly & inviting. A smile at the front desk makes a huge difference! Val did my cleaning & she gave me more info & tips than I’ve gotten at any dentist. Very thorough cleaning! Both visits I saw Dr. Herman & he was wonderful. He explained everything about the overall health of my teeth & preventative recommendations. Everyone there was very relaxed, I never felt rushed, as if I was just another patient in the chair. Most places, you only see the Dr/Dentist for 2 mins & then the staff take care of the rest, cause the dr is rushing on to the next patient. Also, the background music is relaxing & a plus! Being in the medical/health field, I love seeing Customer Service & a well-run office at its best. Great job the Dentists & their staff!

I was VERY scared of the dentist due to the the shot and the pain. After getting a filling from them, I did not feel any pain whatsoever. I was waiting for the shot in tears then 10 minutes later, he said hes done... 0% pain whatsoever.. did not know how he did it, but all i know is im going to him for all my dental needs.. im now fear free, and will be going here for ALL dental needs.. If you are afraid of the dentist like me.. this is the place to be!! :)

Dr. Schrumph designed and developed dental implants for me. He was recommended by my periodontal surgeon who is one of the best in the state of Virginia. I truly believe Dr. Schrumph can be rated to have similar expertise, talent and professionalism. He is nothing short of brilliant in his field of dentistry. He is also very kind and personable making the experience almost enjoyable...I do not believe any dental work can honestly be called enjoyable without some sort of caveat 😀. I have since had a hygienic treatment and that was very easy, highly professional, and extremely well performed by an excellent hygienist. Her talent and personality made the experience almost pleasant...same caveat. I am 71 years old and have seen numerous dentists over my lifespan. If you are seeking high quality family dentistry, it is doubtful you can do better than Schrumph and Herman. I very highly recommend their practice.
