I love this office. The staff is amazing and I am happy to see either dentist as they are both very professional and care about the patient. They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and happy with your result. They never make you feel rushed. Sam, the hygienist is amazing. They are respectful of their patients time and the office is spotless

We are on vacation from out of state and our daughter chipped her two front teeth. Hoek was able to see her right away and they were absolutely wonderful to work with. Our hygienist Stacy was professional and comforting and everyone we encountered was a pleasure to work with. Thank you for saving our vacation! I would recommend them highly!

I recently broke a tooth and needed to be seen. As a new patient I was not optimistic but they fit me in quickly. After assessing the tooth and explaining what needed to be done we made a follow up appointment for the next week. The staff was great in working my dual insurances and letting me know what my share would be. The follow up appointment went well , very professional and pain free ( Im a dental phobe) Im looking forward to better dental health in the future with them.

It’s the first time in my life I enjoy being at the dentist.I just moved to the US and Hoek Esthetic Family Dentistry was the first one I visited. In my mind going to the dentist translated into excruciating pain, especially when you have to deal with a molar’s filling.Not just the staff was friendly, super caring, super organized and overall super professional, but there was no pain whatsoever. During that one hour of my time there I felt so good that I almost fell asleep. I absolutely hate going to the Dentist and honestly have not seen a Dentist since 1999. I felt like since it had been so long I needed to see one so I chose Hoek Esthetic Dentistry and Im so glad I did. From the moment I walked in I was greeted and made to feel welcome which helped to ease my anxiety. Everything was explained in its entirety and the staff was so helpful and empathetic. The only dentist my family will ever see.Absolutely wonderful!!! My 6 year old has molars that came in with cavities, and needed filings. They were/are beyond patient and gentle with her. She had tearful defiant moments and instead of getting upset with her they stopped everything they were doing to talk to her and make sure she feels comfortable and safe. My name is Jonathan Clark and I was in the Navy for 6 years, during that time I had quite a bit of dental work that has turned out to be pretty horrific. Since all of the dental complications due to the Navy dentists I have developed dental anxiety and PTSD. I was very hesitant to go to a new dentist. Wow. Im blown away, really. Best first impression ever! And during a pandemic!Ive been going to the same dental office for about 10 years now and really liked them but it took 6-8 months to get an appointment rescheduled and, when you schedule 6 months out anyway, stuff comes up. I cant go 10-12 months with no cleaning, I have a lot of tartar build up. So sadly, I needed to find a place that could accommodate schedule changes, I travel a lot.So, during COVID, I began communicating with Hoek Family Dentistry and spoke to a nice lady up front named Jackie who quickly called me back after my email request, gathered my info, and sent me the new patient paperwork to fill out and send back so they could request my records and have everything ready for me when they reopened to patients.I arrived today and everything was filed and taken care of for me. Their office is in Red Mill Commons Shopping Center by the Wendys, Cold Stone and Starbucks. Its pristine and clean with all new fancy equipment and comfy chairs and a nice waiting room. Theyre observing all COVID-19 recommended health precautions and took my temp, had me answer the questionnaire, and everyone was masked.My hygienist, Stacey called me back within 5 minutes of my scheduled appointment time and, since it was our first meeting, sat down face to face with me so I could talk to her about any issues, concerns, questions and my preferences. She took X-rays with this new handheld instant X-Ray machine where they stay in the room with you and then we got down to business. I have some bone loss and a receding lower gum line I was worried about so she really looked at it and decided to numb me to do the cleaning she needed to do. Im glad, I think Id have cried.Our appointment took two solid hours but I dont think my teeth have ever been this clean. I have gotten no less than 5 compliments on them today since my cleaning about how white and beautiful they look! Stacey also stopped to show me with a mirror what she was doing and educated me on the X-rays she took and reviewed my teeth with me. It was fabulous. I have never, ever, had anyone take that amount of time with me.At the end, my dental exam was done by Dr. Kristen Maddux who was equally as friendly and welcoming. She was kind to Stacey and listened to all her findings with respect, agreed with her on them, and then they asked me to come back in 3-weeks for a no-cost shorter visit to check and see if my lower gums look better due to the cleaning and/or if Ill need a referral.As if all that wasnt enough, Stacey called me a few hours later just to make sure I was OK and wasnt having any issues because she really did some work on me! Wow. A++++I was nervous about going to another office after so long and loving the place I was at, but I neednt have worried. If Id have known what was waiting for me here, Id have come long ago.

When it came time to get a filling, Dr. Hoek did an amazing job with my fear of needles. She was calm and relaxed and got me through the procedure in one piece. I really appreciate her and all the advice she has to offer about how to keep my teeth healthy. I would recommend her to anyone on the search for a new dentist.

I have bad anxiety about going to the dentist, but they really do everything they can to make you comfortable. Every employee there is so warm and welcoming. You can really tell that everyone loves what they do and love working for Dr. Hoek.

By far the best dentist Ive been to! Dr. Hoek is very knowledgeable and explains the process for every procedure. My husband I are working parents with 3 kids. It can be very difficult for me to take time off of work to attend appointments, however, Dr. Hoeks office has scheduled all 4 of us back to back to make it more convenient for me. Highly recommend Hoek Esthetic Family Dentistry!

Monday was our 2nd time for the kids and I going to Hoek Esthetic Family Dentistry and I must say Dr. Hoek is by far the best Dentist out there. My kids dread going to the dentist because of their last dentist they had. So when I heard there was a new place opening up by our new home I figured I would give it a try. My kids loved her. My son who is 13 hates needles and his first time there ended up having to get a cavity filled. He didnt even know she was going to shoot him up. She had him close his eyes and told him she had to squirt some liquid onto his gum after she had numbed the gum with gel before hand. So he did and she injected him six or seven times. He never knew till later that night when I told him. His response was man shes good mom I never felt the needle. Now they enjoy going to the dentist and cant wait for their next visit. 5 thumbs up for Dr. Hoek she is great!!

I have been to many dentists because I have always felt very nervous about this process like many others. I did NOT have this feeling at all with Meredith, she truly has a great chair side manner & makes you feel relaxed. I love going now and I never thought I would say that. Meredith does such a great job on cleanings that I dont even want to drink red wine :) I also like that her staff is very friendly & professional. They call you to remind you of appointments & I need that. LOVE Hoek Family Dentistry

I absolutely love Dr. Hoek and the entire staff at Hoek Esthetic Dentistry. They really care about you as an individual AND they are exceptionally good in their profession. I had to have a filling replaced today and was in and out in 45 minutes with ZERO pain. I highly recommend this practice.

I have been seeing Dr. Hoek since last year and I will definitely recommend her to everybody I know including my own family. She does a great service. I enjoy seeing her every 6 months. Her office is very clean and her staff including Dr. Hoek is outstanding and they all do a wonderful job.

After 20+ years with the same dentist, I made the tough decision to try someone different. And Dr. Meredith is different! Shes friendly, knowledgeable, has the latest equipment and for the first time in history, I feel that I have a dentist who actually is sincere and cares. Plus, her practice gives back to the community, and that is a huge PLUS! I recommend her!

The staff is so nice!

Dr. Hoek is amazing! My fiance had a filling from a previous dentist fall out suddenly. He was in pain and needed an emergency appointment. She was able to get him in a half hour after his phone call to her office. He was so impressed with speed and quality of the procedure that he is now switching to her practice for future dental needs. Her prices are also extremely competitive when comparing other VA Beach practices.

I have been terrified of dentists in the past, but Dr. Meredith is so friendly, I didnt even feel like I was at a dentist office. The staff was wonderful and the atmosphere was so warm, I definitely plan to come back again! Highly recommended!!
