I absolutely love Kempsville Dental! Every staff member that I have come in contact with has been very friendly and super helpful! All of my visits have been PAINLESS so much so that I fell asleep getting my fillings. Both dentist are awesome and I would recommend them to any and everyone! So glad that I found them.

I am one of those people that freaks out about the dentist. I have had experiences at other offices where I feel like they were shaming me because my mouth isnt perfect. I went to kempsville dental because I cracked a tooth. Had a full blown panic attack in the chair. Not once was I shamed. They were patient with me and very pleasant with me. I would highly recommend this office if you have a fear of dentists. They are very friendly and supportive.

Ive been going to Kempsville Dental for a couple years now and they are the only dental practice I will go to. I used to see Dr. Finnerty but he retired and now I see Dr. Singh and Im just as happy with him as I was with Dr. Finnerty. Everyone at the practice is super nice and helpful and Trish at the front office is an extremely special person. Shes one of the biggest reasons I keep going back. Ive gotten fillings, root canals, cleanings, and crowns here and Ive not only never been in pain, Ive also been really happy with the results. I highly recommend them for any kind of dental work.

To start… I hate dentists. The reason I had to go was because my hatred of dentists led to a dental emergency (who’da thunk?). I don’t regret going and have since been there 4 times as of writing this review. The staff are kind and professional, Dr Singh is quick and personable and for the first time I don’t mind making another appointment. I even have my family enrolled. Give them a call- it’s worth it.

I was a little apprehensive about getting my first crown ever. Dr. Singh and his crew were pros every step of the way - - the procedure was painless and the final product snapped into place without need for any adjustment. Excellent experience, friendly crew. Will be happy to refer others.

This morning Dr Singh removed one of my teeth and mid afternoon he personally called me to query about how I was doing. I am 83 years old and this is the first time this has ever happened to me. In Navy parlance BZ (well done) and most appreciated.

It’s simple. Took my almost 80 year old dependent there for a cleaning. She has no cavities. Has never had a filling in any tooth her entire life. She recently had surgery from breaking her jaw bone due to a fall. We came in for a basic cleaning because she could not brush her teeth properly while recovering from the jaw bone surgery. Tonya insisted on a deep cleaning. And then she moved from a deep cleaning to an embridement. She was focused on getting everything done in one appointment so that insurance would cover it. Tonya did not stop for 1 second to grasp that she was dealing with someone who had recently had a really bad fall, had shattered bones that had healed but psychologically could still only handle a basic dental cleaning. All Tonya cared about was the money and how insurance was going to pay. An extremely uncomfortable experience for my dependent.The day ended with the strangest phone call from Tonya who after agreeing to proceed with a basic cleaning, called to cancel our appointment unless my 80 year old dependent agreed to undergo Tonya’s embridement procedure. Thankfully we found other hygienists in the area who are not bent on calculating $$$ from insurance companies. Even as a cancer patient my doctors would not insist on performing procedures I did not feel comfortable with. Shame on Tonya and shame on this facility for such poor treatment of a senior citizen.

A friend of mine recommended this Dentistry because he has gone to them for years and I do not have Dental Insurance. This practice was ideal because they offer a discounted option for those without insurance. This was my very first visit. Very conveniently located. Staff is super welcoming and friendly. Feels very homey and like you are a part of the family when you are there. Everyone is very easy to talk with and any questions I had were answered. Definitely recommend Kempsville Dental to anyone needing a dentist or in search of a new location.

My whole family loves going here. My children were referred here when they outgrew their pediatric dentist and I wish we had gotten to them sooner. My kids love Dr. Finnerty and the hygienists better than the pediatric dentist. Trish at the front desk is always a pleasure to deal with, in person or over the phone.

I had a problem with my tooth on New Year’s Day, I tried to call the emergency number on line but Dr. Singh( not sure on the spelling of his name) is the only one who called me back and check on me. He showed up to his clinic on Holiday but I did not make it there because I didn’t expect him to show up. I went to see him after holiday. He is an excellent dentist.Thank you,Julieta

Id give a 1 star rating, but they did see me last minute so I give them kudos for the fact they MAY see you for emergency reasons...and to elaborate further on that, I came in exactly for an emergency and he tried his hardest to send me elsewhere.Their website is misleading on several things , especially the first time patient discount.There are much more affordable Dentists in the area who will take their time instead of having an attitude while taking care of a sensitive operation.And lastly, you will also find a Dentist out here with a much more sound state of mind out here as well too. He prescribed to me 500 mg ibuprofen for a major surgery...are you kidding me? Walmart has higher dosages over the counter.I was rather disappointed as to how cheap he is as a person and how expensive his prices were.... not coming here again.

The family and I have been going to Dr. Finnerty’s since the 90’s and they have always treated us with kindness and they have always made us feel very comfortable during our visits, especially the children when they were little. I would not go anywhere else. He and his staff are great and I highly recommend for anyone looking for a dentist in the area to go there.

The service provided is as usual exemplary to where every small need is attended to such as a pillow to provide support behind my neck and a blanket to keep me warm. They not only are doing an amazing job restoring my dental health, they have restored my faith in dental practitioners. Dr. Finnerty is truly concerned about your well being and not chasing the almighty dollar. His confidence and approach shows his mastery and extensive experience. They also do all the complex work here and have state of the art scanning and laser equipment. They are thoughtful, conservative, professional and kind people. I am forever thankful I found them.
