Brant Carroll is my long-time eye doc; I have had severe myopia since childhood, which puts me at risk for retinal tears. More recently he did the cataract surgery on eye number one (number two in a few days). Throughout my time as his patient he has been outstanding; he is conservative about cutting on eyes, really gets the concerns of people with eyes that are as crazy as mine, and has been cautious and thoughtful about how to insure the health of my eyes. I cannot recommend him highly enough. His staff are well-trained and, like him, engaging and helpful. If youre someone living with severe myopia start in with him when youre as young as possible because this man knows our eyes.

Had another appointment today with Dr. Carrolland his team members. When I was leaving, as Ifeel, always, I am so appreciative of these people!I appreciate Dr. Carrolls mastery of the eye, his clear and kind communication of his knowledge, and, always, his treatment of people as persons, not just as only eye conditions.Dr. Carrolls assistant prepped me and administered some eye tests with kindnessand gentle instruction and patience. The ladies at the front desk, dealing with paperwork preceding and post-appointmentmake each patient feel welcome, also.I am so grateful!

Initially my experience wasn’t the greatest when I asked the woman at the front desk about getting a piece of metal in my eye removed and she replied with “I’m not on the clock”. I then patiently waited for for the woman that was on the clock to help me with my issue. Once my issue began to be addressed her and another woman asked if I had an appointment because they weren’t accepting walk-ins at that time. I just wanted the metal removed from my eye. They finally began to “try to fit me in” . I finally did get in and get the inclusion removed. the doctor himself was very professional and friendly. Although with the procedure that was practiced I feel that I should have been provided with more than just an antibiotic eye drop to ease the pain after drilling into my eye. I would not recommend this place for more than bare minimum optical care or customer service.

Was fortunate to have cataract surgery at NW EYE ASSOCIATES in their Ballard Clinic. Dr Brant Carroll did the procedures on my two eyes two weeks apart. Simply an incredible team of medical professionals. The bottom line.... my eyesight went from BAD TO PERFECT. Zero discomfort. They carefully explain each step of the procedure. This cataract surgery by Dr Carroll and his team have dramatically changed my life for the better. THANKS.

Ive gone twice to Dr. Lam in the past and was very please and impressed with her professionalism and and clear aptitude, and patience in explanation and examination. My last exam nearly two years ago, she was incredibly rushed, fastest exam Ive ever had, seemed disinterested in spending any time answering my questions (my eyesight has grossly diminished in that past few years) and I ended up walking out with a TOTAL INCORRECT prescription. I cannot wear these glasses. I was thinking of returning, but decided to that was the last straw.

I am very pleased with my experience with Dr. Habibi. She is very attentive and friendly. My interaction wasnt rushed. I got some practical recommendation for the strained eyes. The wait on Saturday was very short. The building could benefit from better signage. You have to go into one of the entrances and only when you are inside you know that the office is on the 3d floor.

Beware: Your time is not important to this practice. My husband and I made consecutive check-up appointments with Dr. Zollman – very routine. Before the exam date, my husband received a call confirming his own appointment and insurance and I received my own. When we arrived for our (recently confirmed) appointments, we were told that his appointment didnt exist (though already confirmed) and that another person was booked into his time slot with Dr. Zollman. They were “sorry” and offered to “squeeze him in” if Dr. Zollman was willing, though that would mean a considerable wait beyond the original appointment. My husband was treated as though he was asking for a last-minute appointment off the street, not as though reception had bumped him to accommodate another patient (discovered to be a late-middle aged woman in apparent good health, who should be ashamed of her own entitlement in asking for another patient to be bumped). Seething, I checked into my appointment and waited... and waited... and waited. After 30 minutes of not being called for my own appointment, we told reception that wed had enough and left.

Ive had about 6 visits since November due to a cornea abrasion thats not healing properly. Every single time, Ive had to wait AT LEAST 45 minutes after the scheduled appointment time and often longer to be called back, even for a 7:40am appointment! As a single working mom having to arrange childcare for these appointments it is really frustrating!Last week I drove into the parking lot to find there were no more dedicated EANW spots and the other marked spots said I could be towed. So I had to drive around a bit to find a spot. Then I went upstairs and stood in their check-in line for another 6-7 minutes. By the time they actually checked me into their computer it was 11 minutes past what I thought the appointment time was. I had the appointment at 8:30 but apparently they had it at 8:20 and the receptionist said since I was 21 minutes late Id have to reschedule. YOUVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. You know how many hours Ive spent waiting for them after showing up on time or early? And its not like they are EVER running on time anyway, not to mention how if they had have had adequate parking spaces or adequate check-in staff it wouldnt have been an issue at all. They took no ownership for the situation... it was all my fault. Ive been irritated at every appointment with the long waits but this tips it.My experience with the actual doctors has been pretty good... just some poor communication regarding prescriptions and taking 2 weeks to return an email after telling me I could email with questions. My main dissatisfaction is with the clinic. I would love to go elsewhere but it seems EANW has the only cornea specialist in the area. (If there is another one, please someone let me know!).

They have a variety of current Issue magazines to briefly read in the waiting and exam rooms: Seattle Mag, Metropolitan, Seattle Business, New Yorker, and some fashion magazines whose names escape me. I was very pleased with the care I received from Dr. Carroll. I dont remember waiting very long. Plenty of free parking in the basement.

I got a decent referral for this place but the whole experience was horrible. Long wait time. They seemed only interested in making money off of me, even saying that my contacts AND glasses were covered by insurance and it wasnt. In fact the contact fitting wasnt even covered since I got glasses. My insurance only covered the eye glasses and the exam and fitting for that. It was either or. I had specifically asked them since I had never gotten both and wasnt even really interested in the contacts. When I called to complain and to see if we could work something out for the bill, they were like, sorry, you have to pay us for the stuff not covered. It was A LOT! I have never had such bad experience of pushiness and felt taken advantage of before. Dont go there please.

Called and asked for Lasic consult - appointment was 2 months out but when I got there, they had scheduled me for a contact consult with Dr that doesnt do Lasic - that appointment would take another month. The front desk staff acted like this was our oversight, but we had been clear and specific on the phone. My previous experience here wasnt better. - Dr Lam rushes through and seemed annoyed by questions. They will continue to be busy since there is a shortage, but I wont be back because I take my healthcare seriously and believe that a more professional and compassionate environment will produce better results.

Five stars for Dr. Habibi but we will not be back. I presented my VISION insurance and the front desk staff insisted on getting my medical insurance info... which I did not provide. I was told it was necessary in case there is a medical diagnosis. Both my daughter and myself had an exam with Dr. Habibi and she is great. (and I chose a female Dr. as a role model for my daughter after several years of seeing a male Dr.) After the exam I received calls from the billing staff again asking for my medical insurance info. It took a lengthy conversation with the office manager for them to stop trying to bill my medical insurance when my vision insurance, that they accept as a provider, covered the exams. My conclusion is that 1. they can get more from medical insurance for the same exam and 2. no one in this office realizes that what they bill through medical insurance may very well be paid entirely by the patient because of such high deductibles on health insurance plans.... which I was definitely not willing to absorb when I have VISION insurance... and you are a provider for that plan.

Ive had nothing but good service here. Ive been seeing Dr. Carroll for several years and in my experience hes an excellent physician-in fact, hes the only person with whom Id trust my eyesight. Ive had to wait for my appointment a bit, but things come up in a doctors office that must be dealt with immediately, such as a detached retina-an unfortunate situation that needs immediate attention. It happened to me one day; the office worked me in whereupon Dr. Carroll reattached it on the spot with his laser. So Im sure someone had to wait because of my emergency.

Tl;dr: Dr and tech were good, eye exam seemed thorough, hidden cost of $25 to obtain pupil distance which is used to buy glasses online. For those of us with weak prescriptions especially, pd is possible to work out on your own. Google for instructions, such as bit.ly/1eQM7iIHaving changed coasts this was my first eye exam at Eye Associates NW using my VSP insurance, for which I was charged $10 up front - no complaints there.I have a weak prescription with no complicating conditions so my eye exam was a simple affair. The tech was friendly and thorough. and Dr Lam was charming and seemed competent, and I am happy with my experience on that front. However, after asking both the tech and the Dr about obtaining my pupillary distance I was told that I needed to follow up with the optometrist. When I checked in with her I was informed that under a new policy I would be charged $25 for the service. I have never been charged previously and honestly, if I had known that asking for something so simple would incur a hidden cost I would have called around and found another practice entirely. I was also unimpressed by the optometrists attitude, though I realise that theyre just trying to squeeze a little profit out of their struggling business model.Just fyi, I called my East Coast Drs office to get my pd pulled from my notes. My doctor confirmed that pd is easy to figure out yourself and that precision is less crucial for weaker prescriptions. If youre not comfortable doing that but would still like to order glasses online Id suggest calling around to other offices and ensuring that a pupil distance measurement will be included as part of your eye exam.

I am severely disappointed with this physician. The physician screened my eyes and told me it was no big deal. He then proceeded to code my visit with the highest severity. Which would be on par with a diagnosis of macular degeneration. It also was upwards of $300! Not worth a routine check up and him shooing me out the door.
