The doctors were great and even did a few extra things for me at no cost.Every one else on staff was pushy and impatient. I guess I took too long to read the forms at the beginning, because the person who came to take me back rushed me through the last page on contacts and made me check a yes box for something I didnt know would cost me $170 (it was a contact fitting, which I didnt need and wouldnt have gotten if I had been given 5 more minutes to read it myself) she was also abrupt about everything and again pushed me into having an image taken of my eye instead of dilating my pupils (again, costs more to have an image taken).After seeing the doctor, I went to look at frames and got more annoying pushy and rude behavior from the staff. I went in for a no-cost-to-me eye appointment and left paying about $200.Not worth it and will be finding someplace else to go.

Phenomenal doctor’s office—wish Incould come to them for medical needs beyond vision! Dr. Yu was caring, patient, and methodical. She explained everything at a pace to ensure I understand. She was not in a hurry to prescribe me eyewear and gave me her best recommendations, financially and medically.The state-of-the-art machines and the explanations of what they checked helped me feel in good hands. Even without vision insurance, the price was decent. Would recommend 5/5—already have family members wanting to visit for an examination after I told them about the visit! The reception staff and gentleman doing the preliminary tests were quite helpful and professional as well.

Ive gone here for many years now, and am always very pleased with the interactions. Dr Riley Nakatsu is knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, engaging. Staff is always pleasant and the office is smoothly run. I couldnt be happier, and wouldnt even consider going anywhere else for my eye exams.Very minor negative (which is now moot): I did have a too sales-y experience with the eyeglasses area a few years back when getting my prescription filled there, and since then I have taken to getting my prescription filled elsewhere.

I have been a customer of BVS for many years now. They are a member of the GSBA, and have been excellent to me through the years with all of my vision needs. They have excelled during the pandemic and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for top quality vision care. My eyesight is super important to me and I have many needs. I need to be able to see when cutting hair in the salon, removing fine hairs from my clients faces when unwanted, as well as when working on my business in my home office. I also need to be able to see clearly when walking into and out of the sunlight. Here in Seattle that can be tricky, as the landscape and weather are constantly changing. Having transition lenses has helped me to not sprain my ankle anymore, which if I do again, would put me out of work/off of my feet for an entire week! My eyes are also older and I am in progressive lenses. I have had no issues with my lenses and if I do, they will find a better solution for me.

I had a great experience at Broadway Vision Spirce yesterday. The staff were competent and thoughtful snd even helped me order my Uber drive home. Dr. Matsunami was the best. He patiently worked with me to get the best prescription for my eyes and I ended up with contact lenses as well as a prescription for glasses. My optometrist no longer stocked the brand of frames that I have really come to love (ProDesign Denmark) and after a quick search for places that do sell them, Broadway Vision was just around the corner from me. I was a little annoyed that I had to schedule a frame trial session two weeks out (because of Covid), but after the amazing service I understand why theyre so popular and am totally glad that I waited to get in because it was incredible! For me, the hardest part about picking out frames is making sure that they really do fit my face, that the color maybe isnt a little bit too light or too dark, that I didnt pick a size too small, etc etc. Samantha was absolutely amazing advising me, educating me, and helping me get just the right frame. While she was more than happy to leave me to my own devices if I wanted, she offered assistance and it really made the experience not just pleasant but enjoyable, efficient, and I cannot wait until my new classes come in. Trust me, its worth the wait if you need to get a new pair of frames that will make you look amazing.

I’ve been a BVS patient for the last 5 years. Each time I’m ready for a visit, I have a customer centric experience at each touch point. Dr Matsunami is professional and courteous. This is a rating of the optical dept not the optometrists. If I could give zero stars I would. Poor customer service, rude when trying to set up an appt BUT very happy to take my credit card immediately for replacement lenses on Feb 1st. Today, April 5th--ie over 2 months later--they are still not returning my calls or emails asking for an appt to get the lenses installed in my frames. Have sent messages with urgent and no response. No one ever answers the phone--including for the optometrists--but they were sure quick to charge my card. This is a business that is using COVID as an excuse for shoddy customer service. Dont go there!

Shout out for a great office! Great COVID 19 protocols, with spacing & cleanliness. Friendly, professional staff. Lots of high tech machines - I had the option to get the standard dilated eye exam (yuk) or an exam with the Opti Map machine for a small fee, that does not require dilation (yay)! It was so worth it! My eye exam was thorough and painless. Dr. Yu is great to work with!

Appointment with Dr. Ravura was great, and he didnt push for unnecessary things.

My first visit: Dr. Ravuri and the staff at Broadway Vision Source are very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and timely to respond with any questions or scheduling changes. They also helped me navigate the abstruse web of convoluted insurance coverage I have to work through. Dr. Ravuri is, literally, a super eye doctor.

I had a positive experience at BVS when completing a vision exam. I do wish they’d reminded me prior to my visit that my eyes would be dilated so I could plan ahead and bring sunglasses.

I love this place! Dr Ravuri is great! The gentleman that helped me pick my glasses gave me one of the best customer service experiences Ive ever had. He helped me pick out a really cute pair of glasses, was very patient as I tried on lots of frames, and gave me super helpful advice with regards to my vision plan!

I came in to repair glasses that I had gotten elsewhere- one of the temples had broken off. After dropping them off, they were able to repair my glasses the same day with new temples. It was very convenient!

1. Terrible customer service - Employees are highly disinterested and could stand to be more polite to customers.2. Poor communication - Could have made COVID-19-related restrictions much clearer. Especially the fact that an appointment is required nowadays to just view/select/order frames.

I hadnt updated my glasses in over 15 years. My visit was all good. Examination was thorough and professional. Assistant understood my needs and was very helpful with the process to order and fit my glasses. He even repaired my old glasses. Scheduling, phone and appointment services was quick, easy and friendly. I was ignorant with my Benefits coverage for this visit. Expense was far less than my last gasses were. I live over 2 hours distance from BVS. Worth the drive. Thank You.

I always have an amazing experience at Broadway Vision. They are always helpful and go above and above to help me. Highly recommend using them.

John helped me to pick out the perfect glasses for my first bifocals. He advised me on the best frames to have the thinnest lenses. He educated me on what frames look best for my facial shape and where the glasses should center on my pupils. They create their lenses on-site and my glasses were ready within days. I love my glasses and the service was phenomenal. They made things more of an experience like working with a friend- not just another customer.

I have been going to Broadway Vision Source for several years and have always had excellent care. Dr. Matsunami is extremely thorough, has the latest technology and provides very helpful answers to any questions. If my eyes havent changed very much he is quick to say that its not necessary to buy new glasses. John Guild has always been extremely helpful in finding the right glasses and lenses for me when I needed them and making sure that Im thoroughly satisfied with them.

Ive been a patient at Broadway Vision Source since 1998 or 99. Dr. Nakatsu is one of my very favorite medical professionals and both opticians named John are fantastic at what they do. I wouldnt dream of going anywhere else for my vision care.

Just had my eyes checked here, and I highly recommend this place. I saw Dr. LeClaire, and she was so informative and friendly. I trusted her right away. Then John helped me try on frames, and he was so pleasant and seemed to know what would and wouldnt work. He encouraged me to go with something fun and with a little flare. Ive been coming here for years. Dr. Nakatsu is personable, thorough and overall fantastic. The front desk staff has generally been quick to respond and assist with any insurance questions. I just recently first used their glasses service and Ken was super helpful, explained everything and got me everything I needed.

These folks are great. They are efficient, effective, pleasant to work with, accommodating... When an error was made in preparation of new lenses after I had cataract surgery (likely was my fault for not confirming the plan), they took the glasses back and straightened out the prescription for no charge. Couldnt ask for more.

This was my first visit to the eye doctor in 3 years. As a new patient I was told to arrive 15 minutes early. I was the first apt and the office was not open until the time of, so I was stuck waiting outside.I was offered quality service and felt like I had an sufficient exam and client experience. Would return again.

Quality of service has declined from 5 star to Zero. Last few visits (February/March 2019 and August 2019) unsatisfactory.Lenses last received appear to be incorrect prescription. Hoping to correct this. After this review initially posted, I was contacted by the owner (Dr. Matsunami) who suggested a path to resolution. No luck rescheduling a recheck with the Dr. I previously (2015-2017) had good experiences with. Situation is still unsatisfactory.

From the first call that I made on April 24th, 2019, I had the best receptionist who took the time to listen and explain things very well. On the actual day of the appointment, 1st of May, 2019, I was attended very respectfully as I got in, all the people in the room below, raising hands to say hi as i turned to them. The lady who did the preps for the doctor was very patient, cheerful and willing to explain all the procedures that she did, and even repeated to me when I did not understand something. Finally I was attended by Dr Ravuri who was very knowledgeable with everything he was doing. I would recommend Broadway Vision Source to anyone in need. The prices are also very reasonable.

I have to say i always have great experience in this office the girls are so helpful. The doctors are amazing and the service is incredible. Comparing to any other doctors office this one stands out to be one of the best! Definitely recommend it for anybody!

Excellent customer service is extremely difficult to find these days. When I walked in for my appointment on a Thursday morning I was greeted by Anna with a smile. They had a couple minor computer problems, but Anna and John W. were very apologetic. I appreciated the fact that they laughed it off, and didnt let it ruin their morning. In addition, their friendliness and smiles helped relieve my stress level from the morning traffic (I commute from Redmond). Warren is amazing, and has awesome customer service skills! He definitely knows his stuff. I went in on a Saturday to pickup my glasses and was a little nervous because I had my 3 year old with me, but John G. was super kind and even acknowledged my 3 year old. Anyone who acknowledges my children, and provides awesome customer service deserves to be recognized. Thank you John G. You made my visit a success, and less stressful. :)

Warren is awesome. If you have a hard to fit problem he will tweak and work magic on your frames until they feel like they are a part of you. He does take longer but that is what makes him good, that and he is friendly.Other than Warren who was not the optician helping me but was the only one that would take the time to make my glasses fit correctly. The experience as a whole was horrible and took over 2 months and many attempts to get my lenses made correctly and in the end I didnt get the lens that they had made once. I dont know if it was the lab they use or the person writing the directions to the lab but glasses should NEVER takes months to get made. In addition to it taking way to long the lab (allegedly) threw away the lenses rather than making a pattern like they were supposed to do after I had accepted and had been wearing the glasses for a month. If you can make one pair how difficult can it be to make another lens just like it. It was the worst buying experience I have ever had and will never go back.

I needed advice picking out frames. All three guys had great feedback to prevent me from looking weird. They picked SALT brand frames for me that I love and get complements on. For the last 6 years whenever my frames needed a tune up Warren and John were there to straighten them for free. Its an intelligent and fun place to shop for high-quality frames.

Ive been going to Broadway Vision Source for my eye care and eye wear needs since 1995-- theyve always taken good care of me and Ive never had any reason to want to go anywhere else. Dr. Nakatsu is thoughtful and professional and the optometrists, John G., Warren and John W. have often gone above and beyond what I would expect in taking care of me, making sure Ive got stylish and good looking specs, and taking care of any problems that came about because I was a little too rough on my glasses. Ive never had any reason to think about going anywhere else.

The staff and Dr. Matsumani were excellent. Quick service and incredibly friendly. Then the end of my appointment came...I was directed to meet with an optician to get my contract lens prescription and ended up sitting at one of their desks, completely ignored, for almost an hour. They were helping other customers but not once did they make eye contact or say a quick Ill be with you soon to acknowledge I was waiting.I finally walked up to the front desk to ask if I absolutely *had* to see an optician to get my prescription since Id been waiting so long. Answer was no. How frustrating.To her credit, the receptionist was very apologetic and got everything set up within 10 minutes. I just wish I hadnt wasted so much time.

I have been coming here for years for eye exams and new eyewear. Dr Nakatsu is very patient and thorough during his exams. My eyes are going through the typical middle age aging process, so the type of lenses I need, both contacts and for glasses, are changing even if my prescription hasnt changed. Every year Dr Nakatsu listens to my concerns and gives me the options to try and decide. I also see Warren, the optician, to help select frames that work for my face. Warren makes the process really fun and also very personalized. I recently got my first pair of progressive lenses and Warren have me a tutorial on how to use them for different situations. I live further from the office now but I make the trip year after year because great service is rare.

I broke my glasses the previous day, and was essentially blind until i could get new ones. John and the staff at broadway vision were not only quick to present replacement options, but were able to hack up a temporary pair for me to use until the new ones come in.No way I could see them rated anything below 5 stars.

I have been a client of Broadway vision since 1991 or 92 - back when it was actually on Broadway! Dr. Matsunami and now Dr. Le Claire have been my favorite eye care specialists - and I have been wearing corrective lenses since about 1977 so I have been to a lot of eye doctors. They are top notch in their field, explain what they are testing and why, and allow me to have input on the procedures. There was a time when I was getting an annual test that would normally involve having numbing drops put in my eyes, but I didnt tolerate that well, so the test was given to me subsequently without the drops and I never had to remind the doctor about this non-standard preference. Always pro - always happy to see me. I love this business and look forward to remaining a client for a long time to come.

Ive been coming here since the 90s, back when they were on Broadway. Dr. Matsunami and Dr. Nakatsu are both wonderful and so good at what they do. For an added bonus, Dr. Nakatsu is from the Big Island of Hawaii, so if you are kamaaina and looking for an eye doctor, you will want to become a patient.Their selection of frames keeps getting better. John G has always done right by me and i recommend him very highly. Im looking for something eyecatching but not too wild, and he always steers me in the right direction. All the staff is very nice and very considerate. I couldnt recommend them highly enough. In fact even though i moved to Southern California over a year ago, Im still coming to Boadwsy Vision Source for glasses and all my other vision-related needs.

I have a fat head so its hard to find frames that fit without pinching. This place consistently meets my needs for comfortable frames in an array of styles and materials. I also have kariteconis so its great that their Dr can also monitor my eye condition.

Being new to Seattle, an acquaintance recommended your store to me. I was most impressed with (fitter and frame stylist) Johns professionalism, his listening skills, and helping me select the appropriate frames and colors. Despite a glitch with the lens color and communication with the outside company, without any hesitation I do recommend this office, the OD who performed the eval., and John Willards excellent customer service and knowledge about frames and the process involved. In Seattle traveling from Canada, I stepped on and broke my glasses. We went out to shop and brought the glasses in hopes we might find a place to fix them. Stumbled on Broadway vision source and was helped great. They have glasses that are donated and cut my lenses down to fit a pair they had available. Frames were free and charged a very small amount for the work done on lenses. Wonderful and friendly staff!! Would be lost without this place, literally.

I was going to Virginia Mason to have my eyes checked but they were out of appointments and I needed new glasses before the end of the year. So I went to Broadway Vision Source and had the eye exam. I purchased all their extras in the exam, too. Had three pair of glasses made at Costco and none of them allowed me to see well. Went back to Vision Source and they checked glasses and then re-checked my eyes. Turns out the prescription was incorrect due to a bad piece of equipement in their office. I dont have that much free time that I can go back to have my eyes re-checked because they are too cheap or lazy to keep their equipment in repair.

My dog got a hold of my glasses and chewed up the little plastic nose pads on them. I went into BVS and they replaced the nose pads for free in about five minutes! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

I have been going to BVS for almost six years now. I keep returning because of their friendly and professional staff, their doctors who take the time to make sure everythings right, as well as the top notch quality of the labs they use to produce lenses. Its always been an excellent experience.

I recently purchased some contact lenses, exam & fitting. I was very impressed with the attention and time Dr. Kim gave through my exam. I have been wearing gas permeables for 16 years and dont like eye exams at all. If you wear gas permeables(which she explained to me) you need a custom fit(unlike soft contact lenses). This she did, she thoroughly measured and examined my eyeballs and as a result they fit and feel quite comfortable. I could tell she is passionate about her field as she took the time to answer my questions and taught me a lot about my eyes. First time ever that I feel strongly about staying with my doctor. :)

This optometrist is the best! I went to Capitol Hill Vision up on 15th before this and didnt like it overall. Moving to Broadway Vision Source has reinvigorated my enthusiasm in keeping my prescription up to date! The staff and doctor were friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. We geeked out about chromatic aberration and refractive indices. Im looking forward to coming back here every few years to keep my eyes seeing clearly. Now that the rain is gone.

This was my first visit and I was beyond satisfied. I had a bad experience a couple of years ago with another Optometrist office. The front office staff there was not welcoming and I felt very rushed through the exam with the doctor. BVS was the complete opposite. The front office staff was friendly and welcoming. My exam was great and Dr LeClaire explained everything as she went along. I dont think Ive ever had such a thorough eye exam. I would definitely recommend Dr. LeClaire and BVS to anyone!

So it was almost like a sales engine if you will.The optometrist was incredibly nice but before after the exam, I just requested my prescription and off I went to the front desk. This time I was forced to sit with an optician. He was an older man with glasses and acted like a used car salesman towards me. I said I would just like my prescription please, I get my glasses elsewhere. He said OK, I can certainly do that for you and then CONTINUED to try and sell me their product!!!! Not cool! I just asked you for my prescription, please give it to me now. I asked again and he declined and tried to guilt me for going other places. People do want to go to other places you know and do not necessarily want to buy your super expensive glasses! Next time, I will simply ask for my prescription and will refuse to see an optician! This man was incredibly rude and how dare he refuse me my prescription! You will not get anyone to buy your glasses if you continue these aggressive sales tactics! Opticians are not meant to be sales people!!!!1/2018 visitI was recommended this place by a friend. Overall, I enjoyed Dr. Heather and the Broadway Vision Source experience. However, I gave three stars because I have some issues.First, they have taken away the magazines up front so their is nothing left to view while you wait. Can you please put them back? they were enjoyable! Also, my appointment was at 11:15 and I did not see the doctor until almost NOON! That was a LONG WAIT and I have never waited that long in my life at any optometrist office that I have ever been to! I did not appreciate that at all.However, Dr. LeClaire was amazing and very through in my exam, which I appreciated. Katie and Jessica were also awesome with the check in process, etc. and Katie was helpful in getting my records for me so Dr. LeClaire can take a look at them.Also, the glasses are a little on the expensive side compared to other places. Decrease the wait times and bring back the magazines. Dr. LeClaire herself even stated she was feeling overwhelmed with too many appointments on Saturdays.Otherwise, great experience and Ill be back! :)

Very good service. There was one glitch when the voice mail message didnt get through (or I did something wrong with the phone), but otherwise I was very satisfied.

Competitive pricing, exceptional customer service, wide selection, and a staff member with an uncanny ability to pair you with the frames that compliment and suit you. Thanks Warren! Id be remiss to neglect mentioning the indelible and recently retired Sandra for years of extraordinary customer service upon walking through BVS doors year after year. You are missed. It is with extreme trepidation that I met with your departure.
