I recently purchased new glasses from my optometrist who is on the other side of the state. I needed to have them adjusted and went to LensCrafters to see if they could help. Even though I didnt purchase my glasses through them, Lydia so kindly and quickly adjusted them for me for free, making sure they were just right. Thank you, Lydia!

A really terrible LensCrafter. The Northgate Mall itself is undergoing renovation & taken over by Kraken.. so there’s nothing much to see there. I went to LensCrafter to get glasses for my daughter & myself. When entering the store.. i was going to see one of the glasses.. i was told off rudely by one of the staff. Then he asked me rudely what is it that I want … I do get it that during the pandemic he would need to limit the number of glasses that we could try— in this case 5 only— because they need to clean/disinfect it afterwards BUT he could have informed us nicely & politely. There is such thing as Good Customer Service. My daughter tried on just 1 glasses & we left. We wouldnt even consider getting gllasses from there again EVER. We went next door to Barnes & Nobles where we experienced great service.

Opticians Scott & Barry both provided great customer service. Ive had to come in for several different tries due to my doctor making several mistakes with my prescriptions (and Ive been terribly indecisive about frames). Barry in particular has been cheerful, helpful, thorough, sympathetic, and incredibly patient. Cant recommend them enough.

As hard as the store is to find, they are STILL THERE at Northgate! I lost a nose piece and was having trouble finding anywhere that would sell them cheap (Target optical didnt have what I needed), that is until I went into the LensCrafters and they told me they could replace it for free! I had no idea that sort of service existed anywhere, and it seemed like other small glasses repairs were free as well!It was done within 20-30 mins, enough time to browse Barnes&Noble next door. They even replaced both nose pieces with better versions even though I had only lost the one. Im definitely coming back next time I need any repairs done!

I’ve been getting my eye exams and glasses at LensCrafters for well over 10 years. The service is thorough and the deals are spectacular! Dr. Priya Subramanian takes her time to get it just right for my wacky prescription. The optical staff, like Lydia and Sophie to name a few, are very patient and always get me the best price. I highly recommend LC at Northgate!

I dont typically write a review, but this particular LensCrafters is amazing. I shattered my glasses a year ago and have no backups/contacts. So i began calling around and some were either weeks, even a month out just for an exam. When I called them to schedule an appointment praying it wasnt weeks out. They were so incredibly nice, and literally scheduled me for the very next day! The store itself is absolutely beautiful, and the staff is warm, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about my particular questions. The diversity and styles of glasses is actually very large. The doctor was so professional, and at the same time we were able to laugh while I had happy tears. I have been without glasses for over a year due to abundance of things, one being my i year old daughter needed glasses so to say the least I had so many important things to handle financially that glasses for me just wasnt something I was able to make happen. After my exam the doctor stepped out, and when she comes back she brings in a pair of contacts that were just about my prescription that I could wear until mine had come in. I was absolutely shocked. After putting them in and realizing I can see clearly for the first time in over a year I just cried! Afterwards when I was looking at frames and found the two I wanted (not sure if Im allowed to share their deals but I got 40% off of both pairs of ARMANI glasses) the salesman Barry explained roughly when one of the pairs would arrive, but said sometimes they carry lenses that are my strength and so could be shaped into a pair I had selected. Sure enough he came out and said he would be able to get at least one pair done within the next few days, but they were very busy so he said hed try and get them done as soon as he could, but to keep an eye out for a text saying theyre ready within the next couple of days.To my surprise an hour and a half later I received a text that the glasses were ready. When I got there I was basically already in tears.. He said verbatim I know that you didnt have anything, and youre a mom, and you put everything else ahead of yourself so I really wanted to get these out to you as soon as I could. They were still busy, but he still managed to do that for me and I just could not believe the professionalism of that entire establishment. I mean they truly listened to my story, the position I was in. I have never felt so heard and taken care of. I will forever go there and recommend everyone I know. Honestly there is something for everyone there. Thank you so much LensCrafters, you truly changed my life. Sounds dramatic, but the rest of my story they heard and took that to heart and really went above and beyond for me. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Thank you again LensCrafters but especially my doctor and Barry. They truly put their clients first and felt they were in good hands. And no, I was NOT paid or even asked to wrote a review😅. I just felt like everyone should hear about them!

I was pretty overwhelmed with what kind of frames and lenses would be good for me. Josie walked me through each and every lens for progressives and explained the perks and downfalls. She was especially helpful since she has tried the different lenses personally. On top of that she helped me find some flattering frames (two pair, one for computer use and the other for everything else). I really appreciate her help, I usually go to the same kind of frame and rush through the lens process. Josie made this feel like a fine tuned fitting. I cant wait to wear my new glasses!

This LensCrafters at the Northgate Mall is still open for business even though the Kraken NHL facilities took over most of the rest of the mall property. I like that this location has tons of easy parking. They also have a large selection of frames and sunglasses. I had an eye exam there and arrived 30 minutes early to pick out new frames and sunglasses. They were attentive and welcoming and didnt pressure me to buy. Dr. Newell is great too and I love the convenience of having an exam and ordering glasses in one shop.

Awful experience. After not being told that my insurance was out of network by LensCrafters partnering optometrist - Dr. Stephen Nevett and Associates, P.C., Lydia, the retail specialist was nothing but attitude.Horrible experience. When I asked if they work on commission Lydia said It does not matter with a disrespectful dismissive tone. I am greatly disappointed. Wasted time and poor treatment.Transparency of whether my insurance was in network or not up front by both the optometrist office as well as LensCrafter in a kind demeanor and respectful communication is the norm and expectation.I am going to Warby Parker moving forward. I received way better treatment there.

I had such a wonderful experience at the Northgate LensCrafters! I had just gotten my eye exam and those drops that dilate your pupils; things were a bit fuzzy and picking out frames was tough, but the associate who helped me, Barry, quickly picked up the aesthetic I was going for and helped me choose the two most gorgeous frames I think I’ve ever owned, having grabbed a pair he thought I’d enjoy (my favorite pair), and helping me get a feel for the details of the other pair I chose (by then, I couldn’t see the small details and he explained them with expert salesmanship). He did this all while helping me make the most out of the deals that were happening— the pair he picked out were actually on clearance, and I really appreciate that seeing my style, he knew those would be an awesome pair to show me; he showed that he cared about fitting my style and providing me with great pricing. He was highly informative and transparent about pricing, timeline, and how the whole process worked. Seriously the best experience I’ve ever had shopping for eye-wear and I will certainly be returning.

They did not forget to ask me 3-4 times if Im interested on their 1year insurance plan. When I went to pick up with the code in hand, they did not apply it towards my purchase, instead they didnt want to argue with me and preferred I return the glasses, and repurchase them. The New York store (81st and 3re) totally messed up my glasses and just kept going claimed the glasses was picked up more than 30 days without any other solutions or apology. The Optician Mr. Barry Oliva of Seattle Northgate Mall was extremely nice and professional. I wear glasses for more than 20 years, and he was the best Optician I have met. He took the time to check my glasses and told me the truth that my glasses was not made appropriate, also the frame choice had problem. I was very upset with the NY store. However, Mr. Barry made excellent customer service went above and beyond! He tried so many times to contact the headquarter or managers, think about any possible solutions for me, finally, he said LensCrafters will replace the bad glasses and give me a new one without charge. He helps me to restyle the glass, provide many professional suggestions and explained any details he did, answered all the questions I have. He even returned the frame difference to me, and provided phone, email, or text options as contact. I really didnt expect so much great service I can get! Also, the glasses was made so fast! They informed me via email that I can pick up it just in 4 days. This is my first google review (compliments), I think LansCrafters and Mr. Barry deserve it!

I came in because I had a new pair of glasses made in September and they were not working properly. I had an eye exam with another doctor and his results were quite different than the prescription I got at LenscCafters. I brought them in to see if there was something that could be done to remedy this, and spoke to Lydia, and as we talked I mentioned I had open-heart surgery about a month after getting these glasses. She assured me the medications I was taking may have had an effect on my vision, and she would re-make the lenses to the new prescription, at no charge (she stretched the time limit some to account for my surgery.) This saved me hundreds of dollars by not having to buy new lenses from another doctor. Lydia had my best interest at heart and took excellent care of me. I will recommend this particular LensCrafters to anyone who needs help with their vision!!

I had 4 different eye exams and 3 different sets of glasses from Lenscrafters since 2010, and the 4th time on 12/17/20 did not complete the purchase specifically due to the associates in the Northgate store on the sales side. Lenscrafters wanted to charge me inordinately more to replace the lenses in my perfectly good existing frames - even though my existing frames had come from there on my 3rd visit, and the fact Lenscrafters had since discontinued them, and there were no suitable options available that were any better fit or design wise, they would not allow any incentives or discounts to even order 3 pair of glasses! Crazy, they clearly are not interested to make the sale. I found lensable who let me utilize my existing frames, game me a great price on 3 pair of glasses (work, auto, and sun). The quality is impressive, and I will definitely return for my next pair when the time comes. Lenscrafters refuted any discount, not even my AAA card as a discount for new lenses in existing frames that I previously bought from Lenscrafters! The only way I would receive any discount was unless I bought new frames, which I did not need. Im signing them up for sustainability and sales lessons as they are clearly in need! I checked out Costco and Lensable, both have far better options and service. Being forced to buy frames from Lenscrafters to have any discount on lenses is abusive and improper for a company to demand or hold us hostage. Also, the associate was terrible to interact with, they did not bring any effort to the day.Received response with link that is a dead-end, reviews of similar responses show ongoing unresolved issues dating back 2 years! AVOID THEM!!

I DO NOT recommend this place. I didnt feel home while visiting this store. Attending staffs attempt to push you for the purchase. Theyre not helpful in finding the best for you. They overcharge you for the lens. A prescription sunglass lens with reflective coating, a prescription sunglass lens without reflective coating, a normal prescription lens (no sunglass) all are almost same price. This is no joke, they just try to rip you off. There is no transparency on price, so the staff can tell you any price they want. On the receipt they dont itemize how much are they charging for every add-on. The attendant didnt even give me choice if I can do a polarize vs non-polarized. They added an year of insurance on the glasses without me asking. Since that was the only price as an add-on, I could only remove that.On the day of receiving my glasses, I stood near the counter for them to pick my glasses. They asked me take a seat and continued their chit chat while I was waiting for her to handover my glasses (I guess thats because I wasnt there to add more money to their store).

They tried to charge me over $700 for a pair of glasses, *including* a $225 discount from insurance. I was only told the price after being held up for ~20 minutes in an elaborate fitting process that took much longer than it has at any other store. I was told that the glasses would take several weeks to be made (far from being made in 1 hour). Later, when I went to Costco Optical, I was able to purchase a near-identical pair of glasses for $120, before insurance, and the glasses were ready in four days. Dont get fooled by the LensCrafters scam, go to Warby Parker or Costco instead!

I had an appointment last week for an eye exam, and it was a positive experience I received a new prescription, and ran out to my car for a few minutes to check my messages. Upon returning, with prescription in hand, both of the associates were helping other customers at the desks. It was a young man with dark hair and glasses and a blond young woman. He asked me if I needed help and I said I was looking at frames, he said someone could help me when they were done . The young lady was done first she looked at me directly and then went over to the man and asked who was next. He pointed at me and indicated I was next. The female clerk said Im going to go help them and walked over to the two people who came in after me. All of this was said within my earshot as I was standing about three feet away from them at the time . At that point I waved my prescription at the man and said see you later. In summary, this was a poor and awkward customer service moment, and even though I bought my last three pairs of glasses at LensCrafters and my husband has done so as well I will be buying my glasses elsewhere. I dont mind accommodating another customer if there is a reason, but dont talk about me in front of me and then walk right by me and ignore me. I will buy elsewhere.

I came in to order new glasses and contacts. This review is for the glasses- the contact order was incredibly smooth and was through a separate office.1st- they somehow couldnt figure out how to bill my insurance (although the adjacent office for ordering contacts could) and then took a month to get me a receipt so I could bill them myself. I came 4 times over a months time and only on the 4th time did I get it. They blamed a system crash each time.2nd- They ordered my glasses in my contact prescription which was very off and resulted in super blurry vision. I brought in a clearly labeled prescription so it was due to a lack of paying attention! When I called to check what they ordered them in and realized it was the contact prescription the response was well if you think we did it wrong you can come in and we can see. In the end they got me the right prescription and my receipt. However, it took 4 visits over the span on a month to do so! Something that shouldve taken a week took a month!

The optometrists that I saw were incredibly kind and helpful to this first time glass wearer. However, my interaction with the staff (when it came time to picking out my frames and lenses) was awful. I had given them my prescription to be uploaded so that I could come back after my dialated eyes recovered. Upon my return, I was told they didn’t have my information, without even checking first. After some back and forth, they found it. I was followed around the store without any breathing room to try on and browse frames, and the saleswoman automatically quoted me with only the highest lens price for each set right off the bat. After insisting that these glasses were only to be used for some occasional reading, and to be kept at a desk thereby negating the need to survive some apocalypse, she reluctantly gave me price points that made more sense for my use. My glasses were ready rather quickly, though, and a different gentleman made sure they fit exactly the way that I wanted them to when I picked them up. I’d come back for the eye docs, but definitely pass on the frame fitting staff here.

If you need special lenses like I do dont buy your lenses at this store! My prescription requires progressive lenses (3 corrections: very near, computer distance, and far distance), an impact resistant lenses, and UV protection. I purchased a set of lenses (I had purchased La Font frames online) from this store two years ago for approx. $1,100.00. I requested a high index impact resistant lens per my ophthamologists advice, and specifically said I did not want polycarbonate lenses because in the past a lens in a pair of glasses I owned cracked. I explained that my prescription doesnt change much from year to year, and I anticipated at least 3 to 5 years of wear from the lenses I purchased. The man assisting me with my purchase argued with me, and insisted that I buy the polycarbonate lenses because in all his years of experience he had never seen a cracked lens. He was like the stereo-typical used car salesman, and used the same high pressure strategies. Eventually, I wore down, and purchased the polycarbonate lenses. Now that my 1 yr. warranty has expired (they did not have an option to purchase a 2 yr. warranty), one of the lenses has cracked.I highly recommend SPEX in downtown Seattle (on Stewart between 6th and 7th). I purchased a second pair of glasses with the same prescription, a different high index plastic lens, including the frame for $850.00. A few weeks ago, one of the nose pieces on this pair of glasses broke off (metal frames would have required sending them out to be repaired), and they replaced the frame for nothing, yup, $0.00. Their glasses have a 2 yr. warranty, also at no cost!

On January 10, 2013 I went to LensCrafters #183 located at 401 NE Northgate Way, Suite 530, Seattle, WA 98125 for an eye exam and to purchase new frames with progressive lenses. I tried the new lens for 9 days and several times during that period I experienced a feeling of vertigo. Ive been wearing progressive lenses for several years but this was the first time I experienced such a sensation.I returned to the store on January 19th, explained my problem and was told I should perhaps opt for the more expensive style of progressive lens. I’d already paid a tidy sum and am not in a position to dole out even more money so I opted for the lined trifocals lens for which my insurance company, EyeMed Vision Care, would pay 100%.On January 23rd I returned for a fitting adjustment and spoke with Jeremy Dennis about the price difference between the original progressive lens and the lined trifocals I now had. I checked with my insurance company again and verified they paid the full amount of lined trifocals lenses. Jeremy told me someone would call me by the next day, January 24th. I also told him I needed a bill for the new lined trifocals lenses.Yesterday, January 30th one week after speaking with Jeremy, I received a voice message from Angela telling me my lined trifocals are considered progressive and whether lined or no line trifocals they are billed the same a progressive. So it appears even buying a less expensive lined trifocals LensCrafters still wants to bill the insurance company for the more expensive progressive lens.

I had a great experience here - for starters the last place I went to had diagnosed me with close angle glaucoma - not having the money to have the surgery I was resigned to the fact that someday I would have an episode and be blind - when I spoke to the Dr. at the clinic attached to Lenscrafters in Northgate she did a thorough examinaton and said I had normal healthy eyes - I felt her examination was very thorough and when I was done I was satisfied that my new prescirption would be much better than my previous one - after my exam I went to the Lenscrafters there to pick out frames and lenses - Angela, and Christina were absolutely top notch and a pleasure to deal with - they listened to my preferences and helped me pick out the exact frames I was looking for in there vast selection - also, there prices are second to none - I have been shopping for frames and lenses for the last 4-6 months and found there prices to be better than anyone elses - there fitting process is accurate and leaves you feeling like you are getting a great pair of glasses - dont be fooled by the negatives, this is a great place to get glasses at a fair price
