Ive been seeing her for about a year now and have had a pleasant experience. She listens, cares, and supports me; but she also looks out for my best interest. I feel confident in how shes taking care of my medical needs.

I was never informed of the side effects of the medication I was taking. When I found out a decade later that my problems where the side effects I asked for advice about stopping and she advised cold turkey. Its been unpleasant enough I found a new psychiatrist. I would not recommend her.

I had her for a few years and was great. I recently called to make an appointment like I always do and I needed to have my medication refilled. I told her I would like to see her with in the next week and she raised her voice at me it was a bit odd. she had never spoken to me like that. I had to switch doctors.

Dr. Wellman treated my father for years, and made herself a trusted family friend with her professional advice and superior expertise.

Nice enough person. Pharmacolgically oriented Very controlling and impossible to reach outside of an actual appointment Her inaccessibility is starkly at odds with her mission. If you need someone to write you a script to medicate an emotional or mental health malady as a complement to your more legitimate therapeutic or wellness endeavors, that can work. Just make sure not to lose an appointment card - - youll never find a way to reach her ever again. One is generally left feeling that Abbys time is far more important to her than her clients.

I have been referring clients to Abby Wellman and think she is wonderful to collaborate with. She understands the mind/body connection to stress and depression and is compassionate about her clients and work. She takes her time for consultations, to explain mental illness, reasons for symptoms, and why she is prescribing medicines to patients.

My experience with Dr. Wellman was very positive. I, personally, deal with ADHD, as well as depression. After my intake, yet before making any decisions on medication, Dr. Wellman made it a priority to tease out a clearer diagnosis for me. For an entire month, Dr. Wellman had me graph, rate and document my daily executive functioning, along with my moods and emotional well being. Together, we were able to make sense of several key issues I have been challenged by. After an educated conclusion, she prescribed a medication that was right for me. The constant cloud of sadness has lifted and I feel much better.

Dr wellman is very knowledgeable about medications. When I described symptoms of ADHD she was very accommodating and prescribed a stimulant on a dosage she thought was appropriate. After losing the effects of the stimulant, she was more than accommodating and prescribed a dosages that I thought was appropriate. She was also very willing to prescribe a medication I suggested to help can manage the side effects. If you know what medication works for you, she is more than happy to prescribe it. Using her methods and medication, I like the way my mood has changed. I will definitely keep seeing her for what I need.

I rarely ever take the time to read the reviews on physicians that I see but in this case I really wish I would have, it would have saved me the time and frustration of having to see Dr. Abby Wellman if she can call herself that. She often times made me feel even worse for feeling overcome by my depression, lack of sleep and anxiety. At one point she even laughed at me in my face when I asked about changing the dosing of my medications for a short time just so that I could overcome the new hump in my life. A literal laugh in my face is what I got instead of a warm gesture or a word of encouragement that things would get better. Ultimately there was a misunderstanding on a scheduling day which I usderstand happens as I too am in the medical field and understand that these things happen. It took her 10 minutes to tell me that was there on the wrong day and attempted to find me a new appt date 2 weeks out, at which time I would have run out of my medication. The time it took her to do all of this she could have seen me and avoided my having to agree with every negative review that was written about her. Anyone smart enough to read reviews prior to seeing Doctors Id suggest avoiding seeing her all together. She was a complete and total let down and if I were a true erratic mental person I would be in real trouble. I have learned he hard way to now read reviews prior to seeing physicians. NEVER SEE THIS DOCTOR!!!! All she has is a degree and lacks the empathy that one requires to be in this field. I urged her to read her Google reviews so that she herself could see what her patients think of her but in all honesty she probably wont even do that. Shes a failure and she has failed me along with every other person that has written a review

Dr. Wellman is very unprofessional, uncaring, insensitive and totally out of touch with a patients individual needs. My experience with her was horrendous. She spent the majority of my very short office visit reminding me of office visit fees and penalties that will be incurred if I do not cancel or re-schedule my appointment prior to 24 hour notice. It will cost you $90. . . . $90. $90. $90. $90. . . . OKAY OKAY. Enough, already. What about my medical care as I sit here in front of you? Dr. Wellman is very curt and will cut you off in mid-sentence as you try to describe your symptoms and how you are feeling. She basically told me that I dont know how I am feeling. She Inferred that I dont know anything about any medications that might be helpful for me, and she literally cut me off as I tried to list medications that I have taken in the past. Dr. Wellman has no staff and is very unprofessional. Due to having no staff and the way she runs her office, patient information is compromised by leaving paperwork in common or public areas instead of with an office staff member that can file forms properly and confidentially. Prescriptions are written and left where anyone can access them. Perhaps the medical review board should look into Dr. Wellmans office practices. She really shouldnt have a license to practice medicine.

Dont do yourself harm by seeing this doctor. She is absolutely clueless. I wish I could sue her for ruining my life. She kept prescribing my SSRIs and then when the last one didnt work just like the others, she said she wouldnt prescribe me anything else and that there was nothing else she could do for me. I actually believed her and thought my condition was hopeless and gave up on medication. After a few years of hell, I found a new doctor in hopes there was someone/something that could help me. Turns out I wasnt Unipolar (depressed), I was Bipolar 2 and SSRIs are usually the worst thing to give to somebody with Bipolar. She stole years, happiness, and success from my life because she doesnt know what the hell shes doing. Do not risk it.

Abby wellman is a crazy, egotistical, ill mannered poor excuse for a doctor. BEWARE OF ABBY WELLMAN. READ ALL THE REVIEWS ON THE INTERNET. SHES A TERRIBLE AND HORRIBLE PERSON. Thanks for ruining my life Abby.

Combative and borderline disrespectful to patients. I dont recommend this person at all and had a very poor experience with her.

I was basically attacked by this unprofessional, scary woman- I had to call the police.

Unprofessional,dropped me in the middle of treatment, where is her Hippocratis oath?Just fired me for missing appointment.I am 86 with some problems, would you not think she should be more understanding?
