Watch out, seems like a scam. Refusing to file my daughters insurance, though the bill clearly has her name. The baby is covered under insurance DURING the hospital stay per our super great insurance policy. Called my insur and they are unsure why this company will not file the claim. Per your customer service rep, the group will not file insurance for a baby that is not on the policy. Well the baby doesnt have to be on the policy to be covered during the hospital stay of 4 days. So instead we get to waste time trying to jump through hoops to get the bill covered. I DO Not recommend using this group.

Awful service, completely unsanitarty, staff just played on their cell phones behind the desk and anytime we asked for anything, even a vomit bag, it was just a huge inconvenience. We will not ever be going back to this hospital. Childrens medical in Plano is worth the drive!

I wish I could give ZERO stars. Lets go back 2 years ago when I had my son. This company waited 2 YEARS to balance bill me, which the amount I owed them obviously could not be applied to my deductible 2 years later. Calling the billing representatives is a waste of time, because they are so unhelpful. Now lets go to this year when I had my daughter. Once again, we are now in October, I had her in May, I get a notice that I need to contact the insurance company for a claim that has not been paid. No other information, maybe like who the provider was? How about the billed amount? How about the date of service? So I called and got some information from the medical group, and in turn called CIGNA. Well surprise, this letter they sent me asking me to contact CIGNA to update my coordination of benefits, is actually a bill for me, because the claim had already been processed. SO A COMPLETE waste of time. I am beyond done with this company. It is beyond disappointing. And complaining to management gets you no where. It will continue their horrible billing practices.

Sent me a bill with no information of how much I owe other than its more than $500 and did t even have correct insurance information which they should have gotten at the hospital so I honestly should owe nothing because I have secondary insurance. Its obvious this place doesnt know how to do their job.

We had two issues- no treatment for baby jaundice & billing issues.Pediatrix Group (Megella Medical Associates) has subpar physicians who could cost a child their life if they are not careful. Not only that, but they are taking advantage of people who are not familiar with medical billing. To not process an adjustment from a health insurance company that was done in good faith is greedy & everything that is wrong with the health care system. AVOID THEM IF YOU CAN!I gave birth to my daughter at Medical City Hospital in Dallas, Tx. The pediatrician on call worked for Pediatrix Group & were, unbeknownst to me, not contracted with my insurance company. I did not sign a form stating that I would take responsibility for any charges for out-of-network providers while being treated at an in-network facility. Nevertheless, Pediatrix Group (billed to my insurance under Magella Medical Associates) sent me a bill for $2006.12. After spending a couple of hours on the phone with them, they informed me that my insurance company didn’t process an adjustment so I needed to file an appeal. Upon spending more countless hours battling with my insurance company, I did have an appeal filed & the result was that my insurance company processed everything correctly. My insurance company processed a good faith adjustment since I was seen at an in-network facility with no knowledge or control over the fact that an out-of-network pediatric team was seeing my daughter. I then called to inform the Pediatrix Group of this & was asked to email the explanation of benefits (EOB) from the insurance company. Approximately 2 business days later I received a phone call from their collections department letting me know that they already received that particular EOB from my insurance company. However, since Pediatrix Group/Magella Medical Associates wasn’t contracted with my insurance company that gave them the right to not accept the adjustment resulting in a balance bill being sent to me. According to my insurance company I owed Pediatrix Group $61.59, but the bill I received was for $2006.12. Of that total, $510 was billed for a “discharge visit” where a pediatrician come to our room for 5 minutes & didn’t even touch my daughter!Furthermore, my daughter was jaundiced & instead of treating her with phototherapy they sent her home hoping it would just get better on its own. We then continued to battle jaundice which resulted in a 3 day stint in a phototherapy bed where we had to bottle feed her to avoid taking her out of the light bed. The countless hours of issues this caused my daughter & our family was unnecessary had the pediatrician from Pediatrix Group done their job at the hospital to treat her for the jaundice while we were there.

Representatives there have no clue what’s going on. Had issues when my last son was born and now having issues again this time around. Next time I’ll decline any medical testing that is contracted with this company.
