Dr Neaves works out of Hope Speaks (formerly The Minirth Clinic) which due to public information such as published news stories and interviews, of legal/ethical concerns, Dr. Minirth had to leave and they had to change their name. From my first meeting, over 15 years ago when it was the Minirth Clinic, Dr. Neaves prescribed extremely high doses of benzodiazepines. He never communicated what they were for or our plan on how long Id take them). The past few years he increased them. He was prescribing me such high doses, when I was looking for a different doctor due to him probably retiring soon since hes in his 90s, no one would take me due the extreme dosages. I also discovered another doctor I never met was writing my scripts on behalf of Dr. Neaves. My frustration was he never told me he was going to do that.Since Im on a fully fixed income Dr. Neaves would meet with me only once every 3-6 months for barely 25 minutes. This year, 2020, I suffered many extremely difficulties causing my issues to just become so overwhelming I was being verbally assaulted multiple times a day, I was called names by yelling in my face, threats to hurt myself and my service dog, threats of violence from neighbors they know. Needless to stay I had to call the police out multiple times. As soon as I told Dr. Neaves his solution was to lower one of my benzodiazepines. After taking them so long I didnt know the absolutely terrible and dangerous side effects. When I told him about the side effects he got frustrated and sent me a letter I was no longer his client. He didnt care I was having heart palpitations, terrible chains pains, panic attacks, tightness of breathe (with already having asthma is really scary) etc. After several weeks I started having lost of sight and hearing, for short periods, extreme dizzy ness, vivid nightmares waking up screaming, forgetting things, easily confused, difficulty walking, hard time talking, extreme fatigue, and highly increased levels of anxiety.Per the Medical law in Texas a doctor CANNOT TERMINATE A PATIENT IN NEED OF CARE OR SUFFERING.Their office manager contacted me and intimidated NOT to write my experience or they will sue me. But I just dont want anyone to go through I went through for 15 years and then have a huge road ahead of me trying to get better.
