Dr. VanderWall is so knowledgeable, caring, and helpful. He is very personable and does an amazing job of working with you, no matter the issue. He is great at helping my kids relax and even have fun. The office staff is extremely courteous and helpful. I can’t recommend this office enough. In addition, Dr. VanderWall goes out of his way to help numerous local schools.

My husband had braces applied at this location. He felt the staff was very personable and welcoming. Very reasonable priced rates on services. The patients are treated respectfully and welcomed by name when entering the office. In case of emergency, the make adjustments to fit you in right away. My husband broke a bracket several times and they were able to fit him in immediately to replace. We would highly recommend this practice.

I knew my son would need orthodontic work done early on. Im so glad I went to Dr. VanderWall! He and his team are incredibly courteous, thorough, and so wonderful to work with. I was nervous about my son getting work done at such an early age of 8 (expander for his top jaw), but Dr. VanderWall walked us through the process each step of the way with patience and kindness. Super efficient office staff! I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes for any appt in the last 2 years. They are very friendly. Dr. V is great and everyone who works there seems very happy to be there. I am very happy with the end result of having my braces. Today was my last retainer check, so I have completed the braces process. Would I do it again? Absolutely with Dr. V and his staff!!!

Not only does my son need braces, but he has an unusual bite. We visited many orthodontists and decided to follow the treatment recommended by Dr. VanderWall. After only a few months, we see much improvement. Dr. VanderWall and his assistants have been very patient, kind, and understanding and have paced the treatment according to my sons tolerance. My daughter also had very crooked teeth as an eight-year-old. Dr. VanderWall put braces on her top, front four teeth for a year, and now they are beautiful. She didnt experience any discomfort with the treatment and is very pleased with the outcome. Our family highly recommends VanderWall Orthodontics.

We love Dr. Vanderwall and his entire team. I have 2 in braces and I am in Invisalign and we cant say enough good things about our experience. If you want a one and done orthodontist, this is not your place. Dr. Vanderwall wants to make sure your teeth and bite look amazing inside and out and will take the time to get it right, even if you need to wear the appliance for a few more weeks. We are very content with our daughters care at this office. Dr Vanderwall called the first night she got her palatal expander and called the night after her bottom braces where applied to make sure she is doing okay with her treatment, he is also easy to talk too and takes his time to answers questions. His staff is profesional and friendly.

Visiting from out of town and son had a wire pop loose on his braces. They slipped us in on an appointment short notice and fixed him up. Dr. Vanderwall and his staff we super friendly and very courteous.

Im not one to write reviews, but Dr. VanderWalls bedside manner is simply above and beyond. My 9 year old recently got braces on her top 4 teeth. She plowed through the wax in the first 2 days (She didnt realize that you cant keep taking it out and putting a new piece on every few seconds). I was in CVS buying more wax when Dr. VanderWall happened to call to check in on my daughter. I explained what I was doing and he offered to bring ME more wax. Who does that? While I would never would have let him go out of his way for wax, the fact that he offered solidified what I had already surmised. Very kind, very professional, excellent bedside manner and extremely considerate. We are new patients,and I really appreciated his cautious approach when determining the best plan for my daughters needs. Unless we move or my other two children are gifted with straight teeth, I imagine hell be seeing my family for awhile. Highly recommend this practice to anyone in the area.

A big thank you being sent out to Vanderwall Orthodontics. Natalie got her braces off today after two years! This was an amazing accomplishment considering other practices recommended jaw surgery and/or could not provide treatment. Dr. Vanderwall devised a carefully thought out treatment plan and kept us informed throughout. He was so personable and the staff is always friendly! I would highly recommend this practice. As an adult, I had orthodontic treatment performed at this same office. I had such a positive experience then and can say without a doubt this was the best decision. Yes, we live in Wake Forest but the personal treatment and overall cost savings was well worth the drive!!

I want everyone to know my story…. I am from Oregon and I am a graduate student at Duke University. While attending an on campus weekend, my orthodontic appliance broke and required emergent removal. It was Friday night and I was thousands of miles from my orthodontist. All dental and orthodontic offices were closed. I searched all emergency dental/orthodontic numbers from the Internet and reached Dr. Vanderwall’s emergency number. I left a message and within minutes I received a return phone call. He met me at his office that was closest to my location and successfully removed my appliance. He went above and beyond to help me. I am not a patient of Dr. Vanderwall’s and he was not obligated see me. I cannot tell you how appreciative I am for the compassionate, generous care he provided to me.

I just recently met Dr. Vanderwall, Id been a patient of Dr. Gilberts in the past. Had an emergency situation and called the office to find out Dr. Gilbert had retired. You can tell when a business is ran professionally and when a business cares about their employees, I hadnt been to the Horizon office in 9 years and ALL of the original staff is STILL there!! Thats impressive!! Dr. Gilbert was AWESOME and there couldnt be a more BETTER person to take over other than Dr. Clay Vanderwall!! I met him and it felt as if Ive always known him. Dr. Vanderwall went above and beyond assisting me with the issue that I had. I walked out of his office feeling 100% and he made my smile MORE beautiful than it already was :-) I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Vanderwall to make you and YOUR smile stand out in a crowd!! I have two kids wearing braces currently. They were apprehensive at first, but Dr. Vanderwall and the staff quickly put them at ease. We were amazed at how quickly my daughter’s front teeth were straightened and the gap in my son’s front teeth disappeared.Jessica is especially friendly and gentle with the kids each visit, as the braces are adjusted and the kids pick new colors for the bands on their braces. There is a running competition between them to pick the most relevant colors……to match holiday themes, favorite sports teams, etc.Dr. Vanderwall takes the time to explain what he is doing, the progress we are making and how the kids are responding to his treatment plan.Dawn and Erin in the front office are always willing to work with me on schedules and payments. They are extremely helpful and friendly.We are about a year and a half into our experience with Vanderwall Orthodontics. I have recommended them to several parents without hesitation. Overall, I would rate them with 5 stars.

Dr. Vanderwall and his staff are very professional and so warm and inviting. The office is a happy place to visit because everyone there genuinely enjoys helping others.Dr. Vanderwall always takes his time with his patients and the parents of his patients. I dont know how they stay on time with appointments (I usually always wait at OTHER offices) but we never have to wait. We always go at peak times and the place is bustling, but we never feel rushed. Upon my initial visit to Dr. Vanderwall’s office I was greeted by a very friendly and professional staff that made me feel as if we had known each other a very long time. As most people I was a bit uneasy of the unknown….BRACES. The staff at Dr. Vanderwall’s office helped ease my mind as they walked me through my entire treatment plan.Prior to my braces I had a huge gap in my front two teeth as well as many spaces between the teeth in my mouth. During my treatment I witness a transformation in my mouth. My teeth were straightening and filling in the empty spaces. My treatment plan lasted 3 years resulting in a more confident smile. I would recommend Dr. Vanderwall to anyone who wants braces.
