Wonderful office. Wonderful Orthodontist. Today I visited after doing some yelp research to find a pediatric orthodontist that would see my daughter and accept our insurance. Our dentist provided a referral to another provider that was not very helpful. Dr. Nelson came highly recommended on Yelp.The staff here is very kind and professional. They explained everything to me during my first call to make an appointment. Dr. Nelson has a very charming personality. He made my daughter feel comfortable, he completed the consultation quickly but not in a hurry. His assistant gave all the details, provided professional follow up with our pediatric dentist and was able to obtain my daughters x-rays from the other office rather quickly. The office is modern, comfortable and spacious. They have adorable American Girl Dolls on display.I highly recommend this office for your little ones or teens orthodontic care.

Nelson Orthodontics were friendly and courteous. They tried their best to make my dughter comfortable while she had her braces removed. I would definitely recommend Nelson Orthodontics!

My daughter’s best friend informed us about this office! She spoke nothing but great things and everything she said was all correct! Everyone was polite, patient and professional!! My daughter has needed braces for awhile now but I honestly know everything happens for a reason!!! It was meant for us to wait and allow Nelson Orthodontist to provide her with her braces!! As a parent I just know timing is everything and I am very happy we waited!! I love this OFFICE❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ive taken my daughter to 2 other orthodontics and I will say this is one of the best experience for my daughter. Dr. Nelson along with his staff is very friendly and concerned about the needs of his patients. If your ever in the area, I would highly recommend this place.

It’s a nice facility, black owned but does not have black employees .... go figure. The ladies in the office are nice enough and they are practicing social distancing and Covid protocol.

Was looking for a second opinion and got great insights from Dr.Nelson + a referral to a specialist to explore alternative treatments for our son who is missing quite a few teeth. Truly a path we did not think of. Very grateful for Dr. Nelsons knowledge, professionalism and kindness!

Nelson Orthodontics is a Great Place to have your Dental Work done. From the person at the front desk to the attentive Dental Assistants everyone is great. Very professional, attentive, and compassionate.

Dr. Nelson and his team are the most welcoming, amazing, and knowledgeable people I have ever seen. They took care of me during each visit for my appointments. I recently got braces off, and took care of my teeth and are looking amazing. They answered every single question I have had during these past 2 1/2 years. Theyre quick and efficient about what they do, its not a long wait for when they call you which is great. So far everything has been working well, hope their service stays efficient over the course of my contract.

Service is extremely slow. My sons father used to take him to all of his appointments; there was always at least a 30-minute or so wait beyond their appointment time. The one time I went, there was almost a 45-minute wait. Frustrating, considering that people need to take time off from work to travel to/from the appointment, and also hold the appointment. Even more frustrating was that three staff members were laughing and sitting around in the back office while we waited in the lobby, one being Dr. Nelson himself. No one ever offered any apology for the wait.They have chairs lined up a couple of feet from one another at this office, which I dont prefer. A short, blond woman had my son sit in the chair to get spacers placed between his molars, and remove the rubber bands that had been holding the space. I stand by the chair.The woman says I can go sit over in the chairs at the back of the room. I said Id prefer to stand there. She literally states, WE DONT NEED YOU STANDING HERE while she does the procedure. I ask why, and she states that bands could go flying and pop me in the eye, or some such response.If it was a liability issue as opposed to their desired procedure, then why were my sons eyes not protected...?I address the rude treatment with the short woman, talk to the doctor about the plan they came up with to extract EIGHT of his teeth (four being impacted wisdom), and leave.Perhaps a month goes by and, one evening, the frenulum under my sons tongue GETS STUCK ON ONE OF THE BRACKETS around a BACK molar! (This and other troubles seem to be fairly common with braces, according to user reports online.)Hes alarmed and in pain, so I immediately look their number up and call, leaving a message for their emergency after-hours help, describing exactly what happened.NO ONE AT NELSON ORTHODONTICS CALLED US BACK, either that night to tell us what to do, to remove his tongue from his bracket, or even the next day to see if he was alright.Again... THEY NEVER CALLED US, EVER, IN RESPONSE TO OUR EMERGENCY VOICEMAIL.But guess what? After my sons father stopped making payments toward his future treatment, the emails and phone calls immediately resumed.I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Nelson Orthodontics to anyone for any reason.

I would have given 5 stars if the orthodontist even acknowledged me or said hello. But his staff was pleasant.

Love the office and staff!! They make you feel comfortable at all times! The assistants are very friendly and make you feel comfortable when going in for your tightening of braces! 100% Highly Recommended!!!

I’ve never experienced long wait times here. Comfortable waiting room. Friendly, pleasant employees. I bring my younger sibs for treatment and their teeth are looking great. Highly recommend!
