The providers they hire , they really don’t care about their patients. The last two I’ve had appointments with (Sherry and Brown) are honestly two people I wish I had never met. It’s a great company but the psychiatrists need to get over themselves. Sorry but, you will not find help here, I advise seeking elsewhere.

Guys. DONT IGNORE THE IMMENSE AMOUNT OF HORRIBLE REVIEWS. This place is TERRIBLE. I told them what kind of therapist would be a good fit for me, and they matched me with someone using their system and it was a complete miss. The customer service lady told me how amazing the first therapist was from personal experience, but turns out she never met her. I decided to give them a second try with a different therapist. It has been a long time since I have seen one, and am in desperate need. The customer service manager personally spoke with me and said she had the exact right person. They scheduled me an appointment two weeks out at 9am on a Thursday. I was so excited because I looked the therapist up and I felt really good about what I saw and read. 815 on the DAY OF the appointment, 45 minutes prior to appointment start, I get a text saying the appointment was canceled. I called and they said there were no notes on why it was canceled and that they’d message the provider and I would hear back. Naturally I never once got a call back to reschedule or anything. I called again and they said they still had no clue why, but that the provider wasn’t taking new patients. Why would they schedule me with someone not taking new patients and then cancel the day of 45 minutes prior? TERRIBLE BUSINESS HERE.

I have worked in psychiatric care and now finding myself needing it for my child; however, this place is one to avoid! On our 2nd call, I was billed the full hour charge, but we barely spoke 10 minutes. I was rather shocked but said nothing. When I called a couple of weeks later with questions on the medication, I was severely grilled and the phone staff made it clearly known phone calls are not desired. I had noticed a new symptom and simply wanted to discuss a different medication option but I did not want to discuss private, confidential data with an unlicensed clerical office staff/random stranger. Having formerly worked in this field, I know what is appropriate customer service here and that I did not receive. If they are that concerned about money, they were already well ahead financially with that one hour visit for a 10 minute zoom video. Why was I being treated like I was stealing from them??? I have thankfully found much more compassionate help delivered professionally. The office staff at the new office allows me to keep my private confidential situation between just me and the Dr. - as it should be. Do not let this place intimidate you - find better help elsewhere. So many places around here, we do not have to tolerate abuse from MindPath.

My psychiatrist was relatively helpful. But unless you’re able to afford an opulent lifestyle, Mindpaths services are not for you. I was charged $700 for five, 15 minute virtual sessions. Keep in mind, there was no special equipment, diagnostics, or medical screening involved. It was merely a “how are you feeling?” “How do you feel on this medication?” type of thing. Yeah, for each one of those 15 minute FaceTime calls, they charge $140. Mess around and you’ll go bankrupt with them.

I’ve been trying to get an appointment here since February. At first I used the website as they tell you, and was able to somehow schedule an appointment that apparently “wasn’t open to new patients” despite identifying myself as a new patient. Okay, fine, I try again to schedule and the website gets stuck on the submit page. So I call and am able to make a new appointment with the medication provider I want.Well, fast forward to the day before my appointment (two months later) and I am notified it’s cancelled. No reason given, no offer to reschedule. I also find out they scheduled it with the wrong doctor. This is so irresponsible. I had just been released from the hospital for attempting suicide and I really needed (and still need) help but I’m moving out of the country now so it’s too late. They called me after I complained to them and asked if I could please be seen before I move, but no appointments were available for me of course. No apologizing either in the voicemail I got from the doctor. I heard they had great physicians which is a shame since I couldn’t even see one. Avoid avoid avoid.

Worst business practices. They only want your money. They kept mailing a bill to my old address and it kept getting returned to them for months. Instead of calling me to address the issue they waited months and months for the surcharges to pile up to let me know they had the wrong address. Why couldn’t they call the moment it got returned instead of calling me a year later to tell me this? Because they said that’s not how they do business. The worst customer service.

Dont expect this place to take you or your problems seriously. Was told last September I was being referred. (By one of their doctors) but they never followed through, they just abandoned me. Gave them another shot last week cause its so hard to get in person visits and they had one. The Nurse and I came up with a plan of action and I should hear from someone 2 days. Its been over seven and despite filling out the internal patient survey and asking for follow up I still have heard nothing. These people just want to pad their numbers. There is no actual care for patients, at least not in my case. I believe they abandoned me again.Shame on Mindpath for taking advantage of people pursuing mental health. You will not find help here.

I had a great experience with the therapist. The low rating is not for that. I AM EXTREMLY UPSET AT THE PREDATORY PRACTICE OF THEIR BILLING DEPARTMENT. I WAS CHARGED UNEXPECTEDLY FOR THE ENTIRE AMOUNT OF MY VISIT, WITH NO NOTIFICATION. *Edit* I spoke with a person in billing who told me that if [I] had removed [my] debit card, [I] would have been able to make payments in a plan. She also told me that they sent a Statement on 8/2/2021 and when they debited my account at 8:30pm on 8/4/2021 I had not received the statement yet, so how would I have opportunity to even make a choice? WHAT IS THE POINT OF SEEKING HELP FOR MENTAL HEALTH IF THE BILLING PROCESS FURTHER AGGRAVATES YOUR ANXIETY? This is a predatory thing to include such a statement in fine print when someone in a mental health crisis is seeking help. I AM FILING A BBB COMPLAINT. THEY REFUSE TO REVERSE THE CHARGE TO GIVE ME AN OPTION TO CREATE A PAYMENT PLAN. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I SOUGHT CARE WITH THEM BECAUSE A FRIEND RECCOMMENDED BUT I MAY CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT WITH THEM LATER THIS MONTH BECAUSE OF THIS. THIS HAS DAMAGED THEIR CREDIBILITY FOR ME. it also puts me in a terrible financial position where I cannot pay bills that I absolutely have to to SURVIVE.

Unbelievably unorganized and unprofessional staff. I’ve been a patient for four years, and in that time I’ve had 4 providers since they have such high turnover. Every time I have to switch providers I am forced to have an hour long session which they of course bill me for. Impossible to get in touch with anyone via email or phone. After having my child on a wait list for over six months and never being contacted to be informed they finally had multiple providers with availability I called and made an appointment. That appointment was then canceled and rescheduled multiple times without the office even contacting me to verify that the new time would work. Finally today my child was supposed to have her first telehealth visit. At no point in time either verbally, or via email or paperwork was I told I needed to attend this appointment, so Janika Leary canceled yet again and rescheduled - again without confirming the new time would work with our schedule - for the end of July. I was available and couldve easily joined the meeting today had I been told or had she reached out. This office is unbelievably unprofessional and I would recommend you avoid them at all costs.

Although the provider I worked with was sufficient the customer service representatives I dealt with in the phone were not knowledgeable about HIPAA or the prior authorization process and down right rude. Also the day I went in for an assessment there were two front desk people - the African American female wore a mask while the Caucasian female did not although there were clear signs that stated masks were required. I do not recommend this company. If referred by your provider demand better for yourself.

I havent been going to MindPath for very long, but I can already tell you I am incredibly grateful I was referred here. I cant imagine a better psychiatrist. Ive had two psychiatrists before that were very hands-off with my treatment. Theyd basically look at what my diagnosis was, tell me they were prescribing some meds and then schedule an appointment a few weeks later and ask how I was tolerating the meds. I never spoke with them for more than 10 minutes. It almost seemed like a waste of gas. But my psychiatrist at MindPath, Kelli Gaskill, has been very involved in making sure that the medications are doing what they should, that I know what the medications are for, that I know how to get in touch with someone and know what to do if something goes wrong with my medications, and has just given the compassionate support that has been lacking from psychiatrists Ive seen elsewhere. I cant speak to the rest of the practice, but I cant imagine a provider as wonderful as her would work somewhere that didnt align with her standards of practicing medicine, so Im going to assume theyre all just as outstanding. It did take a couple of weeks to get in initially, but if youre safe enough to wait, it is worth it.

Stay far away. Reception just opens with window and stares at you, no greeting. Olivia Glance said she would send me my test results when she got them. I had to repeatedly try to get them and then threaten to cancel my appointment before she sent them, after having them for over 2 weeks. She sees me for less than 10 minutes and acts like I am a bother the entire time. Still charged for an hour. She didn’t give me enough medication to last me until our next appointment because they charge to refill if it’s not at an appointment. She also lies about when she will be in the office or not. I tried calling for over 2 hours to cancel my appointment. My credit card is on file but I’m still sent bills. I tried to sort it out with reception but she said she didn’t know and billing would contact me. Big surprise, they haven’t. Olivia does not need to be working with the public, let alone people with mental health issues. She is condescending and rude. Her care put me back multiple steps in my healing.

Do not schedule an appointment with doctor Bryan. Ive never experienced anything worse.

Review №24

Mindpath care is one of the most unprofessional agencies I have ever had the absolute displeasure of dealing with. When you call to schedule an appointment, you are prompted to use an online scheduling software via their website. GOOD LUCK because any appointment you schedule online WILL be canceled. I have scheduled countless appointments only for them to be canceled within the hour, or in a few days, or within a few days of the appointment. Now I get it, technology sucks sometimes, so I’d call in to make an appointment. The women who answer the phones are very nice and helpful and understanding! You’ll be able to schedule an appointment, but it might be a month out due to their overbooking. BUT you got the appointment and all you have to do now is wait, right? Yeah, wait for that cancelation email that is going to hit your inbox within the week, or within the week of your appointment. HOW do you call yourself a mental health provider when you consistently cancel appointments on patients? DO NOT SEEK TREATMENT AT MINDPATH CARE IF you actually want to receive assistance for your mental health. DO NOT SEEK TREATMENT AT MINDPATH CARE because they WILL string you along until it is time for your appointment, then they will just cancel and leave you in a worse place mentally than you were before. Keep in mind, there is never any explanation for why they were willing to take your money but unwilling to actually keep your appointment. IF you manage to get an appointment, especially a medicine management appointment, be prepared to speak with a provider for less than 15 minutes, be prescribed serious medicines with serious side effects that will not be explained or even mentioned to you. Be prepared to be DIAGNOSED with mental health conditions from that less than 15 minute appointment. But don’t worry, they also don’t do their due diligence and will prescribe you 1. Addictive drugs like benzos 2. Medicine not covered by your insurance 3. Medicine that is $2000 a month without giving you any information! Have fun with that mental breakdown at the pharmacy, after fighting for months to get an appointment that isn’t cancelled, dealing with providers who don’t care, and having to fight tooth and nail for any treatment, you then learn you’re going to have to do it all over again and all of your time and energy and money was wasted because the pharmacist tells you the medicine isn’t covered and it’s hundreds if not thousands of dollars a month! I would recommend you seek any sort of treatment or support that is not mindpath care. If you want to give it a try, I would grab your ankles, because the only thing mindpath care can provide is a deep sense of being f***** over.

Love this practice and my provider, Dr. Liz Bruce. I’ve been going to her for years, and have really developed a great client-provider rapport. We worked together for years to figure out exactly what worked to help me, and I wouldn’t ever want to go to anyone else. I think it is incredibly important to have that consistent, uninterrupted care from one provider who gets to know their patients and what they need, when it comes to healthcare, and mental health care especially. I am lucky to have found a great provider, and thus been able to have stable, consistent care through the years and many life challenges. She works incredibly hard to make sure patients are taken care of when unexpected problems arise. Even many times when she was extremely busy, and I was running late, or had to switch appointments suddenly, etc, she found ways to work me in or even stayed late, to ensure my mental health care needs were taken care of. Even in this pandemic, she quickly adapted- offered TellaHealth appointments and even showed me how to use them, so my care would not be interrupted in this stressful crisis. Dr. Bruce is a wonderful, honest, expert provider that I would recommend to everyone.

Every time I went in I saw a different Doctor. Not one of them was personable. Trying to get refills is a nightmare, they never call back, and don’t get me started on their billing department. Ridged, cold, and not understanding of ones place in life. Living on disability is tough especially with two toddlers and a mate who is out of work due to back issues. They didn’t care, I was harassed by phone and letter over my medical bill. And even when I somehow managed to pay down the debt by 40%-60%. They still denied me access to a Doctor. So if you’re looking for Mental Help, I STRONGLY suggest you look elsewhere. All this “company” cares about is making money for their remodel, so they can have you seen by 20 different doctors who are just there until they find someplace better and higher up the pay scale. Save yourself from the Mental anguish they will put you through, and keep on looking.

My wife, who had been referred for help with prescriptions that were not helping the conditions for which they had been prescribed, learned that two drugs which had been prescribed to treat certain conditions were actually worsening her dementia. By removing those two drugs, we’ve seen marked improvement already. It’s not every day that one encounters a medical professional who prefers a “less medication is better” approach. How refreshing to meet someone who looks first to see what meds could be stopped! Elizabeth Bruce took the time to explore each of my wife’s medications and recognized their interactions with brain chemicals and brain function.

I usually dread a new doctor appointment and have to go through everything all over again. This time was different. We just moved to Zebulon NC and got the referral to this office by my new primary doctor. I was nervous. I went in and Thomas sat down, she was very warm and I was very comfortable from the beginning. I had my youngest of 6 kids with me, shes 2yrs old and Thomas made sure she had books and crayons so we could chat. Honestly for the first time I didnt mind explaining things to a new person. It was amazing. She asked what was up and it just poured out of me. To top it all off, she thought I was misdiagnosed all those years ago and wanted to try something else. I was game because nothing was working anymore. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for her! She nailed it! I have NEVER felt better. Never! I hope I never move again Soni can continue to see Thomas. I am also going to get a lawyer and file a lawsuit against them. No one should be denied help because of a breakdown. If this is how they treat their Patients by denying them help because of a breakdown then that means that they are not experienced or qualified enough to help people with mental and substance abuse issues. This place needs to an internal review and assessment of each of their providers. I hope my lawsuit will bring change within their center. No patient should go through the pain that I went through.
