Staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating (particularly in resolving a miscommunication which was my fault). Their procedures are safe, efficient and respectful of patients’ time. Most importantly, the medical staff I’ve encountered are fantastic.

I was very happy with my recent appointment to see Dr. Drabick. Everyone was helpful and attentive and Dr, Drabick took the time to explain everything to me, including my future plan for care.

My wife goes here so I was looking to set up a primary care appointment as well. I called the receptionist and they were rude, didnt listen to me, and made it abundantly clear that money is the only priority for this office. Im probably going to go elsewhere now.

Always easy to get an appointment that is convenient for my schedule The check-in experience has changed with COVID19 and I a VERY thankful that FMA takes our safety and the safety of their staff seriously. Ive been seeing Dr. Drabick for 12 years. He is always so compassionate and listens to any concerns I have about my health and takes the time to explain everything to me really well too. Ive also seen many of their other providers when I asked to be squeezed in the same day for some urgent issue. I love this practice, their providers, nurses, and all of the staff. I would definitely recommend them if youre looking for a primary doctor in the Raleigh area.

Beyond frustrated with billing. Called a week ago to ask about a charge with no return call. Then called again today to be told that part of a physical is this normal was charged as another office visit. $160 for an is this normal!? This is why people dont tell the doctor everything. Afraid to have a visit because your gonna get charged for every question.Update: Got a call back after I called and left this review. Was told I needed to formally dispute the charge. And she very kindly let me known that I was mistakenly not billed for another visit and theyd take care of that right away.Im not trying to avoid charges Ive incurred. Im happy to pay for services Ive received.

Dr. Flick is awesome! I have been going here since 2011. I have no complaints. Attempted to be seen here to establish a PCP after being referred to them by a current patient. First I was informed that they cant do a physical on my first visit, then they rescheduled my appointments THREE times in a little over a week...the morning of the appointment date.I have since found a Drs office that WILL do a physical on the first visit and has kept my original appointment.

Good practice. I moved to Raleigh in May, and I’ve had a couple of visits with them. They sent a friendly reminder for me to come in to assureblood pressure is sustained and have handled my insurance and their reluctance to provide 90-day supplies, which my previous provider could never get done. I travel a lot and this is very helpful. Thanks!

I love Ryan and Serita but the office staff leaves something to be desired. They have gone down since Dr. Moore left 5 years ago. And now my FMLA form is missing.

I would’ve gave a 5 star but the bad receptionist at checkin is why I gave it a 4 star. The one the worked at the computer by the front entrance on 2-13-2020 at 10:30am with her hair in a bun in the back of her head. Had on all gray. I was 3 minutes late for my 10:30 appointment which I arrived at 10:33am. She thought it was important to loud talk me in front of other co-workers and other patients. That was SUPER PETTY of her.She says “you know you are 3 minutes late for your appointment” I changed doctors and thought this was a good choice for me. But this has no bearings on the rest of the staff there I thought they all were amazing. I love my new doctor Dr. Lancaster and the rest of the staff. But that receptionist has no customer service skills at all. I turned and walked out the office and went back to my car but then I said well they already swiped my card for payment so I went back in. But the rest of the staff made me feel very welcome and helped me with my health concerns. Must be true what they say, there’s always that one.

I love going to Family Medical Associates of Raleigh for my medical needs!! I see Cameron and she is great!! She really wants to know how my health has been when I go in for a follow up or physical; and shes a good listener.! She really cares and offers sound, relative advise concerning positive life management choices without glossing over the medical conditions -- shes real good about breaking everything down into laymans terms as well as being careful with my out-of-pocket expenses when ordering any tests, labs or medications. I travel a lot for business and have seen other providers at Family Medical when Cameron wasnt available. Everyone there--other providers, clinical staff, reception staff--are so accommodating, friendly and nice. Ive been to other medical offices where it takes forever to get an appointment to be seen and then when you check in you wait and wait and wait to be seen by the doctor. But at Family Medical I can call anytime of the day and usually get an appointment that same day that will fit into my work schedule without having to take hours or even the whole day off. They have saved me from having to make many costly trips to an urgent care before going out of town. Best of all is their iPhone compatible patient portal where I can review my medical records, make an appointment or ask Cameron a question at anytime. Seriously, I recommend Family Medical Associates of Raleigh to all my friends who are looking for a good primary care facility for themselves or their entire family. My kids love the lollipops they receive when we are leaving!!

Staff are rude. They all seem to hate their jobs. Dr. Lancaster is the only refreshing personal at this practice. The other doctor looks at you like your a drug addict if you ask for anything other than what you can buy at a pharmacy. I wouldnt pay for the doctor visit if an over the counter medicine worked. The lady that checks you out is also miserable and rude. This place doesnt realize they are located in the center of the medicine industry in the Triangle. The obviously do not see the value in making the customers visit pleasurable. Ill be looking for another family practice as this place keeps getting worse over the years.

My experience at Family Medical Assoc of Raleigh has been nothing but stellar. They are always very friendly and caring and I have been able to get appointments quickly. When I go to the office for my actual appointment I have noticed how busy this office always is; however, I have always experienced minimal wait time and nothing less than excellent treatment. Unfortunately, I have had several health concerns, but I have always felt that my doctor truly cared about me and my health concerns and that I had their undivided attention. Family Medical Assoc of Raleigh is tops in my book and I plan to continue with them for many years to come

Dr. Joan Britt is my doctor. Ive been going to her for more than a decade. Shes absolutely professional, friendly and has a wonderful bedside manner. Originally, Dr. Britt was at another facility that merged with Family Medical Associates, so I traveled over there to follow her.The facility is fine as long as my doctor is available.

The Doctors here are great. I have seen many including Britt the NP, Dr. Ryan and my regular physician Dr. Evans. I always feel listened to, and cared for by the medial team. The front office staff are always kind as well. This a great place to go if you are looking for someone to truly care about you holistically. They may not have all the answers but they will try to figure out the best way to get you some.

Everyone has different experiences and reading these review made me feel like I had to leave one. They were nice on the phone and nice in person. They took care of everything I needed and worked with my insurance.

Dr. Drabick is an excellent doctor! He is very knowledgeable and caring. Ive been a patient of his over 20 years. Hes so popular sometimes its hard to get an appointment right away but when you do see him he takes time to really listen! The other providers Ive seen have been good too. There are a few times when I called in the agent could have been more understanding but doesnt happen often. The receptionists are always pleasant to me. Ill continue to go there!

I have been going here for 5 years, and its OK. Qualified staff, but I felt that since I didnt have any major medical issues, all of my appointments were definitely rushed. Not very personal. They also made me feel like the only thing they cared about was money. I switched primary cares for this reason.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Evans for close to 3 years. I have always been extremely satisfied with my experiences with them. Yes they can get busy at times, but thats going to be true with any practice. The facility is very nice and so are the people.

I have seen Dr. Evans for less than a year, and I have much confidence in him, as he is easy to talk to and kind. He is a great listener, focuses entirely on the visit, understands what the important issues are, and follows through on action items that need attending. I really like that he is quick, and does not let essential issues fall through the cracks.

Its the first time Ive been visited this office and here I sit 30 minutes after the scheduled appointment which we were 15 minutes early for. When asked if everything was going ok I was told then 45 minutes after the fact that they were running behind. Also the lady at the desk seemed agitated and decided to take that out on me.So my first impression is that they dont value the patients time or give common courtesy when engaging with the patient. Ill update if the experience changes.

On my first visit, I thought that this was a pretty good practice. People were friendly and I thought Ryan was thorough. After a week of being their patient, I am beyond frustrated with this place. Dont expect communication or updates from them. When a problem arrises, expect for them to be uncaring, unhelpful, and get ready for it to be your fault. They will give you a diagnosis, but no detailed steps on how to remedy it. Ive only been a patient here for a week, and Im looking for a more competent practice. Save yourself the trouble and find a different medical practice!

The staff is always extremely pleasant and they are quick to get you checked in and set up for new appointments. I usually am there for allergy shots, but the ladies at the front desk are wonderful.

I am beyond agitated. I have been taking the same medication, Synthroid, for 15 years now. They would require me to come in every year for bloodwork to refill a years prescription. That is completely understandable. WELL NOW THEY HAVE DECIDED I MIST COME IN EVERY 3 or 6 months )depending on the doctor, or Pa or Np. WHAT??????? Are you kidding me. They just want your money!! I am leaving them and will never look back. I would not recommend to anyone. People can not afford every 6 months of bloodwork for a pill that’s not even highly scheduled. Also, I rarely ever leave reviews, but if I can help anyone looking at this practice to stay away. They want money, money, money. That’s so unprofessional .

My mother has been a patient of Dr. Carr for almost 20 years. Since he joined this practice we have had nothing but problems. My mother suffers from dementia and I had to fax them my medical power of attorney multiple times to be able to speak with them regarding her healthcare. She had an appointment that had been scheduled for 6 months that we went to and she was denied service. They said her Medicare plan was inactive and that she didnt have health insurance. They didnt give us any options just that they wouldnt see her. I called her insurance company and there was nothing wrong with her insurance. I am sure it was a mistake on how the doctors office was trying to process it. They did not seem to care that they turned away a 70 year old that had been one of the doctors patients for almost 20 years. They never called to apologize about the incident. We have switched doctors and are still waiting for them to send medical records to the new doctor.

I have been a patient of Family Medical Associates of Raleigh since 1997....I have had excellent service, compassionate doctors and great staff experiences, not only for myself but also all members of my family. I have recommended many people new to the Raleigh area to this practice and all have been satisfied. Dr. Drabick and Dr. Evans are simple outstanding with their patient customer service.

Doctors and nurses are ok but the receptionists and support staff are unfriendly at best. But their insurance contact is the primary reason to go elsewhere for your medical needs! Its more than sad to get bills for annual physicals you absolutely dont anticipate to be billed for, and the insurance woman blames you for your ignorance. Go to a medical practice where the entire practice is concerned about you (personally, medically, and financially) and your complete health...

The providers are amazing. You would definitely get great health care here. The management team is unprofessional and unfair. Employment is not an option. There is no confidentiality or fairness. Policies are made and enforced by the day. Their mission is favoritism and nobody does anything about it.

Worst Practice I have ever been to. They don’t take your illness serious, they say one thing and do another. Never sent my prescription to the pharmacy. I will never go back.

Dr. Evans saw my two children today and he is Excellent--direct, caring, honest, and the children liked him right away! Also, the medical assistant did an awesome job giving my 5 year old son a shot. He was SCREAMING at the top of his lungs in anticipation (due to some prior negative experiences), but this lady gave him his shot pain-free. On the way home he exclaimed, Its like a miracle! and I agree. It was :)~

I came in with the flu on a Tuesday and they prescribed Tamiflu; on that Friday though, it had mutated into a sinus infection. I called them begging them to send in a prescription for amoxicillin as I’ve had lots of sinus infections before and know what it’s like to have one. I explained all my symptoms and they didn’t believe me, so they refused to prescribe anything but also couldn’t fit me in that Friday. That Sunday morning I woke up with my eyes crusted shut because my sinus infection caused conjunctivitis because no one took my illness seriously enough to prescribe me anything or fit me in with a doctor. Had to go to an urgent care to get treated. I wish they respected the patient’s symptoms and needs more.

Dr. Christie is a great provider! Office has been nice, front office Nicole is very nice and has been very helpful.

I have been going to Family Medical for nearly ten years. Overall my experiences have been positive, although the staff varies widely both in demeanor and competence. Dr. Jo is my regular doctor, and she has always been competent, professional, and very helpful. Most of my needs are sports-related injuries. Dr. Flick is, I think, a good medical doctor and a smart person, but he has the personality of a stump and gives the impression that he does not care at all about your health or you as a patient and that he would rather be anywhere else but in an examining room with you. I will never take an appointment with Dr. Flick unless there is simply no one else available (and even then if I can possibly wait, I wait for Dr. Jo or Dr. Moore or Dr. Drabick, all of whom are excellent).Where I have the most problems with Family Medical is their telephone operators who take calls and schedule appointments. These phone answering folks are almost always rude and unhelpful. However, once you get to the actual office, the staff with whom you check in is always nice.

I would not recommend this place at all. The receptionists/phone-answering people are always rude and unpleasant. And Ive had bad experiences with several of the doctors. They dont really seem to care about you or your problems at all, and allow you like five minutes to talk to them about your issues. Even though you have to wait like twenty minutes for them to come see you anyways. Definitely not worth the money or time, especially considering how unfriendly everyone is.

Mrs. Hardee, the NP, has got to be the worse NP that I have seen in any medical practice. She has absolutely no bedside manners and a very dry personality. I saw her as a new patient, and she literally treated me as if I was just another headcount to the practice. Im not asking to be treated as if I was the Queen, but a simple Good morning and smile would suffice. She was very short during the appointment and clearly seemed as if she was bothered. Whether she realizes it or not, we (the patients) are the customers, and if patients are an inconvenience for her then she needs to find a new profession.

I have ALWAYS been treated really nice by my Dr.& his staff..Dr Carr has been so caring I dont ever want to see ANYONE eles except Dr Carr & Dr Britt..I wish my Dr wouldnt had moved to this building & stayed where he was but I do understand at times u gotta do things u dont want to do,,I admit some of the people answering the phones are RUDE but I dont mind putting them n there place because Im NOT leaving my Sweet Dr. & his wonderful staff because of the RUDE ladies answering the phones Dr Carr has been my Dr about 7 years & I love him & his staff...

Absolutely shadiest place I ever been. Wanted to do only anual physical which is entirely covered by my insurance , was extremly suppriesed by the end of the visit, that I owe them $133 for”office visit” which is absolutely ridiculous. In my question on what is this charge is for and how my physical become „office visit” I was getting a lot of shady excuses on why they are charging me. They said that I sign paperwork and now they can charge me office visit because doctor asked me question how I feel and if anything is hurt me recently....JOKE!In sever times when I scheduled appointment for my physical over phone and during checking in and even with doctor no one mention that I might be responsible for extra charges , above what my insurance gonna pay them for anual Free physical which is preventetive care....SO MY RECOMENDATION IS KEEP AWAY FROM THAT SHADY PLACE, ABSOLUTLY WORST EXPERIENCE EVER,Not to mentiom when I was arguing about charges, they were not able to provide a logical explanation for the charges, another patient came really unhappy complaining about charges too, I felt so akward there but was already too late...I WOULD NEVER GO THERE AGAIN, NEVER!

I have used this facility for years and I must say that lately the experience with the front office has become just awful. Lack of customer service every time I try to call in, and I have being given the run around for one too many times. Getting a prescription approved is just beyond hard and almost impossible. It takes weeks to get anything approved, if approved at all. I am always asked to leave a message with the assistant, no one takes ownership of an issue and the assistants of course never answers the phone and never calls back. Its a shame, and as of today I am leaving and finding another doctor.

Having to keep rescheduling because they dont take new patients first thing in the morning. This last time I spoke with them, the first rep that I spoke with was really trying to find an appointment that would work for me, but after about a 10 minute hold, another rep came on the line and didnt seem like she cared as much, she was trying to schedule something for me but could never find a date. I told her I would just cancel my apt, she had no remorse whatsoever, and just disconnected the phone without notice, I thought this practice would be a great Drs. office for me seeing that Im new to the area but they have already put a bad taste in my mouth, will be locating other practices for my general health.

I have been going to Family Medical Associates of Raleigh for 18 years. Ive always been happy with them.

Great place to go to, staff is respectful and very nice, waiting time is reasonable and great doctors.
