It took me a long time to write this review but it’s necessary. I got my fingertip bit almost completely off by a dog in April and I waiting in the ER dripping blood for over 3 hours. (Yeah, I thought it was a joke too). So I zoomed to several locations to find someone to stop the bleeding and help me. This doctor and staff were so helpful. Even though they’re not a hospital, the doctor took it on and helped me so much. He cleaned it, numbed me, stitched it up, and sent me with a referral. Because of his job, I was able to keep my fingertip and it has grown back beautifully. I could not have asked for anything more. Way exceeded my expectations!

I’ve never came in early before but it was a weird experience. Overall I got what I needed and was able to get good medical advice and treatment. The receptionist was nice, but bias, nurse was a lil’rough but I guess it’s apart of the job, and I got the impression that Dr. Zachary takes his job really seriously and cares. There was a mess up with my prescription order twice so from now on I’ll have them printed when I visit this location. I’ll definitely be back when I’m too sick to visit the Millbrook Rd location.

The nurse I was given was a light skinned lady who was very kind and made me feel comfortable. And Dr. Zachary was very easy going and great as well. They made my experience pleasant.

I had an infected hangnail, so I just needed some antibiotics. Made an appointment online for 12:45 and was out of there by 1:15. The physicians assistant that saw me was so professional and personable at the same time! Great & quick experience!

I visited FastMed Urgent Care on a Sunday around 2:45. My wait time was short, within 15mins.Once called back, I was done in no time. In and Out within 30. Everyone had their Masks on and the place was clean.I highly recommend this location.The only problem I had was finding the place. Directions on the phone took me away from the place.If I’d just looked to the left going down Glenwood, I would have seen it. It’s located along side AAA, a Furniture Store and Firestone, in the 6000 Block of Glenwood. Easy Find! 😊

My first time using Fastmed. I had an excellent medical experience from start to finish. Professional and caring staff from the front desk to the examination. It was easy to schedule an appointment online and easy to get in and out. Highly recommend this facility for your urgent care needs.

I saw the PA, Zachary, and was extremely happy with the level of concern and care that he provided that day. He took the time to listen to, and address, each issue I had. He really seemed to care and went the extra mile to make sure that I was taken care of. I am very happy and would recommend him and this FastMed to everyone.

This office visit was the worst visit I have ever experienced! For a simple Office Visit (weight and Blood Pressure taken) I was unknowingly charged $753.00. I submitted insurance cards, which were never processed although I was told my insurance was fine. ( I received a bill 4 days ago indicating that I was charged $753.00!). I suggested to the on-duty PA what my symptoms were and what I thought I was dealing with and he insisted I was wrong. 2 days later, I visited another Urgent Care and was told that I was correct in what I thought I was dealing with. I was treated by the 2nd Urgent Care and have recovered. I would never plan on visiting this Urgent Care again and would not advise anyone else to.

New to the area and without a doctor yet so walked in to this urgent care without an appointment (and Im in between insurance polices, so I was prepared for the worst)... I was checked in quickly and it was minimal paperwork and just a 5-10 min wait to be seen. The physicans assistant and other staff I encountered were professional and nice. The pricing for uninsured was listed very clearly and incredibly reasonable for most procedures / needs. I felt I got quick, good care at a very reasonable price. I would go back if I needed to be seen in the area again.

At 1228 on oct 5th..(today), i called this fastmed because i needed a record from them to resend to my job. The secretary who picked up the phone heard me ask for a record that i couldnt get off the website. She told me to hold on...then hung up...and shut the phones off so you couldnt reach the desk. Ive called back 8 times since. This is who you employ at your office to serve the community? I will be letting my company know and urge them to go with another urgent care. We are all supposed to be health professionals..youre staff needs to be the same. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!

I visited FastMed with a respiratory illness. I was able to get on their website and schedule a visit for a time slot about 30 minutes from the time I looked them up. That made things very convenient. The staff and nurses were very friendly and helpful, I didn’t have to wait long to be seen. I didn’t feel like the visit was rushed at all, they listened to all my questions and concerns and symptoms and ordered a chest x-ray. They determined I had pneumonia and the NP set me up with a shot of antibiotics and then called in prescriptions for me. They also did a rapid COVID test for me to rule that out. The whole visit took about an hour and a half, and within a day I’m already feeling much better from the shot of antibiotics. I would definitely visit this location again and I’d recommend them to anyone seeking medical care who can’t get into their primary care doctor. Thanks FastMed!

For employment, I got tb skin test from this location, right before visiting, i took a shower and scrubbed the spot without thinking because everything seemed okay to the testing spot, I told the nurse but she said I should take x ray n blood test. At that time I felt like I’m being ripped off. Anyway I paid the bill out of my pocket . After 3 months, I got text message that I didn’t pay $80 and late fee added so total $110 that I should pay. I was confused so visited this location because everything happened at this location. I contacted billing depart. all the time getting robotic voices. Nobody cares. even the manager of this location said there is nothing they can do, just kept telling me contact billing depart. and she hung up the phone abruptly. Bad service, unprofessional response!!

I went to FastMed for speedy covid19 test but they told me to wait 2-5 days for results.They evaluated my cough and sinuses and prescribed a cough syrup that aggravated my body and increased my wheezing. At time of visit FastMed said “you are not wheezing” ( I did not agree!)I went to a different urgent care and received Nebulizer treatment and chest X-ray and different solution for my bronchitis.FastMed missed my bronchitis. I have sick for 4 days now.

Prompt and clean. No long wait time. Zach helped me get well. He has awesome bedside manner which is rare these days. Thank you again.

Waited two hours to get a drug screening. Front desk took forever checking people in. Maybe they were short staffed I’m not sure what the problem was but it was not a pleasant experience. It didn’t seem like they knew what they were doing.

Great experience yesterday at FastMed Urgent Care! I was able to complete paperwork from my phone before my visit, and had a very short wait time once I arrived. The staff were all pleasant, efficient and professional. I would definitely recommend this facility.

Ive been to FastMed three times within the past year. Each visit the staff and PA were professional, pleasant, and thorough. I was correctly diagnosed the first time of each visit and never had to return for same issue. Highly recommend.

Had to get a drug screen. The time I visited was very slow. I checked in and was out in 45 minutes. Everyone was on there game. Very nice to all there. Total 4 the whole time. Was called to the back very nice. Happy New years all round. If my 2021 was like that day every day , I would be in a wonderful loop. All I saw was ladies so thank you ladies for a very nice visit.

This lobby:waiting area was very clean, spacious, and equally inviting. There was minimal patients to allow for social distancing and safety regards. I was greeted warmly with a very prompt check in to the exam room, to a even smoother check out. Proven to be efficient, detailed, and professional yet not lacking in quality care and treatment. The staff was very engaging and friendly; full of smiles, positive energy and positive attitudes in the midst of this pandemic, plus surrounding the holidays. This was extremely impressive and more so appreciated. I am a stickler on customer service and rated a well deserving 5 for my overall experience. I would definitely recommend this location. Not a good experience! If you are the slightest bit concerned you have COVID do not come here to get tested. I came for a different reason but overheard the PA asking why I’m here?! To get help dummy that’s why people come to you. You’re going to be exposed if not everyday maybe you should think about a change in careers.

I went in yesterday because I cut my hand pretty good. The ladies in the back were so nice and so calm with me. They talked me through everything. And even showed me what they were going to do. So thank you, ladies!

Injured my leg during work and waited 1.5 hours in the waiting room to be seen. Tired of waiting for “urgent care” I left and the nurses were SUPER RUDE about me being a worker comp case. The absolute worst treatment of a patient.

I went in to get a covid test after not feeling well for a few days. The ladies working that evening were very professional and pleasant. They helped everyone in a fast and courteous manner. I received my results within 48 hours and they also did a follow-up with me to see how I was feeling which was appreciated.

The young women I saw was difficult to deal with. Listened to the whole staff socializing for 24 minutes before coming back into the room. I had to open the door and remind them I was there. Place was empty. Felt dark and so unpleasant inside. No one cared you didn’t feel well. My visit was a disaster from start to finish. Don’t bother going. It’s awful.

From the moment I walked in I was impressed Malachi at the front desk was so friendly, helpful and professional.Then I met Izzy she did a great job and explained very well what she would be doing.She, too, was super friendly, helpful and professional.Kaitlyn was my P.A. and she was very personable and took her time to talk with me and never made me feel she was in a hurry to move on like so many health care workers do.Malachi, Izzy and Kaitlyn were fantastic!

I went in for a drug screen and was in and out in about 20 minutes. It wouldve been a shorter trip but I couldnt pee but the nice lady at the front desk gave me a water.

I had a great experience at this location and the medical assistant (his name begins with an M) went above and beyond. I also had a great experience with PA K. Hagan. I recommend this location!

I had to get a drug test for school so I stopped by FastMed on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh, NC. I arrived at 4:45 PM and was greeted promptly by the receptionist. I was told it would be a 2 hour wait and she efficiently checked me in. I was called back, the lab tech was professional, and everything went quickly and smoothly. I was in and out in one hour.

Very, very, very slow appointment at 11:30 am but, didn’t get seen too after 1pm. Once called to the back I seen fairly quickly but, just waited so long to get called back.

I was very pleased with my visit. It was a little difficult at the beginning with insurance and the checking in process which really had nothing to do with Fastmed; it’s just a process that was a little cumbersome. The lady who checked me in was very professional and very patient. The provider I saw was professional and friendly also. Definitely nice to see that during these times when tension and anxiety are at a all time high. I’ve been at several FastMed’s including this one before, and I have to say they have all been consistently pleasant to deal with. I never had to wait very long times and the care I received was always personable, quick and efficient. I would recommend FastMed.

I had a good experience. I was called to the exam room less than 5 minutes. I was in and out in an hour. Very clean inside but, I dont remember seeing anything to wipe your hands with and. I dont remember if they took my temperature. They may have don all that I just cant remember.

I couldnt get an appointment with a doctor anytime soon, but I knew something was wrong with me. Went to FastMed and got seen quickly and they sent my prescription over quick. The staff was very friendly and warm, Im definitely referring them and coming back for any future needs!

Very slow and mismanaged. Unnecessary amount of paperwork that the staff should put in. Facility is fairly clean but staff is less than optimal. Wait times are unnecessary high as well.

More like slowmed. While I waited, I saw a guy with a bleeding finger asked to wait 2 hours. I waited 1hr for a drug test.

I was sent to this location by the VA hospital in Durham and it was a great experience! Let’s face it NO one likes unexpected Dr visits but I was taken care of quickly and efficiently even during the pandemic. Dr Stephanie is very qualified, knowledgeable and took care of my concerns. The provider was great.

They are so excellent. I wish they could be our primary go-to. We have gone often during CIVID, as primaries are only going telemedicine. They respect my child’s pronouns. They are kind and prompt. We are so grateful to have them nearby. We hate having to see an urgent care, you no one wants to be ill, but we love seeing these folks because they are so professional and considerate.

Friendly, through and very informative. I would recommend these folks over the angry Mob (doctors and nurses) at UNC REX. By all means go to the wonderful staff at FastMed first.

Giving this location a 1 star rating is more than generous. Avoid this location if at all possible. My experience was unsatisfactory from the beginning. On the day that I arrived for my appointment their computer system went down causing myself and others in the waiting room to have to wait an additional 20 minutes just to check in at the desk. Additionally they had nothing in place to encourage social distancing. After I was tested I was told I would receive my results in 3-5 days, which was false. I’m still waiting. I called yesterday and was transferred to the “back” and once the call was sent to the back it disconnected. I called back and it took much longer to get someone to answer the phone. When someone finally answered the phone I politely told them that I had just called and was transferred and the call got disconnected. The response that I received was, “Oh that’s because no one is back there to take the call.” Why transfer my call if you know no one is back there to take my call? The person I spoke with took my name and number and said she would have a provider call me back. I have yet to receive a call back so I called again today and I had to call 5 times before I could actually speak to someone. The person who answered the phone was very rude and cut me off mid sentence and my issue has still not been resolved. I will hopefully have to never go to this place. Avoid this FastMed if at all possible!

I went in for a Covid test. I checked in online and was in and out of the office in less than 20 minutes. The staff was efficient and helpful.

It was nice to be greeted with a friendly smile. I did not have to wait long, & my time with the nurse was quick, but thorough.

Horrible place to go they had one MA working and about 10 patients I went in there for a work drug screening and was there for 45 minutes and the woman never gave me back my drivers license. They really need to get it together here and hire sufficient staffing especially during a pandemic they are not taking proper precautions and had nothing to hang my bag on and instructed me to leave it on a dirty counter. They are definitely not following proper protocol considering.

FastMed was exactly as the name says, fast! I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. The entire staff made me feel extremely comfortable and well taken care of. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

Staff was friendly. Wait time was rather long but expected with no appointment. Social distancing was in place. Provider was very friendly and informative. Would recommend to anyone needing a timely COVID test.

UPDATE:A doctor called to tell me more about the medication, why it was prescribed, and apologize for not having had the side effects explained. She also explained that their policy is that patients with insurance cannot use self-pay, which is counterintuitive but I assume more profitable for them. If I were to ever visit again, Id be better off lying about having insurance to save $40-50 or more.Based on my experience and this policy, but also on the personalized call and the other aspects of my visit which werent bad, I changed my review to 3 stars from 1._____________My visit itself was fine in spite of waiting like an hour past my appointment time. My issue was with the cost and with the prescription I was given.I felt that the dosage of the medication (a powerful steroid) I was given was unnecessarily high. I also experienced side effects that were worse than the issue itself and were never explained to me, even in my checkout paperwork.My biggest qualm was that I was forced to use my insurance in spite of requesting the self-pay offer because I know I am underinsured. I ended up paying $130 for a visit with no tests that would have cost me about $90 with two tests included. I contacted my insurance and they said they couldnt do anything about how the provider billed them.If I am contacted and things are made right on your end I will revise my review, otherwise Id 100% recommend other people avoid this place.

Quick and easy! I just walked in without an appointment for my pre-employment drug screening test. The staff was extremely pleasant, polite, helpful. I would definitely recommend going there for pre-employment drug screen testing.

I showed up at the Glenwood Avenue location in Raleigh, NC to complete steps for a drug test, for a new job. Both of the ladies at the front desk were attentive and professional. They were both patient and personable. It was my very first time at a FastMed and I honestly would only go to this location going forward, based on the experience I just had. It was quick and Im referring everyone I know to this location. I had a very positive experience.

I have come here twice. Once with a bad cut to my hand that the PA sewed up so nicely it healed as if I went to a plastic surgeon. My last visit was for an asthma attack. The PA Stephanie and the Jasmine who took my xrays could not have been nicer. Why would I ever go to an ER, when I can come here and be treated quickly and compassionately. I highly recommend Fast Med.

I went to FastMed for a pre employment drug screening and had a great experience. The facility was clean and parking was abundant. Check-in was expedited with the online check in system and I can say that I was in and out of there within 15 minutes easily (maybe 10)! Would be sure to go back.FYI I arrived around 4pm which Google showed to be a less busy time to go 👍

There was no waiting line which made the visit convenient. When I checked to see if they had my name spelled right it was misspelled which was not good. It makes you think things are not taken serious and the information is not accurate. They said they would correct it.

FastMed saved the day! My husband took a fall and ended up breaking one of the small bones in his foot - just after losing his job and health insurance as a result of COVID. Thankfully we found that FastMed has a great urgent care system that wouldnt cost us $200-400 for an uninsured x-ray. Malachi, Stephanie, and Rhina were AMAZINGLY HELPFUL. Thankfully my husband didnt need surgery but other urgent cares in the area would have cost us $300-500 if not more and our appointment was $150, which included the necessary x-rays. If you are insured or uninsured and run into an urgent care situation, this is the place to go. Thank you so much, Team FastMed!

Went in with my toddler for an allergic reaction that ended up sending him to the ER and they took him straight back and all the staff was extremely friendly! The receptionist came back to the room for the paperwork rather than having us fill it out up front which was super nice given the situation. The PA, I believe her name was Amy, was super sweet and great with my son and assuring me I did the right thing. I do not remember the nurses name but she was great as well! I would definitely recommend this urgent care to anyone!

I went twice this past week for a workers comp injury (initial visit and follow up visit). There were different people working both visits, but I was pleased with everyone! The front desk ladies, medical assistants, and physician assistants were all kind, friendly, and efficient! (Glenwood Avenue location)

Longest wait time ever. Had an appointment time and was still here for over an hour waiting. Told multiple times that I was in a very large time crunch and no one was out there.

This urgent care was phenomenal! I was taken care of quickly with a super short wait time. Manager was so helpful and kind. She made me feel comfortable and cared for. I would definitely go back !!!

I was very pleased with my first visit at the FastMed- Family Medicine in Garner. The staff was very nice and made me feel comfortable. Melissa was the best. She was very attentive and very caring. I recommend that if you are looking for a great Fastmed to go to....this is the one for you!

They gave me a good assessment and had the ability to xray if needed. We decided I still need to go to the emergency room but felt better checking here first. The loss of one star is they just seem to have a longer wait then is needed and now sure why, I also referred someone and they seemed to have a very long wait for the number of people there. Hope they are working on improving that.

I was extremely disappointed with my visit to FastMed on Glenwood Ave. While sitting in the waiting room, two individuals came inside asking for COVID tests. They were told to sit in the waiting room, thus jeopardizing the rest of the patients’ health in the waiting room. I was disappointed that they were not asked to wait in their car or met outside to be tested. Additionally, an individual came in without a mask on and was never asked to put one on. He was able to sit in the waiting room without a mask.As a health care facility, this urgent care should take EVERY precaution to ensure the health and safety of all patients, especially in the midst of a global pandemic.

I have been to another FastMed near my house and I will now drive that extra difference to come to this location. We arrived right before close right before Christmas and they still took us and were so friendly and caring. I dont even feel this way at my primary doctors office. They even stayed late to make sure there would be no issues with our pharmacy filling our prescription. They definitely went above and beyond!

My experience was amazing they are an awesome team. Calmed me down and was very welcoming .

Had Appt on Sat. 8/1 for a Pre-employment medical check. Staff was friendly from the second I walked in til the second I left. They went above and beyond for me providing I was from out-of-state and needed certain tests done to fulfill my employers requests. Nurse and staff called a staff member who was off that day in order for me to complete the spirometry.. Truly thankful for the staff at this location for bailing me out so I didnt have to extend my stay til Monday... Friendly & Outgoing members at this location!Thank you!!

Came in for numbness, for the physician to say I need to go to the dentist. Did not even check my mouth until I said there was discomfort. I fully understand that if it’s not a nerve thing there is nothing they can do. I also understand the laws regarding prescribing medication. Noted, the rush that I felt in the office made me feel completely uneasy and judged when I do not go to the doctors often and had to rush to get off of work to go to the doctors, only to have what feels like a slap on the wrist and a quick note to send me off.

They were extremely friendly, professional and welcoming. The stay treated my baby like it was their own. If I am ever in need of urgent services again, I will definitely go there!!!! They ROCK!!!

Was there yesterday, VERY FAST! Courteous staff. You should feel very comfortable visiting this clinic, I did and will return if need be.

Understaffed and unskilled team. Poor communication. Highly unprofessional. Blood collection tubes not stocked. I do not recommend this location. I would, however, recommend that the executors of this facility take a hard look at the hiring process. This place is in some serious need of experienced healthcare professionals.
