I have been going to Raleigh Eye Center for many years, and todays visit just exemplifies why I like them so much. Dr Lori Couch is not only friendly and so likable, she took so much time to discuss my health, eye issues, options and in developing a plan of treatment. I regard her to be the best contact lens person in the Raleigh area if not more. Tina Woods in the dispensary was so willing to give me some trial lens that might help and just said call me anytime for help. Amy at the front desk was also so nice and helpful. Everyone went out of there way to provide the best service possible and make me feel special and valued. You just dont see this genuine care and service much today. Raleigh Eye Center has my highest recommendation; without doubt they are the best show in town.George Clark

A wonderful place I have been a patient since middle school. Now I am fully grown adult. I am a bit upset today spoke with a lady name Tina in the dispensary dept and she was very short and rude with me and had such a nasty attitude. I was only trying to order contacts and get info about my coverage for my eye plan. She was not helpful at all. I don’t ever want her to help me again. I understand we all have bad days but my goodness if you don’t like your job then find another one .

The front desk staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They assisted in helping me figure out my insurance and how to file. Dr. boards was on time, thorough and answered all of my questions. At our appointment, the front desk staff went above and beyond in their engagement and friendliness with my eight year old son. Would definitely recommend this practice.

My experience was very pleasant. The eye doctor and whole staff were both very personal and professional. I felt at ease during the entire process. Picking out frames for my new glasses was a breeze. I will not hesitate to visit again. Yes I would recommend this business to others.

My son was seen yesterday and our experience was very unpleasant. No one was friendly not even the receptionist! it made me feel very uncomfortable. It was also not child friendly either! and this was my child’s first time going to an eye doctor as well. You can tell they don’t take pride in there job and establishment. Also when it came time to diagnose him Dr. Boards assistant used google to figure out what she needed to write! & she was also extremely unpleasant an does not work well with children at all! She made me even more uncomfortable! we will not be going back & I will spread the word to my child’s pediatrician in hopes they can refer ALL patients to some one else!

I saw Dr. Boliek, who was thorough, efficient, and kind. Hes very knowledgeable and explained information in an easy-to-understand way. I highly recommend him!

Dr Couch is the nicest, funniest and the most professional doctor I have ever seen. She made me feel very comfortable. I love her

Been going to this practice for over 10 years. Sometimes there has been new staff that are not very friendly but you meet some really outstanding assistants for the most part. They helped make the visit pleasant. I just want All the staff to know customer service is critical. It shows patients that you actually care about their well being! Also if your appt is at 10am you should be seen at that time. People have important jobs just like the doctors do.

The front desk did their jobs at the most basic level, but it is always disappointing to be treated condescendingly or to be dismissed. When pulling up my insurance, I was told I was using my “eye-med” insurance - I stated I didn’t know what that was as I misheard and heard “I mad” and asked repeatedly for clarification. No answer the first time I asked and the second time when the receptionist kept mentioning “eye-med” while giving me more information about my appointment. I said one last time that I had no idea what she was saying and she finally said “eye medical - your vision insurance is being used”…it was unnecessary dialogue, of course my vision insurance is being used…I’m at the eye doctors.I walked in 10:50. It is now 11:50 and I still have not had my evaluation. I will not be returning to this location.

Ive been an existing patient here for years, recently my health coverage had to switch to Medicare (Fed Law) even though I am still employed. Evidently This facility has made a decision not to return my calls or emails to schedule a check up & new prescription because of my switch to Medicare. I get it, its about the bottom line, but being an existing patient? Really? Never had any issues with my service or my Dr. however their decision is a disservice to our community.Thank you Leslie for reaching out to me with a response.

Tried getting my 4 year old glasses twice. The guy ordered one pair of glasses for him to be able to try on and said it would be a few days and it’s been 3 weeks. Didn’t offer a single alternative. Both assistants rude both times. Not friendly. Didn’t try to go over any options with us. Pretty much just stared at us like we were supposed to know what questions to ask or know what to do. This is completely new territory for him getting his first pair of glasses and they just acted like we were a huge inconvenience to even be there. So sorry for wanting you to do your job.

Was very satisfied with my recent visit. The entire staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. My questions were answered and I felt confident with my exam results. I did visit the Optical Dispensery but did not make a purchase. Received assistance with my current pair of glasseswhich were purchased there on a previous visit. The eye technicians Dani and Phani were excellent! Both of them are very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and helpful. Dr. Johnson figured out that my previous contact lens prescription was over correcting my eyes. She gave me a new prescription, which has really improved my vision. I haven’t seen this well in years. I would highly recommend this group of talented professionals!

Great doctors, great staff. Have nothing but good to say about everyone at the Raleigh Eye Center. If I had one complaint, it’s the wait time. You get there 15 minutes early and they call you back over an hour later. These doctors have got to quit over scheduling. Our time is as precious as theirs. Again though, these are great ophthalmologist though.

I took my daughter to see Dr Jeffrey Board today for an urgent issue. Everyone was so kind and helpful. We called in the morning and we’re able to get an appoint for the same day, which is awesome for scary eye issues. This is not the first time they squeezed us in for an urgent issue, either! Rachel was super helpful at the front desk. And Dr Board’s tech did a great job being kind to my daughter and put her at ease for what was about to come. Considering we were a same day schedule this and last time, we barely had to wait. And Dr Board is just such an excellent practitioner, so knowledgeable. Great experiences both times!

Dr. Lin was amazing!! She was so wonderful and patient with my 2 year old. She is a child whisperer. She took the time to answer all my questions as a concerned parent. The staff was great too. They have my entire family now as patients.

They treat you better than family, everyone goes out of their way to help in any way possible.I always feel welcome and they are truly concerned about the patient.

I am writing to share a VERY POSITIVE experience I had this afternoon with Vanessa of the Raleigh Eye Center. My son is patient there and wears contacts. He is taking a new medicine and I needed to discuss some things with Vanessa. Vanessa returned my call quickly and patiently answered all my questions. She provided EXCELLENT service and I most appreciate it.

I saw Dr. Anita Vin about 2 months ago because Id been experiencing visual changes & abnormal pressure in my right eye.Dr. Vins Technician was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional! She dilated my pupils, performed my eye exams, and answered a lot of questions for me.But, when Dr. Vin came into the exam room, she appeared to be very rushed & frazzled. She told me that nothing was wrong with my eye & that it was natural to have vision loss, especially after LASIK. Dramatic vision loss?? I had no problems seeing the TV screen or while driving until my vision suddenly changed a few months ago. She had no explanation for it & rushed out, leaving my questions unanswered.Finally, I went to Raleigh Eye Centers Opticians office to pick out a pair of glasses. The lady who helped me was just wonderful; she didnt hurry me & was very professional & friendly.I wish that I could remember the names of Dr. Vins Technician and the Optical Technician. Unfortunately, I cant minimize this review to call & ask, or Google will lose my review..but, if I find out, Ill update this. These 2 ladies were the only reason that I gave Raleigh Eye Center the stars that I did.

The reception desk was very pleasant and truly interested in me. The eye technician was most helpful and also very pleasant. My Dr has always been someone I enjoy seeing and visiting with.

Dr. Boliek is an excellent doctor and has a patient, calming manner. The surgical coordinator Rebecca Hall is wonderful. Very informative and reassuring. The people at the front reception area are cheerful and kind. All the technicians I’ve seen are knowledgable, friendly, and good at their jobs.

Dr. Magolan and his staff were thorough, knowledgeable, informative, and courteous. They gave me the most thorough eye exam I’ve ever had (and there have been a lot since I’ve worn glasses or contact lenses since the age of ten, and I am now seventy). Dr. Magolan did an amazing exam and took the time to explain his findings thoroughly. I would definitely recommend him to anyone concerned about macular degeneration.

Everyone at Rsleigh Eye Center was friendly and professional. Dr. Vin was running behind due to having to take longer with the patient before me but her assistant came in to let me know and Dr. Vin spent a good amount of time with me. A very good practice and ophthalmologist.Just had my post op visit from my second cataract surgery with Dr. Vin. I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with her and her staff. I have already referred friends to her.

The office staff are incredibly warm and welcoming! My technician, Candace, was very thorough in going over my past history and very carefully explained an option for an enhanced photo of my eyes. Dr. Tailor was timely, considerate, caring and went over my current eye conditions...and talked to me about future possible eye health changes. My experience was so pleasant and not at all stressful! So glad for such fine medical care!

Im a 48 yo woman with an abnormal fear of all things eye but this was a very pleasant experience. The young lady who checked me in was very kind and friendly. Im sorry I wasnt able to catch the technicians name who administered my eye drops and made me feel absolutely at ease throughout the process because she was wonderful! Dr. Boliek was very helpful and courteous. Im grateful to have found Raleigh Eye Center and Im not even dreading a return visit next year.

I was very impressed when I went to my eye appointment yesterday. My former doctor retired and I was happy to be placed with Dr. Anita Vin. She was young and very amazing! She’s an expert in her field and I couldn’t be happier with her expertise and personality. The pre-testing was actually fun with the technician who made it so Due to her bubbly personality and humor. The young girl at the reception desk was incredibly friendly and professional as well.

This was my second visit to Raleigh Eye Center. I was still extremely impressed as how efficiently their process worked. I had several tests done and each time the technician was very kind and patient especially when the testing photographs of my eyes and blinking would negate the photo process. Dr. Magolan was helpful and explained what he saw. Actually, there was no retinal bleeding, as their was before, and the site was healed.I felt ver grateful and satisfied after seeing him

Dr. Vin was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to speak with. Concerned with my eye conditions, Dr.Vins expertise allowed me to feel comfortable about my healing. She explained things explicitly and addressed future concerns. Pleased with her professionalism and knowledge.

Terrible, dry, uninterested-to-help phone customer service. I tried to schedule an appointment with them with no options offered to my particular situation. If you are looking for a caring place that understands you are a patient, this is not the place. I do not recommend.

Dr. Vin was excellent! She was astute, friendly, and caring, as well as very thorough in her service delivery.The technician was friendly andindustrious, however, she did not appear to know how to use the equipment which caused her to redo part of the testing procedure and cause the time to be extended. She did seek assistance from a co-worker which quickly resolved the problem.

I had a great experience.. everyone did a great job.. but I’m not looking for a great experience I was there to find out about what was going on with my eyes .. some people give bad reviews because it wasn’t GREAT!!! they didn’t get enough attention or the price was to high..I think they want a red carpet treatment and to feel like they just had a massage when they leave.. I receive what I went there for and everyone was nice ..the lady that took me to a room to go over my meds and checked my eye pressure was fast and did a great job..no one could do any better she’s top notch … Dr Boliek examine my eyes..didn’t take him very long to give me a diagnosis.. you have to understand the doctors are trained and do this every day…. The girls at the front desk are top notch.. and when I called for an appointment i got a person on the phone to set up the appointment fast..I received what I went to Dr Boliek for ( he did make me laugh) I recommend Raleigh Eye Center .. thanks

Dr Kerry Hunt is the best. His staff - Trish, Corinne, the front desk people, everyone is so nice and professional. The Blue Ridge Rd office is my preferred location and they are prompt and courteous. A+++++

My first visit to the Blue Ridge Rd. office will not be my last. The receptionist greeted me the moment I came through the door. She was very kind, and made the check-in process pleasant. Before I even sat down, Ashley appeared at the door to start a battery of tests to determine why I was having a vision loss. She was extremely professional, amiable, and patient. Thankfully, Dr. Hunt was able to determine the cause of my problem. He referred me to a retina specialist for further care. The Surgical Coordinator, Corinne, even made that appointment for me. . She was very pleasant and helpful. I was extremely satisfied with the entire visit and every staff member.

For anyone considering cataract removal surgery, I would strongly encourage you to choose The Raleigh Eye Center. Dr. Boliek removed a cataract from my right eye and performed Lasik surgery to improve my astigmatism at the same time. I had no pain and no discomfort. In less than a week, my eye had healed and my vision in that eye is 20/20. Dr. Boliek and his team carefully explained every step in the procedures so that I would know exactly what to expect. From the front desk staff to all those technical staff who took eye pressures, measurements and set up my surgery, I was completely reassured about the prospects of eye surgery. Dr. Boliek spent time with me just before the surgery to make sure I was comfortable and again explained what he would be doing. He and his team made every effort to provide information and to answer any questions I had about the surgery. They are extremely patient-centered, and I appreciated the interaction with them because it made me less anxious about eye surgery. I am more than pleased with the results of my first surgery to remove cataracts and looking forward to the next. Still cant believe that surgical procedures on the eye did not cause any pain - no swelling - no redness - no discomfort. I highly recommend Dr. Boliek and his team -

I lost my phone while there, and didnt realize it until it was time for me to go home. I went looking for it. Asked a lady at one of the desks. She told me where to check.. I Went there. And they had found it. And gave it to me!

$120 fee for a contact fitting is really high, and to be 3x the soft lens exam doesn’t make sense to me given the similarity of the process. I also waited for 30 minutes without contacts in for the doctor which was not necessary - to take them out takes less than a minute and could have been done when she was available. Finally, the doctor noted my family history at the end of the appointment and did no related checks - pressure test or other - as she was ready to move on. I believe this visit was both more expensive and of less quality in care than other offices, a disappointing combination. I look forward to finding more attentive care elsewhere.

Whats not to like . Dr Wrzosek is the best, knows your name and gives you the best of care.the staff from the receptionist, his assistance care workers, especially the one that took care of me awesome. Very clean and they sanitize after everyone leaves the lobby area. I recommend, Im sorry I highly recommend Raleigh Eye Center. Theres an office in North Raleigh, Blue Ridge Road and Durham. I had my first visit yesterday, and I was very satisfied. Nikita at the front desk was very friendly, helpful and efficient. Danielle was also very friendly and nice. I feel like Dr. Couch did a thorough exam. Im very happy that I changed to this practice.

I cant say enough about Dr. Couch, Danyelle, and Amy G. at the Raleigh Eye Center. They made my visit painless. They have such good and friendly personalities, that it feels like youre talking with family. Dr. Couch spent time with my going over the color images of both of my eyes, pointing out what she is looking for and explaining what isnt normal. Her patience and attention to detail is unmatched. I look forward to my next visit.

My visit to Raleigh Eye Center was everything you would expect from a doctors office. Dr. Vin and scribe was so professional, and knowledgeable while also listening to what I had to say, and showing that she cared about the health of my eyes. Anyone that gets her as their doctor will receive excellent care. Also I was about 15 min late to the appointment and was told I would have to be worked in, 5 mins later I was being called to the back, awesome.

Even though you terminated the employment of my daughter-in-law several years ago, I am still a patient there but only because of Dr. Hunt and his expertise. I highly recommend him and his staff.

Thank goodness!! I was so pleasantly surprised at how kind, thorough and professional the staff at Raleigh Eye Center was. My son saw Dr Board. He was so scared he was crying before the doctor came in. Dr Board immediately engaged my 9 year old son, answering HIS questions, letting him touch things, then telling him exactly what he was about to do next, followed by “how was that? Or are you ok?” He immediately calmed my sons fears. And gave him a thorough exam too. The front desk staff and the nurses and assistants were flawless. So kind and efficient. Had a metal fragment embedded in my cornea. By phone my Primary Care Physicians office told me to call REC. Was able to get in same day to address it and I have never been there before. They double booked me but had me taken care of right away. Dr Lin and support staff was amazing. I was there for a total of 35/40 minutes including doing new patient paperwork. My visit took 90 minutes. Way too long. And the parking was terrible. Someone should let DukeRaleigh Hospital know that parking is essential to return business.

I was a little concerned before going into the office because I had never seen Dr Hunt before. I was pleasantly surprised! The young lady took me to all the areas to have eyes check and it was a calming experience and she was kind and professional. The office was very clean and they made me feel safe there with the masks and hand sanitizer sitting around. Dr Hunt was awesome as well. Very professional and friendly as well. Set my surgery appt and explained everything to me and that was it! Great place and would advise folks to go there when needing an Ophthalmologist!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Holly Johnson at The Raleigh Eye Center for at least a decade. She is an excellent doctor and has provided me with outstanding care, including two cataract surgeries with great results. The precautions in the office for COVID-19 are very good and make for an even better experience than the previousoffice environment. I highly recommend Dr. Johnson and her personable and professional staff to other potential patients.

After a freak accident, I was desperate to see someone for my eye. I found Raleigh Eye Center through my insurance plan, and they had very good reviews. I called and explained my situation to Ashley, who was wonderful. She got me in, and I saw Dr. Hunt. who spent a lot of time with me. I was very impressed with everyone in this office.

My recent annual eye exam was a pleasant visit, as usual. Nikita was professional, friendly and prompt when she checked me into the appointment. All staff wore a mask, and I received a temperature check.I had the option to get my eyes dilated or use the optos imaging, which required a small out of pocket fee. I will never again select dilation and deal with eye burning and post blurry vision.Dr. Couch is the best O.D. in the area! She explains your exam results in general terms and cares about your overall health.

Raleigh Eye Center are all professionals, and beautiful women!

I arrived early as was requested, and was taken in for routine examination on time. I was surprised that there were fewer separate procedures than previously, but I was in and out, including seeing the doctor in no time.

My kids and I had an awesome experience. We were helped by Nikita who was very nice and knowledgeable. She went above and beyond to help us. This was my kids first time getting their eyes checked and I would definitely recommend this eye facility.

When I called the Raleigh Eye Center as a new patient with a problem, Ashley did her best to get me seen in a very timely manner. On the morning of my appointment, I was brought into an exam room by Tineta who took a comprehensive history and prepared me for Dr Hunt. Dr Hunt listened as I explained the problem, performed an in depth exam and explained the situation and how best to address it. Everyone at the Eye Center provided a great level of care.

Dr Boliek is excellent. He’s very friendly and professional and easy to talk to. His staff is also great. Also everyone is very cautious in regards to Covid19. I felt very safe.

Their customer service was just outstanding and my eye doctor , very friendly and caring about my eyes. He answered all my questions. Now, I have peace of mind that my eyes are just fine. Thank you so much for your help!

My daughter has been going to the center for the last 13 years seeing Dr Board. He canceled the appointment last minute and a different doctor was referred by the office. We decided to try. Turned out that Dr Johnson wasn’t able to evaluate my daughter’s eye condition and simply told us she doesn’t know of it’s status because “she is not a specialist”. I felt like I wasted my time and my yearly exam visit and am still wondering why we were advised to see someone who is not suitable for my daughter’s eye condition? Very frustrating.
