To be honest I just moved to Orlando a couple months ago and needed to find a barber shop that is all around good. Im very picky about my cut. And every barber needs to be able to do the same quality if work which is not always the case. So all that to say I love this barber shop! I have come Im 2 seperate occasions and had 2 different barbers and both did awesome cuts. So I would recommend to anyone in the area to come in and get a fresh fade. My son and I were in from out of town and stopped in for a cut. What a FANTASTIC shop and convenient location. We were greeted immediately and sat within seconds. Top-notch professional barbers that take great pride in their skill. I’ve seen Lenny mentioned more than a few times in other reviews. I had him and one of the only barbers I’ve ever had that shook my hand before and after - a true professional! Great cut and experience overall, just wished we had a Melo’s at home! Coming from up North, a barbershop has to have certain qualities that make you feel at home, Melo’s has never disappointed. Good atmosphere, great music, and after going for almost 3 years since moving here I have never seen a lack of professionalism or friendliness here. I have been going to Melos since I moved here in May, and go back every two weeks. My haircut has been perfect every time and I am a very picky person when it comes to my hair. Nebal and Melo know exactly what they are doing. I explain what I want, and they make it happen. If you either live in the local area, or are just visiting and need a place to get a fresh cut; I would HIGHLY recommend going to see any barber here. You get exactly what you pay for and it comes out excellent every time. Keep up the great work gentleman!

My husband book an appointment with Lenny do to the great reviews he saw, it certainly didn’t disappoint. The best service he has had, the attention to detail, the hot towel shave is one of a kind service that made his experience above and beyond. The place is nice and clean, but what will make him return is the professionalism and the quality of service provided by Lenny, the BEST BARBER, highly recommended.

Melo’s Barbershop is absolutely THE BEST! I have been going here for a couple of years now, and they never disappoint. Every single person in the barbershop has always been so welcoming and kind, and they are always super kind to new people just coming in. Everything from the first step in the door to the last step out is amazing and I couldn’t recommend this location more! My personal barber is Juan Carlos, and EVERY SINGLE TIME, he is the ABSOLUTE BEST! He takes his time, focuses on the little details, and perfects any type of cut you ask for. Even though I go to Juan Carlos, I’ve seen that same exact professionalism from every barber in the shop. They truly are amazing in every way!

My son went in for a haircut and the staff was fantastic. However, the lady at the front desk asked my son if he was leaving a cash tip and he said no he didn’t have enough cash on hand to leave a cash tip. He left a 25% tip on the credit card. She then told him next time to bring a cash tip. Just wow!

Walked in, was greeted by the owner and immediately seated for the next available slot. My barber took 3 seconds to look at the picture of a hair cut I wanted and was off to the races. They did an amazing job and where very attentive to detail. I would absolutely recommend this shop 11/10 times across the board.

First time walk in. They saw me fast and the barber took very good care of me. Almost feel asleep because it was that good as he shaped me up and used the hot towel on my face. 5/5

Fantastic barber shop. Melo greeted me as soon as I walked in and Lenny took me a couple minutes early for my appointment. Lenny’s work exceeded my expectations. There were no up charges for little guy things like eyebrows, ears, sideburns and neck clean ups that I have experienced at other barber shops. Definitely one of my best haircuts in my 50- something years.

I scheduled a haircut with Melo for first time and was not disappointed. This place is very professional, family oriented and Melo is a class act. He has a very good sense of humor and his fades are on point! Well definitely visit again in the future.

Ive been here a few times.. the first couple were okay, I had to come back home and do some fixing myself afterwards... but the last time my appointment was with Nabal and he did a great job. Satisfied with my experience overall. Will be back for my next haircut.

Melos Barbershop is the premier barbershop in Orlando. Melo is a master of his craft. I have been getting my haircut from Melo for the past 2 years, and he has never disappointed. In fact, I no longer work or live in the area, yet I still make the 50 minute drive on i4 to go get my haircut from him. Very responsible with timing, and very consistent with the quality of his work.

Lenny was great! Very affordable and did exactly what I asked. Very Spanish friendly which Is cool!

Went in for the first time today. And the first thing that happened were two employees arguing with each other over a person that came back because their beard was not trimmed properly. Let that go and saw the people leaving before me and their hair looked great. Then it was my turn. During my haircut another person walked in complaining that his sideburns were not cut evenly by the guy that was cutting my hair. After the hair cut I thought it looked good from the distance I was at in the chair, but when I got home I noticed the back had a straight line across and wasn’t faded. So I went back to get this fixed and thankfully it was fixed. Then again returned home and upon further inspection I noticed I have a patch of hair missing on the right side of my head now. I had high hopes, but am thoroughly disappointed. Went back to get things fixed just to come back with a new problem.

This is the best barbershop in the area. Jeremiah is a class act and one of the best barbers I’ve ever been to. Highly recommended.

Melos is near my office and I wanted to find a barber I could build a relationship with. Since I didnt yet know anyone here I did not select a preferred barber. I can only assume Jose was their bottom of the barrel. The haircut was okay. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he did something that was remotely similar, though not what Id hoped for. The shave was painful, inconsistent, and left me with a rash and bleeding. Where I went before gave me straight blade shaves so I am not brand new to them, but this is by far the worst I have ever experienced.I know they just reopened and I dont want to hurt small businesses, but I couldnt find an email address or any other way to share my experience. I hope there is some explanation for this other than that they just have really bad barbers along with the good ones who created the experience most of the other reviewers posted.I will definitely never be back. Hopefully Ill heal up in a couple of days.

Had a great time with Jeremy. Wife signed me up for the everything. Jeremy went all out, super cool. Im not used to a barbershop like this; with class and talent. Im used to Aveda and Supercuts. Wife talked to Jeremy, didnt use clipper numbers or fade degrees or anything; he just knew. He could see the cowlicks in my hair before I mentioned them, and he did an amazing job on the haircut. I literally gave him no directions, she showed him a picture, end result is I looked amazing.After that was a face massage and a straight razor shave. Pro tip, Melo, if youre listening. When someones doing a straight razor shave for the first time, dont switch to Christmas music right when the blade touches skin. It was November, I wasnt ready for that. Obviously, Jeremy is very blade-conscientious. Amazing shave.Now, the reason for me giving 4 stars instead of five or more is the later visits. (Not with Jeremy) I dont remember the second guys name, but I was just there for a haircut. It was fine, he was proficient, everyone left happy.The third time, I got some guy that I can only assume Melo is helping out. I showed up, and he had to be enticed off his phone and the couch. From there, it was a rough interrogation. First answer shouldnt have to be a haircut. Second, its not my job to know settings, clipper numbers, et al. Its only been a few weeks; just do what I have, but shorter. Asking me so many questions when Ive been coming to your company for the last two haircuts since November really made me nervous, and it was the haircut I was happiest to just get out of the chair for.I guess the TL;DR is Jeremy is awesome, and definitely request him. Ive never looked better and seen my wife so happy after a haircut.

I called up to set an appointment and whom ever answered the phone was rude from the start. I would not give them any money just cause of the person on the phone.

If you want a typical, run of the mill haircut, this is likely the place for you. I provided the barber with a picture of how my hair was cut immediately after my last haircut and after a brief glance, the barber shrugged it off and disingenuously assured me that he could complete a similar look. Based on my rating you can probably tell that my hair turned out less than satisfactory. If the barber would have been honest and admitted a lack of competence with performing the same haircut, I would have gladly waited for another or gotten my hair cut elsewhere. I also had to go to a different barber to fix my beard as this barber left it choppy and poorly lined.Secondly, the barber was consistently wiping hair off of the equipment before ever touching my hair with it. Being that I was the first customer of the day, I dont know where the hair could have come from other than from not being cleaned the day prior.Overall the experience was less than pleasurable and certainly not worth the price, especially considering the plethora of available barbers in the area that can easily be booked on the app Booksy.

So unfortunately I was a no show for an appointment at this place twice. The first time the appointment auto booked me and I ignored it. The second time was on me, I got incredibly busy at work blah blah blah, and couldnt make it. I recieved a stern message from someone I can only assume runs the business, that I felt was a little uncalled for. Dont think Ill be getting a fade here anytime soon, or ever again.

In town for a week and inquired with my AMEX concierge for a hair cut and beard trim in the area. They sent 4 recommenced places and after reviewing google reviews I picked this one. I am ecstatic with the outcome.Probably the cleanest haircut and beard trim I’ve ever had. I had the beard colored too which they didn’t normally do, as I washed it out at the hotel, but no cause for concern as he walked me through the process before I left. The straight blade and scissors fade and style of my hair and beard is the best I’ve ever had. I wanted to be cleaned up and am very pleased. I wish there was a shop like this back home. Everyone was nice and the owner was very welcoming. Excellent choice of music. Every chair was full when I arrived so I was happy that I made an appointment.I’m always worried about getting my hair cut while out of town but this place is incredible. Not only was the guy who cut my hair, Lorenzo, absolutely professional at what he does, everyone else cutting looked like they were on point, so you won’t have to worry about being stuck with a “bad barber” if you’re visiting from out of town. This is a pretty cool and rustic barbershop. I have been going there for about a year and a half and have loved the attention to detail that Jose puts into his work! He’s always cheerful and adds a lot of energy and creativity to his surroundings!

Don’t go here. They are racist against white people who don’t speak Spanish and are Dominican. They purposely overcharged me for my son’s hair cut but lowered the price after I caught them. They even charged me for edging my sons hair after leaving long chunks of hair and not cutting it evenly. I had to send my son back 3 times for them to get his hair cut right and even. We didn’t tip and before we left we got reprimanded for it. What an awful experience we won’t be back. My son is 9 and ended up crying because of it. We don’t recommend this place for white people.

Great place! Great atmosphere! The talent here is never lacking. The communication is outstanding, and they make you feel right at home, even with the simplest haircut. Ive never had a bad cut or shave coming here, and its a pleasure to come back here every time to get cleaned up. Marisol took great care of me! The atmosphere was laid back and everybody was very welcoming. The shop was super clean and I enjoyed watching all the barbers/stylists working with the clients to get the perfect cut/style for each person. FYI though men may be featured in most of their photos, Melo’s can assist ANYONE in achieving a fantastic look! I was happy to see color, facial waxing, and styling services can be booked as well! It can get super busy so I would recommend making an appointment. I love the fact that I can make an appointment through Instagram...how convenient! I went looking for a specific haircut style and I arrive to this barbershop and I seat I think it was in the third chair with this guy, his very fast, he dedicate to cut my hair with detail without getting distract. He made exactly what I told him to do. Excellent environment and I found my new barbershop and new barber, recommend 100% for everyone.

I am in town for a business trip. I wasn’t able to get into my barbershop before I left. I was scrambling for a haircut and beard trim. I call melo’s and they got me in. As soon as I walked in, I was able to get into gerrys chair right away. He was amazing. Really a great experience. Decent price for a great cut. Went from rough and rugged to cleaned up in no time.

I have been coming to this shop for almost a year. I used to have a solid barber named Geo. He and the owner Melo decided to part ways a few months back so I didn’t want to switch shops due to how close it is to my house. I switched to Melo himself. I’ve never once had an appointment start when scheduled. I can only think that is because he likes to hear himself talk more than actually cut people’s hair. They have lost my business going forward. If you are actually wanting to stick to a schedule don’t get your hair cut here. Decent hair cuts no clue how to operate a business.

Great haircut! Im really picky about who cuts my hair and getting fades even more so because not everyone can give a good fade. Walked in and felt completely comfortable with Rob taking of my hair. Left with a great cut, feel like a million bucks and ready for the weekend. The shop is really nice, good atmosphere and staff as well. I came into town and was looking for a haircut. I got there right before they closed and they still fit me in even though it caused them to stay later, not to mention the cut was top notch. I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality haircut in a welcoming environment.

You will get excellent service with attention to detail; but that also means theyll take as long as needed. If you dont have a reservation - and possibly even if you do - bring a book and be prepared to be a while. This isnt Supercuts.

I am very seriously dissatisfiedI am a regular customer, but I will not recommend this place to anyone else. Because the last couple of times the Berbers did their job very rudely, not hiding anger and discontent with the client. I feel very pain on my head.

Great quality haircut. Upscale business. I was passing through heading for a cruise in Port Canaveral and needed a cut. They were able to get me in without any issues. All I can say, my barber and I our going to have a long talk when I get back to Oklahoma. Lol. Amazing. Thanks again!!

I caught the man himself on a break. He immediately greeted me and put away his meal. I offered to wait as I was in no hurry, but he was having none of it. He sat me down in his chair, got to know me, and proceeded to give me the cleanest cut and shave of my life! He was fast, delicate and exhibited a great attention to detail. My wife was very pleased with the results. The only regret I have is that I am only visiting and fly back home tomorrow.Great Job Melo! Truly world class!

So a not so great experience today...Keeping in mind Im a fairly easy going guy...I decided to stop in and get my hair cut as my regular guy is on vacation and Im leaving for mine on Sunday and really needed a good clean up. After having to wait at the door while a few guys were chatting and vaping right in front of the door...They were quite cordial and parted when I did get noticed.I was asked if I had an appointment and answered No but still was taken right into a chair...I was impressed with the tone of the shop and the decor was all professional. Turning point...The gentleman that was to cut my hair, or so I thought was chatting up two other guys about product. The next thing I see, .he is on the sidewalk looking at samples...While I was left to wait. Im sorry but that level of customer service is not five star by any means...It may be a great shop...But I wasnt treated as a valued customer.BTW...Im a concierge in one of International Drives convention hotels where I am quite often asked to recommend such services...So...there is that...

He has a specific way he likes his hair cut, and he always makes sure to convey that to the barber. Juan Carlos is possible one of 10+ barbers he’s visited in the Central Florida region he’s visited that actually1) Listens to his client2) Takes his time3) Is meticulous and courteous.The rest of the staff are also very friendly and kind. I come here regularly and Im always happy with my haircut. I usually ask for Melo, but all of the barbers who work there are great. Their attention to detail makes the place really stand out. If youre from NYC and want a good New York style haircut, this is the place to go.

Visited the barbershop from Georgia. Called and talk to the owner for an appointment. He told me to come in, no appointment needed. Barbershop was very nice and clean with a uptempo vibe. Melo was a cool guy. I would definitely recommend this barbershop to visitors needing his service.

Im from NYC and hate barbershops. They are loud and dirty, and sometimes I wait forever for a cut. This place was clean, professional, and laid back. I got my hair cut by Mike (second chair from the door) and it was great. Really nice guy too. I recommend this place highly.
