They are very familiar with your medications and will alert you if they think you should double check with your doctor. They have cool soaps and lotions as well.All the staff including the young men who deliver are friendly, funny and helpful. Avoid the big chains and shop here, its a dying breed and needs our support!

They call you with questions BEFORE running things that may need additional authorization. They keep all your information and deliver for free. I cant say enough good things about them. Neighborhood ANSONIA has been my pharmacy for almost 30 years. When Rx co-pays rose and it became apparent that trickle-down economy would never trickled down enough, I switched to Duane-Reade thinking they might pass along some discounts. Well, in some cases they did... but twice, 2 times, they sent me the wrong medication! Not only is that reckless and dangerous, but following my diatribe and getting the correct medication, their territory manager gave me back my co-pays... isnt that some kind of insurance fraud? Of course, I switched right back to Ansonia. Despite Ansonias changes over the years, different owners and pharmacists and staff, even their square foot shrinkage with their one-block move,the spirit of Ansonia has endured. They are courteous, conscientious, dependable and helpful. They know me by name. Whenever possible, they go out of their way to help. I trust them implicitly. So, down with the big corporation mega-stores like Duane- Reade/Walgreens! And HOORAY for ANSONIA, my neighborhood pharmacy, May you live long and prosper!
