Searched high and wide for a pain treatment doctor who can help me with my spine pain after surgery from a horse back riding injury and dr Hanna was the only one who was able to subdue the affliction. Personable and friendly, I would recommend him to anyone looking for a high quality medical professional. Amazing!

I went to see Dr. Volney in serious pain. I was anxious and stressed and worried that my left arm would become disabled. The doctor and his team (special mention to Kelsey who is a perfect compliment to Dr. Volney) were really kind to me. They cared about my circumstances. They listened to the effect of the car accident on my quality of life. They examined all of my scans and seemed to fully appreciate how the injuries and pain ruined my quality of life. After the initial pain treatment I recovered mobility in my left arm and I could turn my head left without pain. If you want pain Management this is the place to go. Ivy league education. Humane and effective treatment. Patient centered treatment as opposed to billing focused treatment. They are great here.

I began visiting Dr. Shane Volney’s office about six months ago due to a very bad case of low back pain but, before continuing writing this review, a sort of a confession is in order here. The truth is that I tend to rely on alternative therapies (mostly acupuncture) and yoga when it comes to dealing with muscle spasms and lumbar pain generally. Therefore, I was somehow apprehensive when I first visited Dr. Volney’s practice and, fortunately, I was proven wrong! From the moment I met Dr. Volney, I was impressed by his professional skills and holistic approach to medicine generally and pain treatment/management particularly. Not only did he begin my treatment with a careful diagnosis and non-invasive procedures but also suggested other alternative practitioners (i.e., chiropractors) for me to try as well. I have seen Dr. Volney for at least three times since that first visit and every time I have been awestruck by how much he knows about medicine, and pain issues particularly, and how much he cares about his patients. My pain has receded as a result of his treatments and I feel like (finally!) going back to a pain-free life.I also want to highlight Dr. Volney’s terrific bedside manners, his professionalism and genuine interest for me, as well as his other patients. After each visit, he follows up with each of his patients by sending them personalized text messages. In sum, I feel tremendously fortunate to count on someone with his extraordinary professional talenst and medical expertise as well as his caring human approach to medicine.On a final note, I want to mention all the amazing personnel that work dat Dr. Volney’s clinic, and Kelsey McEvoy in particular. I went to see Dr. Volney on the recommendation of my chiropractor. I have been suffering from back problems including a herniated disc and stenosis.Dr. Volney is incredibly easy to talk to and generous with his time. We decided on an epidural injection - it has been difficult for me to walk even a few blocks without the pain in my leg forcing me to stop. I was a little skeptical - I had two injections in the past with little result. Well, less than a week after my injection this time my pain has decreased dramatically. I was able to walk a mile with little or no discomfort!In addition, Dr. Volney is terrific at following up with a text or phone call and is always available. In fact his entire office staff especially his assistant Celene is incredibly compassionate and easy to deal with. I recommend him without any hesitation to anyone in pain looking for help.

Dr. Volney is incredible! I recently received Botox from him and I am SO pleased! The office staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the appointment process and check in process was seamless. Dr. Volney spent plenty of time with me to find out what my desired outcome from Botox would be, took time to take photos before, and during the procedure communicated every step he was taking. He also followed up after the evening of my appointment to check on me. Dr. Volneys knowledge of the body and muscles was evident because my look is natural and not overdone. Thank you so much! The wait time here is perfect, I dont wait long to see the doc. I really like the privacy of the office, appointments are one on one and I feel as though they are listening to me. I dont think I can thank the doctors and staff enough at the Vein Clinic & Pain treatment center in NYC. The service, attentiveness and professionalism of everyone in the office was beyond my expectations. I was treated for knee pain by Dr. Hanna. I have been a runner my whole life up until a few months ago when I discovered that I developed Iliotibial Band Syndrome in my right knee, which not only hindered my ability to run, but my walking too . I had an amazing experience with Dr. Hanna. I have a herniated disk that was causing me an excruciating amount of pain, when I got to Dr. Hanna’s office I could barely walk. I suffer from TOS and until I met Dr. Hanna, I was in so much pain and had limited function in my hand and arm. I recently received a trammel injection on my left shoulder after having a sports related injury a few years ago, and it worked wonders!!! Before I received this injection, I received numerous cortisone injections, had surgery, and months of physical therapy; none of which seemed to work. I gave up on fixing my shoulder for a while until the pain got worse, thats when I met Dr. Hanna. I was skeptical about getting the injection at first because nothing seemed to work for me in the past. I figured I might as well give it a shot and it surprisingly worked. Getting the injection was completely painless and took less than 10 minutes. After 2-3 weeks of taking it easy and doing stretches at home, I can honestly say my shoulder is in good health and I can workout/play sports without worrying about it. I highly suggest working with Dr. Hanna and his team if youre feeling any sort of shoulder pain.

Dr. Hanna has facilitated approximately a 90% reduction in my ankle, calf and back pain even though I still have two additional treatments to complete.I was treated by another pain management physician approximately one year and three months prior to seeing Dr. Hanna And none of the three treatments provided more than 10 days of relief of the pain that I have been experiencing for the past 2 1/2 years.Despite the fact that I was only able to have two treatments prior to a very vigorous trip to London and Israel for 18 days, I was able to complete this trip with minimal discomfort. My surgical right knee was giving me pain, stiffness and swelling thattook days and sometimes a week to recover. I went to an OrthopedicSurgeon who took an x-ray and informed me that I have osteoarthritisin the knee and suggested knee replacement surgery down the line. By my 2nd injection, the pain andstiffness I usually felt when I woke up in the morning was gone .During this treatment, I rode my bike more and perform more legexercises at the gym with no pain. Walking up and down five flight ofstair over the last three weeks has been painless. I am looking forwardto receiving my 4th injection and enjoying my new KNEE . No painwhen it rains. I am terrified of needles and Dr. Hanna is a pro atmaking you feel relaxed and performing the injections. Before you canstiffen up, he is finished. Ive met with all of the Doctors. Each of the Doctors gave me plenty of time to go over my case, I am never rushed in/out. They were able to relieve my chronic back & neck pain that many other Doctors Ive seen in the past could not. The entire staff from the front to the back are extremely helpful and caring. My pleasant experience with the pain Treatment Specialist , was January 21 , @ 9:30 a.m. I was greeted by a very nicely spoken young lady that welcomed me to the clinic for the first time. The environment is clean , with comfortable furniture to sit on in the waiting area.The initial intake process , was explained , and made me feel comfortable to share as much of my medical condition as possible. I was furnished with valuable advice , concerning my Chronic Pain .Dr. Shane Volney MD. , was very Pleasant , and he proceeded with a gentle exam to determine where the Primary difficulties Im experiencing. Dr. Shane MD. was very thorough with questions , and explaining what options that would be available for me. Dr. Shane MD. also gave me a referrals to assist me with my long term goal to be Pain Free .This pleasant Experience with the medical staff , and Dr. Shane MD. , motivates me so much more with my goal to be able to walk a mile again the way I used to. Also for weight loss.I feel that I was in the right place today. I appreciate Staff returning my initial call seeking their assistance with my Chronic back pain , and (L) leg weakness . From th first moment I stepped off th elevator into th modern offices I began to relax. Th desk staff were welcoming, attentive. I never wait long, before a bright, smiling medical assistant escorts me to a modern well equipped examining room. Th interiors seem to have been designed using simple green environmentally safe materials, make for a calming sense of health n well-being, the staff, friendly, but professional. My doctors for Pain (Dr Hannah) and for Vein care, (Dr. Montoya), are both of them, personable, and well versed in their disciplines with a respectful, reassuring efficiency. I get thorough exams, questioned n informed of what is happening, n empathy without being patronized; they discuss w me n consider my particular history. Procedures were quick n effective: No Nacotics used in this practice. Dr Hannah diagnosed my areas of pain, ordered tests, reviewed MRIs n Xrays w me, suggested a course of care that quickly improved my pain. Dr Montoya gave th same w my vein issues, thorough exam by sonogram, diagnosis, procedures executed w skill n care, pain rlieved. Recommend VIP*

The entire staff is excellent. Ive worked with Dr Nguyen, Dr. Chen and Dr. Khimani and they were a pleasure to work with. I have great relief and still have great relief. The visits are quick. Location is easy to find. I will highly recommend.

I suffer from painful back spasms. Dr. Volney treated me with a trigger point injection. The pain was gone after a day or two. I recommend him to anyone who has muscle pain.

I have been in chronic pain for the last 2 years, I have seen other doctors and have multiple imaging, tests and medications to resolve my issue to no avail, until going to Dr Hanna. Dr Hanna looked over my test results and knew right away where my pain was coming from. He discussed a course treatment and it worked!
