Its going to be difficult to put into words the way I feel about my wonderful experience at the HHS . I am beyond thankful and blessed that Dr. Trehan and his awesome team provided me with the most professional and compassionate care imagenable . I am in awe with Dr. Trehan and his entire team . Everybody is caring and friendly . Geralyn coulndt have been more helpful in getting me ready for an operation the day after my consultation with Dr. Trehan . It was magical how quickly she helped me to be cleared for surgery . Due to a bad fall I had several fructures and a fragmented elbow which called for a skilled surgeon . Well - i got really lucky with Dr. Trehan ! Usually I see at least two Doctors to make sure I will be in good hands. it was not necessary - the moment I met Dr. Trehan i felt at peace and reassured that he has the skills to fix my messed up elbow . His charisma , kindness , professionalism and down to earth attitude makes it fun to meet him for my follow up visits . The operation was successful and I am happy to have my range of motion back after several month of physical therapy . My scar is not noticeable unless i make an effort to see it . Hopefully it will heal as beautifully after Dr. Trehan removes the screws and plates in approximately one month . I feel truly fortunate that I am Dr. Trehans patient and I highly recommend him and his amazing team .

I had fractured my scaphoid early in the summer after a fall, but ignored it for two weeks before finally seeking medical attention. Dr Trehan was my first call, having found him through the HSS website. The attention and care Ive received from Dr Trehan and his team over the last few weeks has been nothing short of exceptional. Within two days I had a thorough consultation. By the end, Dr Trehan and I agreed that due to the nature of my fracture surgery was necessary for a successful path to recovery. HSS has an awesome infrastructure in place that makes the preparation for surgery seamless, expeditious, and pain-free. The surgery went incredibly smooth. Although a larger incision was required the scar is barely visible. Im now 12 weeks into my recovery, and Im almost back to normal. Dr Trehan is probably one of the best surgeons Ive met, and an excellent hand specialist. You will be so thankful youve sought him out as many other reviews here can attest. Dr. Trehan was recommended to me by a HSS employee, and I am so happy for that recommendation. My left wrist fracture occurred during COVID-19. I live in Queens, NYC, so my emergency care was given at a local hospital, but the following day I got in touch with Dr. Trehan’s Office. Geralyn helped coordinate my visit and then once surgery was decided upon, she diligently scheduled all my pre-op testing. I was operated on the following day. Dr. Trehan took the time to explain the procedure, recovery period and rehabilitation. His calm and professional manner were extremely reassuring and his skill as a surgeon, excellent! I have since made a full recovery and have excellent use of my left hand and wrist. My son broke his knuckle in December and we were referred to Dr. Trehan. He is amazing! He is great with kids and adults. He explains things in easy to understand terminology, and is extremely knowledgeable about all things in the hand and arm. I would not hesitate to recommend him. In November 2020, I had a freak accident that resulted in a tendon tear and an unusual complication that left me with severely limited mobility in one of my fingers. After getting initial treatment at urgent care and letting the initial scaring heal, I was referred to Dr. Trehan who assessed the situation and assured me that there was no reason I couldnt regain full mobility. I was certainly skeptical, but Dr. Trehan was incredible throughout the entire process. He didnt jump to any conclusions or recommend any procedures until hed fully analyzed the situation and reviewed extensive imaging. Once we had a plan in place, we walked through every step of the process to make sure I understood what would happen, the risks and that I was comfortable. The surgery itself was a great experience. Every member of the staff at HSS was truly wonderful. After the surgery, I began physical therapy, and although the physical problem had been corrected, scar tissue and swelling still restricted my mobility. As such, I remained somewhat skeptical about my recovery, but Dr. Trehan reassured me and encouraged me. Over the course of a number of weeks of physical therapy my condition improved significantly. Dr. Trehan continued to see me regularly and evaluate my progress. I eventually stopped physical therapy when I had come close to regaining full mobility. About two months after that, to my surprise and delight, I reached a 100% recovery in all respects. The finger is now functioning perfectly and an injury that had fully consumed my mind for months is finally an afterthought. I highly recommend Dr. Trehan and his colleagues.

My experience with Dr. Trehan began with the initial evaluation. He was forthright expaining the medical reality of no improvement in my condition without surgery and I believed him because he seemed sincere and accurate. Surgery itself was just under local anesthesia but he assured me that I would feel pressure and not pain and talked the whole way through so it was uncomfortable with pressure but no pain. Post -op he prepared me for pain the first day which was true and then no further pain. I highly recommend him for his surgical and communication skills

Dr. Trehan is exceptional! My teenage son broke his finger on Sunday and was in surgery by Tuesday. Dr. Trehan worked with our tight schedule and everything went seamlessly. After having been in a good deal of pain with SLAC wrist for 3 years I finally began the search for a solution. I had several consultations before finding HSS and Dr.Trehan. Alas, I was presented with multiple options and given the opportunity and the time to address all of my concerns.My experience at HSS was seamless start to finish. The surgical procedure (proximal row carpectomy) went very well. After 4 months I am experiencing much less pain, I have greater flexability and grip strength and am able to resume activities that were put on hold for 3 years without the discomfort that would have put them to an immediate halt.Dr. Trehans surgical skills and knowledge of the upper extremities are exemplary. Dr. Trehan saved my finger from a severe infection, caused by a puntured cuticle from a manicure gone wrong. Not only is he an exceptional surgeon and doctor, but his upbeat and positive personality inspires both physical and mental recovery from the trauma of illness. Dr. Trehan is an exceptional surgeon. My hand was almost completely numb from a compressed ulnar nerve. Dr..Trehan had all necessary tests done and was then able to perform very successful ulnar nerve repositioning surgery on my elbow. He literally gave me back the use of my hand. His follow up care was exceptional. Not only is he a terrific surgeon but he is a top rate person who showed great concern for me during the entire healing process. As well, Dr.Trehan’s staff is excellent. Both Geralyn and Natalie are extremely professional and efficient and they seamlessly coordinated the entire surgery and follow up. I went to Dr. Trehan in 2018 to have a digital mucous cyst surgically removed from my right middle finger. I found him to be very caring, very nice, very knowledgeable, and an excellent surgeon. I had little to no pain as my finger recovered after the operation. And a year later, my finger has healed so perfectly that one would never know that it had been cut open!The whole experience was easy and practically painless from beginning to end.I absolutely highly recommend Dr. Trehan.
