Loooove the salon experience. Went in here and got my hair done by Spice, she is excellent! My sister and my mother got their hair done by Aztec and he is great as well! Both very nice and super professional.

Aztec can do everything beautiful and professionally. Haircuts for men and women, highlights, body waves, single color and fantasy colors!

Its a bit of a hit and miss. I used to like Brooklyn and received amazing service from Pearl in 2020, but both dont seem to work there anymore. Then I had two poor services from Spice, once when she was at the other branch and then more recently.

Followed Aztec to this location. 100% Covid compliant and he’s just amazing!

Honestly, 72nd st. is best Dramatics location in New York and Brite is AMAZING. I’m a hair model so I’m very careful with who handles/cuts my hair, and every time I’ve been to her I walk out over the moon with the results. Boyfriend made appointment to the wrong location by accident. They were kind and accommodating to him and got us in and out at the same time. COVID-19 precautions are in effect, temp checks at the door and the space is super clean. highly recommend!

Pearl is amazing! She spends time making sure your color is exactly what you want, offers suggestions and gives a fantastic haircut and blow out. I also love the products she suggests and have been using them at home. She has texted me several times to follow up and make sure I am happy with everything. Super high quality and I would highly recommend her!

I love this salon! Growing up in this concrete jungle has been rough! My old mom and pop salon sadly closed due to the construction boom. Finding a new stylist has been a struggle. I finally have given into getting a hair cut by a professional. I DO NOT REGRET IT! I walked in and quickly they set me up and they worked with me knowing that I was on a time crunch! Pearl was amazing I asked her to keep my length in hair and has given me tips on how to grow my hair healthier which products to avoid and which work best for my colored treated curly hair. I cant wait to come back for my hair treatment in 5 weeks!

I came in as a walk-in and now Im never going anywhere else, i had a pleasure of working with Diamond, she is a true artist and pays attention to every detail! I had the very best haircut and color experience with her! Thank you Diamond for making me feel fresh and gorgeous! Nice environment and reasonable prices. I went in for a cut after reading the great reviews and seeing how affordable their cuts are. I LOVE the cut I was given however Im not so thrilled with the styling they did once my hair was cut...but thats super easy to fix myself. All in all its a great place for a quick wash, cut, and blow dry if your looking for something easy and affordable. BE AWARE THAT TIPS ARE ONLY TAKEN IN CASH (I had to leave and run to an ATM and then return to tip my stylist).

While the beautician was nice and pleasant, however, when I went to pay I noticed that was overcharged by $20 for the hair coloring. Once I pointed it out the charge was removed. After my first wash my hair color was orange, and dry like straw. It seems that he burned my hair. I know that they are very busy, which means that they must do something right, but I did not have a good experience.

Great experience! Walked in without an appointment, only had to wait a few minutes for a stylist, and got exactly the cut I wanted for under 30$! Seriously good price for this neighbourhood and the quality of service. Highly recommended!

I got my hair cut three weeks ago with Venus. She is amazing. Not only did she listen to me, she gave great suggestions without talking down to me. I love the atmosphere at the place, it is fun and kind of party like...with out the spilled drinks and cheesy pickup lines! But seriously, I cant express enough how great this place is. Venus was so amazing, I called three hours after getting my hair cut to schedule a color with her the next day!My hair still looks great! Thank you VENUS!!

A stylish cut angled back to front. Walked in looking pretty ragged. Car towed, suitcase inside, heading to a business appointment the next day and in the process of letting my hair grow out. Did I mention not young, not thin and in town from central PA? They saw me right away. Fashion (I think these names are stupid) took me in hand. It was a little like having a nurse. She spent a lot of time, thinned the back out a lot and gave me a sleek, polished bob. I felt like a million dollars walking out. $50 PLUS a $10 tip for Fashion.

If you need anything done to your hair go to this salon and see Brooklyn. He is just AWESOME. Great place great staff and great atmosphere.

El did a terrific job coloring my hair and putting in beautiful highlights. That and a perfect haircut made me feel and look great. I got so many compliments.

Do NOT get your haircut from Pearl!!!!!! I have been getting my haircut at dramatics for about 18 years now, for the most part they have been pretty solid in regards to offering good affordable haircuts from qualified professionals. Last week I had the horrifying experience of getting my hair cut from Pearl. I Will start by saying my hair is kind of hard to mess up. It’s hippy hair, long, fine and straight. I always ask for the same thing 1. Keep the length, maybe 1-2 inches off 2. Long layers 3. Part on the side 4. Bangs that fully cover my face.Well Pearl had other plans for me. After arguing with me before the haircut, I relunctently let her start cutting my hair. My end result, despite my questioning what she was doing, was - 1. She took about 4” off by the time she was done. 2. I have short layers that come above my ears 3. I can no longer part my hair on the side because it’s too short 4. My bangs come just below my eyes.I am mostly mad at myself for not getting up and walking out. I will know better next time. Pearl should not be cutting people’s hair. Period. I will most likely never go back to dramatics, at least not that one. Shame on dramatics for even hiring someone that is so under qualified as a hair stylist.

Went to Broadway for the first time yesterday on my friends recommendation. Couldnt have been more pleased. Haircut was spectacular; hes a lovely person; was in and out in an hour (a feat of efficiency and talent since my long, coarse, wavy hair was a chopped up mess) and the salon is spotless.Id give it an additional five stars.

Awful haircut: as in my top three of all time bad haircuts. Firstly I thought I simply didnt like the haircut, it was super short (the stylist had said he would leave length in it but then chopped off what was there) then I realized it was simply super poorly cut. I have boy- short hair (which cost, with tip, approximately $85 to destroy) and was left with a sloppy uneven cut and with what looks like patches that werent supposed to have been cut...its been almost a month during which Ive been waiting for my hair to grow sufficiently long to be fixed by usual stylist at another salon. My stylist was distracted, he spent time with me before finishing with his previous client and spent time with another client while finishing off my cut....hardly surprising then that the cut was so bad. Staff in general, while friendly, were unfocused and unprofessional. To add insult to injury, when ready to pay there was no one available to accept my payment.....I waited almost 10 minutes to pay (I was pressed for time and hence paid attention to how long I waited), how was there not someone else available to assist and/or at least attend their front desk. All round an EXCEPTIONALLY poor experience.

Iv been a client for over 14 years. Del has taken care of my sisters hair for years as well he is qn excellent hairdresser as well as colorist. Today I decided to go from black hair to blonde and Del with the help of his staff made it happen for me. They took there time with me making sure my hair didnt break off. I left feeling and looking like a brand new women. They works as a team and you can feel the warmth from everyone. Im a happy client.

I came in as a walk-in and had a not-so-wonderful experience. I asked for about one inch to be trimmed and for it to be angled from front to back - shorter in the front / longer in the back. Since they charge extra for blow drying, i left with my hair still damp and unable to see exactly what the cut looked like. In the week + thats followed, I realize that theres no transition between front and back. The front is shorter and the back is about one to two inches longer - no transition and no angle. I just called and spoke with the manager, Metro, who basically told me that this is what you get for $28, and that a $28 haircut is really meant for a mans haircut (?). He offered that, even though more than one week has passed, I could come back to have the same stylist take a look and see if she could fix it. I dont think so!

Worst experience ever. W72nd St location. Walked in for a blow out. Man at the desk was rude when I asked about availability as a walk in. Stylist then told me he was new and didnt understand how anything worked and didnt know how to price me. My hair is medium length in the front with grown out bangs with longer layers in the back. Hairstylist told me cost would be $40. Then the nasty guy behind the desk blurts out, no make it $45. My hair is not that long!Keep in mind that top notch places like Blo and Drybar are within a 1 block walk and also charge $45. These places give you a glass of champagne and cookies while you get your hair blown out. Why would anyone pay the same price for such an awful experience!! I politley told the stylist I would just skip the idea and thanked him and wished him good luck in his new position. When I got up to leave- guy behind the desk made a face at me. A nasty rude awful unprofessional childish face and didnt say good bye. Awful!!! There are a million hair salons on the UWS. SKIP THIS ONE!!!
