They took very good care of me, they were checking on me regularly and if I needed something they would come. I am very happy the ER doctor did not react just to cut and fix instead he advised better to see a specialist this made me feel like put my best interest first because even once I saw the specialist he said there was too much swelling to do surgery I needed to wait for it to come down. Nursing staff, doctors everyone was friendly and caring along the way.

Overall visit was not all that good, registration was great the residential nurse/doctor doesn’t not listen I had to repeat numerous of times, in which is annoying for someone with shortness of breath to do. Then he had to keep walking out to ask the head doctor on what to do, told me I was going to be treated for my asthma they never came in with the treatment after being there for five hour . I was so angry and walk out with out receiving any treatment for them. Normally this hospital is pretty good but the crew that was working on this day was terrible they was doing more personal conversations and laughing then taking care of there patients.

The experience for surgery, from registration to pre-op and recovery was EXCELLENT. But, if you have to stay overnight in the hospital you should expect to feel very neglected. They will tell you its because they are short staffed due to COVID but it seems more likely that they just do not care. I had to fight and even call my surgeons office just to get pain medication administered and this is after having to call the main hospital line to be transferred to my nurse station to request pain medication I was authorized to receive. The experience I had was beyond unacceptable, I am lucky I did not encounter any medical emergencies during my stay because I did not receive ANY monitoring and was lucky to sometimes get support after pushing the help button on my bed.

Hello, my husband died a month ago he had pulmonary fibrosis but developed COVID at this hospital we brought him to the ER we told them about his condition and that his oxygen levels have been dropping for a couple of days he was immediately admitted but of course because of the COVID regulation only my grandsons was able to go in with him. They told my grandson that he was going to be monitored for a couple of days to see if his condition improves unfortunately, he did not his condition grew critical eventually going to the ICU unfortunately we desperately tried to get ahold of the nurse and doctor but they didn’t care to even pick up the phone they ignored us leaving my husband unattended my husband dialed us telling me that he was in excruciating pain and that the nurses weren’t helping him to alleviate the pain he was crying and shouting to make the pain go away we had to dispute with the nurse over the phone berating her on why she was being ignorant and ignoring her patients in need she gave me a such bad attitude and told me that she’s busy with other patients to attend and that my Husband wasn’t her only main priority. What breaks me the most is when I received a call back about my husband who tested positive for COVID 19 and at this point he was terminal he didn’t respond to the oxygen mask his vitals began to shut down and was killed by this hospital. This hospitals and their negligence with their unsanitary protocols took away my husband’s life they gave him COVID when we brought him for something else. If you actually care about your loved one I would advise you to NOT bring them in here for any medical assistance

Dont take your family members to this hospital. They kill the people there. They dont have emphaty. They dont allow visitors because of the covid but the doctors dont call the family to inform the condition of your family member. And when you call the hospital you only can talk to the nurse that legally can not inform you about the current situation of your family in details. My aun pass away more that two weeks ago there due to a stroke that they did not treat well. When visitors were still allowed we could corroborate that her blood pressure was super high after the stroke, did didnt controlled it and she was unattended in her room. We can not imagine what happened after we were not allowed there. More than two weeks later the Dr havent sign the release in order for us to proceed with the cremation.

Although the news of a loved one in the hospital in critical condition is never easy, I have to say that the staff at Kendall Regional hospital ICU made the experience for my family and I has bearable as possible. From the moment we entered the hospital Marlon and his amazing nurses came and attempted to prepare us for what we were about to see, everyone on the floor and I do mean everyone was supportive and accommodating to how we dealt with our first experience of real grief and death. We were communicated and updated at least every hour if not sooner on his status. The nurses who were at his bedside from the time we arrived til his transition never took their eyes off him as they attempted to save his life. His doctors, the nurses fought right along with him as he tried to survive. They never gave up on him which is all anyone could ask for their loved ones in that situation. My family and I were overwhelmed by the love, compassion, and fight that we all experienced from everyone on that floor when attempting to save his life. If a loved one unfortunately ends up on this floor, trust me, they are in good hands. Thank you everyone for everything. You will never be forgotten.

Is my second time going to the ER at this facility and I am very disappointed because I am not getting proper care I went in with the same problem I had the first time which was 3 months ago and this second time they didn’t even bother to do a more in-depth test since I came in for the same problem. The doctor was not even 100% sure of what I have he just wanted me to go to a specialist. If I came to the ER is because any specialist office is closed on the weekend and I needed medical attention at that moment. I wouldn’t recommend anyone even come to the ER is a waste of time I rather go to a different hospital.

This hospital has once again proven to have poor quality service. Perhaps some nurses and Drs may care, unfortunately, the ones that dealt with my 93-year-old grandma did not. My grandmother was rushed to the ER due to sudden low blood pressure and fainting, while she does suffer from dementia these episodes are not very common unless something is wrong. Obviously, they did not let my mother into the ER due to COVID which is completely understandable however, not one single update was given within the 2 days she was admitted. My mother called the nurses over and over, sometimes they answered and gave vague responses, other times they did not answer at all. In conclusion, my grandmother was discharged without any sort of verdict on what may have caused this. In addition, the nurses gave my grandmother a medication in which she had not taken in months due to it did not do her well, this may very well have been the cause of poor communication by the staff. My grandmother was released after 2 days and arrived at home filled with urine to the point her entire shirt was drenched in urine. She was feeling weak and throwing up all night, we are left worried that another episode may occur since we were not offered any sort of assurance that she had been taken care of accordingly. Its safe to say we will do all in our power to avoid this hospital. If I could leave 0 stars, I definitely would!

Excellent Service! we had our baby delivered from Kendal Regional Hospital. I can not express my stress when I needed to admit to hospital with my wife. Due to urgency I had to give final exam from the hospital. Can you imagine a parent giving his final exam from a hospital? It was only possible because of the service of the doctors , nurses and all other staffs. Excellent food and for all the meals they decorate it nicely. Even they provided us two treats for delivering the baby and getting released from the baby. Nurses are quite nice to attend within 20 seconds of call. I strongly recommend to my friends and family members and everyone to have relief during the emergency. It can reduce your hassle a lot. The lactation consultant Sara is amazing. This is the worst hospital in Florida!!!The treatment they gave my mother was in humane. My mother went in with a stroke On Friday. On Sunday they moved her up to the fifth floor and forgot she existed. They would leave her in a soiled diaper all day, they would put the tray of food in front of her but not close enough for her to reach, thus she couldn’t eat. I was afraid to leave her side.I asked one of the orderlies to help me wash her hair since they had done a CT scan and had The sticky ointment on her head, They simply told me that maybe tomorrow they were too busy. It is sad that we treat our patients in this manner. The last straw was when my mother was going to be transferred to a rehab center and they did not change her diaper and let her travel the whole way with a soiled diaper. This treatment of human beings is just simply unacceptable.I would definitely not recommend this hospital for any family member.

Had kidney stones on vacation years ago and didnt know the different hospitals so the ambulance crew suggested Kendall and took me there. The nurses were loud and rude and couldnt care less about how much noise they made or how much sleep you get. They have signs in the halls asking people to be quiet but they are the noisiest ones. Would come into the room in the morning and open the curtain and look down on you like you were a piece of dirt. Im a white guy from Kentucky on vacation.Heard people screaming several times in pain from procedures in the rooms down the hall that they didnt even close the door to that room to keep other people from hearing it. Absolutely no consciousness whatsoever that I can detect. Most of them just look angry. Doctors were competent food was okay and my urologists assistant Angela was off-the-charts amazing!!! One smart lady and very professional. I put a review on here years ago and it got removed and that upset me. Every time I drive by this place on my way to my vacation spot scuba diving in the keys for the winter months I cringe and think of that place and what happened to me there. I finally pulled out my IV and just left. I suffered from sleep deprivation terribly because they are not concerned about your sleep or how much noise they make or how many times they come in the room because a broken piece of equipment is beeping. They let other family members just stay in my room I shared the night with THEIR family and Im trying to sleep while in the middle of the night these people are talking. Ever hear of visitors hours? They wouldnt enforce it. Unbelievable. When youre trying to heal you need more sleep. Never again!

Worst place to take your love ones unless you want them to be killed. My dad was admitted in that hospital with Covid and I called every day to check on him . No one I mean absolutely no one in that hospital had any empathy when we speak to them. They act like we was a bother and handled it poorly. They doctors never call us back or FaceTime us when they said they were going to. The day he passed they called us two hours beforehand and said that his heart stopped twice and for us to let him go because he was suffering; I begged the guy to see him just in case he passed and also told him we was not ready to let him go and my family was waiting on him including his 7 grandchildrens he said no we cannot see my dad but called us to let us know he passed. I believe they let my pop go. And he didn’t matter it was not their decision to make. Just don’t go there I do not want anyone to go through what we all going through, he was my only parent and I didn’t mind taking him somewhere else where he would be cared for properly; to add the icing on the cake we asked for him to be transferred because they sounded frustrated when we asking questions the doctor become defensive and said no he would not transfer my dad but left the hospital once we got there to see the body and left three stuttering doctors telling us what they think happened. No straight explanation or anything just what they think and different stories. It’s a shame that we lost my daddy this way. He was our only parent and our family. I wish I could give one star. 000. He was very nice and polite and accommodate me since I was unable to walk very well. I was unable to wear closed shoes due to an infection in my big toe. When Dr Gotman saw my toe she immediately said “ I need to take care of this today” a procedure she usually never does on the first visit. She saw how much I needed help and she did not think about it twice. Dr Gotman proceeded with the procedure and it was a total success. In less than a week I was able to walk and my toe heal so well. I’m so please and thankful I found her. She was very patient, kind, friendly and an amazing professional. Thank you again!!!

If you ever have to go to this hospital and have to stay in the med surg floor, nurse Lisandra from 5w is the best of the best, I have been to this hospital several times and had never seen such a compassionate person with such a great attitude towards her patients. Since the moment I was in her care I felt at ease knowing that I was going to be well taken care of. It’s difficult to find persons with that much dedication, I’m truly blessed to have had Lisandra as my nurse.

Worst experience Ive ever had. Staff does not communicate nor do they care. Patient was in ICU for a week and nothing was done. No information or status update given. When finally given some information it was either incorrect or staff couldnt confirm doctors orders. This led to the worsening of a condition that was unrelated to the visit. All they really did for the patient was stuff him with painkillers for a week. Unless you want your insurance milked or have a death wish SKIP THIS HOSPITAL.

This is the worst hospital in Florida! My father fractured his hand and back everything came out fine but we kept on calling and calling and the lady’s that answered the phone were rude and would hang up on us. We were worried about my father not knowing anything.

Such a wonderful experience at this hospital, I just had my baby boy via c section on 5/14/21 and I am so grateful for all of the love and care from the Doctor who performed my c section Dr. Marimon to all the other Doctors who assisted, nurses, assistants, students, nutritional staff, janitors.Everyone was wonderful. My baby, husband and I had great treatment from everyone, they even gave us a special meal to celebrate the arrival of our new baby which made us feel so special and loved.I am so grateful for every detail, for every person who made sure my baby was doing great at all times, and who made sure our stay here at the hospital was comfortable and made sure I was doing good as I recovered from my c section.Thank you @KendallRegionalMedicalCenter for your excellence, for your care and attention during my stay at the Hospital. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for all that you do to make sure my experience was a great one.

Hospital staff was awesome and friendly. A special 5 star ratings goes to the cool nurse Marco on the 2nd floor, his awesome technique kept a smile on my face while in pain. He also inserted the IV needle seamlessly and it was pain free.Keep up the good work, may God bless you all.

Horrible, my doctor in charge that day all she could say was “ we can’t do nothing” me working as a nurse new test could have been done but she kept repeating her self as “ we can’t do nothing my friend I wish I could help you” she ended up discharging me and a few days later more symptoms started to develop. I ended up going to UM hospital and I was kept in hospital with my Iv and treatment for a whole day. To discover I in fact did have a bacteria on my sinuses that was in fact spreading in my eyes and eyes. The doctor in KendallCould have prevented all this from happening if she actually did her job and stopped offering me tramadol and anti anxiety medications.I’m not paying a dime for this horrible service.

Where to start. My husband was taken by ambulance to this hospital unfortunately we asked to be transferred to baptist since most of his primary cardiologist were there but because of the emergent case they had to transfer him to Kendall regional. His congenital heart disease explained to full to Dr. Stewart. He said he would help with his valve we were scared but we went on with the surgery. What a complete disaster. We only saw Dr. Stewart before the surgery and not once I mean not once did we EVER see him again after the surgery instead of checking up on his patient who had a major surgery we got nothing. One night my husband wasn’t doing well the icu nurses were running around trying to save his life and I over heard them saying they couldn’t get ahold of Dr. Stewart. How can a physician not follow up with his patients. It was a scary situation to begin with and I felt like this surgeon had no care for his patient. I hope this serves as a warning to anyone who is going to do any open heart surgery at kendall to stay away. You’re better off at baptist where their surgeons actually come in and check on their patients.

Worst experience ever. The emergency reception has 3 people and only one was working while the other two sat and gossiped. Unprofessional facility, if u are pregnant do not go there. Even in the back they talk to u like ur dumb. I had to walk out and go to another hospital because they made me cry. Definitely not giving birth here.

We had an outpatient procedure. We were told to arrive an hour and half early for registration. During the week before the appointment, we received four emails and a phone call to complete our registration forms early. All forms were signed online and information was provided during a phone call. The rep said we still had to show up at the time we were instructed. The registration process took less than 8 minutes. We had to sit in the ice cold waiting room, during a pandemic for over an hour. The registration clerk, who was super nice, called the Deparment to tell them that we were ready early, but because it was shift change, we had to wait a few minutes. Apparently, the off going shift didn’t tell the oncoming shift because we waited the full hour and a half. At ten minutes past our appointment time, I asked registration to call the Department again and ask how much longer. Within two minutes we were brought to have our test done. The employee said they had no idea we were sitting there! This is NOT your first day as a hospital. And this type of nonsense is unacceptable. You need to tighten your ship and improve your procedures.

I fully understand that we are going through very hard times at the hospitals right now but that does not excuse that a patient has to be in pain because no one can bring them a pain medicine, that is unacceptable, and the only reason why I don’t go right now and pull my mother out is because the excelente doctor that did her surgery today, highly recommended us for her to stay, but I fell that it is really worthless because she is not having the proper care that she needs, and the only reason why I’m giving 2 stars is because her doctor is amazing.

I have lived in Miami for 20 years and have heard so much about this hospital. I went to a different ER that sent me here for further observation and testing. Let me tell you when I say I have no words to describe the sanitary conditions and lack of customer service/bedside manner. The dirtiest and most unsanitary hospital I have ever been in. I was there for 3-4 days with liver issues, and they never changed the sheets. The sheets were yellow by the time I left. Nurses are not attentive at all, and some dont wash their hands. This place is a health code violation and has to be shut down. The service was so bad that the guy right next to me who had a heart attack and was supposed to stay for about a week left after 2 days because of how bad he was treated. I would never in a million years send a loved one to this hospital ever. Even after you complained to the staff about the service nothing is done, and you are just forgotten about. It is insane that a place like this is allowed to even serve the public. They had people on stretchers IN THE HALL and not getting service; mind you some of these people are sick. This was the beginning of the global pandemic, and they had people packed like sardines.

There is zero communication between the nurse/doctors and family members. I had to walk into the ICU Directors office to get an update on my mom after 4 days of her being at the hospital. You also have to be on top of the nurses when it comes to hygiene care for your family. I walked in my moms room one day and she was full of ants, the pad she was lying on was full of urine and the floor had drops of blood and dirty towels. I was HORRIFYIED! Of course after I spoke up and complained, the entire room was full of nurses and the cleaning personnel. I feel bad for people who do not have family members there daily checking up on their sick and loved ones. If it wasnt for me being there everyday, my moms room wouldnt have been as cleaned and my mom would not have been treated the same way. Because of my presence, she had clean sheets, she was bathed and well taken care of. Not the best hospital but i know this comes from the Leadership from the top.
