A great facility and staff. wonderful people, kind and caring. We could not ask for better care. --food was the only small issue, getting salt free/sugar free diet, but the care was amazing. recommended

Post is over 5 years due Health South staff are Caring, professional, creme de la creme. They helped & helped. There’s also a friendly ghost in the “Trump” suite, made me smile every night. Killer Kelly from Canton was awesome

Great experience in Encompass Health. The staff, doctors, nurses, therapy teams and all made the 20 day stay effective, easy,and pleasurable. Great coordination amongst teams, very professional attitude and performance, and very importantly very warm and empathetic treatment. My 82 year old mother walked out stronger, confident, happy and encouraged for a 100% recovery. I highly recommend this facility!!

I just don’t understand the positive reviews for this ‘rehab center’. My mom was there in November & still suffers from a PTSD-like experience every time she speaks of the place.She had broken her hip & we were told that she would receive intensive therapy at this center. Physical & Occupational therapy was provided for about an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. The vast majority of the day was spent in an uncomfortable bed- being ignored by most of the staff. Though some of the staff were wonderful- the majority were uncaring. She begged for help with food & an uncomfortable bed. The food issue was never addressed. My mom is a lifelong vegetarian. We were promised a vegetarian menu - definitely not provided once she arrived. She would often miss meals & just drink Ensure. Eventually someone took pity on her & brought in a foam crate pad for the bed. She was always treated as though she were an annoyance. Anytime she asked for help with pain - hours would go by before she was helped.People working there were far more interested in their phones than their patients.Due to COVID restrictions we were not allowed to visit or help. Terrible experience. I’m writing this to hopefully help others.

My autistic son had a very bad experience there no one from my family will be going back there and forget complaining because I’ve told several people my story but no one has really responded

Bright staff from the PT ( Joel )and OT ( Mary )to my wonderful caseworker, Diana.The Doctors are on top of your Care like nobody’s brother. ( Dr Grant and Dr Nunez ) and their support staff.Clean room and bedding. If you have a concern they will listen and take action.I’d definitely stay here in the future and just might after my last surgery.Thanks everyone I appreciate everything y’all have done to make my stay very comfortable.Ciao,George Glover

My dad was 10 days in Health South Rehabilitation Hospital and all I have to say is thank you. I want to thank Eddy the physical therapist for being so professional and an exellent human being, very patient and understanding. I also want to say congratulate the chef and the kitchen team, I really appreciate their love and effort they put when they present the meal to the patients. My dad was on a pure diet and the food was incredibly good and well presented, it really invited you to eat. I wanted to thank Giselle the Case Manager for always being on top of everything and meet all my dads needs. My dad was very fortunate to be in such a great acute rehabilitation hospital.

My grandmother is in there now and to be out by Monday we were told. But while there, she had not been treated well. She has not been fed and her bed has been soaked in urine as well as her clothes. My family were explaining how they had to call the assistant and they couldn’t even assist properly as if they did not care enough.

I spent 5 days living bedside next to my dad in this facility and I can definitely attest to the professional, caring and friendly environment here. Their system of care is meticulous and you receive a team of doctors, therapist and more to make sure your stay is comfortable and aimed at getting you home stronger and more independent. And Medicare covered all expenses. Thank goodness this facility was available to help get father back on his feet.

Two months of quality rehab. The staff are caring and competent, well trained and compassionate. If you have to repair your broken body this is the place. I had more broken bones than you want to count but I left walking. Not far not fast, but enabled to make it all the way. Thank you so much for the excellent care. Thank you Cigna for paying.

My Dad was here for a few months back in 2003 and he received such great therapy that he literally was wheeled in a stretcher and walked out on his own. The staff was great as well as the doctors. They had a bed in each room for a family member to stay the night all rooms that I recall were private.

My dad had to stay here for about 2 weeks after being in the hospital for 1 and a half. He lost the ability to hold himself up while walking. I have to say I was very hesitant and afraid for him to go to a rehab because of the bad reputation they all have. I was pleasantly surprised with HealthSouth, the staff from the main entrance greeter to the nurses were all so warm and nice. They made my dads stay there very comfortable and he left being able to walk again and hold himself up. They do have to share a room with another patient but its a small price to pay for having good staff, clean facility and good service. If you have to choose somewhere this has my highest recommendation.

The best rehabilitation ever. Made my recovery smooth, lots of attention, every department work in conjunction and many staff members have been long years. Wonderful staff.

Good therapy for recovery for bad accident excellent staff , knowledgable, caring and attentive from nurses aids to medical personnel only reason not a 5 is food not the best.

My grandmother spent 8 days at this facility I couldnt get her out fast enough.Pt and Ot staff were very good the rest of the staff where lazy and very argumentative way understaffed at night.Upon discharge it took nearly three days to get all her meds called in at the pharmacy and none of it was organized we live in the upper keys she had to ride a bus from miami to key west then back to upper keys where she was finally let off at her house, took days to get everything straighten out.Please do not put your loved one in this facility.

They dont have many patience at this time so their care is sub par to none when she gets a chance to go to physical therapy those guys do a good job everything else Makes you Sick to your stomach They have a speech therapist that tells you if you can eat food or can has to be puree by swallowing a dry crackerEmpty than understand the speech therapist because he stuttersWe have nurses that are lost medications not giving at the same time daily it is given wheneverBeen here before Id like to get out now while my mother still alive

Amazing place!!! Thanks God He guided us here, my son is actually receiving therapies for his TBI due a terrible car accident and I can not thank enough all the staff in HEALTHSOUTH MIAMI for all the compassionate and hard dedication to the patients! :-)))

Therapist excellent, doctor excellent, food average, nurses and there assistants good.

The most inattentive nurses and doctors in history, they were slow, inattentive and careless. We had to call the nurse multiple times and even go up to the desk to ask for help. Terrible services.

The worst hospital I have ever seen, the service it’s horrible they treat patients like they doing them a favor to have them there, my mother spent 5 days in this rehabilitation center the worst I ever seen.

Clean and therapists are amazing.

My husband was there for a week and I do not complain about the therapies were very good. But the food is not very good😔 I never reproached that because I understand that it is not a restaurant, but one day a nurse asked for something different from the menu for a patient and that The worst moment happened when the worker said: Tell him that there is no more food, the cosinera is gone and says the same thing, the people are here, they believe that one is their servant, how bad they are, he confronts her because I understand his work is not Easy but education about everything. That was my personal experience.

In 2000, four months of therapy made me get out of my wheelchair.Nothing else matters.
