Great place and wonderful people. Had a procedure done here in February. Everyone was very helpful and nice. Had an issue with my insurance and Pam in finance helped explain what was going on and now everything is being taken care of. Would definitely recommend Surgery Center of Gilbert and will use them again if I need a procedure that can be handled there.

I was surprised to see any poor reviews on here as my experience was great. The woman at the front desk got me checked in, I was taken back less than a minute later, and did all the pre-op stuff from there. I have never had surgery so I was so nervous about the anesthesia and every nurse that I interacted with was so warm and reassuring - especially Tracy! At one point a nurse who wasn’t even assigned to me stopped into my room to tell me she noticed I looked scared and she wanted to give me a hug. Everyone was so sweet and it made me feel so relaxed. They even called me 2 days later to check in and see how recovery was going. I am so glad my doctor chooses to do his surgeries out of this center!

Phenomenally horrible. The pre-op people have zero communication with those in surgery or in post-op. If you have a question- unless it is already on a preprinted sheet, they will have no answer. No clue even what medication was prescribed (if any) for after surgery. I had no idea healthcare could be this horrific. Truly traumatizing and degrading for any patient or family members.What the doctor told me by phone after surgery was contradicted multiple times in post op. What I was told pre op didn’t even come close to being the same from any other person at any stage. When the surgery goes far longer than they expect.... and you ask for a status update... “we don’t do those”. I was told to ask the pharmacist what the doctor prescribed because they don’t know. How is this even possible?! This is my 14-year old- it shouldn’t be this hard to be made aware of changes, updates and basic information.It is a rush job, in and out. Surgery was rescheduled 3 times in 24 hours, we had no idea what was going on and apparently no one there knew either. I have no idea how this place is allowed to provide medical care to anyone. Their practice of care is flat out dangerous to their patients. Avoid at all costs. People don’t matter here. Only the bottom line.

My experience was awesome!. I was given the royal treatment. The staff was very professional and nice when I arrived, during and before leaving. I received a call from one of the nurses a couple of days later to check in to see if everything was going good. I would definitely recommend Gilbert Surgery Center.

Office staff were great. That is until I got called back. Rude comments were made by a staff member and they refused to help me call for my transportation when done with surgery. At this point was loopy and out of it. I would not recommend this place.

My son had surgery here. Im not sure what everyone else is talking about in regards to payment. They contacted my insurance company, gave me a payment plan and made it less stressful. Every staff person, doctor, and nurse was incredibly kind. I was pleased with this center.

Not sure what happened to all these other reviewers, my experience was nothing but great! The billing/intake gal billed me exactly what I expected, per my insurance. All the medical staff in the back was sensational with my 5 year old.

I have never ever been treated so poorly by someone who calls them self the CEO of the company. My son went in for a broken nose back in 2014. My wife gave them both her and my insurance cards. The nurse told her that whatever the one insurance company doesnt pick up the other would. low and behold we get a bill for 2156.00. So my we called and we ere told the the insurance companies denied the claim because of the Birthday rule. We have never heard of this and you would think since a doctors office deals with this day in and day out they would know how to handle it. So after a million phone calls back and forth they finally said they had it figured out and it was taken care of. I get a bill this past July stating we owe the 2156.00. So again we call to try and figure out why this wasnt taken care of like they said it would be. And the most ignorant CEO Ive ever talked to proceeds to tell me we never gave them both insurance, cards but yet everyone else has it in the records that they have both and we are responsible, then proceeds to hang up.Best part my kids nose is still crookedafter reading there reviews seems to be the case with this place.

I recently had a routine procedure done by my doctor at this outpatient surgery center. The staff was friendly, the facility was clean and very modern. Everything went well, until they woke me up after the surgery. I was told I would not be in any intense pain but this was absolutely not the case upon awakening.This is the single most painful event that has taken place in my life to date. When I woke up I was practically in shock at how much pain I was in. I kept asking and asking for some kind of relief, but the nurses said oh its not that bad andtheres nothing I can do for you .The nurses rushed me out the door to my waiting ride and told me to go to the emergency room if it really hurt that bad. I was in intense pain (sobbing non stop) for over two hours after waking up until I got IV pain killers administered by the amazing staff at banner hospital just up the road from this little shop of horrors.This was the single most traumatic medical treatment I have ever undergone. I have never felt pain like this before, and hope to never feel that pain again. The surgeon couldnt be bothered to help, he was already on to the next patient.I DO NOT recommend this facility to ANYONE. For any reason. STAY AWAY!

We had a decent experience with the surgery for my child, medical staff was great, front office seemed a little unorganized. Like other reviewers, I was charged up front prior to the procedure and prior to insurance. What a surprise they over-billed and I am left trying to get them to give me my $600+ back. I have never had a facility bill in this manner. If you plan to go here, just know you are in for an insurance headache.

Id read a few very negative reviews for this surgery center and was very apprehensive. However, I found the facility clean, and the personnel kind and considerate . Everything ran according to schedule. In addition, the insurance claims were handled perfectly. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this facility .

Never go here. Surgeons are good but finance department is a joke. They have a lien against my pending lawsuit, but threatened to send me to collections unless I paid cash before the case has even settled.

Great new facility and highly professional staff

I had as close to a flawless Inguinal Hernia repair performed as Out of Pocket (self-insured) procedure. The facility was recommended by my well informed and very transparent surgeon Dr. Howard on the who, what, how and why regarding this surgery center. The facility was not over the top and is designed for its sole purpose in getting the job done with clean rooms, very modern equipment, efficient front office and surgery pre-op / post-op personnel / facilities. Definitely a great value if you do your homework comparing 3x more costly Banner Health. My results were very good, and no infections, no weird follow-ups or surprise billings I didnt first research myself. For the reviewers in here blaming the CEO for their lack of understanding insurance, I am sorry but that nowadays lies with the patient in making those pre-op phone calls and discovery. Highly recommend if you are on a budget, but still want quality care and treatment.

I was not very happy with this place, first they had me scheduled with the wrong Doctor, then I had to wait for a hour in the waiting room, when I was called back it seemed like there were so many people, and I dont think any of them knew what they were there for, I dont think they treat patients very good, I am 77, and have Seizures, which I informed them, after changing into the gown this RN came to get me, and said can you walk, I was not very steady on my feet, I thought I would only walk a short distance, but it was more than I thought, they should have put me in a wheelchair, then when I get to the room, okay get on that bed, again no help from anyone, I almost fell over, they didnt care. I have been to several Pain Centers, and have never been treated like this. I have a F/U, and I will inform the Doctor, if I need more Injections, I will request another Pain Center.

My 6 year old had tonsil and adenoid surgery 1st week of January 2016. This surgery center collects your insurance deductible upfront before they even do the surgery. After surgery, they collect payment from my insurance company as well. They now owe me reimbursement of over $700. It is now April 21 and I still havent got my money back. After tens of phone calls over 60 days they finally agreed to send me a check a few weeks ago . Well it turns out they had the wrong address after they copied it down off my license day of the surgery so they had to send another last Thursday. 1 week later, I still dont have the check. After speaking with the director of the facility today, she refused to stop payment on those checks. I got firm with her and insisted I come down and get a check today. She refused and said I was harassing her and the office. Im now in contact with the surgeon to help me. The surgeon and anesthesiologist that performed the surgery didnt collect the deductible, they let your insurance figure it all out. I would never use this surgery center again. Insist that your surgeon use a different facility.
